Advanced search in Ovi Contacts

Hello. Is any chance do add to Ovi Contacts possibility to advanced search in contacts? I want to search by phone number, but it doesn't work, it only work with name.

In Accounts Application Pls check this "<b>ACC_SEARCH_LOG_04</b>" field group under Layout PCUI=>Application element=>Fieldgroup=>field grp structure. If this field grp exist with fields there then your pblem will be solved. If fields are not there add some fields and test it. it should work.

I am having problems using Firefox with Ebay in the last 10 days. The advanced search link is dropping off the page and there is no way to access it now.

I have been using Firefox and Ebay for at least 12 years with no problems whatsoever. But in the last 10 days I have been having trouble with the Advanced Search link disappearing from the page on Ebay. If I do a search from the Ebay home page it will show the results, but the Advanced Search link (in blue letters) which always used to appear to the right of the Search button is gone. If I click Search again at this point I can see the Advanced Search link appear for a millisecond, but then disappear just as quickly. Also, if I refresh the page the same thing happens. I tried to duplicate this problem with Internment Explorer and it didn't occur, so it appears to be Firefox that is causing this issue. Of course when I contacted Ebay they told me my problem was that I wasn't using Internment Explorer! I love Firefox and do not want to switch!

You can try to clear the cache and cookies to see if that makes a difference:
<h3>Clearing Cache</h3>
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.

This is a question about the iTunes Store. I have the correct artist, title, composer, and album name for a song popular in the 1970's. The store's Advanced Search feature can't find any of the information. How can I get Search to find the song I seek?

What can I try if the store's Advanced Search strikes out trying to find the song I want?

Perhaps the song is not available in MP3 format, or isn't available in the iTunes Store, or simply not available in your country. (A Norwegian band's first album from the 1980s became available in MP3 format only in April 2012; an example that not everything is automatically is available in MP3 as soon as possible.)
... and before any wag says, or even thinks "it", yes - the Norwegian band's album is very good! (Still waiting for their second album, from 1982, though!)
You may be surprised at how often a song or album is not available because of "contractual problems" - in other words, someone's being greedy, difficult, or both. (Another album I like, from a UK band of the 70's, was unavailable for a long time because - and I'm quoting the band's leader - "the copyright owner wanted too much money for the album to be on CD.")
You could try looking for the song in other stores. If it's not yet available anyhwere, you'll just have to be patient. You could try contacting the band via any websites they have, and asking them about it's availability. What's the song? Perhaps I (or soemoen else) might be able to confirm it's availability on MP3 from another source.

Getting an error in advanced search

Advance search not working with gender check

I am not sure if this is something you can help me with or if I am missing something totally obvious.
I have a "advanced search form" which has a few options to check through such as age, city, nationality etc and I have two recordsets, one for the logged in user who's gender is stored in $SameGenderCheck
And I have an SQL statement for the search form's search criteria.
Below is the SQL statement:

I have two tables "profile" and "profile_details" (there is a left join here)
The name and contact details are in the table called "profile" and personal details such as height, nationality,marital status etc
All fields are filled in.
"Profile" also stores the gender of the user.
So the idea of the form is to allow the visitor to type/select any and all of the search criteria and adv_search_results.php should display the matched criteria.
The user must not be the same gender as the people in the results. So if user is male the person they are searching for should only be female. And vise versa.
Here are my code snippets.

Hi, I'm sorry if this not the perfect sub-forum to but this article in. However I have use Ovi Contacts and I love it but I find things which can improve the service.
I'd love to add this features:
Support groups: I can Create a group, send the link, Invention, Group ID for my friend to join us.
Quick Smiles: small button to show the smiles quickly without needing to open the app menu then select add smile.
Typing messagehow If the other one typing now or not.
Support sending a broadcast: Broadcast for all my contacts on few clicks.
Support sharing files: Share a photo, song with my friends quickly and easily, Also enable the ability to open the contact photo enlarge if I want that.
Sort by option: support sorting by Name, Sex, age, status, etc..
Block feature: a timed block job to block some one who I wont to talk with at the moment.
Change that chat background and fonts: Support changing background from the basic one to the active theme default background and solid colors, Also support change font color and size (In 5800 its a kind of small, At least big as the system size)
Also I tried to install it in the first week after produce it as a beta in E71 , I have these problems (Maybe it was fixed already in the last version):
Error when typing a non-English numbers as a username
Error If my email contact a "-" or a "_"!!
Sometimes after searching for a contact the result message not appears.
That's all what I have in this moment, Please make a reply with what you think.

I guess it would also be nice to see a forum for all apple users to input their ideas. One where Developers would go to see them as well. This would give all Apple users a place to share their wish lists and see what others have as input.

Searching Text in Contact Notes Field

Hi,
I have been a Windows Phone user all along. I am interested in switching over to Nokia.
I am looking for one basic requirement of being able to search through the Contacts Field for any text.
I use MS Outlook and store lot of text in the Notes Field inside each of my Contact and I need to be easily able to bring up all contacts that have a particular word or string inside the notes area. I can easily do this in Windows phone. But so far no nokia user has been able to tell me for sure if this is possible, if so how.

Yes you CAN search the notes field (for any text) in a contact, but ONLY with Nokia's Search Utility (free download http://mobilesearch.nokia.com/index.html).
The Address Book application is limited to searching by first name, last name, and company name only.
The Nokia Search Utility is very good, but it's not exactly fast. Generally speaking the Symbian operating system requires patience.
It's worth knowing that Nokia phones impose a limitation on the size of the notes field in an Outlook contact. The limitation varies from each Nokia model. But for example, notes (in a contact record) are limited to 255 characters on the N80, and 1,000 (one thousand) characters on the N95. On my old Nokia 6600 there was no such limit imposed, which was great. I often wonder why the oldest model phone had better support for Outlook sync, than the latest models - perhaps it's all about memory conservation.
I also use the notes section in my Outlook contacts extensively. Ideally I would use a Windows Mobile device for true Outlook synchronisation. But I can't find a Windows Mobile device as capable as the N95, so I tolerate and find work arounds Nokia's sync issues.
Nokia do a good job of updating their software frequently. Hopefully if it's demanded enough, they will remove the limitation on the size of the Notes field.
Microsoft Outlook 2003 also has a limit on the size of the Notes field in a Contact Record, but it's much more generous at over 1,000,000 (one million) characters.
Come on Nokia! Stop truncating the notes field!

If use Ovi Contacts I see wich of my friends are connected but if I use Chat all of them appear disconnected Why?

Trouble with the advanced search function on acrobat reader. Why won't it open? it used to, but suddenly stopped working.

For some inexplicable reason the advanced search option in my acrobat reader 11.0.3 has stopped working. It worked just fine a few weeks ago. I am running Snow Leopard on my Macbook Pro. When I open advanced reader the pdf file I am trying to search ceases to be the active window. But no other window exists (in 'window' search is checked, but there is nothing there!). Does anyone have any ideas. I have downloaded and re-installed reader twice, and removed all earlier versions (I think). This is kind of urgent!

Advanced Search WP - how to keep user inputs

Hi,
We have a SP 2013 foundation with search server enabled.
We have put an advanced search web part in a page and a results page.
All is ok but we are looking to a way (button) to be back to the advanced seach WP page with the WP filled with the input data even after navigation within a lot of results page.
This excludes the back navigator

Hi François,
Based on your description, my understanding is that you want to add a button to be able to back to the Advanced Search web part page with the inputs.
Without using back navigation, I recommend to use code to achieve this goal.
Firstly, add the button with onclick event which will redirect to the Advanced Search web part page on the results page with the redirect URL set to be
http://server/Pages/advanced.aspx?k=xx (“k=xx” should be extracted from the results page URL.)
You can refer to the link below for button onclick event:

Secondly, add code in the Advanced Search web part page to extract the k=xx part from the redirect URL, and then put the corresponding value to the right place in the Advanced Search web part.

Hello,
Could you please advice how to implement following logic:
I've modified advanced search web part (scopes, doc types and etc.).
In Miscellaneous I've put resulst URL of _layouts/OSSSearchResults.aspx.
I cannot modify this page, how to create result page from scratch?

Hi Azamat,
As my understanding, you want to create a custom search result page for Advanced Search Box web part.
You can do as:
Create a page called search.aspx, add a Search Core Results web part into it.
Edit the page that host the Advanced Search Box web part, edit the web part.
Then in Miscellaneous, put the URL of search.aspx page.

N85 v30 Ovi Contacts

Supposedly, Ovi Contacts is supposed to be included in the v30 firmware for the N85. It wasn't showing up on mine, so I tried all the resets and tried to reinstall the v30 firmware. But this feature is nowhere to be found. Google search led me to this article which points out a similar problem:

well n85 is not exactly outdated...it has not been a year since its release it will be in november i believe. the issue here is that v30 of firmware is considered pretty mature. i have yet to see an n series phone go beyond that, well that will change once the foundation starts releasing the updates with the whole new take on symbian. n97 is a good phone if you understand certain annoyances like immature firmware niggles here and there. the battery on my n97 is actually amazing so i have no complaints about that at all. its your call i suggest you wait and see what happens next with the line up of nokia phones. n85 is a really good phone and it will get you through once you search the market and help you make a decision. don't rush into anything and consider other options like 5800xm or x6 that is upcoming ???? one thing is never rush into a phone purchase.

How to get all Conditions in Advanced Search

Hi All,
I'm implementing the AdvancedSearch using Query bean.
I have defined the Criteria row with one Item of Varchar2 Datatype.
On Advance Search the poplist shows only two conditions (Lookup type=ICX_CONDITIONS) of "is" and "is not". How to get the complete list of conditions ("contains", "ends with", "starts with"....)

What is the item type for which you get only the two conditions.
If the item type is OAMessageChoiceBean or OAMessageLovInputBean the conditon poplist will contain only those two options. And if the datatype is Boolean the conditon poplist will again contain only those two options.
