Advantages of Find Circular Edge 3 over previous versions?

This particular IMAQ vision tool seems to have gone through a number of iterations. Can anyone comment on whether it actually does a better job of finding edges?

I am not aware of the actually performance difference but you can compare their functionality with the documents below. The most noticeable difference is Find Circular Edge 3 has many more image input types than the other two, so now you can incorporate color.

Hello,
Roundness or residual represents the least square error of the fitted circle to the entire set of points.
The value you would receive if you had a perfect circle would be 0 since there would be no error. You can see the formula for this value if you look at the online help for the IMAQ Fit Cirlce under residual. This is the function that is called by IMAQ Find Circular Edge.

LV Find Circular Edge 2 library function?

Hi,
I have been using the IMAQ Find Circular Edge vi to determine pixel information about images being generated in my lab. The program works fine, but upon looking into the vi, I couldn't seem to find the function or algorithm actually used to determine the edge. It lists it as LV_FindCircularEdge2, and the library call node lists the function inputs and the call itself, but not the contents of the function, and searching through the help library or online isn't turning this information up. Can anyone tell me the function? I am not interested in altering it, just would like to know exactly how it is done for the sake of understanding it.

Unfortunately, how the actual function is operating in the dll call is proprietary and as such, there isn't going to be documentation available to the public for how the function is working. Adobe Edge Animate CC (previous versions too) keep crashing when opening OS X file panels

Hello there,
Edge Animate CC crashes almost 30% of the time it opens a standard file OS X window (such as Open, Save, etc). It's a nightmare as you never know if your project is going to be saved or killed...
I had the same exact problem in previous versions.
Tried uninstall and clean preferences and re-install, no solution.
Crash happens randomly when accessing the standard OS X file panel, you see the very first frames of the panel opening (zooming from center screen) and just after that it crashes.
At the moment I can reproduce the crash with 100% chance in this way:
- Launch Animate CC
- Create a new project
- Go to Library>Symbols>Import Symbols
- crash
PS: There is no Edge Animate listed in the bug submission form page!

Exchange 2010 Edge server shows previous version

I have an Exchange 2010 environment with the Edge role installed on TMG and its working fine. All servers have had SP3 installed and rebooted.
I am trying to introduce my first Exchange 2013 server into the environment but the readiness check tells me not all the servers have SP3. On the Edge server it shows SP3 is installed but from all other Exchange servers it shows SP2.

For anyone else wondering. I've done this in my lab, and I didn't have to remove the old subscription, just export the file from your edge server, copy it to any server running emc internally and import it, then force a sync and the version should
update.
On edge server open exchange
     powershell and run New-EdgeSubscription -FileName
     "C:\EdgeSubscriptionInfo.xml"
Import edge file
     into new server

In the console tree, navigate
     to Organization Configuration >
Hub Transport.
In the result pane, click the
     Edge
     Subscriptions

Need Illustrator CS6 and can't find it in the previous version options

My son needs Illustrator CS6 for a class he's taking, and his teacher said we could download it from Creative Cloud. However, when I look in the Apps tab, under "Find new apps," and select "Previous versions" from the drop down menu, Illustrator isn't one of the options. How can I get it from Creative Cloud?

Videos not playing in iTunes 7, where can I get previous version of iTunes

Since "upgrading" to iTunes 7, I can't get any of my videos to play in iTunes--they show up but nothing happens when I try to play them. This includes videos I bought via iTunes and DVDs I imported using Handbrake. I didn't upgrade to Quicktime 7 because I was afraid it would cause even more problems for the movies spent hours importing. So I have two questions:
(1) If I get the upgrade to Quicktime 7, will that allow my videos to play?
(2) If not, how can I revert back to the earlier version of iTunes? I have tried searching the forums and have found some information about how to remove iTunes 7, but can't find where to download the previous version (would that be 6.05--I can't remember).

I want the previous version of FF. FF 4.0 is too damn unstable!!

I can't find anywhere to download the previous version of FF.
I absolutely do not want to use FF 4.0.
It crashes too much. And the supposedly new features pretty much all suck.

To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

i used a swatch for a client graphic and have since lost the laptop it was on. Am now in cs5 and think the swatch was from cs2 or 3.

What is advantage of iMovie 10.0.1 over 9.0.9?

I work with iMovie sporadically. I knew my way around the old version of iMovie (9.0.9) where all my events where listed in iMovie Events folder, and my Projects in iMovie Projects folder. Events were grouped by year in iMovie, which made it easy to navigate and find clips.
In moving to iMovie 10.0.1 my events and projects have been updated into one big movie library (what it seems to me).
In iMovie I can see the events inside the library (down left hand of screen) but they are no longer grouped by date, but are alphabetical. (Changing the view option to sort by date seems to affect clips inside an event, not the grouping of events).
I have eventually found date info for each clip. There is an option to show seperate days in events, but it seems that the date of my clips is now the date they were imported to my Mac originally, not the date of original recording.
My projects are all grouped in one folder
It feels like my history of video I have recorded is now quite difficult to work with.
I am assuming iMovie 10.0.1 includes a lot more editing functionality. But in terms of managing events and video files it seems to have gone backwards.
My question to the iMovie experts - what is the advantage of iMovie 10.0.1 compared with previous versions?

I think a more helpful discussion is not about the adavantages of one over the other, but rather the differnces between the two.
iMovie version 10 represents almost a complete rewrite of the application. Version 10 is now a 64 bit application and can take full advantage of the latest processors and hardware. In theory, this means a real performance boost, particularly on newer Macs.
iMovie version 10 also now uses a much more flexible Library file system, the same one, in fact, that Final Cut Pro X now uses. Features like keywords have gone missing as has some sorting functionality.
Hopefully we'll see these and other "missing" features return.
On thing about Projects is that they now need to reside inside an Event. But they certainly don't all need to be in the same Event. As you get to know it, you'll find that you can create different Events to help keep both your clips as well as your Projects organized.

Currently PI 7.0 is only available for real time implementation. You could have the version of PI 7.1 from SDN, but that not for the real time implementation. Its limited only for individual usage.
There is huge difference between PI 7.0 and PI 7.1.
1. PI 7.0 is the part of Netweaver 2004s and PI 7.1 is key entity in eSOA.
2. PI 7.1 have various mapping Enhancements as well as reusability of UDFs across the mappings etc. which is not available in PI 7.0

I want to download previous version 3.6 for Mac OS Leopard, 4.0 doesn't work on my config; can't find earlier version download and sadly 4.0 overrode my version then said I couldn't use 4.0, so now I have none!

Foolishly tried to update to 4.0 which, once downloaded said it would not work on my OS, but also overrode my previous version so I deleted the lot thinking I'd start over and download the earlier version, however I CAN'T FIND IT ANYWHERE. What's going on with that? Thanks.

I have PPC - thanks, I'll have a look at that website. I downloaded v3.6.17 but still having a problem - maybe didn't erase fully the previous version and it's getting stuck. I'm going to delete everything and start over as Firefox is my preferred browser.

If you are going to run around with sensitive files on your file system, you might be better off using a whole disk encryption so that every file is encrypted, any deleted file contains encrypted contents. As long a no one can access your files using your encrytpion keys, all your data is secure.
Also secure delete is not really going to do much on a Solid State Drive, and again whole disk encryption would be a better choice.
For a moderate amount of data, secure erase does not take too much time. But if you have a ton of file and/or a few really large files to erase, secure erase can take a long time to complete as it is doing multiple pass to write and overwrite the file's storage with patterns of data that make it extremely difficult to recover the original data. That takes time.
Finally, if you have been updating a document, previous editions may have been given over to free storage as new versions are written, such that when you decide to erase the file you may only be doing secure erase on the most recent copy.

How do I cut the lines to get the circular edge?

What I'm asking is how to make my lines have that circular edge like the inside of these lines.. I'm sure its some pathfinder tool where you lay a circle on top of the lines but I can't seem to find the correct order to get this look... Any advice? P.S. I'm still tweeking the colors and such so.... AND the larger circle is the one i was trying to use to cut the lines...

Group your lines together
Draw a black circle on top (black will be your color to make things invisible)

Select both
Transparency >> make opacity mask, use these settings
Note: there are 2 squares in the transparency palette.
Left Square highlighted (as shown above) - edit art
Riight square highlighted - edit the mask
