Advantco sFTP Adapter

Hi Experts,
I want to connect to sFTP server.wherein the connectivity via the scripts has to be done without scripts.
We are planning for Advantco Adapter. May I have some materials on installation / post installation steps?

Hi,
if this doe not work only for this adapter then write a message to Advantco
as it's probably their implementation that has got something different and your module does not work

Hi,
That is depending on your requirement, if requirement with EDI better to choose Seeburger else choose other one. Both are working fine performance wise.
SeeBurger have many EDI specific functionality like Splitter , Functional Acknowledgment , Auto mapping etc. So if you have EDI in your project SeeBurger would be winner. Else you can choose other adapter based on other factor.
Advantco SFTP adapter allow for different encryption algorithms such as triple DES, Blowfish.

Advantco SFTP for retaining source file name

We are using Advantco SFTP adapter in a File to File scenario on both sender and receiver side. We have 2 files to be picked from Source (both with different name) and need to place them on receiver directory with the name that we picked from source directory without conversion. Can anyone suggest how we can do this using Advantco SFTP adapter without using JAVA mapping ?

Hi Pankaj,
use the ASMA parameter "File Name" in sender channel and ASMA parameter "File Name" in receiver channel.
this is worked for my scenario.

Communication channel Failure of SFTP adapter type.

I have a communication channel failure while sending data from a system using SFTP adapter.But when i cross checked in SXMB_MONI i am unable to find any errors.
Error is : Current transaction is marked for rollback: Trace of setRollbackOnly() invocation. (Software version: 3.0.17).
Do anyone face this error previous?

i am using advantco SFTP adapter at sender side, it is giving the following error in Runtime workbench
Error: Cannot connect to SFTP server. Host: #######; port:##; username: ######; home directory: ; current directory: ; ; private key store: ####; private key alias: ###; ; server version: SSH-2.0-Connect:Enterprise_UNIX_2.4.02:
connection is closed by foreign host (Software version: ###)
cross checked the SFTP connection, it is working fine.
Can anyone have an idea about SFTP adapter?

Trigger File Option in SFTP Advantco Sender Adapter

Hi ,
What is the purpose of Trigger file option in sender SFTP adapter?When i enabled Advance selection for source file we have this functionality.Can i use this option to delete the multiple files in the same directory instead of using File Name Mask.
We have scenario to delete 4 files from application server in that only one file should be sent to partner and the rest should be delete from application server.
Actual solution is to use to use script to delete the rest of the files do we have any other alternative.

Another alternativet is to write your own customer adapter module and using java programming you can delete remaining 3 files. This is bit complex comapre to script writing but one advantage is with adapter module is that, you can provide the deteted file names with time stamp in the audit log of XI message, which will help in troublshooting if some issue happens.

SFTP adapter Masking Issue

Hi All.
I have a SFTP (Advantco) Sender adapter.
It was working fine.
Now i have used Exclusion Mask in it.
It worked fine with File Sender Channel but when testing the same mask in SFTP sender Channel iam getting the following error
"Failed to lookup channel binding. Reason: Couldn't retrieve binding for the given channelId: Binding:CID=19af9e023d2e3980bd342482f9ad3f68; (Software version: 2.0.16)"

Channel was not binded to SenderAgreement.

It depends on the adapter you are using to achieve the SFTP protocol (seeburger, advantco,...?). However, most of them don't support multiple FTP connections with the same adapter. But this is easy to achieve by adding many communication channels to the Receiver Determination of the scenario.

Key based authentication issue in SFTP adapter

Dear Experts,
We have a scenario ECC -->SAP PI 7.0-->SFTP server where we are trying to connect to the SFTP server with a Advantco(3rd Party) SFTP adapter. We have placed our private key in a local folder in PI server (not using Net Weaver Key Store) and shared corresponding OpenSSH public key to the trading partner maintaining the SFTP adapter. However, while trying to connect the server through PI, we are getting “com.jcraft.jsch.JSchException: Auth fail” error. Our basis team has confirmed that the SFTP server is reachable when they are trying manually having the same key-pair, but only our SFTP adapter is not able to connect.
Could you please tell me if we are missing any part of configuration? Like any specific location we need to place the private key in PI server?

It's solved now. there was some problem related to passphrase we were giving at the time of generating the key. We have generated a key pair without passphrase and the adapter can reach the target SFTP server properly.

When I put the Authentication Type as Public Key,I need to give additional input parameters lik:
Type of Key Storage: Local File Syatem / Netweaver Key Storage
Private Key File: ________
Passphrase: _____________
what does these parameters inply????
Why do we use a public key a authentication???/

Hi,
I think you need to use the certificates to encrypt and decrypt the data and the public key will be available in this certificates.
Looks like comms channel is looking for the certificate file.

My requirement is i need to dynamically create a file name and put it into a predefined folder(of a third party system) with SFTP adapter.

Hi Experts,
I have SFTP to FILE adapter without ESR objects scenario.
I just need pick file from remote location and drop in to receiver side with same file name.
In this what ever I am picking up source files via SFTP adapter need to generate the same file name in receiver side.
When I have choose ASMA in SFTP adapter it is failing receiver side (File) . File name is not found like .
I have put file name is XYZ_*.* in source in SFTP adapter and Target side *.* in File adapter
this configuration is not working getting error in receiver side.
Can you please suggest to me any alternate solution for this scenario.

File name : In case of .txt file give the filename as ".+\\*.txt",in case of .csv file give the filename as ".+\\*.csv" and in case of any other file format give the filename as " ".+\\*".

Need to read source file without deleting it - Sender SFTP adapter

Dear friends,
The data from the source file needs to be read by PI on a daily basis. The file should not be deleted.
Vendor updates the file on a daily basis with file name DataFeed.xml
How to acheive this in Sender SFTP adapter ?

Hi Renu,
Unfortunately as of latest release of SFTP adapter. Arching is not possible :(. really dont know why :).
as a work around what you can do is create a scenario as 1 sender and 2 reicever.
here: 1 sender: will be the sender fileadapter which will pick the file from souce.
1st receiver: will be a receiver file channel which will palce back the file in the source Archive folder.
2ed Receiver: this will be the actual receiver to which the data has to be given.
Or write a Module in Sender adapter which will archive the files in new location.
Note: Here i am assuming that each time the source creates a new file with same name which contains new data in it everytime.

Use another interface File to file (By pass) using file adapter which does the mask exclusion of the file which are not required.

Picking file in sequence/Queuing   in sender SFTP adapter.

I am using SFTP adapter in sender side, it has no option of quality of service ( EOIO) and queue name as we have in FTP adapter configuration .Is there any predefined module provided by Sap which i use in the modules Tab in communication channel configuration to get the functionality of queuing ? just like we use strictXMlto plain bean etc.
I have 3 files which needs to proccess in a sequence one after another in order.I CANT USE BPM or Even FTP because of Security reasons.

I have tried using AF_Modules/DynamicConfigurationBean in module tab present is the sender SFTP adapter with the attribute qualityOfService.
parameter name                  Parameter value
     key.0                         insert http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Messaging qualityOfService
    value.0                        ExactlyOnceInOrder
But in Moni i dont see the 3 messages didnt go in the same queue.But when i double click and open the dynamic configuration present in the soap header section i can see the values which i given in the module parameter.
Is there any way i can change the quality of service to EOIO at runtime ? how to change the default EO to EOIO.
