Advertising Channels inserted into my Hidden Channels list without my consent

Curious if anyone else had 5 or more channel listings forced into their Channel Options - Hide Channels list, advertising some kind of event by the rock band "The Grateful Dead"??  They appeared about 3 weeks ago.  I called to complain, they said to send a letter to a complaints PO box in Austin.  Also in May I was seeing channels inserted, usually one at a time, advertising things like "Visit Arkansas, the Natural State".  Just today, channels 1532 and 532 appeared in my Hide list saying "IHeart Radio App".

Complain all you want.  That's how it is.  Always has been.
Many times, they disappear as quickly as they appeared.  This will be the case with the Grateful Dead ad.  Most likely, Arkansas will disappear with time and be replaced with another.  If they really bug you, hide them.
The IRadio is a new App.  It's not an ad.  Again, hide it if you don't like it.

  • Insert into two tables with trigger on PK in second table

    Hi evereone, ineed help.
    I have two tables (organizations, addresses).
    On addresses table i have trigger on PK. When i do insert i must get this param and insert into OrganizationTable for reference.
    Without ADF i can do insert with returning on addresses, than do insert on organizations with this returning param. How can i do this in ADF business logic using trainTaskFlow?
    Thanks all.

  • Is there a way to access the initialized channel list?

    I am using the CAN Channel vi's.  In a CAN Read vi, I want to access the channel list which was initialized in CAN Init.  I pass the task ref into the CAN Read vi.  I want to grab the channel list and use it to name the data that is coming back from the CAN read for each channel.  I don't see that the Get Names.vi returns the channel list in task ref.  Is there some way to do this?

    Hi,
    The Getnames VI only provides a channel list, not a handle. The init or init start VI provides the handle. See the Channel Monitor VI for more Info in how to use the get names VI to provide a channel list.

  • Channel List I Can Edit

    OK, so, in the 3 days tthat I've had FIOS, I've found out that I cannot filter out the channels that are not in my package. I can set this up in favorites, but I can only do the DVR via the website, the others I must do manually.
    I've looked on the FIOS website, and found PDFs and other lists that I cannot edit. Can anyone point me to a list of channels that I can copy and paste into Excel and make my own channel lists?

    I did a Bing search of "FiOS Channel Lineup" and got many hits.  Most are PDF or web-based lists.  Interesting though, the Verizon site http://www22.verizon.com/Residential/FiOSTV/ChannelLineUp/ChannelLineUp.htm now has a survey popup when you close the browser for the page.  You might want to submit a comment that they should add an Excel or csv file list as an option.

  • Analog Source Triggering with more than one channel in channel list

    Hello,
    I am trying to use an analog reference trigger with a channel list that contains more than one entry using a
    M Series 6289. I am aware that this is generally not possible to have more than one channel in the list due to hardware limitations. I was hoping if some sort of workaround exists.
    I am using the NIDAQmx C API to control the card.
    Using a second card that is syncronized via RTSI should
    allow me to use an analog reference trigger to control multiple analog IO channels ... Right ???
    Thanks for any advice!
    Best regards
    Peter

    Hello Peter,
    If you look at the NI-DAQmx Help, Analog Triggering Considerations for E Series, M Series, and S Series Devices section, it says that to pause multiple channels with an Analog trigger, you must wire that signal to APFI0 or APFI1. Therefore, it is possible to perform this operation.
    If you are sharing the AI Sample Clock across RTSI, then you would be able to stop multiple AI channels across multiple devices with the one Analog Reference Trigger.
    I hope this helps,
    Sean C.

  • Access data from from two lists based on lookup columns and insert into another

    Hi,
    I am new in SharePoint and is stuck in some problem.
    I want to insert data in to a list by fetching data from 2 lists.
    The scenario is :
    List A Columns : EmployeeName, EmployeeID, EmployeeSalary
    List B Columns : DepartmentName, EmployeeID, ManagerID
    EmployeeID is lookup column
    I want to fetch data from these 2 lists and insert data into another list:
    List C Columns: EmployeeName, EmployeeSalary, DepartmentName
    Can someone please explain me all the possible approaches to do the above task

    If ListA and ListB are the lists that you created, it would be better to generate the lists data into one list not seperate lists, as they both represents the property information of one employee.
    If they are existing lists, you may have following considerations:
    1. if you are a programmer, it would be easier to have a lookup column at ListA, to generate the EmployeeName, EmplyeeSalary, then using ItemAdded event, to generate the DepartmentName column based on EmployeeID column.
    2. have a lookup column look at ListA, use workflow, set when item is created, start the workflow automatically, then in the workflow, find ListB related item based on EmployeeID column, to set the DepartmentName column, SharePoint designer workflow
    set Item Value activity can do this work, you can research to find more information about how to do this.

  • Recovering DAQ Board channel lists from a program in LabView 2

    I am working on updating a LabView program that was written in LabView 2 or even possibly earlier. I got the conversion CD and upgraded the program so I could open it on LabView 6.1. Unfortunately, in the process of this upgrade, all information regarding the access to the lines of the board was lost. At the time it was last used, it accessed a Multifunction I/O Board for Macintosh Nu-Bus, Part Number 320174B-01 and was using a Macintosh IIci computer. I have a new DAQ board, the NI-PCI-6221 that is in a new Dell workstation, running Windows 2000 and LabView 6.1. I was wondering if there is a way to recover the channel lists that should be in the subVis. Do I need to track down a copy of LabView 2 or 1 to do so? This conversion also involved a Macintosh to PC switch, which if I understand correctly is a problem in the earlier versions of LabView? I was hoping to find the best way to recover this information, so I can properly adjust the program and configure it to my new DAQ board. Thank you.
    Kathleen

    Hello again, and thank you for all of your help thus far. I'm trying to obtain information on the access to the lines of a DAQ board in a program that was written on a Macintosh IIci in LabView 2 (The program and some of the created subVIs are attached). I was hoping someone may have access to LabView 2 and an old Macintosh that could run this. If the program opens I'd like to see snapshots of the screen for the DAQ subVIs. This would help me greatly in what I am trying to do. Thank you.

  • Digital Group Config.vi Channel List Question

    I am having difficulty understanding the syntax for the Digital Group Config.vi Channel List input. I am using the PCI 6507 DIO-96 card and LabVIEW 6.1.
    I would like to configure all three 8 bit ports on PPI 1,2,&3 for input using a single group. I then want to read the entire group and break out the indivual ports at that time. What would the syntax in the Channel List be to configure this group?
    Thanks in advance!

    Thanks RamziH for your help!
    I have looked at this example and understand how it works. I still am confused as to how to configure the DI0-96, though.
    The DIO-96 has four PPI's and each of these has three 8 bit ports. The examples I have looked at do not show any inputs that would control the specific PPI AND port.
    Maybe I am just missing something with this.
    Thank you very much for your help.

  • DCA 5 Ghz Channel List and UNII-2 channels

    Which channels should I have listed in my DCA 5Ghz channel list?  Should I be using or when should I use the Extended UNII-2 Channels
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Utilization of the 5 GHz range and channel list:
    Less congestion, anyone who has been administrating or implemented a wireless knows how many other devices are using the 2.4 GHz range everything from BlueTooth devices (which is found in almost every phone), microwaves (found in office lunch/break rooms), to cordless phones. More particularly microwaves and cordless phones they will congest the 2.4 GHz spectrum without regard for any other device using the RF band. The 5 GHz does not suffer from as much interference as the 2.4 GHz  range does, of course proper survey’s should be done prior to rolling out a Wi-Fi network just to be sure.
    More non-overlapping channel, the 5 GHz range consists of 3 bands. These bands provide us with 21 non-overlapping channels this gives us the ability to more densely pack an area with 802.11a/n access points. Decreasing the amount of clients per AP (With proper load balancing) providing increased throughput, and making roaming a seamless process. Where as the 2.4 GHz range only gives us 3 non-overlapping channels (1, 6, 11). Detailed information on each UNII band can be found below.
    Channel Bonding. While you can perform channel bonding in the 2.4 GHz it is better suited for the 5 GHz range. Channel bonding is how you achieve speeds up to 600 Mbps in 802.11n it does this by making the channels 40 MHz wide compared to 20 MHz wide. Channel bonding at the 5 GHz range still leaves you with 12 non-overlapping channel, while channel bonding in the 2.4 GHz range gives you 1 (possibly 2) channel.
    Future use. The next wireless standard after 802.11n, is most likely going to be 802.11ac which is promising us Wi-Fi speeds in the Gbps’s it plans to accomplish this by using 40, 80, or 160 MHz wide channels this is going to rule out the 2.4 GHz range completely. (Unless it’s changed.)
    UNII-1/Lower Band (5.150 to 5.250 GHz) Non-overlapping channels 36, 40, 44, 48
    UNII-2/Middle Band (5.250 to 5.350 GHz) Non-overlapping channels 52, 56, 60, 64
    UNII-2 Extended (5.470 to 5.725 GHz) Non-overlapping channels 100, 104, 108, 112, 120, 124, 128, 136, 140
    UNII-3/Upper Band (5.725 to 5.825 GHz) on-overlapping channels 149, 153, 157, 161, 165

  • Channel list array adds channel ""

    Hi
    I have made an application for measuring frequency via a HP34970A.
    HP34970A Closes port 101 --> HP5313 measures --> and then HP34970A open the port 101 again. Contunies to port 102.
    i want to use #101 & #102 but # "" is added as well, and gives me a 50sec timeout waiting period.
    The probe watch for the channel list input shows 101, 102 & "".
    On the output it gives me
    #101 reads 5,8ms
    #102 reads 1,6ms
    # ""    reads 0,0000000
    How can i remove "" from the channel list? i am sure it is not in the list itself, only 2 channels there.
    Thanks,

    Your loop shouldn't iterate more than twice.  So I see no reason it should try for a third time.  Is there more to the code than what you gave us here?
    And you are not opening your relays.  You need to wire the Channel List of your last sequence frame.

  • Insert Into Vs Insert through a Procedure

    Hi All,
    I want to make a comparison between insertion into a table through normal insert into staement and through a procedure.
    I create a table call test_table with 6 columns and a procedure to insert in that table.

    So in session 2 parsing of the procedure it self is still done in each execution but for the statment inside it no and in session1 parsing for the insert is done for every execution. So does this proof my knowledge or it is wrong?
    I see that instead of parsing the insert in session1 there is parsing for the procedure in session2 is that correct?
    Thanks in advance

    Tomy3k_Bakr, you are doing the comparison wrong. Are you running these from sqlplus over and over again? Sqlplus parses every statement you send, this is not the correct way to compare.
    Try this instead.

    Table created.
    YAS@10G>r

  • How to write the code to insert into attendance table

    Hi,
    I have a report
    class lov (through which all the classes will be selected).
    once any class seleted from the list it will display all the students in the class
    my query in the report was
    SELECT FIRST_NAME || ' ' || SURNAME "Pupil_Name",
    er.pupil_number,
    APEX_ITEM.CHECKBOX(1,er.pupil_number) "tickthebox"
    FROM PEAS_PUPIL pu, PEAS_ENROLMENT_REGISTER er
    WHERE pu.pupil_number = er.pupil_number
    AND er.class_id = :P53_CLASS
    pupil number column hidden becuase its a pk.
    as pupil_name and checkbox (called tickthebox)
    now I HAVE written on submit process to insert records into attendance table see below
    for i in 1..apex_application.g_f01.count loop --- check is the selector checbox, pupil_number is the hidden column with the table's PK
    INSERT INTO PEAS_ATTENDANCE (ATTENDANCE_ID,PUPIL_NUMBER) VALUES
    attendance_seq.NEXTVAL,
    APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01(i)
    end loop;
    but this is only inserting checked records ...not inserting unchecked records.
    is there anyway i can insert both checked and unchecked records into tABLE.
    THANKS
    PRASAD

    What I mean is that if you want to use checkbox item you must compare its value to current row ID.
    You have two items containing pupil_number:
    - APEX_ITEM.CHECKBOX(1,er.pupil_number)
    - APEX_ITEM.HIDDEN(2,er.pupil_number)
    When you call first one like "FOR i in 1 .. apex_application.g_f01.COUNT", you will get only pupil_numbers of checked checkboxes.
    When you call second one like "FOR i in 1 .. apex_application.g_f02.COUNT", you will get pupil_numbers of all rows.
    You get "no data error" because you reffer in your process to variable apex_application.g_f01(i) for row i, that is not checked.
    That's why you should check in your process if current row is checked every time when you want to reffer to this checkbox. You can do it using this code:
    FOR i in 1 .. apex_application.g_f02.COUNT
    LOOP
    FOR j in 1 .. apex_application.g_f01.COUNT
    LOOP
    IF apex_application.g_f01(j) = apex_application.g_f02(i) THEN
          /Your process for checked records/
    END IF;
    END LOOP;
          /Your process for unchecked records/
    END LOOP;And I think you should modify your report query for:
    SELECT FIRST_NAME || ' ' || SURNAME "Pupil_Name",
    APEX_ITEM.HIDDEN(2,er.pupil_number)||APEX_ITEM.CHECKBOX(1,er.pupil_number) "tickthebox"
    FROM PEAS_PUPIL pu, PEAS_ENROLMENT_REGISTER er
    WHERE pu.pupil_number = er.pupil_number
    AND er.class_id = :P55_CLASSYou can find some interesting information about using checkbox in APEX help.

  • UDF JDBC -- want to insert into a database

    Hi experts,
    I need to insert into a DB using a UDF. I have written the UDF but the problem is it works fine for a select query and when i replace the query with insert, it fails.
    the JDBC CC says invalid SQL query.
    The 2 queries are :
    //insertQuery= "insert into TABLENAME (COLUMNNAME) values ('"VAR"')";
    //insertQuery= "select count(*) from TABLENAME";
    accessor = LookupService.getDataBaseAccessor(channel);
    resultSet = accessor.execute(insertQuery);
    Also if I execute the insert query in DB it works fine.
    Please advise.

    It is a very simple thing i am doing..........................
    i have a source structure in which the first field of the source is the input to the first field of the target.
    there is a UDF in between which inserts the first source field. the UDF has the channel specified which is  JDBC.
    I was just running it thru the display queue (in MM) at the  and checking the communication channel. It gets errored out......... saying invalid SQL statement. But for select query it works fine
