Advice - Photoshop Version

Hi,
I was just looking for some quick advice on how my company can best work with Photoshop.
We have few marketing cordinators that are constantly working with with photographers and graphics designers. Really all the need to do is have the ability to view photoshop files that come their way, maybe they could do a little bit of editing but 99% of the time they are just media cordinators and just need to review and archieve.
Is there another alternative besides the full version of Photoshop for these people?
Not so much from a cost saving standpoint but from a easy to use.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

"editing". Yes for sure. For their own needs. Not to actually edit the raw files.
i.e. to drop jpg into a blog, or if creating a newsletter or email campiagn. Often it helps for them to be able to do some quick crops or size reductions.
They can handle this is tools like MS PhotoEditor, but if they could do it in the same package and an enviroment they work in all the time, all the better.
Obviously this is a diffenent issue than working with Photoshop, but its all part of the process.

"Slightly corrupted" sounds very much akin to "slightly pregnant". Hard to imagine.
I assume you're referring to some sort of image quality deterioration or some added artifacts.
Could you post a screen shot? Just so that someone familiar with PDFs opened in CC can form an idea of the nature of the "corruption" and where the cause might lie.
If you post back, please give complete hardware and software details about your setup, including the exact version of CC so they can see if all updates have been applied.

After installation of latest Bridge and Photoshop version (2014.2.2) *.CR2 files will not be displayed correctly, neither in preview nor in Camera Raw dialog.

After installation of latest Bridge and Photoshop version (2014.2.2) *.CR2 files will not be displayed correctly anymore, neither in preview nor in Camera Raw dialogue.
Some pictures have white squares with blue and red diagonal stripes that cover almost the complete picture.
When opening those files I have the same problem in Camera Raw dailogue and even in Photoshop eventually.
I tried to open the same same pictures on another computer with the same version of Bridge and Photoshop but the problem remains the same.
It seems like the files itselves are still ok, because if you open an explorer window the previews of the pictures are all ok. And the pictures' sizes remain the same.
I tried to clear the cache in both programs but it didn't help.
Has anyone an idea????

First see if a reboot of your PC helps. If not,
Resets may be in order:
Photoshop: Press and hold Control - Shift - Alt immediately upon cold-starting Photoshop. If you get the keys down quickly enough - and you have to be VERY quick - it will prompt you to confirm deletion of your established preferences, which will lead to them all being set to defaults.
Bridge: Start Adobe Bridge and immediately press Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) until the Reset Settings dialog box appears. Select all three options--Reset Preferences, Reset Standard Workspaces, and Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache--and then click OK.
Outdated graphics drivers can also cause display problems. Go to your GPU maker's website and be sure you have the latest drivers for your card model.

When I have finished working on an image in Photoshop and I hit the save button it goes instead to the "save as" screen. This never happened in previous Photoshop versions. When I get to Lightroom, I have a grey screen the says "File could not be found."

When I select the correct image, I get a message that it is not the same file name but I am eventually able to access the image. Needless to say this is having a negative impact on workflow!

The problem with write permissions for the OneDrive folder only shows up in Lightroom 6's export dialogue, that's why it's to irritating. Lightroom 5.7.1 is not having that problem nor does the file explorer. The problem also exists on both of my machines. Because Photoshop is an Adobe product you should be asking on an Adobe product forum or calling Adobe for assistance. Also your profile isn't complete but it does indicate you own a Mac Pro, this is an Intel based iMac forum. If you do have a Mac Pro please re-consider posting there. To complete your profile please click Profile Update, by doing so this helps the volunteers know basics about your system such as which version of OS X is installed, the exact model you own, the amount of installed RAM etc.... Without that information diagnosing an issue is much more difficult.

Which photoshop version works with windows 8?

I have tried cs2 and it does not work. Does anyone know which is the most economical photoshop version works well with windows 8?

Photoshop Elements 12 for outright purchase.

How to install my present Photoshop version CS6 in my new Imac

very poor that there isnt help or customer care in DUTCH!
But how can i install my Photoshop version CS6 now on my old IMAC to a new to buy IMAC ???

No i have Photoshop CS6 already om my excisting IMAC.
I bought a new other IMAC and want my excisting PS program on that one too.
I have a disk with the programm on it ( official version) but that disk is in my other house in France .
Can i copy the excisting version from my old IMAC to my new IMAC?
Also i tried to call a helpdesk in the Netherlands ( i,m Dutch) but they dont have ppl speaking DUTCH!!
I got connected to an English speaking helpdesk than and they speak English so unclear and too fast for foreigners!!

GPU basic features stop working after updating from version 13.0 to Photoshop version 13.1

My Basic GPU features were working flawless with Photoshop version 13.0 After I update to version 13.1 for CC members all my GPU features stop working. Is there a form to set my Photosop version 13.1 in order to use my GPU features or there is a huge difference between versions that doesn't allow me to use the GPU features? Note: I Already update my graphics card driver

Coolorus won't install, error message about photoshop version 11-14 Help?

I bought Coolorus colour picker yesterday to use with Photoshop CS6 but the extension manager keeps saying "this extension cannot be installed, it requires photoshop version in range of inclusively 11 and 14." Is the colour picker not compatible with newer versions or can it be installed differently?
I'm running a Dell Inspiron 15r special edition with an i7 and 16gb ram. The version of photoshop is apparently 13 and the manager is 7.0.0.374

You have to use Extension Manager CS6 to install this extension for Photoshop CS6.

Chroma key use: Photoshop (version) or can Elements 13 be utilized? I do not want to purchase plugs-in etc.

This is a Photoshop user forum the is also a Photoshop Elements forum. IMO If you want to replace a background on a still image the chroma key color you should use is White or Gray. When the subject is complex like hair blowing in the wind you will always need to deal with chroma key spill. White can be eliminated with blending and gray will blend and have little effect in the color. White and gray backgrounds will not cause a color cast in you exposure..
You may get a better reply in the elements forum. User there are familiar with what tools Elements has. Photoshop may have some selection tools not available in elements.

I am "painting" funny Dogpictures and now i don't know which photoshop version is the best for me.
I also use Illustrator. Is Photoshop for Fotographs the right version for me?

You should avail yourself of the free 30 day trial to find out which version (Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, …) fits your needs.
You could also try Gimp which is freeware.

Camera RAW for Photoshop version 8.0 CS Middle Eastern Edition

Bump. This is just crazy..
I uninstalled Photoshop and removed my preferences and reinstalled but the Camera Raw in Photohop CC 2014.1.0 (20140730.r.148 x64) is still version 8.4.1.200.

I have to reinstall my version of photoshop version 7.0 but the CD is damaged.
Where can i download it. Allready looking for some time on the website but cant find a download section for this.

Adobe Photoshop Version 1.0 - DVD burning help

I am trying to burn the photos on my hard drive onto a DVD. I am following the directions in Help and it is not working. I am clicking on "backup", then "burn", ..., and the DVD drawer keeps popping open and is not doing anything. It keeps asking for me to put the disk in, and when I do it pops back out again. Help!

1/ Photoshop CS1
or
2/ Photoshop Version 11.0
or,
3/ maybe even the update 0.1 (Though this last seems most unlikely)
