Advice to enter in sap

Hi , I am currently working as an android developer in a company . Now i want to switch career to SAP consultant but i don't know if my android skills can be used in sap or i have to start my career as a fresher.

As per you experience you can go for Technical module like ABAP, BASIS
But if you are interested you can go for functional module.
There are a lots of module have in SAP functional.
You can choose one of them.

Cannot enter to SAP Entitlement System.

I cannot enter to SAP Entitlement System.
I installed BOBJ XI 3.1 SP2 and SAP Integration Kit XI 3.1 SP2 in Windows 2003 64bits
Now when I try to enter in CMC u2013 Authentication u2013 SAP, It does not open anything, and it did not allow me to see Entitlement System for SAP. When I try to open the other Authetications, they open inmediatly.
I have installed SAP JCo Release 2.1.8.
What can I do?

It was yesterday, I can not enter to SAP Authentication, this link did not work, the other links open the applications without problem. I did click and clikc with the mouse and this link do not open anything.
But now I have another problem, last night restarted all machine, and now I have this error, when I am trying to enter CMC
Error: Server solar:6400 not found or server may be down (FWM 01003) null
I have verified CCM and it is working. two days ago I solved this problem. I deleted #SQL_7C4_0.MYD file from C:\WINDOWS\Temp
Later CMC works very well, but now I did the same but it does not work.
The error in Event Viewer is
Node Name: solar]
[User Name: SYSTEM]
[Error null] Server Intelligence Agent has lost its connection to the CMS cluster but will continue to attempt to reconnect. Please verify that the CMSs in your cluster are running.

What is the earliest prior period that you would like to enter into SAP B1

Can anyone please explain the need of gathering the following information in a BBP for SAP B1 2007B?
"What is the earliest prior period that you would like to enter into SAP Business One to allow for Comparative Financial Statements?"

If you want to be able to create year over year reports, create budgets based on history, etc. you can't just start with opening balances for your GL accounts. You need to create past periods and load history amounts. That's all.
My clients typically want to be able to answer questions like 'How much higher (or lower) are sales this month than sales in the same month last year?' So for a client who 'went live' with SAP on January 1, 2009, I would create 12 periods for 2008 and enter their monthly balances for their GL accounts.

Are you using IDES of ECC6? if yes, you can use client 800. in this IDES model data are there.
is there any other user in the system.. if yes then create one user for yourself by them.
in ECC6 IDES, you can login with DDIC in 800 client with password 19920706

Need advice on Career in SAP after completing 9 yrs in IT mainly in Telecommunication Domain with BMC Remedy Tool knowledge.
Which Module of SAP I can learn and get into as I have Tool based knowledge in BMC Remedy and fair knowledge in SQL, as I come from non-IT background. What are career prospect after completing any SAP module now will my previous experience will be taken into account?

One of the reasons nobody has replied to you yet is that, this is a question with so little information provided.
- There is no mention of your education background.
- Your work background is very vague.What exactly did you do in Telecommunication Domain?
- What exactly did you do in BMC Remedy? Where you just an end-user or did you do any background support work?
- What exactly did you do in SQL? Did you work on it or did you just attend training?
- Why do you want to jump into SAP? And what precisely you want to jump into in SAP?
- What are your interests? Technical or Non-technical?
- What's your career objective? Where do you want to be 5 years from now?
Without providing these information how can anyone help you? Picking a module and going with it makes no sense. What if you spend an insane amount of time and money learning a module in SAP (based on some random suggestions given here) and realize that this is not what you were looking for, or there is little scope for that module in the market? What then?
It's your career that you are planning. It definitely deserves more thought-process and planning to go into.

I am not sure to understand what you mean with "sap service receipt"...
If it is "Confirm good receipt or service" in SRM, transaction are :
BBPCF02 to receive your own purchase order
BBPCF03 to receive all purchase order (central recipient)

Want to enter into SAP world

Dear All,
I am a Chemical Engineer with three years of work experience (1.5 year in Petrochemical Manufacturing & 1.5 year in Research & Development). I have done basic survey about SAP (Future Scope, Vertical growth, Challenging Assignments, Whopping Salary etc.) and interested to enter into the SAP world.
I would appreciate if you could guide me in the following:
1)How worth is this decision in view of long term career?
2)Does my profile match for it? which module? (I don't have any software background)
3)If yes, what is the best options out of following:
a) Job search w/o SAP exp.
b) Non-certification training from institute like Reliance Global Services in ~ 50k (affordable)+ preliminary job + good job
c) Certification from authorized institute (3.08 lakh of personal loan)+ Good Job (pay EMI)
d) Non-certification course in ~15 k (To get fundamental understanding+option c)

Its a good option to move in to SAP. Its hot right now and will remain so for some time. So no worries on that.
regarding on how to enter, that is completly on u to decide.
Going through ur work X, it would be good if u choose some functional area on which u have worked before. for eg inventory management, or Production planning etc......
And about certification n all, a certified proff is always preffered, but its not mandatory. If u can showcase ur SAP knowledge which ever way u get it, the company will hire u. And if u r good enough, the company itself sponsers u for certification later.
So i think go for a functional module in which u r comfortable with, get the knowledge and post ur resume.......!!!!!

Unable to send the data entered in sap portal

i am trying to configure and test Leave Request from portal. When, we create the leave request and submit for the first time, it is giving the error/message Unable to send the data entered However, if do a submit for the second time, the same leave request, it sends the leave request.
Please share your valuable thoughts or solutions.Thanks in advance.

Hi Rafi,
We are also facing similar kind of issue.
When i select type of leave as annual it is giving an error message as
" Parameter missing in call of method BUILD_ACTOR_SELECT_CLAUSE in class CA_PT_REQ_ACTOR "
But when i select some other leave type and click review it is working fine, again if i click on previous step and change the leave type to annual it is working fine without giving any error message.

SAP ABAP -- Is it the right choice for entering into SAP Technology

Just out of curiosity - why switch to SAP in the first place?
Yes, if you are good at programming, then yes ABAP is the way to go. But please remember that while searching for jobs you will still be considered a fresher - in ABAP. You JAVA background has very little - if not zero - significance when it comes to experience.
Of course you can go ahead and explore the ABAP world. You can download the trial version from the site and start pulling a few levers to see if you are comfortable.

What SAP module is more appropriate for my background?

HI,
I'm very interested to join a SAP course in India but i'm really not making any decision so far. which module is more suitable for me and my background.
I have done my Master in "computer science" and my undergrad in "Education in computer". I've asked some guys and some have advised me to go for Basis or BI. I'm telling you that I have no experience in SAP world but I'll take a step further to join the most appropriate course that meets my background.
my Questions are:
- Any requirements to study SAP Basis/BI module in an authorized institute?
- What do u suggest me to study?

BTW, I'd like to get some advices about my situation:
i'm interested to enter into SAP world but i duno which way is more appropriate for me:
1- join a course in a non-authorized institute in India for about 2 months (2 h/day) then join SIEMENS institute (8 h/day) which is authorized then do the exam to be a SAP certified consultant. [a long way, total of studying is 3 months, will cost a bit more]
2- join a course in SIEMENS institute then do the exam to be a SAP certified consultant. [short period .. just 1 month, intensive]
Things to bear in mind:
- no experience in SAP world.
- the aim of studying in a non-authorized institute is to enter into SAP world and make sure if the module is suitable for u or need to switch to another one. studying in a non-institute is a bit cheap.

"For the ISO code USD there is no unique SAP currency code for ALE"
I put the currency USD and Country is Bangladesh in BP.

Extracted text:
Before starting the Customizing replication, verify that entries for the ISO codes are unique in the following ECC tables:
     Language keys (T002 field LAISO)
     Currency codes (TCURC field ISOCD)
     Countries (T005 field INTCA).
Although SAP delivers these tables in a consistent state, duplicate ISO entries can occur because this is not a key field in those tables (especially if own entries have been set up with copy functions).
Procedure
1.     Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
Transaction code     SE16
SAP ECC menu     Tools  ABAP Workbench  Overview  Data Browser
2.     In the table name field enter T002.
3.     Choose Table Contents (Enter).
4.     Choose Execute (F8).
5.     Check the column LAISO for duplicate entries.
6.     Repeat these steps for the other tables.
If duplicate ISO codes are detected, they have to be replaced by new ISO codes. The final result has to be that all tables mentioned hold unique ISO code entries. Multiple entries with empty ISO codes are possible.
Duplicate entries cannot be deleted directly in transaction SE16. If you want to delete database records please get advice from experienced consultants or enter an SAP message.

Hi,
It accepts WSDL files, but only using basic authentification. I had the same problem. Probably you have NTLM authentification. Check note 1441809 - Logon fails when using IIS and NTLM authentication

Password reset function--Need to send the sap userid+NT email address

Hi experts,
We would like to implement the password reset function in one of our systems. we have the existing code, which accepts sap-user id , resets the password and sends email to the user. Now the loophole is anyone can reset the password of others if he/she knows the sapuserid.
1. Is there any solution for this.
2. Can we pass the (sapid+NT email address) to the SAP system, when we enter sap id and press submit in the UI.

Pick & Pack in SAP 8.8 PL 12

Dear All,
I have a scenario where I book a sales order against a particular warehouse. But I am never sure whether I will have inventory in that warehouse or some other warehouse at the time of delivery since it a liquid cargo and the tank warehouse may change at the time of delivery.
I am in SAP 8.8 PL 12. The issue is I am not able to release item to a pick list when my warehouse changes and I do not have any inventory in the warehouse in which I had booked an order. I cannot change the warehouse in Sales order also as it is generated through Approval procedure. But the SAP documentation (Whats New in 8.8) suggests otherwise "The SAP Business One pick and pack process now enables you to enforce or override credit and commitment levels on pick lists for specific business partners. Additionally, the Pick and Pack Manager now allows you to release items to a pick list even when there is no available quantity to release, such as when merchandize exists but has not yet been entered into SAP Business One.". I also have the option of release without warning selected in the documents settings.
Kindly advise how to proceed.

I tested a demo in 8.8 using the approval procedure and I confirm that it is not possible to change the warehouse.
However, the documentation you mentioned beneath refers to Pick and Pack, not to the approval procedure.
The document says:
The SAP Business One pick and pack process now enables you to enforce or override credit and commitment levels on pick lists for specific business partners. Additionally, the Pick and Pack Manager now allows you to release items to a pick list even when there is no available quantity to release, such as when merchandize exists but has not yet been entered into SAP Business One
refers to overriding credit and commitment levels and allowing to continue to the pick list even if there is no quantity in stock according to the information in the Inventory tab of the Item master data. However, it does not mention the change of warehouse.
