Advise on using LSMW tool

Hello All,
I need to update recepient details (email address) in SPRO, below is the link to do this.
SPRO->Production-->Material Requirement Planning
>Master Data--->Define MRP Controllers.
I need to update around 3000 entries so i have decided to go for using LSMW.
Could somebody tell me if this is the right way to to do this task, or is there any other better way to do this? can we use LSMW so config updations.

I think in CS5, it was called "Live-Trace." Whatever it's called, it should become available on the options panel (the context-sensitive control panel at the top) when you select a trace-eligible raster image on your artboard.

Is LSMW tool only used to update master data??

Is LSMW tool only used to update master data??i.e for updating material master,customer master etc.,
or it can be used to updated configuration tables also.i.e when we do configuration a CTS is to be created.then how the CTS generation is handled.

Hi
LSMW is used to transfer Legacy data from one system to another system.
Obvioulsy Configuration objects should be transported through CTS only and not with LSMW .

Changing files to use in LSMW tool

Hi,
I am trying to use LSMW to do Batch Input Processing. I am trying to use the same project, but my text file has changed. However, when I clicked to display the input file and converted file, I still saw the old data. How can I refresh or use another file? I tried changing the file but it is still the same. Did I miss something?

Convert Production Order using LSMW

Hi, we want to create Production Orders from a legacy system, and are exploring using LSMW. Has this been done before?
If we choose Batch Input Recording, handling different number of operations/components will be a problem. If we chooseStandard Batch/Direct Input there is no Object called Production Order. If we choose IDOC, it seems there are limitations on the use of message type LO1PRO. BAPI BAPI_PRODORD_CREATE cannot be used because ALE message type does not exist..
Please advise whether this is possible using LSMW....thanks!!!!!

yes we have no problem coming up with a flat text file containing all the data. My question is:
since Production Order has both header and operation line items and component line items,
is this handled in LSMW? Because I do not see an object in LSMW called Production Order that
seems usable...
Of course we're looking at standard tools like LSMW first, before considering ABAP programs..

Using Text Tool Freezes Photoshop CC 2014.2 x64 release

I have just updated Photoshop CC to 2014.2.0 -- 20140926.r.236 x64 release. Now I am experiencing an issue when I use the text tool to just type a few words on a new document or layer. The application seems to freeze up as soon as I start typing? I wait several minutes with nothing happening and have to resort to using the Windows task manger to kill the photoshop processes. This did not happen before I updated to this release?? Please advise how to fix this if possible to [email protected].

Enter G/L account error while uploading open contracts using lsmw

Hi Experts,
I have a flat file for Open Contracts.While trying to upload using LSMW -BAPI method(BUS2014), it is throwing error as 'Enter G/L account' though G/L is present in the flat file.I have done with the mapping in the 5th step.
Checked all the configuration settings of G/L.everything is fine. Not getting where is it going wrong.

I need your help to able to use LSMW on CRM for bulk master data creation. Below is described my detailed requirement; -
We have CRM 2007 integrated with SAP ISU (ECC6.0). As per business process all Business Master Data (BP details, Business Agreement details etc) and Technical Master Data (Connection Object, PoD etc.) is created in CRM and then it is replicated in ISU. We are going to start Assembly Test soon. Now we need to have all master data in place. Tool we want to use is LSMW.
Now can you help me right from scratch on how to use LSMW for bulk master data creation in CRM?
Please give me documents / links etc that is relevant.

I have looked into your query.
These are some information which might be useful to you.
What is LSMW?
Legacy System Migration Workbench or LSMW is SAP standard program that can be used to easily load / change master data or transactions in SAP without any programming at all. It can be used to upload data at cutover, such as: open orders, contracts, materials, vendors, stock on hand. It can also be used in a production system to make changes to existing data. Very limited authorization checks are available on the transaction, so the use of it must be very well controlled.
One input file can be used to create all the views of the material master. For all the material types. Even if different views and fields are used for the different materials.
Steps to take
1. Create text file with data to be loaded
2. Set up and run LSMW

How to use LSMW to upload database table directly from flat file extract

I am new to LSMW tool. I have searched the fourm before posting this thread for my issue but i didn't find any good posts for the same.
my requirement is : I will have a flat ( tab -delimited ) or Excel file with number of records downloaded using the databrowser for some of standard tables from one SAP systesm . I wanted to upload the records using the LSMW to the same tables in some other SAP systesm . Please help me to How to upload the same using the LSMW.

Hi Praveen,
There is a risk trying to migrate data directly into standard tables because this can generate database inconsistences or wrong inserted data according to what is customized in the target system. I do not recommend migrate like this.
With LSMW you use objects like direct input programs, idocs, bapis and recorded batch input. Try to create a project and use an standard object for your data. Also, check in SXDA transaction (Goto-->DX programs) if there is a standard program for your data.

If you are using LSMW to upload inventory, you need to understand that there must be an inventory tcode that must first be chekced to ensure all the fields are well captured. For example, if you are uploading Vendor Master record, you need check FK01 with the data given to you by the functional team and advise them if the data does not conform with what you have in the transaction fields.
Most times, the functional team are so oblivious of what exact data should be supplied. Please do not hesitate to ask questions. If you need further help on how to upload using LSWM, do not hesitate to let me know

To use this tool you must first connect to server.

Hi all:
I am new to Oracle. After installing Oracle 10g I tried to run it but I had Directory Server Connection window popup. It said "To use this tool you must first connect to server. Click on the OK button to select a server". I did not see any server I could choose. And also during installation I had warning or error message but I chose to continue installing.
Please help me to get this fix....
