AE 12.2.1 update isn't applied. Version still shows 12.2. The download runs about 1/2 way before it zips to finish...
Anyone else having issue applying the 12.2.1 update to Ae? It just doesn't want to install. Even though at the 1/2 way point, installer zips through and says complete. Not even close.

after applying the 7.04 update some days ago the update manager is now presenting me witht the option of updating to 7.03.
A manual install of the downloadable update didn't help either.
I'm a bit uncertain if that might interfere with future updates...

The Adobe auto updater is pretty decent in CS6. Just go to the Photoshop Help menu > Updates.
You will be able to update ACR, Photoshop and Bridge right there, if there are in fact updates available. -

Make sure your apps are updated. You might try Settings > iTunes & App Store > Automatic Downloads - Updates = "On".

No, if you have that picture it means the update went wrong and you need to restore via iTunes.

I try to update the software of an Iphone or Ipad with the Itunes of the MacBook Pro. It downloads the software but at the end always the comment shows up that the download failed and i should try again. Any ideas, I already updated the iTunes software.

OS X Server 2.2.5 update still showing up in the MAS
A couple of weeks ago I updated a system with OS X 10.8.5 and OS X Server 2.2.2 to OS X Server 2.2.5.
I had no problems or errors and it seems to me that the install log didn't report anything wrong:

However, yesterday I noticed that the OS X Server 2.2.5 update is still showing up in the MAS.
I'm almost sure that it wasn't there right after the OS X Server 2.2.5 update but I cannot say when it started showing up again.
I've already verified that I don't have outdated copies of Server app on attached volumes and I've also inserted all the local volumes except for the startup one in the Spotlight exclusion list.
Is anyone experiencing the same issue or know what the problem could be?I had a copy of the older Server on a backup drive, where I keep the system installers and Server installers just in case.
I zipped Server on the backup and removed the original and immediately the update went away.
So because spotlight indexes all the drives it was finding the old version on my external RAID and thinking it needed updating -

Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Then go to Settings>WiFi - find your network again - enter the password and see if you can get online.
Or reboot your router - unplug it for 30 seconds and then plug it in again.
Or go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You will have to find the network and enter the password again. -

Hm... Strange.
I had reset the iPhone.
I tried disabling the auto-launch of iPhoto, and...
...when I plugged iPhone in, it started to freeze iTunes, but after a minute or so, the iPhone started synching. I found this odd because I had disabled auto-sync (I press Sync in iTunes when I want to have it Sync).
Now, of course, I do want auto-launch of iPhoto back on, since I like it for when I attach my digital cameras. I hope that when I set it back, it won't re-introduce the problem.
The restart I did may have helped. I resist restarting because my wife's account is often open and she frequently leaves unsaved files up, so it is a pain to respectfully close out her work and then restart. -
Why isn't safari 6.04 showing up in the update section of the mac app store?
i am running the latest Mac OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.3.
I ran Software Update and and update under the Mac App Store but there
is no Safari 6.04 but only an update for iPhoto. And there is not Java update
from Apple either.
What gives?

I switched from a my standard account to an administrative account and checked for updates and then they showed up in the App Store. I didn't update yet though. I switched back to my standard account and checked for updates again to see what would happen and there they were so I was able to complete the updates from my standard account.
In my case I also just upgraded from Lion to Miuntain Lion this past weekend. I just did an upgrade in-place over top of Lion, usually I do clean installs with major upgrades. When I switched to the Administrative account, this was the first time since the upgrade, there was a dialogue box on screen asking me if I wanted to log in to my Apple ID. I just clicked continue in this case to continue to my administrative account with out logging in. -
Can someone help please. Since I updated my iPad to version 7.0.4 the screen opens in landscape but as soon as a select an activity it rotates to portrait and will no longer turn as I move the iPad. It is frustrating as I like to work in landscape. Any suggestions?
I do not know if this will work or not, but when my iphone (currently not behind bars if you know what i mean) goes into a recovery loop I use this trick.
first try to get your iphone onto to apple boot logo. you can do this by holding the power and home buttons at the same time. if you can do that you're in good shape, possibly.
Next try to power down the phone. since you can't do the "slide to power down" method you'll need to hold both buttons again. this may cause the phone to power down the up again, keep holding until completely powered down.
Once powered down press the power button and up volume button at the same time and hold them both until the apple logo comes up.
once the apple logo comes up then release the power button and continue to hold the volume button.
Your phone should boot up normally then be sure to go to itunes and backup.
I do not know for sure if that works on any iphone or just my iphone and the state it is in. but it sure is worth a shot.

After software update, all of my programs keep crashing
