AE 5.2: Roles get provisioned to backend system but profiles randomly not

Hi,
we are currently switching from profiles to roles and therefore created user request containing the roles to be assigned and the profiles to be removed. The roles are assigned successfully to the user but the some profiles are not removed randomly. The backend user used by AE has the correct authorizations.
Had anybody such a problem before?

Hi Hersh,
we did a user role comparison several times before and users had the profiles already for a period of time. Also the request get submitted radomly meaning we can't monitor all the requests because the last approvers approve the request sometime and the the request gets provisioned. Further, AE should provide any message in such a case.
Could it be if the user to be changed is logged on to the system that such a scenario could happen.But when changing user authorization in the backend system itself this doesn't have any impact and this also applies for the GRC backend user.

The Early 2006 model 1,1 Core Duo can only run a maximum of 10.6 Snow Leopard. The models Late 2006 Core 2 Duos 2,1 through Early 2008 4,1 can only run a maximum of 10.7 Lion. The Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody through the Mid 2010 White Unibody model 7,1 can run 10.8 Mountain Lion.
To see which model you have go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up check the Model Identifier and post it back here.
The Snow Leopard 10.6 DVD should still be available from Apple for $20. You will have to call Apple Customer Care 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775 to purchase it. It may still be in the Legacy Products list.
If they no longer have any in stock you will have to buy it from eBay or Apple resellers that still have stock. But you will have to pay a premium since the DVDs are no longer being made. Snow Leopard DVDs are already up to $100 on Amazon.

Once you are at 10.6.8 Lion is still available from Apple. You will have to call Apple Customer Care 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775. to purchase it. Then within 3 days you will get an email with a code which you can use to download Lion from the App Store. The price is still $29. You must have at least a model 2,1 MacBook.
Lion will require at least 2gb of RAM but really needs 4gb to run smoothly.

Also Lion doesn't run any Power PC programs. To see if you have any Power PC programs go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up select Applications under Software. Then look under Kind to see if any of your applications are listed as Power PC. Universal and Intel will run under Lion.
Before Mac switched to Intel processors in 2006 they used Power PC processors from 1994 to 2005. Power PC 601 through 604, G3, G4 and G5. Applications written for the Power PC processors need the application called Rosetta to run on Intel processors. This was part of the Operating System in 10.4 and 10.5 but was an optional install in 10.6. With 10.7 Lion Apple dropped all support for Power PC applications.

Roles/Privileges provisioning to unrelated systems

Hello IDM Gurus,
I set up an IDC config and connected it to 3 SAP target systems, say A, B and C. Each of the repositories/target systems have linked up to default provisioning/deprovisioning/modify tasks from the SAP provisioning framework. I have imported privileges from each of these systems; I have contained a basic user privilege from each target system within its own simple role through the role members section of each privilege. Provisioning the role related to a specific system should ideally provision to only the related system; instead I'm encountering the weird error of provisioning Role A (containing privilege A) to a user but instead of just provisioning to system A, the user gets provisioned to systems A, B and C. This made absolutely no sense to me, so I went through and checked to see if there were any rogue links between the other privileges and roles, but there were none. I tried to simplify things and tried provisioning just the privilege directly to the user and it did the same thing; provisioning privilege A to a user ends up automatically provisioning the user to system A, B and C.
Are the repositories messed up? Should they be created from scratch?
I'm stumped; any ideas/suggestions?

I checked the privileges as well as the initial load jobs and the privileges are set to Inherited/None for Provision and Deprovision and already set to None for the Modify task; this is happening as you suggested through our initial load jobs which set the Modify Task to -1. Unfortunately, adding a privilege still seems to be triggering the other systems' provisioning tasks as well; add the privilege for system A and the "Group System Provisioning" task kicks off and fires all 3 systems provisioning tasks.
Is there any other property on the privileges or repository that I should be checking or fixing in order to prevent this behavior? Or is there anything else that I haven't thought of checking that could be causing this behavior?
I would really appreciate any ideas/suggestions.

I have a macbook and I just upgraded to Lion, downloaded the new software for Itunes and added a gmail account in addition to my existing aol account. Altho both mail systems are visible in my mail account I'm no longer receiving emails from either account. I checked the mail doctor and both accounts are connected to the server, but I can't figure out why I'm not receiving emails any longer. I'm trying to clean-up my stuff before I add my new Iphone, but I must admit all of this is rather daunting. Also does anyone know when tech support is available? it must be PST cause no one is there at 8AM EST!

It isn't the fw in Network you want o use or look at, that's for something completely different.
My first suspect is the Power Adapter on the LaCie has gone.
At the Apple Icon at top left>About this Mac, then click on More Info, then click on Hardware>Firewire, what is listed there?
Reset the Firewire bus
If your Firewire or USB isn't recognizing any device. A solution which has worked for some whose hard drive became invisible in 10.4 was simply to follow these four steps to reset the Firewire/USB bus:
1. Shut the machine down.
2. UNPLUG the power lead to the computer and any firewire/USB drive or devices.
3. leave it for 10 minutes.
4. Connect back up and reboot.

Replication of few Plants(Locations) from SAP R/3 Backend system

Hi All,
Some of the plants which has been created in SAP R/3 Backend System but they are not visible in Enterprise Buyers Portal Production System.
In order to get the missing plants replicated to EBP System shall I run the program
BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_FROM_SYSTEM or any other program i have to run,please advise.

In order to replicate the selected plants from R/3 to EBP. Run the report (SA38)
BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_SELECTED in SRM
In order to replicate all the plants then ru the report BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL.

Goods Receipt not transferred to the Backend System R/3

We are currently using BBPCRM4.0 & SAP R/3 4.7 (extended scenario)
For a particular Purchase Order which has a material number, We cannot transfer GR to the Backend System R/3 successfully.(The shopping cart of unsuccessfully transferred GR is created by using material)
When I check R/3 using WE05, I can find the message "The plant data of the material G09002202 is locked by the user MRP_RFC". This must be the reason why GR is not transferred successfully to the Backend System, but I do not know what this message mean.(As you see, MRP_RFC is the user name that connects SRM and R/3. + That moment the material is not locked by any user in R/3)
If we try to create the GR document again in SRM, the message "Item is already being processed" is shown, so cannot make BUS2203 Docs.
To sort out this, we remove the GR Transfer Error Information in
BBP_DOCUMENT_TAB.
After removing the information of this error in BBP_DOCUMENT_TAB, surprisingly we can make GR successfully.
Weird!.
Only for a particular PO which has a material, but not everytime.
Sometimes this problem happens.
At the first time, it doesn't work, but after removing the data from BBP_DOCUMENT_TAB, when we try GR again it works.
Could you help me why this symptom happends..?

Hi Hyangsook Moon,
The system is allowing you to create Confirmation again in SRM because the status is not yet updated in SRM since the G.R is not created in the backend successfully.
Since the confirmation is created in SRM and could not able to create G.R in R/3 through IDOC the system is giving you message as " Document is being processed".
So the system is allowing you to create confirmation again once you delete the table entry.

Password not sent from EP to backend System in Replication

I am trying to replicate user data from Enterprise portal to R/3 system. And i was successful in doing so but the problem is when i create a user in EP then the same user is created in the backend system but password is not being set. The backend System says PasswordDeactivated.
Can anyone tell me how to solve this.

Kindly check if your partner profile is active. (Indicated by 'A')
Sometimes if your partner profile is not active, you wont be able to distribute your model. Check the 'A' indicator

Could not connect to backend system through portal via Web Dispatcher

Web dispatcher redirecting problem
Dear Experts,
I have implemented a scenario which comprised of customizing that is developed in Portal EP7. What customizing does is getting report from backend system (ERP 6.0)
According to the needs for reaching the portal from internet I configured the SAP Web Dispatcher in the environment as you may see its contents below.
The problem is when I run the customizing in portal system then it requires connecting to backend system (ECC 6.0) to get the data (report). But from this point on web browser comes to a blank page, could not view the data that is from backend system via portal. Because in the time when it tries to retrieve data in backend system, on the left bottom of the explorer the indicator shows internet address that system uses connecting to the backend system as local network address of the backend system which is not known in internet therefore I get blank page.
The question is how to configure the web dispatcher in a way that both portal and backend systems could be reachable from internet?

Hi,
To resovle this you must have registered FQDN for your backend system as well. When you call the report from Portal using internet it should call that FQDN of your backend system then DNS will resolve this & you will get the expected page. This way only you can resolve this issue.

SAP Backend systems and SAP OPI Integration

Dear Experts
I have been reading many articles and blogs on Operational Process Intelligence but have couple of doubts regarding capturing events
from different backend systems
1. There is a Business workflow in ERP which we needs to be imported in SAP OPI. In one of the guides its mentioned that
"The ERP system needs to have the software component
SAP_BS_FND satisfying the below mentioned support package levels for various releases. ● 731: support package level 5 ● 730: support package level 4 ● 702: support package level 10 ● 701: support package level 12".
If a customer is not on SAP Business Suite and its only ERP installation then does this mean that we cannot import Business workflows in SAP OPI?
2. In lot of blogs its mentioned to use Process Observer in backend systems but what if client has not activated or using Process Observer in their landscape. What would be our options here to capture events ?
3. In SRM system we typically use Process Controlled workflows. Can these be imported directly in SAP OPI business scenario. Again assume there is no Process Observer here. Has anybody tried this?
Would be really great if I get clarity on these items

Do you need to connect SAP R/3 users to ADS?
for that just follow SPRO setting of LDAP and customize your SAP system to access LDAP.
If you need to define HPUX users using ADS, It will require you the define login stack for HPUX.
