AE CC 2014 no sound

Hello there,
I have the following issue: I have edited my project with Premiere Pro CC 2014 and imported the sequence to After Effects.
In this Premiere project I have edited music, too. When I import my file to After Effects, it shows me no waveform.
Basically I don't have any sound on my After Effects...
I have tried to hear something with the RAM-preview. My sound is definetely on.
Even my source window is telling me that there should be sound.
As I said in Premiere is everything allright with it.
But I have to export the film with my animation and I can not do it without sound.
Any ideas? (btw it's in german)
Greetings

Danke

  • Mac Mini(Late 2014) - Tick Sound

Hello Apple User's. I just purchased a new Mac Mini late 2014 a month back. I had no problems initially after setting up my mac for the first time. I'm Currently working with Apple as a Technical Support Advisor in level 1. I was doing R&D on my mac and happened to corrupt the OS. Hence did IR and Re-installed the OS.I hear these tick noises only after re-installing OS. Hence I'm pretty sure the OS build which I got by default with mac was the best compatible OS. Now after doing IR I have 10.10.1 with a different build. I'm 100% sure it has to do with the build of my OS. Anyways I'm trying to find a solution for the same. Hence I would suggest all the Apple fans to keep an eye on this section.

Well I'm sorry for the late reply. But I'm back with a Solution for the "Tick Sounds" on the Mac's. After researching carefully, I happened to learn that , the Tick noise in SSD HD is because of the Head Parking of the pointer on the HD. Hence in order to get rid of the Tick sound, I would suggest all , to turn off/Disable the option "Put hard disk to sleep whenever possible" in Energy Saver section of System Preferences. Thus when the system is idling or in use (awake), you don't get to hear the Tick Sound's. Well after careful observation for almost a month now, I hardly get to hear the Tick Sound once in a day or so.
In Energy Saver "Put HD to sleep whenever possible" is more useful to portables like, MacBook Pro or MacBook Air , since it will consume less battery, and thus enhance the battery life but not for machines like iMac/Mac Mini.
Also some people have installed some 3rd party utilities like Hard Disk Advanced Power Management (HDAPM) to minimise the head parking or reduce the Tick Sound. I would personally not suggest to go for it, since it will change the default behaviour of the HD set by the manufacturer and may corrupt the HD and it may eventually fail. But if you would really like to give it a try, go for HD SPY utility in Mac Appstore , since Apple would have released the utility after taking due consideration in the Appstore.
And for tbirdvet, thank's for the response. I will have to read more about the mechanism on how the Fusion Drive work's and then take a call on it.
Nevertheless I would appreciate if anyone comes out with a different solution for the Tick Sounds from the HD.

  • Exporting with Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014 loses sound.

So... I've been having a hell of a time with the new Adobe creative cloud when it comes to video editing.  The drop of .flv format, unable to straight export .H24 formats from after effects, it's a total nightmare.  Here's the issue, to export as a .H24, you now have to use Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014.  The biggest issue, however, is at the end of the export, when you open the video, half of the video's sound is mysteriously GONE.  Just gone.  If you go back to after effects, look at the file and the audio, the wave forms are there.  There's nothing that would make it lose sound.  Audio is selected on export... I have no idea what's up.  Editing videos for youtube was a snap in previous versions of After Effects, now It's becoming almost impossible.

    I think the same problem:
Part of audio missing in mp4 AAC rendered files from Watched Folders
Probably with cached files. Try this: Adobe Media Encoder 2014.2 Part of audio missing in mp4 AAC rendered files - cache problem? - Video Production Stack Exc…

  • Sound not working if memory above 4 GB in win 7 64b with Creative SB X-Fi?

I have a HP Pavilion D4760.SE PC with Creative Labs SoundBlaster X-Fi .  I have Logitec X530/5.1 speakers connected.
To increase performance I added 4 Gb memory (up to 6 Gb) and reinstalled from 32 b win 7 to 64 b win 7. Everything has gone OK except for the sound.
I installed Creative SB driver 6.0.1.1375 from 2010-05-05. I have sound but it is heavily distorted. I also tried driver 6.0.230.4 from 2014-02-28 but with no sound at all.
I reduced the memory at start-up to 3990 (anything less than 1024 * 4) as a hint from a Microsoft support page and with that the sound is OK.
But I would like to use all memory so my questions is:
    1. Is there any driver available to get SB to work with full memory?
    2. Is SB X-FI not compatible with memory above 4 GB? Which sound card shall I then upgrade to (working with main memory of 6-8 GB)? I only use the speakers for Music (spotify & iTunes) and some video and TV, no games.

Windows Upgrade Advisor says Creative X-Fi is compatible with Windows 7 64b.
I have tried the Vista 64 b driver from HP from 2007 but the installation is not fullfilled (Computer does not have the requirements for this with error code 9998). Installation is terminated.
I have placed a mp3 music file on desktop and started it with Windows media Player and iTunes. If I use RAM below 4 GB it is working fine, if I use RAM over 4 GB sound is heavily scrambled/distored. If I use a later driver from 2014 no sound at all.
I include my latest conversation with Creative Support. If no solution is to find do you think the newer sound card they propose will work?
    Creative:
Based on the information you provided, the Sound Card that you have is an OEM product which means that support is handled by the PC manufacturer. Kindly check there support page if there is any driver available for the card.
You may want to try the latest driver that we have for the retail version. This is unsupported.
    http://files.creative.com/manualdn/Drivers/AVP/13079/0x4967B6B7/SBXF_PCDRV_L11_2_30_0004.exe
    My reply:
HP does not have any driver to support.
The 2_30_004 driver you gave a link to is not working with X Fi. I tried
once more. And if I run a Creative Auto Update the recommendation is to
use it but in the comment it is written that it should not be used for X
Fi. The result is the same, no sound, and if I use Spotify I even get a
message that the sound card is not working.
My conclusion is that my sound card is not compatible with windows 7 64
b with memory above 4 GB.
Have you any proposals what I shall change to?
    Creative reply:
You may want to check the Sound Blaster Z to replace your current sound card.

  • Since ios 7.1 on iPhone 5, I have major bluetooth interference noise.

My one year old Klipsh Image One Wireless headphones skip constantly when listening to music. The hands free phone function in my 2014 vehicle sounds like machine gun fire or pop corn while I'm trying to talk on the phone.  I was not having these problems prior to recent upgrade.
From what I've seen online, you can't back track from 7.1 and I haven't seen the issue addressed by Apple directly.
Is going back to factory settings the only option?  (I'm assuming that would work but haven't seen that suggested on the web.)  Is there a fix in sight?  I'd like to think they care but I'm skeptical.

I think you should contact the third party device manufacturer.

    Hi guys,
My macbook air 2014, running on yosemite has been having sound fluctuations in particular during video playback. Both on quicktime and VLC. Fluctuations happen even when I have my headsets plugged in.
    Anyone able to assist?

Perhaps a PRAM reset will work:

sound is asynchronous. The project works normal with no audio probs
on the windows PC but on my Mac Pro I have lots of audio probs...

Does somebody have an idea what the problem could be?

I started this project last week and went an entire day without a crash.  Since then the only major change to the computer was installing Quick Books 2015.
Sometimes when I reopen PPRo after the crash, I get an error message that says Mercury GPU hardware not found, opening in software only mode, but that is maybe one time out of five.
    Any thoughts?
You may want to update your GPU drivers.
Quick Books is less suspect, but you might try uninstalling it temporarily if updating GPU drivers does not help.

  • Just upgraded my 2014 iMac to yosemite. Now my Bose sound link won't work. The bluetooth is connected and it beeps as normal, just no sound comes from the speaker. This is very frustrating (along with the now flat rather than 3D icons on the desktop)

I have just upgraded my 2014 iMac to YOSEMITE. Now my Bose Soundlink bluetooth speaker connects, beeps as normal, but produces no sound from the Bose speaker whatsoever. HELP PLEASE

I have now recently downloaded 10.0.2 which is confusing in itself, as, as far as I can ascertain that is actually version 11, but I'm not even sure about that.
Version 10.0.2 is the newest version and the successor to GarageBand '11 (version 6.0.5).
The '11 is referring to the iLife '11 suit of multimedia application - the older GarageBand was a part of this bundle.
Have a look at Edgar's graphical enhanced manuals, the explain very detailed how things work and why. You can buy them as iBooks from the iBook store or directly from the page:

  • Adobe after fx cc 2014 sound and playback issue

When I rendered my first scene in adobe after fx cc 2014 I noticed I had no sound, and the video was playing frame by frame not full speed.
    What did I do wrong?
    Big D.

You probably used the default Lossless preset in the Output Module. You should probably type rendering in the search help field at the top right corner of AE and study up on the options.

  • Mac mini 2014 won't do 5.1 surround sound from HDMI port

I can't seem to get my Mac mini 2014 to do 5.1 surround sound from the built-in HDMI port to my home theatre system. When I run the Audio MIDI Setup program the only option is 2ch-24bit (stereo). Now I didn't have this issue when I tested it with a Mac mini 2012 running 10.9.5. It allow me to select 6ch-24bit (5.1) and Encoded Digital Audio. I also don't have an issue with the Mac mini 2014 if I use a Belkin Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter connected to one of the Thunderbolt 2 ports. It does 5.1 surround sound just fine. So is there something wrong with the built-in HDMI port on the Mac mini 2014 or OS X 10.10?

  • MacBook Pro mid-2014 Intermittent issue with sound

This occurs in an intermittent fashion : I cannot adjust volume neither with the slider at the top of the screen, nor with the volume buttons of my keyboard. In fact, there is no way I can adjust the sound. I get this image (bottom) when I try to adjust the sound using the keyboard and the slider in the top menu is maxed and greyed out.
    Context:
I bought this MacBook Pro last week, as a replacement for my mid-2009 MacBook Pro. I restored a Time Machine backup.
The new computer came with Yosemite and the old one had Mavericks installed last time I made a backup, therefore the new computer was downgraded to Mavericks when I did the restore. After the Time Machine restoration was completed on the new computer, I (re)installed Yosemite.
I just brought the computer to the Apple Store; the diagnosis tools were run and no hardware problems were found. As I said this is an intermittent problem, so sometimes I restart the machine and it works normally, other times the problem occurs. (1 out of 3 reboots, i'd say...)
What do you think ? Hardware problem ? Software issue due to Mavericks being restored on top of Yosemite ?
Any others have got the same issue ?
    Thanks folks,
    Emile

  • HT201541 Mac mini Late 2014 Boot Camp Windows 7 sound issue

    Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone can help me with my Mac mini (Late 2014) and Boot Camp (Windows 7). The problem I'm having is that there's no audio when I boot into Windows 7, though everything works fine under OS X. After installing Boot Camp and Windows, the audio worked perfectly up until yesterday, and now there's nothing. I've tried updating as well as uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, but this hasn't helped at all.
When I open Volume Mixer and Playback Devices, the sliders show that audio is playing, but I hear nothing - either from the built-in speaker or when I headphones.
The Device Status indicates that "This device is working properly" and that the drivers are up to date. Tthe following drivers are installed:
    dmk.sys
    HdAudio.sys
    ksthunk.sys
    portcls.sys
    SysFxUI.dll
    WMALFXGFXDSP.dll
Has anyone else encountered this issue, or does anyone have any tips on how I might fix this?

Is the volume Muted? The Mac has an Audio database of devices and volumes in NVRAM, so an SMC Reset or PRAM reset might help. Please see this link for appropriate keys Startup key combinations for Intel-based Macs - Apple Support.
