I have recently installed AE CC 2014.2 on
Windows 7 Service Pack1
Dell
inspiron 560
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU
Ram 6GB
64-Bit Operating System
Graphics Card: ASUS HD7750Series
It worked the first couple of times, now it only works when I change user, other wise I keep getting this error mesage
I have checked fire wall settings and I believe they are correct ( I use Mc Afee). I would like to set it up so my son can acess it as a user but unfortunately it is crashing on his side

I just dowload the AE trial version on a mac with maverick and The start up screen is freezing on "Initializing MediaCore".

i am working with maverick on a mac book pro ?

Dreamweaver 8 Crashes on Start-up

I posted this question several days ago but haven't received a solution.
My DW 8.0.2 crashes at start-up right about the time the DW start-up screen says "Initializing Data". I am running OSX 10.4.11. I have uninstalled the program but it doesn't do anything. I've deleted the preferences files, and I have no extensions for DW 8. So what am I to do? I hate to spend $100 on Coda. How do I contact Adobe? Can they help the little people? The suite was purchased a long time ago.

I'm not sure why you would be forced to spend $100 on Coda, but regardless, CS5.5 will be your last chance to upgrade your copy of Dreamweaver. When CS6 is announced your license will no longer be valid for upgrades and you will have to buy a new version. Unfortunately in your case you would need to upgrade to Leopard to run CS5.5 since it requires 10.5.8.

You can also try some OS related fixes such as repairing permissions on your system, or if you are using Filevault you can try disabling that because there were bugs with that in the older versions of OSX. You can try creating another user account on your Mac to make sure your current profile has not been corrupted somehow. That's all that comes to mind off the top of my head.

CC Premiere 2014 crashes on start

I would recommend uninstalling FXFactory as it has been the source of crashes for this release. See the Noise Industries site for any updates. Use their uninstaller. Plug-ins are located here on Mac: User/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/8.0/MediaCore/

It's easier just to relaunch with the Shift+Option keys held down until you see the splash screen.

It does not. You must have the exact same versions of these applications in order for dynamic link to function properly.

OK. However, crashing on launch can occur for a variety of reasons, including installing plug-ins that are not updated for the version. I am investigating other cases and seeing if there's anything we can do from our side to prevent this from happening. I do appreciate your concern.

Hello, bump for me on this really annoying issue. Running Windows 7 SP1, fully updated drivers. Using latest Itunes, 10.7.0.21. Just like the others, every time I try to open Itunes, the Itunes store seems like it's trying to load.. and then I inevitably get the "Itunes has stopped working.. Windows is checking.. blah blah" and then crash. I have tried every fix I could find on these and other forums:
1. Uninstalled/Reinstalled all Apple software as per http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925 along with running CC Cleaner (after uninstall/before reinstall of course). DIDN'T WORK.
2. Did the winsock reset listed here https://discussions.apple.com/message/17412059#17412059. DIDN'T WORK.
3. Corrupt User Profile (Kernalbase.dll) Issue: Did the renaming of corrupt Itunes folder listed here http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-HK/w7itprogeneral/thread/be53aac5- c560-478a-9598-e0c6a33d9da7 and that worked the FIRST time after renaming the folder to Itunes.old.. i.e. opening Itunes after doing this was successful and thus created a new Itunes folder. However, after closing itunes and reopening.. I was right back to square one.. Itunes crashing. (This did "work" partially so probable that issue has something to do with Corrupt Itunes User Profile??) Ultimately, DIDN'T WORK.
*BTW, I also did a Run Diagnostics from the help menu of Itunes and got 3 green lights for network connectivity.. one of which is of course "Secure link to Itunes store verified". So Itunes is telling me it seems to be communicating fine with Itunes Store.
There's nothing else that I can see to do short of reinstalling Windows... which I really don't want to do.
HOWEVER, after some trial and error, I found a weird little workaround. It seems like the crash is happening upon the initial attempt by Itunes to connect to the Itunes store. Here's what I did:
1. After opening Itunes (and the initial opening event is so that Itunes tries to connect to Itunes Store -- this will happen if the last page you were on the last time you closed Itunes was Itunes Store), QUICKLY click on "Music" (or any other "offline" library) on the left upper pane of Itunes. This will take you to your Music library and Itunes will STOP trying to connect automatically to Itunes store. So now, Itunes is open at least. Note: Others have mentioned correctly that if you open Itunes with your internet connection off, it will at least allow you to open Itunes b/c Itunes doesn't try to open Itunes Store if you're offline. My workaround accomplishes the same thing while still being connected to the internet.
2. Now, if you now click on "Itunes Store" directly, it WILL CRASH as per usual.
3. Instead, click on "Purchased" which is directly under "Itunes Store". Click ok to the pop-up. Then, on the bottom right of the screen, click on "Download Previous Purchases". This will open the previous purchases page which is actually WITHIN the Itunes store. If you look at the left pane, Itunes Store will now actually be highlighted. You're now in the Itunes store.. just via the "sidedoor" if you will. You will also now see all the usual Itunes Store categories along the top of this page like the Home Icon, music, movies, tv, apps, etc. etc. Click on the Home Icon (music, movies, whatever) and VOILA, it will open Itunes store without crashing!
4. Now that you're "in", you can jump around freely during THIS session. IE, you can freely go back and forth from looking at your left-pane offline music library, movies, apps, whatever.. and click on Itunes Store in the left pane and Itunes will not crash... you know, how Itunes normally works!
5. When you're done using Itunes just make sure the last screen you use before you close Itunes is "Music" or some such. That way, you won't have to do the "quickly hit Music" the next time you use Itunes. It will automatically just go to the offline Music library and not try to access the Itunes Store. Then, just repeat step 3 and you'll be "in" again.
I really hope this workaround works for you until Apple updates/patches Itunes for those of us that are having this issue. If it keeps working for me, I'm gonna live with it until the next Itunes version update hopefully resolves this issue.
OH! PS. I'm also having the Apple Software Update issue mentioned here https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4040994?start=60&tstart=0. I have no idea how to solve this.. wondering if it's related to the Itunes crashing issue. I'm also getting the error message when trying to update quicktime from the help menu here https://discussions.apple.com/message/19392457#19392457.

After Effects freezes, and "Initializing MediaCore" issue.

I've been looking around for hours to solve this problem but I can't fix it...
I have been using AE CS5 for almost a year without a problem but the other day it suddenly frooze and now every time I try to start CS5 it freezes when "initializing mediacore" in the splash frame. Sometimes after restarting the computer I am able to start CS5 but it then freezes after a coulpe of minutes and then I can't start it again...
I've read about the mediacore issue but I can't solve it, my firewall in deactivated...so there shouldn't be a problem with it stopping ae from communicating with QT?
Also I've tried installing an older CS3 version, it starts, but keeps freezing at the same place everytime I try to render my project...
Any that knows how to fix this?
Im using OSX version 10.6.8, 3.06 GHz i3, 4GB 1333MHz DDR3, the latest Quicktime

When I took a closer look at the QT files i realized I'd been in the wrong Library/Quicktime...
So how do I know which files to keep? Just trial and error until it works or do you know which files specifically should be there as default?

Flash CS3 crash at start up on Win XP SP2

i have terrible problem. Got my CS3 design premium few months
ago. I have started with no activation and used all the software
with no harm - also flash. I needed to reinstall the system anyway
(for other reasons). After system reinstallation Flash suddenly
stopped to start up. it crashes when the red welcome red screen is
beeing shown on 'initializing fonts' stage or right after it ...
then for a very short glimpse the main frame appears and all
dissapear leaving no errors in Win logs. I have been searched thru
internet to try find a solution. i have found those such as
uninstallling QuickTime and Flash Vid Encoder, checked the corrupt
fonts... i was installing and uninstalling the suite endlesslly...
nothing helped. of course i had my work deadline, so finally I
decided desperately to reinstall the system again and install all
the Suite software to clean system. So did I.
Suite has been installed, tried Flash and what made me very
happy, flash has started up with no harm... my happiness lasted
very short untill windows has downloaded and installed its updates.
After downloading Flash started to behave as before (crashing at
start up).
Adobe support seems not support anyone... i have called them
thousand times and they only could give me silly advices as install
and reinstall suite again. If anyone has the idea what is the
reason and knows the fix, I beg for help.. i will be very thankful
as my work is totally blocked now.

If a program crashes on startup - specifically when it is
trying to initialize fonts - then in
almost all cases it is a corrupt font. Remove all non-system
fonts and try to launch flash again.
If it starts up then you will need to reinstall each font,
start up flash to see if it is the one in
suspect.

Windows 8.1 unable to start after initial install

Hi,
I have been running Windows 8 on my PC (Asus P8H61I motherboard, Intel i3-2120, 8GB RAM) for nearly a year without any trouble. I upgraded to Windows 8.1N a few months ago.
Within last few weeks, the PC frequently freezes and crashes. System Restore initially worked however I decided to buy a new HDD and re-install Windows 8.1 N.
The install works fine initially however after Windows Update runs, it no longer is able to start up after restart. It gets as far as the blue Windows icon and then restarts again. My only options are repair options such as Safe Mode.
I have tried re-installing and turning off Windows Update however it will be fine after a few hours and then crash again. So far, using System Restore seems to work, suggesting that it could be a driver issue? Can you tell me what logging/crash
dumps i can enable in order to detect which device is causing the failure?

For event log, you can launch event viewer, then find error messages under Windows Logs\System, Windows Logs\Application, Applications and Services Logs\Hardware events or Microsoft\Windows.
For dumps, Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\System\Advanced System settings, under "Startup and Recovery", click "Settings", then check settings there, you can refer to detailed information in the following link

Initializing MediaCore CS6 Freeze

On starting After Effects CS6 on my MacBook Pro, it perpetually hangs at "Initializing MediaCore" and will not start up.
I've checked system updates for OS X and all the Adobe CS6 Apps (I'm using Creative Cloud), and all is up-to-date. Removed all my third-party plug ins, and uninstalled and re-installed After Effects--each time rebooting the machine. Nothing seems to fix the problem.
I've seen a few similar threads for CS5, but no suggestions seem to fix the problem.
Anyone else have this problem w/ AE CS6? Or (hopefully) found a solution?

I am having the same problem. Although I have uninstalled "Perian", which I didn't know I had. But when I spotlighted it, it came up in my "system preferences pane" with an uninstall button. SO I uninstalled it and tried to restart AE. But it still hangs at "Initalizing MediaCore". I did a permissions repair and restarted. But still it hangs at the same spot. This just started two days ago. I have not loaded any other plug-ips or add on's. I am using CS6 Production Suite. On a Mac Pro 2x3 GHz Dual Core Intel Xeon, with 16 GB 667 MHz DDR2 FB-Dimm. Running 10.7.5 Lion. And as luck would have it, I'm on a deadline. I saw the Media Encoder comment and wanted to go that route, but now I can't get back in. It's just hung at this part of the loading process.

Logic Pro keeps on crashing at start up

I upgraded from Panther 10.3.9 to Tiger 10.4.2 on my iBook G4 1,33 Ghz. Now, whenever I want to start Logic Pro it just crashes. It does this each time. I tried disconnecting all my other USB devices, except the XSkey but that didn't help. I removed all Logic components and reinstalled the whole program. Again no success.
Logic Pro did work under 10.3.9.
What else can I try to use Logic Pro again?

I have got a problem, while launching Logic Pro 7.1. It crashes at position "CoreAudio initializing"
I am sure, Logic crashes while initializing CoreAudio at startup because something is wrong with CoreAudio in Logic. I am sure, because I removed all Plugins, and, I started Logic with holding CTRL to ignore CoreAudio. Well this worked great. But after enabling CoreAudio (intern) in Audio Config in Logic, Logic crashes again, whilie trying to launch CoreAudio.
I am wondering, because few days ago, this worked great. I used the internal optical out of my Powermac G5.
Maybe this hint is useful: Standalone instruments like B4 from Native instruments work perfect, even I selected CoreAudio INTERN as Soundcard. So, only Logic got a Problem now with CoreAudio
Is there a possibility to reinstall CoreAudio? or refresh or reset it?

Cs5 freezes on initializing mediacore

after effects cs5 freezes on initializing mediacore...pleasehelp...i have through tons of stuff online on solvin the issue done all of them and nothing worked in my case. and i have been using cs5 for sometime on my pc...am using windows 7,64bit..and have xilisoft video conerter installed..if it might help...i usind the cs cleaner tool ....removed quicktime, quit qt32server...plus the opposite..i logged in with another account same issue......and i have installed and reinstalled appropriately like a dozen times.....please help......

Have you flushed the media cache? If not, try that. Also trash the prefs. Other than that I'm not sure what to advise, but perhaps your system event viewer may provide some details abouzt those crashes.

Initializing MediaCore Freezing

Whenever I opened up After Effects CS6, it would start up, but it would load and freeze when it said Initializing MediaCore. The problem persisted, so I downloaded After Effects CC. It worked fine for a few days, but soon it encountered the same problem. I have a project for school on there that is due tomorrow, but I can't finish it because After Effects hasn't been working. Please Help. Thank you in advance

Hang Initializing MediaCore

Initializing mediacore... how do I return CS5???

Not that I want to... but so far I have gotten NO help from adobe on this issue and can't find a solution.
I have both CS4 and installed CS5 on to my W7-64 system. AEFX CS4 work fine. CS5 stalls on Initializing MediaCore and then after 10 min it starts but says QT components not installed (but are). Funny thing is that if I create a new user profile and log in, AEFX CS5 starts fine. I don't get it... I have tried some of the solutions noted in various posts, but to no avail. I have:
- uninstalled and re-installed
- pulled out plug-in folder
- started in safe mode
- deleted preferences folder
- started AE as Admin
NOTHING IS WORKING AND I NEED THIS TO WORK IN MY CURRENT MAIN USER PROFILE!!!

You don't have proper permissions to load system drivers and start services, most likely. I suggest you do a little reading here. This should give you the right idea what to change and where to look. If managing services manually doesn't help, changing your group policies (gpedit.msc) is the otehr alternative, at the cost of reducing system security, because you need to include your user to allow meddling with system services, even if not admin...

CS3 DW crashes at start

While doing a Vista compatibility check on DW CS3 using MS

Tool; DW now crashes at startup. Initially DW would seem to
start and
would show up in Task Manager as running; but would not be
running. I
shut DW down from the TM and then restarted DW while watching
TM. Both
DM and a service DkService.exe started simultaneously and
stopped when
DW now longer showed CPU usage.
I did a reinstall/repair from the CD; but, now when I
attempted to start
DW I received two error messages:
1. App Error: The app failed to initialize properly
(0xc0000142).
Terminate, OK. I terminated.
2. Next I got two (2) "Critical Stop" sounds and a MS Visual
C++ Runtime
Library: Runtime Error Program <path to DW.exe>. This
app has requested
the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make this all
O.K.? :-}
