AE CS5 - AIFF errors

Had a crazy weekend trying to figure out why my trimmed .aif files wouldn't properly playback or render. Half the time they'd start at the beginning no matter where the cti was cued, half the time they'd just sound like my speakers were underwater. It was a grab bag of full-on random audio misery.
There's been some chatter on the Premiere Pro board about this issue, but I haven't seen anything as of yet here on AE - has anyone else had this kind of experience lately? If so what did you do to resolve it? My workaround was converting the .aifs to .movs then replacing in AE, and even then I still had a glitch or two. Anybody?

  • Adobe CS5 Configuration Error 16

    Hi,
I am having an issue on my Macs running Adobe CS5 installed via Adobe's default installer with a volume license key. I have local non-adminstrator mobile user accounts that authenticate to open directory. They are non syncing.
On some machines, when a mobile user logs in and tries to run any Adobe app, there is a pop up with CS5 Configuration Error 16. Please reinstall Adobe CS5. I've checked the permissions of the directories listed in http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/configuration-error-cs5.html#main_AdobeP CD
and they are correct. I've determined that the root cause is a cache.db-journal file that belongs to a different user. If I delete this file (as admin), the problem goes away. What causes this file to exist? What causes it to persist between users? Should I add a login script to delete the cache.db-journal file if it exists?
    Thanks.

I finally got everything working, despite the ineffectual help of the Adobe support team. Maybe my solution will be helpful.
I loaded a duplicate of my system saved BEFORE installing the Cloud Manager onto another drive. Then I loaded the Cloud Manager onto my current boot drive and sure enough, got the Error 16. Then I loaded the OLD version of the Adobe PCD file from my duplicate drive. No go. Then I loaded the OLD SLStore file. Still Error 16.
BUT then I replaced the SLCache folder and BINGO! problem gone. I noticed in the folder is another called SLConfigs. I am not sure it is a permissions issue or something that happens to this file when the Cloud Manager updates these files, but by reloading the pre-install version of this foldeer I have fixed the problem. I repeated the fix on another machine. I have now downloaded the CC apps with no issues.

  • InDesign CS5: Configuration Error (Error 5)

I've installed CS5 Premium. When I try to start InDesign CS5, I get this error: "Configuration error. Please uninstall and reinstall the product. If this problem still occurs, please contact Adobe technical support for help, and mention the error code shown at the bottom of the screen. Error: 5. http://www.adobe.com/support/". It looks like this:
I've uninstalled and reinstalled. It did not help; I got this same error again. I went to the Adobe support page and found nothing useful. I see it says "contact Adobe technical support," but I am trying my best to sort this out on my own before getting in the support queue.
Has anyone else had this trouble?
Perhaps related, perhaps not, when I try to start Photoshop CS5, it brings me to the 30-day trial activation screen. This, despite the fact that I entered my serial number for the suite when installing it. If I put the serial number into the activation screen, it rejects it as invalid for the product (from what I read, it should be accepted ... a document here on Adobe's website said any application in the suite should accept the suite serial number). I know the serial number is good, because it works on my other machine (it installed fine and works on my desktop, and this is the laptop I am trying to get to work). InDesign, Photoshop, and Bridge are the only products in the suite installed on this machine. Bridge works fine.
Any help would be most appreciated!

    Hi,
Can you please provide information about system configuration.
If you don't have any other version of Adobe on your system then you can run CS3 Clean Script on level 4 on your machine. This will actually remove all Adobe componentes from your machine and then try the installation..
    Cheers,
    Swapnil

  • SOLUTION - Photoshop CS5 Runtime Error, R6025, runtime c++

    Hello All CS5 Photoshop Users.
You have been getting an error on Photoshop CS5 Runtime Error, R6025 C++ in 64bit
I finally figured the solution for this.
What you have to do is this:
    Uninstall all the Runtimes x86 x64 for 2005, 2008, 2010
    Uninstall the entire CS5 Photoshop.
    Go to your C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop (64bit)\Plugins\
    Delete any 3rd party plugins
    Go to C:\Program Files (86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop\Plugins\
    Delete any 3rd party plugins
    Reboot
Re-install CS5 Photoshop, when selecting the installation make sure to install 32bit and 64bit, when you are installing 64bit and you select it will also select 32bit, install the CS5 Photoshop.
    Now install the Runtimes from Microsoft x86 x64 for 2005, 2008, 2010
Confirm the size of the runtimes from microsoft with cs5 photoshop runtimes
Location of MS Runtime - C:\Windows\winsxs
    Install the plugins and done!!!!!
Hope this helps to all CS5 Photoshop users.

To uninstall the runtimes you can easily do it from registry, best and easy way, this will clear any files which were having conflicts.
Runtime C++ is the error with Visual C++ Runtime.
Go to start > run > type regedit and click OK
    In the registry go to:
    HKLM > Software > Microsoft > Windows > Current Version > Uninstall
Expand the Uninstall and you will see many folders or Keys with long names like {002D9D5E-29BA-3E6D-9BC4-3D7D6DBC735C} ...click on them one by one, on the right side you will see what application it is. On the right side look for these
    Name: DisplayName
    Data: Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 ATL Update kb973924 - x86 9.0.30729.4148
    Name: UninstallString
    Data: MsiExec.exe /X{002D9D5E-29BA-3E6D-9BC4-3D7D6DBC735C}
Make sure the name is Microsoft Visual C++..... any version, you will for sure have more than 3-4.
Double click on the UninstallString and copy the Data, go to start > run > and paste , click on OK, and the uninstall will begin.
WARNING - Please make sure you close all the application before proceeding. Go to task manager and kill any process which is not running by system like any third party application including third party WLAN software, or any other, check system tray (bottom right corner before the clock).
Once you have all this done you will not have any problem.
When installing CS5 on 64bit application, make sure to install CS5 32bit as well because of some dll and system files being not fully compatible.
First uninstall the CS5, then uninstall the runtimes, backup your Plugins as folders, you can over write them later without reinstalling them.
    OR
Uninstall runtimes, repair CS5 with an option of installing 32bit and 64bit.

  • When i write in photoshop cs5 the error

when i write in photoshop cs5 the error is (img)
Why this error please help me

This error is generally caused by a incompatible/incomplete/corrupt font. When you select the type tool, Photoshop reads all of your available fonts to generate a WYSIWYG list. To test if a bad font is the cause of this error, go to Preferences > Type and disable the Font Preview. If the Type tool now works without error, then we know a font is the root issue.
If on Windows, uninstall (drag font files out of the Fonts folder) and reinstall (drag font files into the Fonts folder) your most recent fonts. The files will be verified on reinstall and most likely one or more will give an error. If on Mac, validate your fonts with Fontbook.

  • Dw CS5 .vs CS5.5 errors

I've been running DW CS5 with no problems, when 5.5 first came out I updated the entire suite. All apps worked fine except I noticed when I was uploading certain files to my web server sometimes I would have rollover button problems along with some other annoying file problems in 5.5 . After going nuts trying to find what the problems were and being in the middle of projects I chose to go back to CS5 and forgot about it.
now I was trynig to create a JQuery mobile site and realized I had to use  CS5.5 so I re uploaded it and was working in the JQ file and all seemed normal. But then I had to re do a page which forced me to save a .php file over in CS5.5 the original was saved in 5.0 and when I uploaded and tried the file ( email form) I got this msg
Parse error:  syntax error, unexpected '{' in /home/content/r/a/l/ralphiedee/html/email/send_form_email.php on line 1
Went nuts looking for the problem and could not find and I had a hunch so I re downoladed the zip file of the email form ( the .php file came in ) saved it in DW CS5 and uploaded to the server sent myself a mail and it worked so the problem is DW5.5 .
To see what I mean go here or any .php -html email form ( it happens in all 3 I've tried)
    http://css-tricks.com/nice-and-simple-contact-form/
    download the form files
open in Dreamweaver CS5 upload the .php and html5 files to a server running mySQL ( edit so you can send yourself a mail)
you will see the form work fine.
delete the saved 5.0 files from the server to be sure there is no conflict
then open a copy of Dreamweaver CS5.5 unzip the same files open in 5.5 save and upload those to the server )
    you will get this error
Parse error:  syntax error, unexpected '{' in /home/content/r/a/l/ralphiedee/html/email/send_form_email.php on line 1
I really need to be in 5.5 can anyone let me know why I get this error in 5.5?

OK maybe this will be of some help, as explained I get this error only in DW CS5.5 NOT CS5.0
I found out the error is a parsing error on the first line of the script. If you look at the first line of the script its fine in CS 5.0 and in CS5.5 LOCALLY so I re did the files uploaded in CS5 and then DOWNLOADED the file
( file I'm referring to is the .php file which is giving me the parsing error below)
    <?php
$email_to = "[email protected]"; // your email address
$email_subject = "Contact Form Message"; // email subject line
    $thankyou = "thankyou.htm"; // thank you page
    ?>
The file looks exactly the same when downloaded from the server so there is no error here
    BUT
I re did the files in DW CS5.5 uploaded sent myself a mail and got the parsing error again so I downloaded the .php file from the server and this is how it looks
    <?php$email_to = "[email protected]"; // your email address$email_subject = "Contact Form Message"; // email subject line$thankyou = "thankyou.htm"; // thank you page?>
See the screenshots of the files I downloaded from the server as the cs5.5 does not have the color for each set of code and is not correctly displayed while the CS5 0 file is EXACTLY the same as the uploaded file.
THERE HAS TO BE A PREFERENCE OR A LINE CARRIAGE ERROR THAT DREAMWEAVER CS5.5 IS GENERATING .
    DW CS5.0
DW CS 5.5 ( SEE LINE ONE IS ALL BLUE) THAT IS THE PARSING ERROR. WHY IS 5.5 UPLOADING THE PAGE AND DISPLAYING LIKE THAT?

  • After Effects CS5.5 Error Rendering known clean project even after Reinstall and after System Restore

I've been getting frequent, but not consistent, errors during rendering AE CS5.5 projects with lots of 3D layers and lights. I have gone back to a known clean project to confirm the issue isn't with a particular project. The error is usually an error invoking the advanced 3D render engine. This is sometimes followed by a bad tracked memory id popup. But sometimes the program just hangs up.
    My System:
    i7 [email protected]
    24GB RAM
    Windows 7 professional 64 bit SP1
    NVidia Geforce GTX 570
I have trashed the preferences, cleaned the cache, turned off rendering multiple frames, deleted Open GL, updated the graphics card drivers and even tried reverting to old graphics card drivers. Window's Memory Diagnostic Tool didn't find any problems. System File Checker Tool didn't find any corrupt files. My system drive is not fragmented.  I have reinstalled AE, reinstalled all of CS5.5, and did a system restore to a known working point (both with and without doing the Windows updates that have occurred since the restore point). None of this fixed the problem.
I have tried the script BG Renderer to render in the background. I have consistently gotten the following error running the script, which I'm hoping will be a clue:
"aerender ERROR An existing connection was forcible closed by the remote host.
:Unable to receive at line 314
aerender ERROR: After Effects can not render for aerender. Another instance of aerender, or another script, may be running; or, AE may be waiting for a response from a modal dialog, or for a render to complete. Try running aerender without the - reuse flag to invoke a separate instance of After Effects."
The first two times I tried to render with BG Renderer, the error came right after closing AE. But I still got the same error if I left AE open and just sat and watched.
    Any help is appreciated.

Update: I believe I have discovered the problem! It was a bad RAM stick. Windows Memory Diagnostic tool found nothing wrong, and nothing in my system seemed to be effected other than the ability to render complex AE projects with 3D layers. After a complete system restore to a known working point failed to help, I opened up the machine. Finding nothing loose, I methodically tested all the memory sticks to find the culprit. Everything is running smoothly now, albeit on less RAM.

  • CS5 Runtime Error in Windows 7

    Hey everyone,
I tried searching for this problem but couldn't find a good answer, so i joined in hopes someone could help me.
I have Windows 7 Premium, and I've been using Photoshop CS5 for a while now with now problems. Now when I start it up, i get an error message after the splash screen that says: "An unexpected and unrecoverable problem has occured. Photoshop will now exit."
    Then another message that says:
    "Runtime Error!
    Program: C:\... (cut off)
THis Application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information".
Then it closes. The only thing i've done recently was update my bios. To try and fix the problem, I updated directx, deleted my prefs, downloaded the new c++ redistribuable, uninstalled/reinstalled photoshop twice and still nothing.
Please help me out or point me in the right direction. Thanks!!!
