AE CS5 says missing component and refuses to fireup

after effects could not start because a required component could not be found. this may be because of a damaged installation or unsupported operating system. Please consult the minimum requiremtns of re install After Effects. (998)
thats the error message i get.
i tried uninstalling AE and reinstalling. (i tried that several times)
then i used the adobe support advisor, which directed me to a page that suggested me to uninstall and delete the adobe folders and reinstall. i uninstalled the entire production premium package deleted the "adobe" folder from my program files folder and re-installed. this time it failed to install flash catalyst.
but rest of the applications run fine.
just AE wont run! this is the primary application i am using.
any help would be much appreciated.

i am running this in windows 7
and on a dell precision workstation.

hi everyone,
i reinstalled everything from scratch. windows and the whole set up. (deleted my system disc partition and recreated it before installing windows) i still have the same error message. and my other packages from the rest of the production premium is working fine.
any help would be appreciated.

Missing component, and a symbol

I can't dl quicktime files these days, all there is is just this symbol http://img367.imageshack.us/my.php?image=symbol4xw.jpg
and nothing happens. IT say's I'm missing a component, but I don't know what. I uninstalled and re-installed, still the same thing. I can play quicktime movies I saved a while back, but now I can't get anything off the net. Even when I do scouting with my browser, I see that symbol icon in places. In case the link above doesn't show what it looks like, it looks like a film strip cell, with a tear in it, and the quick time Q is in the center. Can someone please tell me what I can do?
again, I can't dl off websites, and I have the version 6 of quicktime, which I already payed for earlier this year.

OK... totally confused now. Not you, QT. Step by step:
1) If I understood your instructions correctly, I downloaded 7.0 version of QT and installed. I had tried this previously, but didn't realize how long it took to download, and previously quit before it was loaded I think. This time, I let it finish. Took a while but finished without errors.
2) Attempted to go to the Trailer secion in Apple Movies and view some trailers. Got this message...
The QuickTime Plug-in requires the QuickTime System extension version 5 or later (?????... thought I had 7.0????)
3) Then went back to your instructions and opened QT, and OPEN URL, and pasted in the link you provided. It ran fine.???????

Lexmark printer says "a component required for printing is missing."

hi, im new to this forum so bear with me.
i use a lexmark x5470 printer and it worked fine for the past few years and suddenly it says, "Missing component: /Library/Printers/Lexmark/Drivers/.Resources/5400 Series Color 1.lut"
i just refilled the ink cartriges and it printed out the test paper (whenever you refill the cartridges it automatically prints the test page), so my printer definitely works, it just cant print out the files from my macbook.
i havent re-installed or installed my printer because i don't have the installation disc or anything of the sort.
any help would be appreciated.

In the finder, select Go menu, Go to Folder... menu item. Then enter (or cut/paste) /Library/Printers/Lexmark/Drivers/.Resources/ and click the Go button. The Drivers/.Resources folder will open in the finder. See if 5400 Series Color 1.lut is in there. I'm guessing it's not.
I did some google searching for that X5470 printer and found a page to download it's support files and found this page. Then I clicked "change OS" and selected Macintosh and 10.6 from the popups on that page and clicked Filter. It brought up a link to support code to download; Lexmark 5400 Software support for Mac OS X 10.6. I downloaded that suff and took a look at it and it will install the requisite 5400 Series Color 1.lut file (among other stuff) in the proper place.

I downloaded NISCOPE installation file(niscope.exe). When I tried to install it, I got an error message saying “Missing Component Scope-SFP 1.1f2”. Where can I find this component?

Missing Component in Dreamweaver Trial Install?

I was hoping someone could shed some light on an issue I am having with a Dreamweaver trial I am evaluating. I downloaded and installed CS4 trial the other day with no issues. Then my computer crashed and windows automatically did a restore. When my computer came back up, Dreamweaver was not there as I probably had not rebooted since I was initially trying it. Now, I download the trial again and get some sort of "missing component" and Dreamweaver doesnt install fully and therefore doesnt work. Thoughts?

Unless the uninstall option appears in the installed programs list, you may possibly have to delete the program manually, run the cs4 clean-up script then reinstall Dreamweaver, as your reg entries etc will be corrupted for the installation.

It sounds like your downloaded archive file the big is eithe corrupt or not where it should be. That file is a 7Zip file which can be extracted with 7zip. If the downloaded file is bad delete it and download it again Download CS5 products

I downloaded some videos to Premier Elements 13 from an external hard drive but now the external hard drive is damaged. While setting up my new MAC the external hard drive was dropped and I have been told by an outside source they could not retrieve the files. It had 4 years of photos and videos on it. I remembered that I had downloaded some of the videos from the external hard drive (before it was broke) to Adobe Organizer 13 when I installed the Adobe 13 on my MACOS X 10.9.5. I tried to open the videos on the organizer which it shows the video but with a yellow ? and says missing file. Is there anyway I can open these videos?
Any input is greatly appreciated!! I am sick over losing the videos and had a little hope on Adobe Organizer until I was unable to open them. I am thinking it is due to my external hard drive not being plugged in. I thought when I transferred from the external hard drive to Adobe 13 that it would be there without the external hard drive needing to be attached but maybe I did something wrong.

To what did your camera record those photos and videos - camera's internal memory, inserted memory card, other?
Any remote chance that the latter may still exist for you to use to download the camera files to your new external hard drive?

Yep. I installed Lion this morning. Open Mail. All is good. Went to video on the Apple's homepage and my whole computer froze up. I couldn't even shut down the computer properly. I just had to shut it off and restart. :|
