AE CS6 - Focusrite Forte driver no longer supported?

Hi,
Following the latest update to AE CS6 my focusrite forte audio card is no longer accepted?  It works fine in every other program including the latest AE CC and all other Adobe CC programs and also Abelton Live, Cubase, Windows Media, Quicktime etc.
If i add an audio track into a project in AE CS6 and try to play back I get the following error message...
Audio Driver not supported, please re-configure your device or change Audio Output, alarmingly I'm also sometimes getting the BSOD!, which I've never had since building this machine.
I have all the latest drivers for both the focusrite forte and Adobe CS6 installed and like I say until the last update is was working fine.
Can someone please look into this, I dont know what else to try.  I like using AE CS6 instead of CC because of the massively overlooked god awful lag everytime CC tries to search for a file not on a super high speed SSD, by the way when is the fix for this coming?
If you need any additional info then please ask
My comp specs
Windows 7 64 bit
Intel core i7 3930K
32 gig ram
AMD Firepro V7900 Graphics
Focus Rite Forte USB 2 Audio
All the best
Si

Thanks for the info Todd,
I get that many updates for CC products I start to lose track, AE CC does seem to be working a lot better now...
Do you know have any info about my sound card problem? Another reason I like using CS6 is because I have a lot of Foundry plugins installed on that version so a fix would be greatly appreciated.

  • Adobe PDF driver no longer supported

    I recently purchased an iMAC running Mountain Lion 10.8.4 which no longer supports Adobe's PDF printer driver. This driver had an ADD BORDER setting which I relied heavily on. Without the availability of this driver, I now must EXPORT to PDF from the applications that I use; Specifically, Adobe Illustrator CS4 & QuarkExpress 9.
    Since the Adobe PDF printer driver is no longer supported, I can't find a selection to ADD A BORDER when exporting to PDF from within these applications. My client insists on having a border around components within my PDF files. I have over a hundred  files for this client. How can I add a border (not a frame) to my exported PDF files?
    The only solution I can find is to add an empty outline box to each file, export it to PDF, then delete the outline box before preping each file for printing. This work around should be unnecessary. If there's something I'm missing, please help.

    Hi,
    I think I found the answer.
    I updated to Acrobat Professional 9.4.4.  But that isn't the answer.
    I tracked it down to the installation of Firefox 4.
    Found these discussions:
    http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/788993
    http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=2122001&sid=76d02be681f087f8bb0ba6ded50 55198
    Specifically, in the second discussion there is a comparsion of browsers with hardware acceleration turned on and off and their outputs (text vs graphic).
    When I turn hardware acceleration off, the PDF from the Adobe PDF Printer is searchable.
    I am using Firefox 4.0.1.

  • Version of google drive no longer supported

    Hi all,
    recently, when booting up my MacBook, I get a pop up screen telling me that "this version of google drive is no longer supported. Please install the latest version" - (see attached).
    Then when I try to install the latest version I get another pop up that tells me " this operation can not be completed because the item 'google drive' is in use" - (see attached).
    Has anyone else had this issue? What can I do????
    thanks
    adam

    What were you using before Google Drive came along?
    I do not use any Google software, myself.
    I am reporting the issues found in both Google's own troubleshooting forums as well as issues reported here in these forums and one or two other Mac magazine troubleshooting forums I am, also, active in.
    Both Google Chrome AND Drive are not running completely stable on Mavericks.
    You can continue to continue to run  this software, as is, at the risk of your Mac slowing down or causing other performance issues or bugs OR choose to uninstall it for awhile until Google really issues a seriously major update for Mavericks that gets the software running bug free and stable.
    Google is going to have to cure the various bugs in Drive in Chrome soon as OS X Yosemite is coming soon in the fall.
    I can offer no other options for you.

  • HP Universal Printer driver no longer supporting T790ps

    T790ps 44in Printer no longer available to be added using HP Universal Printer Driver PCL6 -
    Was this removed from supported printers?
    We only use IP printing and this printer is no longer able to be mapped using the HP UPD PCL6 -
    Can someone please advise / update on this comment?
    Thank You -

    Sorry, I should have asked this earlier, what version of Windows are you using?
    Since I don't want to waste too much more of your time with you waiting for me to reply, I will go ahead and give you two links of troubleshooting steps that I would recommend trying.
    The Progress Bar on the Software Installation Stops or Stalls
    'Device Setup Failed to Complete' or 'Unknown Device' Message Displays on the Computer in Windows Du...
    The first one addresses the issue of the software not completing. The second, even though the title might not seem like an issue that you are having, addresses the issue of the printer not being recognized by USB.
    Try those and let me know if either of them work. If they don't, get back to me with your version of Windows and I will see if I can find anything else to help you resolve your issue.
    If I have been helpful or if you’d like to say thanks you can click the white star under my name to give me Kudos.  I really appreciate it!
    Best of luck,

  • CS6 Img Properties panel no longer supports hspace

    I just upgraded from CS5.5 to CS6 and have lost the ability to quickly insert the img hspace attribute.
    I very often take advantage of the img hspace attribute. While I know it is deprecated, is still fully supported, and codewise, more efficient than an inline style. My problem is each image (and there are many) needs a different hspace so I can't just make a reusable class (which is what css excels at).
    Using hspace="5" vs style="margin:5px 0" is much shorter and easier. Plus there is no way to add an inline style in the css panel. Dreamweaver keeps wanting to modify the class of the <a href> tag around the image instead of adding the code inline to the image itself. In CS5 I simply entered the desired number in a single box and I was done. Now customizing each and every image will take many times longer.
    Please don't force me to code the way you choose. Let me choose when to stop using deprecated attributes. Is there an option that I haven't found to re-enable the hspace and vspace quick entry boxes in Dreamweaver CS6?

    So, as Nancy said hspace is deprecated and has been for quite a while. I am surprised anyone is still using this to be honest.
    I am struggling to understand why you would need to change the hspace per image. Regardless of how it's coded, this is a lot of work when it would be easier to make everything consistent. Inline styles, although they will solve the hspace issue, are still not recommended as they require much more work in the long run.
    As mentioned, I am at a loss at trying to understand why each image is individually coded. But, you could create several classes and then apply a different name to each image? This would at least cut down some of your coding.
    .One{margin:0 5px;}
    .Two{margin:0 10px;}
    .Three{margin:0 15px;}
    .Four{margin:0 20px;}
    <img class="One" src="" alt="" />
    <img class="Two" src="" alt="" />
    <img class="Three" src="" alt="" />
    <img class="Four" src="" alt="" />

  • DVD drive no longer supports as many media types

    Hey guys
    I recently had a serious problem with my MacBook Pro, only solution was to back my stuff up and do a fresh install and start all over again. Everything went fine, but I noticed just now in the system profiler, that my optical drive (MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-875) now only supports CD/DVD write to -R and -RW discs, and I know for a fact that before I did the new install, it supported a couple of other types, including +RW. I'm still hunting for a cause/solution to this, and will post anything I find, but in the meantime, any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

  • Imac runs slower and disk drive no longer supported

    I am not tech savvy.  I am writing this for help.  My 2009 imac has been upgraded each year.  Now that I have Yosemite, things run slower. I thought keeping current was a good thing, but now I realize it might not be. Also, why has apple discontinued support of the disk drive for iphoto, idvd, and iweb. I loved using those items and creating things. Now my only option for saving photos is to put them on a flash drive.  I was told there are apps, but I don't know which ones. I never knew that things would be discontinued and not usable.  There should be a warning  to dummies like me who don't know that apple gives then takes away.  I thought each upgrade made things easier, safer, and better.  Guess that is not the case.    If anyone can tell me what to do so that my disk drive will work with iphoto, let me know.  Also, any easy to follow steps are greatly appreciated as I am a "simple" user.  Thank you.

    You need to upgrade iPhoto to 9.6.
    I don't use iWeb, but IDvd runs fine for me. Yes, Apple has discontinued support for them, but that was several years ago.

  • HT1338 I am trying to setup my external drive, but when I do, I get a box that pops up that says You can't open the application "LaCie Setup Assistant" because PowerPC applications are no longer supported".

    When trying to setup my external hard drive, I get this box that pops up and says this:
    You can’t open the application “LaCie Setup Assistant” because PowerPC applications are no longer supported.

    PowerPC was a type of processor used in Mac systems before Apple switched to Intel-based processors. These older chips required applications to be coded differently, to the extent that they will not run on the Intel processors in newer Macs. Apple used to include a translator that allowed these programs to at least run, but this translator is no longer available so if you run into an older PowerPC-based program then OS X will give you this error.

  • My external hard drive is no longer supported because of PowerPC app?

    I am trying to back-up my computer to my external hard drive and a box is popping up saying "You can't open the application WD Backup.app because PowerPC applications are no longer supported."  What does this mean?  I have updated my system to Lion since my last back-up.  Could this be the reason?  What do I need to do?

    Lion no longer supports apps that were written for PowerPC processors.
    WD Backup is a utility that came with your Western Digital hard drive.
    You may want to visit the Western Digital Web site to see if the have an updated version of their bakup utility.

  • My HP Photosmart C4580 no longer supported by HP or Apple. How can I reinstall printer driver?

    I uninstalled my HP Photosmart C4580 thinking I could reinstall from the CD that came with it only to find out that the CD doesn't cover Mavericks. HP and Apple no longer support this printer. Suggestions?

    This document says the C4500 series driver is available for automatic download/install when you add the printer in Print & Scan prefs:
    OS X: Printer and scanner software available for download
    Have you tried adding it yet?
    PS - The CD is almost always outdated by the time you buy the printer. Don't bother with the CD.

    You won't be able to install your original Acrobat 7 at all, or use your original serial number. The server which used to allow this was switched off.
    But assuming you have a compatible system, like Mac OS 5 or Windows XP, licensed users of Acrobat 7 can download a replacement and get a replacement serial number.

    I installed a new hard drive and trying to reinstall FCP2 and on the install disc i get the following message - "You can't open the application FC Studio.mpkg because power PC applications are no longer supported"

    Because you are running lion.. FCS 6 is a Power PC app and Lion doesn't support Power PC anymore.. So you can't install it.. Three options..
    1. Revert back to Snow Leopard.
    2. Purchase FCP X...
    if you can't stand FCP X
    3. Call apple directly, 1800-MYAPPLE and ask to purachse FCS 3 for $999... (its FCP 7)
    I just got FCS 3 today through apple phone sales..

  • Cannot install printer driver powerpc no longer supported, but works on older mac

    Since I use the same driver on an old Mac Book Air, which had a Lion upgrade put on it, whats the problem?
    Yes I have a Dell 3115cn printer, which I use on PC's and My Mac Book Air.  The Air was upgraded to Lion and works fine with this printer... All is well
    So I buy another MAC Book air, which has Lion pre installed on it.  Used migration assistant to copy Mac, but failed.  Could not log into main user, FileVault problem.  So start with a new user on  new mac.  Shame.
    So I go to install the DELL 3115cn driver and I get the message "You can't open the application Dell 3115cn Installer because PowerPC applications are no longer supported".  Which I under stand what it means, but the same driver works fine on the other Lion machine.
    Does anyone know if I can by pass this validation?    surly the message is completely wrong, else it would not work on my older mac (with lion installed)
    May be only the installer is PowerPC stuff.  In which case does anyone know how to copy the Printer driver of the older mac.  Is that possible?

    Hello,
    the problem is not the printer driver that does not work in Lion, the problem is the installer application which seems to be a PPC based application.
    Eventually you may just copy the DELL printer driver itself from the working Air to the system in question.
    You will find the appropriate folder (Printers) either in the user's Library or the systems library, depending of the former DELL installation method of the driver.
    There will be a subfolder named DELL
    As both library's are hidden in Lion you have to use "go to" -> "go to folder" from the menue bar to access the library's.
