AE CS6 project crashing/locking up upon loading - same % each time
Hi everyone,
Having some problems with CS6 on Windows 7.
I created a project on my desktop which is powerful and up to such a basic project. Returning to the project later I found it would no longer open. It would load some assets into the project list, and go to about 5%, then the screen and windows would white out and not respond.
I tried importing etc but could not get it to open.
Oddly, it will open on an off the shelf laptop no problem. I even tried reducing the project, collecting files and opening on the original desktop, and still no luck.
Any idea what would cause this? It is doing the same with an earlier version of the same project..
Originally there was a warning that would come up during startup which I struggle to remember, something about GL settings, and with the option to warn upon startup once per session etc.. I remember turning this off before the problem started occurring.. could that have caused the issue?

I have tried that... unlikely it's a corrupt source/project problem I would think as I can swap across to the laptop and it opens no problem... possible it is an effect problem I guess... although I just tried making fresh projects with same effects and still no good.... I have removed almost everything in the project and saved a copy... no good... I have reinstalled AE twice... no good
I even tried saving it out CS5.5 and opening in CS6... still locked up..... so frustrating

I have a macbook pro 10.8.5 and the Application Safari will not open no matter what i do, I try to open the menu of Safari but it won't let me either, the mouse will just be loading. I just download and install itunes 10.5 and it worked good the first days but since yesterday it crashed up, and everytime i start it it crashes again and logged me out each time. it can´t acces my itunes account. I´m using snow leopard the last version. What can i do to solve this problem and and continue using my itunes normally?
Try doing it in a WIndows Safe mode - Restart computer and hit F8 key right after your see BIOS check and choose "Safe mode with networking"
Do the SFC /SCANNOW again.
If that does not work, whilst in safe mode, download Free Malwarebyte software from CNET's Download.com. Install, update virus definition then perform a full scan. Remove if it did find some viruses or trojans. Restart computer.
Back to regular windows, do the SFC /SCANNOW again.
If that doesnot work, check to see if your Hard drive has errors or bad sectors
GO START BUTTON /COMPUTER, right mouse click OS (C:) and choose "Properties"
Choose "Tools" tab and under error checking, click "Check Now".
Make sure "Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors" is checked and click start.
Restart windows will perform the above task to fix errors This may take hours depends on how big is your Hard Drive

My iphone 4 lock button is broken but each time i click on an app, the screen will turn black and go back to my home screen. How can i fix this?

Firefox crashes or closes upon loading page in 2nd tab.
Since upgrading to FF V10.0 I can't open certain pages and FF closes/crashes upon loading a new page in a second tab.
FF won't open at all while having 2 startpages, even in safe mode.
No crash report submitted. the last crash report was in V9.Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

In the new OS Yosemite, why is there a loading bar each time i turn on my mac?
I got the OS Yosemite 2 days ago, and i noticed something new. Each time i turn on my mac, there is a loading bar at the bottom of the screen after i enter my password. It takes like 20 seconds to load, but it can be quite annoying. Anyone else have this problem? ( i have the macbook pro 15 inch, mid 2014 )
Open Security preferences and be sure the option requiring a password is unchecked. Or open Accounts preferences, click lock icon and authenticate, click on Login Options button and configure your account for Auto-login.

Help! InDesign CC 2014 crashes and loses workspace and preferences each time
InDesign CC 2014 crashes on a daily basis (sometimes multiple times per day) causing me to lose my preferences and have to resetup and reload my workspace... are there any fixes or is this issue even being addressed?
It's quite likely that there is a problem with the User space on your computer. Please tell us whether you're working a Mac or Windows computer.
Try creating a new user on your computer and launch InDesign from that user. On a Mac, that would be done in the Users & Groups System Preference. -

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List. -
SwfLoader cause Browser to crash when we change loaded swf multiple times..
Hi Everyone,
I'm developing a Flex application now, and inside my application I am using SWFLoader which will be used to load other .swf file.
The SWFLoader is working, but after I change the .swf file so many times(around 20 times), the application always cause the browser to crash and shutdown automatically.
I suspect this is because of the SWFLoader. If we change the loaded swf inside SWFLoader, it won't remove the old one from memory automatically.
This is my simple code to change the loaded swf inside SWFLoader :

Both Apple and Microsoft like to hid thing one users. They think it for your own protection. They want us to use their OS with blinders on while they operate under the covers. Blinders just make important thing hard to deal with. I have not use an Mac in over ten years only have an iPod for IMO he is no better MP3 player and it 3:2 high resolution display is great for showing snapshots.
The first thing I do whenever I get a new Windows machine is to remove Microsoft Blinders. If you us windows use its control Panel or File Explored Folder option and set the view options so you're not blinded. You will be able to find file like your Photoshop Preferences ads Action Palette preferences. Mac will also have some options the let finder do its job. Windows: -
After a re-set, the AE keeps returning to a locked status. Try again, the same results. What do I need to do?
The locked indicator on your iPad means that the network is "secured" and requires a password to gain access. Once your iPad successfully connects it remembers the password for you so that you don't have to enter it again.
If you change the password on your network, You'll have to change it on your iPad as well. In order to do this.
On your iPad:
1. select the system preferences (gears) icon.
2. tap on Wi-Fi and make sure the Wi-Fi switch is ON
3. tap on the blue arrow of the network that you need to change the password for.
4. at the top of the next page. tap on "Forget this Network"
5. tap on the Forget button
6. close the app by pressing the home button on the ipad
7. now go back into system preferences and tap on your network name when it comes back up. It should ask you for the password. Type in the new password and your should reconnect.

i have plugged in my phone attempting at the new ios5 download multiple times and to begin with it claims to me that it cannot restore my ipod but gives no reason. but i continues with the download, and now i have a blank iphone with no data on it at all, says to plug it into itunes, so i do and it freezes in the same spot about a tenth of the way full of the bar below the apple logo.
roadpup27, having multiple replacement devices is no fun! I'm sorry you have to endure this experience with your phone. I would like to help with your issue and ensure you that we do not anticipate our certified like new phones having issues. They go through a 100-point check and in most cases work just as well or better than a new phone because they have updated software. I hope your replacement phone works for you so that you do not miss any events or be delayed. Project crashing caused by Memory?
I am having a program crash problem with Final Cut Pro when working with any number of projects (big or small). One large project (33MB), I cannot even open without FCP crashing. +*When I say crash, I mean that the program quits without notice and all windows disappear immediately without warning (i.e. no spinning beach ball or frozen windows). A dialog box then appears oon screen telling me that FCP quit unexpectedly and offers me a report or send Apple a message.+
This is my set up: I am running Final Cut Pro HD on a Dual 2.3 GHz PowerPC G5 with 4GB RAM with Mac OS X (10.4.11). My OS and all apps live on a 230 GB Internal start-up HD (159GB available) and my projects and all related assets live on a 500GB external Seagate high speed USB 2 Drive (14GB available). No other USB 1 devices are on the bus.
In order to correct the problem did the following in this order:
1- Used FCP Rescue to trash and reset FCP. No effect
2- Used Mac's Disc Utility to Repair Disk Permissions and Repair Disk (both run twice). No effect
3- Copied project file to main start-up drive in order to eliminate possible issue with linked asset. Project crashed FCP at launch.
4- Reformatted start-up Drive and performed clean install of OS and FCP. No Effect. Project still caused crash at launch.
Non of these seemed to work, so I started with a auto-saved backup of the project. I saved it as a separate copy with a new name. It opened without a crash, yet all media clips needed to be reconnected. Hooray! So, I started reconnecting media. As I do this, I reconnect small bunches of clips at a time and click save. During this long process, the program crashed again. So, I restarted FCP and the project opened without crashing. I continue to reconnect media as before. Now it takes half the time to crash again. I use FCP Rescue to trash prefs and restart FCP again, but as the program loads the project, it crashes before it can finish opening the project.
It seems to me that each time FCP crashes with a project open, it damages the project file somehow to the point that it will not open at all. Even after purging program preferences and attempting to reopen the crashed project file. Is this possible? Is there some other cause for projects to crash and or not open this way?
Now I am wondering if it is hardware causing the crashes leading to the corrupt files. I ran Apple's Hardware test and the MAC passes both the fast and long test. I also downloaded Temperature Monitor to check memory temp for overheating. It is running between 74-77˚C (165-170˚F), a few degrees higher during a render test. Does anyone know if this memory temp is an issue or what acceptable tolerances are for the G5 with FCPHD? First, generally speaking, project files should reside on your startup disk and all media on other drives.
Are you using any nonstandard codecs or formats?
Are all your drives formatted macosextended? You might want to run diskwarrior on all drives.
Once the above are eliminated, try this. Copy your fcp project file to your startup drive and disconnect the media drive. Open fcp and launch the project. All media will be offline. Save your project. Reconnect your media drive, and launch fcp and the project. Gradually reconnect your media until you find the problem clips. -
Premiere Pro CC crashes when I import CS6 project files
I recently upgraded to CC, but every time I try to import my project file from Premiere Pro CS6 into Premiere Pro CC it crashes, or stops working if you like.
This is very irritating as I wanted to make use of the SpeedGrade workflow in the CC packaged between Premiere Pro CC.
My project file is no longer than 1 minute, however is does contain After Effects CS6 compositions, could this possible cause the crash? I have tried to import without these but it still stops working for some reasons.
Also I have no idea where to find the error log for crashes on Adobe software.I have experienced similar crashes and timeline playback failure when importing a CS6 project into CC or CC 2014. I had to rebuild two projects by hand before I realized it was a bug in CC converting the CS6 project files to CC project files. I don't think this has been addressed yet, but I have had better luck starting projects from scratch in CC, not cross-converting a CS6 project. Although I'm still experiencing issues with multicam projects in CC 2014.
