AE cycles sporradically and kicks off line

My setup is as follows:
Cox Cable ISP -> Motorola Cable Modem model SB5101U -> AE model A1264 -> PowerBook, MacBook, PS3, iPhones etc.
AE firmware v.7.4.2
I have been using this set up for a few months perfectly but the past few weeks have driven me crazy (thank God for neighbors with open networks). AE light is green and everything works great, and then BAM! It does some sort of cycle and goes to amber and I lose connectivity. Whether I unplug it or not it goes through it's cycle and is back up in 5 minutes or so. Super annoying when I'm playing Call of Duty with my boss ; ) The problem is sporadic and sometimes I get a few hours of connectivity and sometimes it cycles every 10+ minutes; but I am experiencing this on a daily basis.
I have checked with Cox and my levels are stronger than any of my neighbors and I have no packet loss. They've run the test they can and everything is great to the modem - it's something between the modem and me. I plugged the modem directly into the PS3 and it stayed online all night. Leaving me with the AE being the problem?
Please help - I love apple but this is driving me nuts. I searched for an hour on these boards but am not sure what the best answer is. Do I need to go back to an old firmware?
I do not have any interference as well (no cordless phones etc.)

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
You may have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.

Not really
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

How do I connect to computers that are being used in the lab, but have no address listed on the "all computers" screen and say "off line" while they are being used?

Thanks for any help I can get. I'm the new guy here at school, and did not set up the system, so I'm not familiar with any of the individual steps for correcting problems. My question is listed in the window up top.

Thanks for the response. I tried to find out what you asked. For example:
1. Computer #35 is listed on the "all computers" screen but says "access denied", "not authorized", right click for " get info" has no administrators listed, and I don't know how to add my computer as one.
2. "Scanner" screen # 35 is not listed either in "Bonjour", or "Local Network" (ethernet interface)
3. "Scanner 2" screen - same.
4. "Scanner 3" screen - same.
5. "Computer Lab" screen #35 is listed, but says "off line", "access denied"
I hope this gives us somewhere to start and go from there. Thanks.

EA4500 2 questions-- linksyssmartwifi not working fine and kick off users

I have my new EA4500 router and following 2 questions confused me.
1. I have registered my router with linksyssmartwifi.com and after router reboot or reconnect to internet, I can access to my router using my IOS devices or android devices. But after half an hour or even 15 minutes, the router will not be accessed anymore. There's an error message saying my router is not connect to internet, but at the same time devices in local LAN can access to Internet and also I can access my NAS through EA4500 from internet. I have reset the devices several times but this issue still there. Any suggestions?
2. Is it possible to kick off the WIFI devices using local admin web access or linksys smart wifi tool? Or need any other software to make it possible?

When you received that error message on your phone, are you still getting internet access connected to your router's wifi network? If so, then I think the router is fine because it is transmitting internet connection to your phone and other devices. You don't have to reset the device. I think it's the app that's having the problem. You can try uninstalling and reinstalling the app or close/reopen the app.
Another way to isolate the problem is to access linksys smart wifi on a wired or wireless computer. Check if it's receiving the same error message as your phone after several minutes. If linksys smart wifi on the computer is not giving you that error message, then definitely, it's an app issue.
Regarding your second question, you can choose any of the options below to prevent internet access from a specific device:
1. Block internet access on particular device using parental control. This will block internet access but the device is still connected to the network so it still has access to shared files or NAS.
2. Change your router wireless password. This will disconnect devices that you don't want to have access to the network, unless the user finds a way to know your new password.
3. Enable mac filtering on your router. Mac filtering is in the wireless tab of linksys smart wifi. Select “Deny” access for the listed mac address , add the mac address of the device you don't want to give wifi access then click apply.
I tried these steps before and they worked just fine.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists. If that doesn't work, try Settings > General > Reset > reset Network Settings. Note that if you use this method, you will need to reconnect to all of your WiFi networks and Bluetooth devices.

I keep having a problem with items in my house getting kicked off line

First of all let me know the model number of the router? Does it happen when the modem connected directly to the computer? Well, you can try the following set of settings:
1] Open up the browser and on the address bar type 192.168.1.1 that will open up the Router setup page.
2] Lower the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) from 1500 to 1400 or less (usually found on your router's main/ basic setup page). Using AppleScript to kick off an iDisk 'sync-now'

I'm using my iDisk to synchronize project work between my MacBook Pro and my Mac Pro.
Unfortunately, I get problems when syncing my iDisk as some files throw up errors due to 'symlinks'. It's not too much trouble as the files at fault are only temporary and can be deleted before syncing.
To get around the problem, I decided to switch to manual iDisk syncing & write an AppleScript to simply delete a few folders and kick off a sync.
The record command in the Script Editor doesn't seem to recognize the 'sync' command. Does anyone know if it can potentially be triggered?
So to cut a long story short; 'How do I trigger an iDisk sync via AppleScript'?

No, it doesn't have to be an exe... but you have to actually run java.exe just like on the command line.
You can kill it if you hold onto the Process object it returns. Read the API docs for java.lang.Runtime and java.lang.Process

My itouch has 8 Gb of RAM and I am looking for an app that will allow me to store a PDF document in memory and read it off line as there are times when I do not have access to WiFi. I can email myself the document but I am off line, I don't think that the inbox is an off line folder from which an attachment can be viewed off line, right? Therefore the reason I am looking for the ability to save and read off line.

No, incorrect. The inbox is an *off line* folder, just as it is on a computer. Once you download the email from the server, it is in your iPod/computer and you can access it when you like.

How do I save files to my mobile device for off-line use?

I want to download my files to my iPad for reference when the device is off-line. Can this be done through Adobe.com

OK, I just tested this out and it appears that once you open the file while on-line, it is downloaded automatically and available off-line from that point on.
Not sure if subsequent highlighting will sync, but I will give it a test run as well.
If anyone knows an easy way to open multiple files instead of doing each one individually, that would be great.

     I try to make a scenario like this.
     I try to produce a dynamic off-line IAF to be downloaded with WDJ .
     (with different pre-fill data depending on user`s input data)
     And this off-line form with a button which can triggle a web service while clicking it.
     Is this scenario possible?
     All off-line IAF scenarios which I got are about using either GP or uploading off-line IAF with WDJ.
     I can`t find any tutorial like my scenario.

Having a Webservices to process your dat into a interactive form is possible, there are steps for this in ADLC help doco.
But for an interactive form to do a webservice call we have restrictions on the ADLC.
Option 1) You should be using Acrobat pro for this
Options2) You can have Adobe readers installed with Extended Rights on all the machines where this form is going to run.
Option 3) You can have a Reader extension server.

Problem kicking off process chains using Tivoli Job Scheduling

In our pre-production BW system testing,when the process chains are being kicked off through Tivoli,they are not working.
We dont get issues when the chains are run directly in BW,without using Tivoli.
The jobs with 'after event' RSPROCESS setting that kick off next node on each node's completion,are not leaving out a 'copy' after a scheduled run.
So in the next run from Tivoli,the dependency job isnt there in scheduled status,which fails the chain.
We tried manually copying the dependency jobs on the nodes.Doing this,chain does kick off from Tivoli.But again jobs dont leave copies and next run from
Tivoli fails.We tried using 'periodic job' setting.This leaves copies of job.But then why is BW able to copy out and kick off jobs,while this isnt happening when kicked off through Tivoli.
A node in the process chain is BLUE when it has a scheduled job ready in sm37,but turns GREY(no scheduled job is there in sm37),once the Tivoli kicks off chains after the manual copy.
We suspect this either to be a authorization problem or an issue with how it works when kicked off through Tivoli.Process chain 'context' is somehow not created when it runs through Tivoli.
Anyone seen such an issue before?Suggestions are welcome..

The chain does get kicked off from Tivoli.
But the job fails in Tivoli as..when it tries to hand over execution to the 1st local chain in the 'meta chain' the required job isnt there in scheduled status,with the 'after event' RSPROCESS dependency set on it.

We are running CF7 on windows, but I need to be able to read
and kick off a korn shell job that is sitting on a unix box. I've
looked at both cfdirectory and cffile, but I'm at a loss if I can
do this. Does anyone know the steps I need to do this? Is it

I have not had extensive experience ( >1 ) but heres my input. I may be missing some info but hope this helps someone.
Typically during the project Initiation phase, we work on getting the project charter, business case, Scope Statement, Project plan schedule etc.
So with respect to OCM, during the prep/initiation/kick off stage -
1) Producing Change Charter This helps to set the framework for the OCM. The Change Charter sets ambition, scope and initial attributes of the organizational change process for the entire project.
Key Deliverables during this step are OCM Plan, Purpose and Objectives
2) Business Readiness - provides the decision makers with an initial assessment of the readiness of the business to embark on the project given the scope of change defined in the business case (deliverable from Project Initiation). The assessment comprises a high level view on which stakeholders will be impacted and how dramatic the change is going to be seen from the business organizations side. We would try to include any information on the company's previous change experiences.
Key Deliverables during this step
a)     Initial impact assessment
b)     Stakeholder map and business readiness. (we would need to conduct meetings, interview etc )
3) Change Management Organization Defining change management organization is a very important as it sets the guidelines on how the proj org should be set up to meet the objectives in change charter. It helps to ensure that our leadership forces driving the changes to the business are leveraged to the maximum potential. In addition, it sets the direction for the OCM team to support the program sponsors and steering committee members in a structured manner.
Key Deliverables during this step Sponsorship Strategy (high level document).
4) Communication plan- The communication framework defined here will be followed through the project lifecycle. Hence this is a very critical step in the OCM Initial/Kick off Phase. Typically one would need to identify the target audience and align them with the initial stakeholder mapping/impact assessment, work with the client teams to find out the messaging strategy guidelines if any (if they dont have then define one), Identify communication feedback loops, and the timeline/key messages for all communications throughout the project.

a)     Communication Plan
b)     Communication Strategy and Framework.
5) Organizational Alignment Strategy - ensures that considerations has been made as regards to how radical changes to processes and organization the program sponsors wants to allow or encourage in order to achieve a coherent design of system, process and organization. If Organizational Alignment strategy is given low priority, the project team will end up in in-efficient discussions Or some times totally ignores the aspect of organizational alignment with a resulting gap between the system set-up and the processes by which the company is actually run. So, the business will still be operating but will miss out on realizing the full business benefits of the project. O rganizational Alignment Strategy Document is the key deliverable at this point.
