AE error in Premiere

I am using After Effects to create animated keys for a Premier Project.  Each AE project contains multiple comps with keys in it.  When I import the files into Premier the frames in the keys jump between the comps... Example- a key that says John Doe will appear correctly for a frame and then the next frame it will flip to Tom Doe and then after a few frames it will flip back to John Doe.  Any ideas? I am in no rush for an answer... obviously there are workarounds. This is happening on 4 different systems.  2 xp, 1 xp 64,  1 windows 7C.  I am using CS4.  Standard DV settings.  Doesn't happen if AE is open and I refresh the comps.
Only respond to this thread if you:
-have the same problem
-have a fix for the problem
-or need additional information (please be specific)

Thanks. One last question, based on the intermittent nature of this file association problem: do you have an external HDD that is being used in this workflow? OK, actually another question, but similar: have you had any sort of issues with files being corrupted on your system - anything at all?
Good luck,
Hunt

  • Error exporting Premiere CS6 sequence to edit in Audition CS6

    Hi there!
I've been trying to export a sequence from Premiere CS6 to edit in Audition CS6 through "edit>edit in Adobe Audition>sequence". However, I keep receiving the following error message:
Premiere Pro has encountered an error.
    [../../Src/Sequence/TrackItem.cpp-171]
When I hit continue the rendering doesn't move forward and I have to cancel the process.
Does anyone has a clue what could be wrong???

    I just tried to open a saved project and now get a Missing renderer error in Premiere CS6;
"This project was last used with Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA), which is not available on this system. Mercury Playback Engine Software Only will be used"
I then click OK and get a new errror:
The preset used by one or more sequneces in this project requires third party components that could not be located. These sequences will be modified to use a custom sequence setting instead ...."
I then click OK and get the error:
"Adobe Preniere Pro CS6 has stopped working"
This is the same computer thta created the project and nothing physical has cahnged. I reboot try to create a new project and get the error:
"Sorry a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premier Pro to shut down. We will attempt to save your current project"
I cant do anything with premiere CS6 at all.
    HELP!

The first two can be solved pretty easy, but won't help much in light of the third.  We need to solve that one first.  Once you get PP to open and remain open with a new project and new sequence, then we can fix the first two.  So...

  • Error Installing Premiere Elements 9 - Exit Code 7

Hi, I'm trying to install Premiere Elements 9 on a Mac (running 10.6.4), but it always comes up with an error, and the program can't be installed. Last time I tried it got to about 95% but then gave me this error:
    Exit Code: 7
    -------------------------------------- Summary --------------------------------------
    - 0 fatal error(s), 3 error(s), 3 warning(s)
WARNING: Payload cannot be installed due to dependent operation failure
WARNING: File/Folder does not exist at /Volumes/PRE9 PSE9/Adobe Premiere Elements 9/payloads/AdobeElements9Organizer/oem/ols
WARNING: Payload cannot be installed due to dependent operation failure
ERROR: The following payload errors were found during install:
ERROR:  - Adobe Premiere Elements 9_LangPacken_US: Install failed
ERROR:  - Adobe Premiere Elements 9: Failed due to Language Pack installation failure
I've tried this four or five times, and I always get exactly the same error. The only help the installer offered was "Please try restarting your system and try again." and all I could find on Adobe Support was "Install under Safe Boot Mode", which I tried, and it still failed.
Does anyone have any ideas whatsoever as to what I can do to actually get this installed?
Thank you very much in advance, anyone who can help!

I've never seen so many error codes related to language, jobbo! That's very strange.
Meantime, I've loaded Premiere Elements and run it on a couple of Macs, and it usually loads right up and runs beautifully. There does seem to be a conflict with Bridge sometimes, but I'm not sure if that's the case here or not.
It might be worth contacting Adobe's tech support. (You find contact information under the Contact button at the top of this page.) And, when you do, ASK FOR A MANAGER, don't just talk to whoever answers the phone. Most of the guys on the phones are just working from scripts and KB articles. If you can get a manager on the line, he and she will work through your unique situation.
Meantime, I'll keep my eyes open for solutions.
(BTW, I'm assuming you're using at least OSX 10.4 on at least a dual-core Intel processor.)

  • No Disk error in Premiere Elements 13

I am getting the following error:  "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive\Device\Harddisk1\DR1."   If i click continue about 5 times the box disappears & I can continue working. The same thing occurs at random when i am attempting to do different operations with the same result. I can work within the program, however the constant error message is annoying. I have searched these forums & tried the different methods of uninstalling & reinstalling, deleting the recommended files, & running a Ccleaner. I can't find any other recommendations on this problem. Please help!

Premiere Elements 13 on what computer operating system? For now, assuming Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.
What is your computer drives arrangement? How many removable drives do you have, and what are their drive letters?
    See Computer/Manage/Disc Management.
Reports of the problem that you are describing can be found for Premiere Elements many versions.
Back in 2012, the word was to use Cancel and wait for an answer from Adobe who was working on the problem.
In 2013, the cause and effect seem to target the SmartSound feature....SmartSound feature is gone in Premiere Elements 12 and 13.
Microsoft and some visitors to this forum suggest getting to the core of the problem through drive letter changes for some removable drives.
Did you install Premiere Elements 13 from installation disc or from installation files from online download? I favor the uninstall/ccleaner run through/reinstall with antivirus and firewall(s) approach to getting rid of the issue. But, problems with the same symptoms can (often do) have different causes.

  • No disk error in Premiere Elements 12 - Smartsound plug-in?

I have a fresh install of Premiere Elements 12 (with 12.1 update) on a new computer and receive the error "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive E:" whenever the program is opened or closed. I can bypass this message by repeatedly clicking "cancel". Windows application logs in event viewer lists a corresponding error message "Activation context generation failed for C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 12\Plug-ins\Common\SmartSoundAdobePlugin64.prm". I confirmed that this file does not exist.
A forum search indicates that installing Smartsound resolves this no-disk error for PrE 11 and earlier but that Smartsound is no longer a feature in PrE 12:
Re: No Disk Error for Adobe Premiere Elements 12
But another other user reported that the no-disk problem went away in PrE 12 after installing Smartsound:
Re: "No Disk" Error (premiere elements 12)
And my event viewer error message indicates that PrE 12 is looking for a Smartsound plug-in which was not included in the installation. (PrE 12 was installed via Dell Digital Delivery and did not include an installation disk.)
So why is PrE 12 looking for a Smartsound plug-in if it is no longer a feature? Any suggestions for suppressing the no-disk error other than installing Smartsound?  I'm just getting started in PrE and don't need it right now.
    Thanks,
    Greg

Thank you for the advice. I tried Han's suggestion of installing Smartsound SonicFire first since it was much quicker than completely reinstalling PrE (which entails many hours of re-downloading on a DSL line for the program & cloud content).
After installing Smartsound, the "SmartSoundAdobePlugin64.prm" file did appear in the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 12\Plug-ins\Common\ folder. However, it did not resolve the "No Disk" error or the application error logged in Event Viewer. The source of that error is listed as "SideBySide" and Event ID is 33. The full text of the message is as follows:
Activation context generation failed for "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 12\Plug-ins\Common\SmartSoundAdobePlugin64.prm". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC90.MFC,processorArchitecture="amd64",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type=" win32",version="9.0.21022.8" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.
I did a bit of research and this answer suggests that the error is the result of an incompatibility between the installed version of Microsoft Visual C++ and the version used by the program:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_programs/event-id-33-so urce-side-by-side/ef67e34f-07b2-4d52-a807-f9f81a7c32f8?auth=1
Based on this Microsoft article, it appears that the missing C++ 2008 version 9.0.201022.8 is an IA-64 version while the 9.0.30729.x versions on my machine are x64 versions:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/973552
This is all way over my head and I may leave well enough alone until I have more time to spare, given that the "no disk" error (which could even be entirely unrelated) is annoying but not crippling.
FWIW, the machine is a Dell XPS8700, Windows 8.1, 64-bit, and PrE was sold by Dell it, bundled with Photoshop Elements.

  • 5.1 Surround Export from Audition Gives "Header Error" in Premiere

Hello - I have a finished surround mix that has been exported to 5 mono stems that I need to use for a DVD.  In Audition CC 2014 I created a new multitrack session and selected the, "Surround Stems for Video Master" template.  I verified that all stems are playing on the audio meter and then selected Export / Multitrack Mixdown / Entire Session.  In the export window I selected Wave PCM, 48000 Hz, 5.1, 16 Bit.  The resulting file for the 2:15:00 project is 4.8 GB.  It plays fine in Finder and VLC.  When I try to import the 5.1 Wave file into Premiere CC 2014 I get an error that says, "The file cannot be opened because of a header error."
In Audition I have RF64 support selected.  Is this possibly a file size issue being over 4 GB?  If I set in and out points in Audition and use the same export settings the file imports into Premiere successfully.  I need to use the full quality of the audio file when I export the Dolby AC3 file from Premiere so I do not want to compress this.  Is there any setting that I can change in Premiere?  Has anyone else had success importing a surround file that is larger than 4GB on a Mac?
    Thank you!
Specs:  iMac, 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7, latest OS, latest versions of Adobe CC (PP 8.0, Audition 7.0)

I've had the same issue.  Export audio to a MOV or AVI file format in Audition or audacity.  They are movie containers, but hold audio as well, and will get past the 4gb file size limit.
Unfortunately, you cannot export back out of Premiere to audition straight out.  You will have to do one of the following to get it to work how you want:
    1. Blade at several points along your initial clips, and then edit in audition (the new spare files will be in place and will work just fine).
    2. Use the MOV or AVI audio to replace the audio in the session once you get there.
On the send back to premiere, you'll have to conform to MOV or AVI audio PCM.  Its a bit more work than most are used to, as you'd expect it to "know" the file is too big, but it really cannot tell from the container.  If a limit of a file is about an hour of audio at 96k32bit float, then they could hard limit that by seconds count, and switch to using MOV instead, which would still function normally, and they wouldn't have to do anything else.  Or they could add support for W64 and larger formats.

  • Error in Premiere Pro CS3.

Whenever I had a problem and i posted it here, i always got helped by you guys, so first of all, i want to thank those who helped me out there, and wanted you to know that i really appreciate that help.
Here is probably my last issue with Premiere Pro CS3.
    The problem:
From time to time, i get an error. A message saying: " sorry a serious error has occurred that requires adobe premiere pro to shut down"
It saves the current project, and when i start premiere over, it loads it from there. It usually happens when:
I ' activate ' an effect, example: I change the opacity to 0 ( typing it with the keyboard as a percentage ) and press enter. Right when i press enter, it pops up. ( it happens with any kind of effect, just from time to time, when i ' activate ' it)
When i minimize an audio file by dragging it to the left or the right, it happens when i release the right mouse button. These are just examples. The issue is that when i make a change, this error repeats.
I'd love to hear what the issue may be.
    Appreciate any kind of help.

Can you give us the specs. of one of the typical Projects, and their Assets, where you see this happening?
Next, can you give us the specs. of your computer, in as much detail, as is possible?
Can you also list the programs/processes, that load at boot up? A screen-cap, or report from Process Explorer will tell us a lot.
Also, before beginning an editing session, you might want to look into this ARTICLE. If you have Win7, be sure to look down-thread for the link to Black Viper's Web site for tuning that OS.
This ARTICLE might be useful for telling you what is happening with your system and your programs, when you get the error and crash.

  • DVD burning error in Premiere Elements 11

I recently filmed a friend's memorial service for their family.  I have footage from two different cameras that I have edited in Premiere Elements 11, for the purpose of making a DVD of the service.
I run into a problem when I try to burn the project to a DVD.  The burn goes a short distance (at most 5%) then pops an error that reads:
    internal software error:.\win\Primo\primo_command.cpp, line 124
I have tried making sure that all other programs are shut down (to the best of my ability - antivirus won't completely shut down, but can be put into a mode where it won't do any background activity).  I've rendered the project into AVI and loaded the AVI file into the timeline.  No matter what, I keep getting shut down at that same point.  When it occurs, my DVD drive disappears from the machine and I have to restart the machine to get the drive back.
I've checked and I have the most current firmware for the drive.  I'm running Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium on a Dell laptop.
Does anyone have any ideas what this error message means and how to correct this?  The service was about a month ago and I'd really like to get this finished up and handed off to the family.

    Yoofdursh
Thank you for your helpful information.
If you have the burn to folder feature working then you can get this immediate project done and then work out the burn to disc problem.
This is the solution to get your DVD-VIDEO Standard on DVD disc with what you have working at the present time...
    Publish+Share
    Disc
    DVD
and in the burn to: select Folder (4.7 GB) and designate a save location for it.
Download and install the free ImgBurn software and use that to take the VIDEO_TS Folder in the burn to folder to a DVD disc in DVD-VIDEO format (with required disc File System). The following is a popular online how to.
    http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/burn_dvd_folder_imgburn.cfm
The link for the download should be included in this above link.
    Basically
    1. Open ImgBurn and click on "Write files/folder to disc".
    2. In the dialog that opens, select File Menu/Browse for a source folder. Navigate to the VIDEO_TS Folder (only it), select it, then hit Select Folder to enter it into the program.
    3. Then hit the Build button at the bottom of the dialog.
There are settings that you can look through. But, the program takes over and does the essentials for you, offering messages at times as it directs you through its program.
This will work great for you to get you through your project which you want to get out sooner rather than later.
Please let me know if you see any problems with this plan.
While you are doing that I will see what I can find about this Primo Software program which you say you do not have.
    Thanks.

  • Codec error in Premiere elements 8

I tried to load a nikon D7000 into premiere elements 8 and received a codec error. I researched this and seemed to come to a converter conclusion. They seem to be shady and so I am not sure if it is more a scam to get viruses or I truly have to get a converter.

  • Error in Premiere Element 10

I used the Premiere Element 10 to edit some videos and lately encountered the following error repeatedly when I tried to render the project. I tried reinstalling the video clips and also uninstalled the program (Element 10) 3 times and re-installed it but the problem was still there. Could it be the error was still in the cache, data file, registry or elsewhere that were not deleted when I uninstall the program. The error message is [..\..\Src\FileCache\FileCache.cpp_962] . Appreciate if anyone is able to help. Thanks

    Hi Steve,
Sorry for the late reply as I had to go out of town for some urgent business. Here are some additional information:-
    1) The Camcorders that I used were Sony HDR-CX110 & Sony HDR-TG1. The recording format is AVCHD 1080/60i.
    2) The project setting was 1080/30 (not sure, should I set it exactly the same as camera setting?). I thought a lower setting will take up less memory space,  the video burnt on the DVD turned out OK.
    3) Previously, there were always Red lines above the video clips on the Timeline but recently, some of the video clips do not have red or green lines above the video clips. If I add a Motion node on the yellow line of the Video clips of those that do not have red lines, the blank line above the video clips will turn Red.
    4) My Samsung laptop's Processor is Intel (R) i5CPU, [email protected]
RAM: 4GB (3.79 usable),  System Type: 64 bit Operating System (PC)
Window 7  Home Edition, Service Pack 1
    5) My project is to combine and edit a few songs and dramas (6 of them) with Titles and subtitles and burn them on to a DVD-9 as the files are too big for a DVD5. The size of the project is about 5.8GB.  I made 2 DVDs, one of them do not have the problem.
My C-Drive is 150GB and D-Drive is 295GB. The free space available on my C-Drive ranges from 15 to 20 GB and free space on my D-drive ranges from  20 to 40 GB. The Pre10 Preview Files took up a big portion--140GB of my D-DRIVE.  I dare not delete some of the earlier preview files as I am not sure whether they will affect my project other that requiring me to re-render them. Can I delete or move some of the earlier preview file to an exteral drive?
The error  that appeared every now and then sometimes prevented me from rendering further but sometimes allow me to continue. Whether the error statement appeared or not, the end result on the DVD that was burnt was a slight " pause" (about 1 sec) at a particular spot.
The whole video project that was played back on the computer before burning do not show that "pausing" problem at that particular spot. I tried cutting off that few frames, replace the video clip, replace the subtitle, re-rendered the whole project, uninstall/re-install the Pre10, all could not solve the "pausing" problem at that particular spot.
Sometimes I also have Transcoding error after Encoding 70 to 80% of the Media.
I have just read a post by mverhaar in the forum on Jan 30, there seems to be some similarities with my problems. Meanwhile, while waiting for your expert advice/comments,  I will try hard to uninstall some of the programs in my C-drive to create more free space on my C-drive and D-drive to see whether it will help to clear up my problem.
    Thanks,
    Edmund
