AE Keeps refusing connections (still no answer??)

So, we have an AE and when I plug it in, it works fine. Users can connect and all is well.
After a little while (sometimes a few hours, sometimes days, sometimes minutes) users are not able to connect to the base station. When trying to connect from their computer it keeps asking for WPA password and times out. The only way I can get connections back is to power cycle the base station.
I have noticed that several people on the forums have this problem, and I have yet to see any fixes, is this a known issue? Is there a way around it? Thanks all.

The same here... I upgraded to Leo last december... not really any issues since then. Up to 2 days ago, suddenly I got kicked out of my airport. Could see it appear in my menubar, but as soon as I selected it it gave me a prompt to enter my WPA key. After entering the connection times out.
I reset my basestation, this time with no security... it worked fine, for about 5 minutes. Then I got kicked out again.
Another reset, same story... But now I cannot see the basestation with the airport utility anymore. I see the accespoint in my menu, but when I select it nothing happens. It wont connect.
And now the weird part. All these times I could connect with my iPhones without a problem. The basestation has been running for over a day now. No connection with my iMac, but with the iPhone, no problems.
I have deleted all my preferences (as far as I could find them). But dont want to reinstall my entire OS because of this.... but then again, I dont really like the UTP cable that is stretched through my house also.

  • My iPad keeps refusing to connect to my pc network. can't download from iTunes store.

mi iPad keeps refusing to connect to my pc/wifi network. can't download anything from iTunes, even just using it on my iPad.  even if I plug my iPad into my pc.  anyone know how to fix this?  please help!  thanks!

How about some details on your network?
What make/model router are you using?
Does your router have the latest firmware from the manufacturer?
What security type (WEP, WPA, WPA2) are you using?
What happens when you try to connect?
Does your iPad work on other networks, i.e., Borders, Starbucks, etc.?
As a stopgap it is possible to download iTunes store content from the iTunes program on your PC and sync that to your iPad (music, apps, videos, etc).

  • Keep getting "Proxy server is refusing connections, check proxy settings

I downloaded Firefox and I keep getting ..."Proxy server is refusing connections. Check proxy settings." What are proxy settings and where do I find them?

The default "Use the system proxy settings" setting doesn't always work properly on Windows XP and in such a case it is better to select "No proxy".

  • I can't get online through firefox (this keeps coming up THE PROXY SERVER IS REFUSING CONNECTIONS) but can through internet explorer?

As I said in the question when I click on the firefox link on the desktop this is what comes up (THE PROXY SERVER IS REFUSING CONNECTIONS Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections) but I can get connected through Internet Explorer. I have uninstalled firefox and reinstalled firefox with no difference.

I tried all that stuff and none of it helped. I can't load any of the google applications in firefox now. They pop up with this screen.
    This Connection is Untrusted
You have asked Firefox to connect securely to mail.google.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.
Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.
    What Should I Do?
If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.
mail.google.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because it was issued by an invalid CA certificate. (Error code: sec_error_inadequate_key_usage)
Now I tried a couple of other sites and they all seemed to work okay, and if necessary I could click understand the risks and still access the site, but no go with google. Considering I use my google account for my calendar and gmail a lot, I am highly disappointed with this new update. I hate using IE and really prefer to use Firefox.

I had the same promblem using my ipad2, I thought i was going crazy, then I noticed once when I put my user name in and checked it was right, one time it dropped the last letter of my U/N as went to hit submit so i went back put the deleted "m" back into ".com", hit enter, put in my password multiple times, tripple checked, no joy. So I hit remote on my iphone4s did the same UN/PW and it worked first time! I had the same promblem with accessing YouTube - I know I was putting the right UN/PW in but it wouldn't let me in, then miraculously one time it did... could be a letter dropping bug...

  • Why do I keep getting proxy server refusing connections - even after I already reset to NONE?

After downloading your new version of Firefox 4, I constantly get the same "proxy server refusing connections" screen. I have gone into options and changed the proxy server to "none" at least 25 times in three days. This is a ridiculous waste of my time! How can this be fixed? or if not, how can I go back to a previous version of Firefox that doesn't have this stupid issue?

Doesn't that 'No proxy' selection stay selected ?

but i am not send to the client when i accept the client connection immediately ,It doesn't matter when you send to the client. The answer is still the same. You send to a client via the socket you accepted from that client. That's what it's for.
    for example :
first client_A connect to Server (port 2222) , than Client_B connect to Server (port 2222) , finally Client_C connect to Server (port 2222)You don't need to keep telling me the port number. If the ServerSocket is listening at port 2222 they will all connect via port 2222. They don't have any choice about that.
and all not close the connection, but if I want to send some msg to Client_B from Server, how can i send the msg to client_B ?Via the socket you accepted from client B. I've already answered that.
it's just like you said "you don't have to do anything about that. " ?Is that a question?
You don't seem to have much idea about client-server socket programming. Have you read the Custom Networking tutorial?

  • A new version of Firefox, which downloaded automatically, says Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that's refusing connections, even though I had access before the download.

I was using Firefox earlier in the day with no problem. About half an hour ago I tried to get on the Internet using Firefox (as always). When I did, I was greeted with a little dialog box showing that something was downloading. That's happened before.
This time, though, I was greeted by an error page that said Firefox was configured to use a proxy server that's refusing connections.
I'm not on a network. I have a desktop computer that connedts to a wireless modem that I share only with my wife. I didn't change my settings on either. Neither did my wife.
My "Connection Settings" box still says "use system proxy settings." There are no entries in the manual settings boxes.
I want to emphasize that I changed *nothing.*
I need to know, please, how I can set my computer to get back onto the Internet or, failing that, how I can go back to the previous version of Firefox.
    Thank you very much.

You can find the connection settings in Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy"

  • My brand new iPhone 5 keeps saying "Connection Unsuccessful: Make sure "___" is turned on and in range" when I try to connect to my BlueTooth Stereo.

I just bought a brand new iPhone 5 (White and Gold) and have been having trouble keeping it connected to my BlueTooth Stereo.  The stereo was purchased brand new back in September and is current on all software.  Before I had my iPhone 5, I had the iPhone 4 and had no troubles with it connecting or remembering to connect to the stereo when it was in range.  Now, in order to connect to it, I have to first "forget the device" then search for it again, find it, and connect.  As soon as I turn either the stereo off, turn the iPhone off, or switch modes on the stereo (to CD mode, radio, etc) it loses the connection and does not pick it up again.  It still shows up in my list of available bluetooth devices, but when I try to connect it says "Connection Unsuccessful: Make sure '____' is turned on and in range" which of course, it is.
I bought this stereo because I am a music teacher and use my phone frequently when teaching my classes.  You can probably imagine how cumbersome it becomes when after each class if I have alternated between using my iPhone to play music or switching to CD mode, I then need to "forget the device" and follow the steps I outlined above to get it working again.
Has anyone else had this problem with the new iPhone and does anyone have a solution (I HOPE!!!!!)
    Thanks!

  • My new Mac Air continues to disconnect from WiFi after going to sleep.  When waking it up I have to manually re-connect.  How do I keep it connected?

My new Mac Air continues to disconnect from WiFi after going to sleep.  When waking it up I have to manually re-connect.  How do I keep it connected?

I had this problem too and solved it by doing a clean install. After that it was gone.
This is a drastic method since it takes quite some time to reinstall lion and all your software.
Thoughts I had why it started working after a clean install are the following:
It looked like the airport wasn't able to reconnect fast enough before the connection timed out. So what could have prevented my mac from being able to connect fast enough?
Apps that consume processor cycles. I love what I would call 'System Enhancers', little apps that enhance my workflow (Moom, Alfred, Dropbox, Default Folder etc). I'm not saying that these are the problem, they might be programmed processor friendly, but check if you have apps that consume processor cylcles. It might prevent airport from being able to reconnect quickly enough before it times out.
Mobile Config profiles. Another thought I had was that I had a mobile config 802.1X profile installed for the company were I worked. It used TTLS to connect to the corporate network. This profile might have gotten in the way.
    And a sidenote...
Routers with hardware acceleration might also be a problem. My router is a Wireless Gigabit Router 300N WL-351 and has hardware acceleration. As soon as I activate that my wifi connection keeps dropping. It is as if a Macbook Air can't handle that amount of optimisation.
That's it, hope it helps those who are still having the problem.
    Best, Jan

  • Why does my B8550 keep refusing to print saying I don't have the right paper/paper size?

I have never been so frustrated with a printer.  I have never tried using it for making pictures without having problems.  I buy HP paper and the printer still refuses to print...I get the message that I have the wrong paper or wrong paper size.  Even if I use the option "other photo paper" to try to avoid the sensor in the printer to determine what paper is being used, I still get the same message.  And I've checked and rechecked...the paper size I'm programming the printer for is the same size paper I have in the printer.
I have a pavilion g series laptop with Windows 7 64-bit operating system.  I went to the hp site to download the printer drivers.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Do you back up to iCloud?  I'm assuming so since you asked about purchasing more storage.
Check Settings > General > Usage on your iPhone and see if you really need everything you're keeping there.

    Thanks.

First, you're using a very old version of JavaMail.  Please upgrade.  Some of the properties you're setting aren't supported in that old version.
Second, you don't need the socket factory properties, get rid of them.
Finally, it looks like you're trying to connect on port 143 using SSL.  Port 143 is the non-SSL port.  That's probably not going to work.  Still, it looks like something is refusing to let you connect at all.  If you really can telnet from the same machine your program is running on to the same server machine on port 143, then you probably have some sort of firewall that's preventing your program from connecting.  Please post the entire debug output if it still fails after correcting the problems above.  (Move the setDebug call to before the getStore call.)
