AE won't sync up with my modem. please help
I have a new modem from my new cable service. When I plug my mac directly into my modem via ethernet, the internet works fine.
When I plug that ethernet cable into the AE base station and get onto that network via airport, no pages load.
I have version 5.7 firmware on my AE and all my software is up to date.
Please help!
Is this is a cable modem?
Most cable modems need to be powered down when you switch the Ethernet connection from one device to another. When the modem is powered up, it discovers the new device and will communicate with it.
Some cable modems have a reset button.
Some cable modems have a small internal battery which must be removed to do the reset.
Some cable modems must be turned off for several hours (or even overnight) to allow the equipment back at the ISP time to reset.

Won't like to what? Are you saying you can't access your camera roll from the Instagram app? Check Settings>Privacy>Photos and make sure Instagram is set to "On". You can't use the share button from a photo in your camera roll to post a picture to Instagram if that's what you're trying to do. That's not a feature of iOS.

My songs won't sync to my iPhone. Please help.
So I transfered all my songs from my PC to my MacBook via HomeSharing. I hook up my iPhone to my Mac and all my songs won't sync. Only 100 songs have synced. This is a really frustrating situation. I have tried everything. I have made sure that "Sync entire library" is checked, I have rebooted my phone, restarted my computer, everything! This really needs to be fixed. It's impossible how there is a problem like this.
hey I got one too and I was able to get throught he first part by shutting down the firewall. make sure you're offline.

Iphone won't sync ringtone-says not authorized-please help???
Hi and thanks in advance for the help.
I purchased a few ringtones. Three synced fine. My favorite choice did not. When finished syncing a pop-up said that it couldn't sync the song because I wasn't authorized to listen to it on this computer. HOWEVER, the song itself is downloaded, I can't listen to it on my computer and on my iphone, it just doesn't show up in the ringtones with the others where I really want it to be! Any ideas??? Thanks!Thought that would work, but didn't. Again, the computer does play the song, does allow the iphone to play the song BUT NOT as a ringtone. That's where the problem is. I did go in and try to authorize the computer, but as suspected, it came back saying it was already authorized. Since, it has done this with yet another song when trying to create ringtone. I don't like being charged an extra fee for the ringtone and then not being able to sync it as such. If I buy it directly from the iphone, there is no problem, but going back in to create a ringtone from a purchased song is where the problem is but only for some ringtones, not all. UGH!

The Sync starts and finsihes but no changes are made to the content on the iphone. No files transfer. Tried both wifi and cable sync.Sorry, but this doesn't work either. Thank you for the response though.
I originally tried the Manually Manage Music and Videos and even though I selected what I wanted to copy and then clicked the Sync button.....nothing gets copied over. I then tried copying over my entire library (and I expected the phone to explode since my library is HUGE) and clicked the Sync button....nothing got copied over.
I have uninstalled iTunes, reinstalled iTunes (and lost half my library thank you Apple).
I have deleted my iPhone backup.

I can sync movies, pictures, apps - no problem whatsoever. But music? Forget it.
I hate the iPhone and I won't recommend it to ANYONE. All I wanted was an all-in-one device to make my life easier and this is NOT IT! This should not be this hard and as far as I'm concerned, Apple failed BIG TIME. -

Typekit won't sync fonts with my Adobe ID. Any solution? I've selected to use fonts on Typekit on my desktop, but each time I have to re-link my Adobe ID, and the fonts don't sync. I have the Creative Cloud app running. Any help really appreciated.

I want to sync gmail contact with address book.
For this i goto preference in address book and select "sync with google".
I put my gmail details.
However, the sync does not happen.
Please help.You should have signed in with that address in the first place, but there is a workaround: go to System preferences>Mail, Contacts@ Calendars and add your @me.com address as an account there.

Has your carrier been having issues with Call Display? Do the telephone numbers come up when people call, or does it just show 'Unknown Number' or 'Blocked' ?

No it doesn't. Sometimes it make a sound that it should when connecting but that is it. Never actually charges or syncs. And it is a brand new cord.

If you Restore using last computer you synced to the password will be removed and you can restore the last backup on your computer, which includes your camera roll.
If you enabled Photo Stream in iCloud your photos are in Photo Stream.
If you had installed one of the many apps that can upload photos to a photo sharing site and had used it you will have your photos.
If you have done none of these things you are out of luck. The phone comes with many tools to preserve content, but you have to use them. -

Then restore the iPod. First from backup and if problem persists, restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

Sounds like you can't update your device. You don't mention an error that it gives you. Take a look at both of these articles to troubleshoot.

If you started your device in recovery mode by mistake, restart it to exit recovery mode. Or you can just wait—after 15 minutes the device will exit recovery mode by itself.

Since you have already done some sort of reset on your Airport Express, you might as well make sure it was a "hard reset" - follow the instructions for a hard reset found at:

Since your Mac is running Leopard, you need to configure the Airport Express using the Airport Utility found in the Applictions->Utilities folder. You cannot install the old software that was supplied on the CD you got with the Airport Express.
In future - if you do something bad with network settings on your Mac, do NOT try to fix it with the Airport Utility. The Airport Utility is only used to configure the Airport Express - and since the problem you have created is on the Mac and not the Airport Express, there is no need to be using the Airport Utility and especially there is no need to be resetting the Airport Express.

Just started using Elements 8. Imported a short video from Panasonic SDR-S26 which produces MPEG-2. After a few seconds the sound disappears completely. The sound is there when I play the video in Windows Media Player. Any ideas?
