AE11 AVCHD 1080p video support for Panasonic Lumix FZ200 - no audio on videos.

I have jsut installed Adobe Elements 11 trail edition with latest updates on Win 7 64-bit.   I purchased a new camera Panasonic DMC-FZ200 which does 1080p video and stores file in AVCHD video format on the SD card.  I imported my photos/video first time from my new camera and AVCHD video files are playing ok but there is no sound coming from the video.
Importing them into Windows 7 and using local windows playback - it works perfect.
What is wrong with AE11? Or what to tweak...
Long time user of AE since version 3.

Are you dealing with a PAL or NTSC project. For now I will assume NTSC.
As Hunt has suggested, transfer your video from the camera memory card to a computer hard drive location.
Using Premiere Elements 11 Windows Add Media, import the video file into the opened new project to get it into Project Assets and from there dragged to the Timeline Expert view. Then go to Edit Menu/Project Setting and determine if the project settings reflect the properties of your 1080p60 footage.
In the Premiere Elements workspace, do you see waves in Audio 1 content? If so, go to Edit Menu/Preferences/Audio Hardware and ASIO settings to assure that everything that needs to be enabled is enabled.
If the situation remains the same, waves in the Audio 1 content, but no sound at playback of the Timeline in the Edit Mode monitor, then try deleting the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file

and in the 11.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete.
Make sure that you are working with Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active.
Please let us know if any of the above helped or whether the situation remains the same for your Panasonic footage in Premiere Elements 11 tryout, that is, video displayed but no audio heard and/or seen on Audio 1.
By the way, you are in the Expert view (not Quick view)?
Thanks.

  • How do I get RAW Support for Panasonic Lumix L10 camera?

Aperture 2.1 still does not support Panasonic Lumix L10 RAW nor jpegs (Adobe 4.3 RAW plug-in already does). Is there a workaround? Any help?

    Baseline DNG support
Shooting RAW on a camera or camera back not natively supported by Mac OS X? Aperture lets you work with DNGs created from the RAW files generated by most cameras, increasing its breadth of support.

  • LightRoom Support For Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000 camera/lens

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000 has been listed as a supported camera since at least LightRoom 5.6 and the equivalent Adobe Camera Raw version.
I have both LR 5.7 and LR CC2015.  In the Develop Module, Lens Correction area, there is no Panasonic camera/lens listed in the drop-down list of Profiled cameras in order to enable profile corrections.
LR does display the Panasonic RAW files without having to convert to another format, but can't apply lens-specific corrections due to its non-listing in that area.
Why is it not listed and can I get it listed somehow?

I have both LR 5.7 and LR CC2015.  In the Develop Module, Lens Correction area, there is no Panasonic camera/lens listed in the drop-down list of Profiled cameras in order to enable profile corrections.
That's probably correct. The lenses from many cameras are not profiled by Adobe. It may be (I'm not sure about your camera) that the lens corrections are already applied by the camera, and so no additional corrections are needed in Lightroom.

  • Support for Panasonic Lumix GF1

When will apple be supporting the Lumix GF1 camera? At the moment the raw files will not open in aperture. Does anyone else have this camera and what software are you using to open raw file.

The best way to get a DNG file from a GF1 into Aperture is documented at http://punainenkala.livejournal.com/588.html. However, there are some things to be aware of. Since Aperture does not understand the micro four-thirds lens correction, the picture will turn out rather differently to how it would be rendered by applications such as Capture One or Lightroom. There is a Lightroom 3 beta that you can run right now which properly supports the GF1. I can't say that I like Adobe's interface (or their price-gouging in the UK) but at least they support the camera.
I'm hoping that Apple will produce a new version of Aperture that does support the micro four-thirds cameras, but I can't say that it is looking too promising.

  • No RAW support for Panasonic Lumix G3 - Please Help!

    Hi All,
Apologies if this has been covered but I have searched and could not find a similar question.
I've just upgraded my camera from a Lumix GF-1 to the new Lumix G3. I am very happy with the camera but I cannot import RAW files into Aperture 3. JPEGs are fine and I can see the preview of the RAW files (i.e. before they are imported) but I get the "Unsupported File Format" message when I actually import.
I'm a bit of a novice with these things so help would be a . It took me ages to learn Aperture and build up my preset library! Is this the type of issue that will be resolved ina  future software update?
    Help please!

I own G3 just a few days and I'm pleasantly surprised. I have previously shot at foveon for years, but my common sense prevailed, after the publication of SD1 prices. G3 is a good purchase, so far it seems to me ... I will see the result after several months. it makes me quite a new experience to work with such a small camera. my first impression is really great.

  • Does  PSE 12 and PSE 13 support Panasonic Lumix Fz200 raw files?

    Yes.
See that FAQ: Photoshop Elements FAQ List

The latest raw support has been released just two days ago, so it probably will be at least a month or longert till the next release. The list of currently supported cameras is here:

  • When is LR5 going to add support for the Lumix DMC-LX100?

Is there a date for the release of LR support for the Lumix DMC-LX100?

Anyone who knows is not allowed to say. And anyone who gives you a date doesn't know. Adobe doesn't make announcements about new versions in advance.

  • Support for Panasonic GH4 RAW (RW2) Files?

Any word on support for Panasonic GH4 RAW (RW2) files? They load into Aperture (and Photoshop, too) with the dreaded "unsupported image type" alert.

The GH4 comes with a software disc that includes SILKYPIX Developer Studio 4.1 SE for Mac & PC. Installing the software seems to also install the Panasonic Raw 2 Image Plugin. Once the software was installed, I was able to open the RW2 files shot with the GH4 in iPhoto, Lightroom 5 and Preview. After SILKYPIX Developer Studio 4.1 SE is installed, the RW2 preview images also appear in Finder.
I was not able to find the software on the Panasonic web site, so if you are installing on a new Mac without a CD/DVD drive, you'll need to use Remote Disc.

    RAW SUPPORT FOR PANASONIC FZ38
I have installed the Camera Raw plug-in 5.6 as decribed on the Adobe web site (Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-ins/CS3) manually (version 5.6 09/12/09). Although this RAW is listed on the web site as being with Camera Ra 5.6, the RAW of this Panasonic (RW2) it does not appear within the "Bridge" program listing of associations. The flies CAN NOT be opened in either Bridge OR PhotoElements 6.0
Perhaps it has been left out by error. Help please. Thank you.

You may need to check you used the correct download for Elements rather than creative suite. To check for the plug-in open Elements - Full Edit and go to Help > About Plug-IN > Camera raw and you should see the version of ACR installed. Your Panasonic needs version 5.6.0.148 If you don’t see it, or you have an earlier version than 5.6, use one of the following links to download ACR.

  • IPhoto does not import HD video/MTS files for Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5.

Hello, everyone. I'm using iPhoto '11 on an iMac i7. I recently bought the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5, which records HD video (AVCHD Lite). When I insert the memory card into my iMac, it recognizes and imports all photos. However, the videos are left on the memory card, and I cannot even view them in iPhoto. When looking directly in the memory card, I can see the videos (they are MTS files), but nothing will play them. Is there other software I must install to be able to view/edit these video files. I'd like to see them in iPhoto, and then edit them in iMovie like I was able to with my standard definition camera. Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks.

I have the same camera as you. You can import the files, but you have to convert them manually first, witch takes a couple of secounds.
    1. Download and install the automator script from this blog and put it in your dock http://blog.sharkus.com/2010/04/avchd-lite-iphoto-importing.html
    2. locate the folder /Private/AVCHD/BDMV/STREAM on your memory card
    3. Drag your desired videofile (e.g. 000001.mts) on the automator script you put in your dock in step 1.
    4. whait (a couple of secounds, depending file size)
    5. Drag your new videofile (e.g. 000001.mts.m4v) to iphoto
    6. Finished
Do not try to convert more than two files a once, then the script doesn't work properly.
I hope apple will include support for mts-files very very soon!!
