AE2220 no power, just black screen.

I opened up my AE2220 to clean the fan. After I closed it up again it doesn't work anymore.
It starts up, the blue led lights up, the fan runs, but the screen stays black and I have no power in my USB ports as well.
Can anybody tell me what to do?
Thanks in advance!!

If you have no video how can you say the displays are fine?  Were they tested on another machine?
What kind of monitor(s)?
How many?
What video connection(s) are you using, i.e., DVI or mini displayport?
Is the video card fan running (I've had a history of failing 5870 video card fans -- two so far)?
Are any diagnostic leds lit inside?

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

  • Capture is just black screen

just got fce 4. using sony camcorder to capture. capture area says VTR OK, and controls allow play, stop shuttle---thats working fine, but when i CAPTURE NOW, i just get a black screen. saw other posts that suggested setting view>video to canvas. did that. still black screen. what am i missing?

Do you mean that whilst you are supposedly capturing, the capture screen is black ?
Also you give no details about your computer, camera, how FCE is configured (Easy Setups etc.) and exactly what you are doing.
A black screen is not common and without more details it is unlikely anyone will be able to work out where you are going wrong.
Have you forgotten to rewind the tape and are capturing from the empty tape past the last shot ?

Yesterday my laptop which was running just fine, went to sleep and I couldn't revive it.  When I turn it on the fans start, the hard drive initializes then stops, the DVD starts and stops then the fans turn off and that's it.  Black screen the entire time.  Battery or AC Adapter makes no difference.  The clock light flashes amber then red.  I always have the AC Adapter plugged in.

  • Black screen after mavericks update? Macbook seems to be on fine (Volume works, can open itunes and hit play on keyboard etc) But just black screen.

    Hey,
I have a big problem, and here is the story!
About 6 months to a year ago, I had water damage onto the macbook pro, it completely didn't work for ages, however yesterday I thought I might as well try it again, and it worked! I was super happy that the laptop worked completely fine!
However, in system properties it was only saying it has the intel chip, not the nvidia one, so I thought maybe the graphics card was broken from the water damage? I was not too sure.
I then went to upgrade to mavericks, as soon as the update finished, black screen! From the second I turn on the notebook its black, no cursor no nothing, the PC turns on fine, I can type my password, then search for itunes, hit play on the keyboard and music plays. So its literally just a pure black screen. I try to hold CMD-R when restarting the notebook and nothing, pure black screen the screen never comes on at all!
    Thanks all.

Connect the MBP to a monitor.  If the monitor fails to produce an image, the GPU is suspect.  If the monitor produces an image, the display or the display connection is faulty.
    Ciao.

  • Exporting "Youtube HD" Preset results in no video just black screen

    Hello,
I am a new user to Premiere CS5.  I made a short video and would like to put it online in HD for youtube and vimeo.  I shot the footage using a Canon DSLR t2i in HD at 24fps.
I am trying to export it in order to upload it to youtube and I tried to the preset under H.264 that is called Youtube HD.  When it finished I went to watch the video and it was just a black screen but the audio worked fine.  The Export video box is checked so it is not that.
I exported using Quicktime Format but the quality was a little worse.  I am now trying HDTV format to see how that turns out.
Is there something I can do to make the Youtube HD preset work correctly?  I imagine that's the best option for uploading to youtube.
    Thanks!

    Thanks for replying =)

  • Pavilion g6t wont boot after bios update now just black screen please help!

I downloaded an update for the bios for my pavilion g6t-1d00 laptop running windows 7 64 bit. It started acting kind of funny but I didnt think anything of it til I tried to boot it up the next day and all I got was a black screen and a orange led light on the f12 button for the internet and the caps lock button after blinking afew times started the dredded two times every couple of seconds. I tried the windows key+B key power key, no luck. I cant access anything because I have no monitor and I'm at my wits end. I refuse to wipe my hard drive and start over even if I could! I cant access hp tools or manager or anything, please someone has to have a solution!

    @Fuschia4me,
    1.       You will have to use another computer
    2.       Access the HP.com site with the BIOS updates available here is the link
    3.       You want to select the F.36 BIOS version
    4.       When you click on the update then click download and it will ask you to save or run, you want to save to a flash drive
    5.        Once done insert the flash drive into your laptop
    6.       Turn the computer on and press the windows and B key like before
If the process doesn’t work the first time I would try at least 2 more times.
Please respond back at your earliest convenience.
    Thanks

  • [SOLVED] UEFI with gummiboot: somtimes (!) just black screen

    Hi,
since two days I'm trying to get UEFI work on my Lenovo T420. The problem is that there's only a black screen when activating the "Arch Linux" entry in gummiboot if I have not plugged in the installation medium (as a USB drive). If it's inserted sytemd starts booting but stops at a certain point complaining there are starting jobs running on /dev/sdc (the USB drive); then I get to the rescue shell. If it's not inserted there's just a black screen. To start the system I have to leave the USB drive plugged in and fastly remove it when systemd starts booting after selecting "Arch Linux" in gummiboot. I don't know why, but the system does boot then.
This is what I have done:
In BIOS I changed the settings that it's booting with UEFI "and" BIOS at least trying first BIOS and then UEFI. I followed the installation instructions of the Beginner's Guide (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Beginners%27_Guide) installing a system with LVM (ensuring that the install medium is booted in UEFI). I followed the recommendations of https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 3#p1240883 concerning partitioning. This is the setup I have:
    niklaas@len-t420-arch ~ % lsblk --output +UUID
NAME MAJ:MIN RM SIZE RO TYPE MOUNTPOINT UUID

    (/dev/sda is Windows 7)
Please note that I /dev/sdb1 is the EFI System Partition and there's also another partition (/dev/sdb2) I created just in case I want to use a separate /boot partition. (Currently there's syslinux on it because I was experimenting whether I get the system to boot normaly, which means without the USB drive, by using Legacy BIOS and syslinux. But I was not successful: Screen also stays black.) This is what /boot looks like and the contents of /boot/loader/entries/arch.conf and /boot/loader/loader.conf:
    niklaas@len-t420-arch ~ % tree /boot
    /boot
    ├── EFI
    │   ├── BOOT
    │   │   └── BOOTX64.EFI
    │   └── gummiboot
    │   └── gummibootx64.efi
    ├── initramfs-linux-fallback.img
    ├── initramfs-linux.img
    ├── loader
    │   ├── entries
    │   │   └── arch.conf
    │   └── loader.conf
    └── vmlinuz-linux
    niklaas@len-t420-arch ~ % cat /boot/loader/entries/arch.conf
    title Arch Linux
    linux /vmlinuz-linux
    initrd /initramfs-linux.img
    options root=UUID=349e5a88-72ca-40cb-8e44-0b67b85ffee4 rw
    niklaas@len-t420-arch ~ % cat /boot/loader/loader.conf
    timeout 3
    default arch
Additionally to the strange USB-drive-needs-to-be-plugged-in issue there is another one: Because there's a Windows 7 installation (unfortunately I need it) on /dev/sda with Truecrypt I decided to install two bootloaders: one is on /dev/sda and the other one on /dev/sdb. So I can "manually" switch between operating systems by using the boot manager that is provided by the BIOS of the motherboard which makes it possible to change boot priority quite simply. After the installation of gummiboot there was (of course) another entry created, so there are three:
    1. Linux Boot Manager
    2. ~first SSD (with Windows; /dev/sda)
    3. ~second SSD (with Arch Linux; /dev/sdb)
When I select the first entry, even the USB-drive-trick does not work. There just resides the black screen. This I do not understand at all because, as already described above:
If I select the third option, gummiboot gets loaded and I can select "Arch Linux". Then, as already mentioned, there are three options: (a) USB-drive is inserted > I plug it off immediately after systemd starts > system boots (b) USB-drive is inserted > I don't (!) plug it off > systemd complains about starting job running on /dev/sdc > I get the rescue shell (c) USB-drive is not (!) inserted > I just get a black screen.
I hope the issue I have is quite understandable. Otherwise, please ask and I'll try my best to clarify things. Any help is really appreciated,
    Niklaas
    niklaas@len-t420-arch ~ % uname -a

srs5694 wrote:My hunch is that you're running into the bug that's under discussion here. If so, you may be able to get it working more reliably by switching boot managers (to rEFInd or to the version of rEFInd that's built with GNU-EFI) or boot loaders (to GRUB or ELILO).
OK. I decided to use syslinux and installed it from the AUR. After installation was successfull, I copied all files as described in https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/UE … LINUX_6.xx to /boot/syslinux and ran command
    # efibootmgr -c -d /dev/sdb -p 1 -l /EFI/syslinux/syslinux.efi -L "syslinux"
to create an entry. And I could just successfully boot without USB-drive. Thank you.
cfr wrote:I don't know why it would work at all in this case but are you sure that you can specify root= like that on the command line? Rather than e.g. root=/dev/VolGroup00/lvroot, for example?
I guess, I also tried this before having the same outcome.
But I still do not understand what's happening when I select my second SSD; because there's still gummiboot loaded and I can still boot the system with the USB-drive. Does anybody know what's happening there? I'm totally clueless why the system is somehow accessing the flash drive?!

  • HT4060 reset and deleted data on my used a used ipad2 never completes, just black screen.

Hello all, ive just purchased a used ipad2 wifi 3g model..i have tried to reset and deleted data but it sit's in  black screen for hrs with tiny rotating circle in centre.  After 5hrs I unplugged it and restarted it but is back to previouse owners setting

I have used Firefox since Firefox 0.7 or 0.9 but may have been 0.5. Seems like it was called something else but my memory is not that great.
Before that I used Seamonkey and other variations of Mozilla. Before that I used Netscape. I even have/had a CD that I sent off for with the different releases going all the way back to the beginning (I think).
I was a Mozilla crusader. When I saw someone using IE I would talk to them like they must be dumb until they switched haha. I have converted everyone who is close to me to firefox except my wife and I think she uses IE to irritate me.
I work on the Internet. I spend no less than 12 hours and up to 18 hours a day with my fingers touching a keyboard that is connected to a computer or phone that is interacting with the Internet. I have Firefox on my Android phone, two laptops and my desktop. All of them crash constantly.
When it crashes I lose work and time. Not to mention getting big headaches.
I am very appreciative for the browser and yes I have made money donations. Not saying that makes me good. I look at it more like I am paying for great software.
I never thought the day would come that I would say no more to Firefox. The day has come.
When Firefox first came out it was small, good and fast. As time has went on it has become big, bad and slow. I feel like I am turning my back on a good friend but i can't take the crashing any longer.
I am using Chrome now. Dang I hate to use anything google. Since I can't make my own browser I have to use what's out there and Chrome is fast. Sort of like Firefox used to be... except of course Chrome has all those phone home goodies.
I won't be trying to convert anyone to Chrome but neither will I try to convert them to Firefox.
I am not trying to start a flame war or anything here. As nuts as it sounds I felt like I should tell Firefox bye.
Bye bye Firefox. it was good knowing you

  • Intermittent Power Outages - Black Screen

    My screen went black.
I reset my PRAM, which did nothing, and removed the battery and reset my POWER MANAGER, which fixed it temporarily. Long enough for the computer to come back on. But then, it died again. You can hear it go on and off and on and off...dying...off and on...black screen...and then it will come back and then die...and now I am dying... What is going on?
    Anyone? Help!

If you still under warranty, visit apple store and let them check it for you.
But before that, I would back up the data there and give it another shot by reset PRAM and PMU, reinstall the OS X and update to the most recent firmware and updater, and repair permission after that. And run hardware test to check logic board and memory aswell.
IF the problem persist, then I think you should contact apple, for maybe something bad with the logic board that need to be replaced.
    Good Luck,

    Turn on your iMac.
Press and hold the Command(⌘)-Option-P-R keys
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.
