AEBS without a valid IP number

I'm trying to set up an AEBSn connected to a Motorola cable model (Comcast) via the WAN port, and with a Mac Pro connected to one of the LAN ports on the AEBS. I have a MacBook and an older PowerBook G4 that I want to use wirelessly.
When I try to set up the basestation with the Mac Pro, I get an amber circle in Airport Utility. Clicking on it tells me that the basestation could not establish a valid IP number. I know that the AEBS is seeing the cable modem because it's getting DHCP information from it that I didn't enter (Comcast information).
It doesn't seem to be a problem with the cable modem, because If I connect my Mac Pro directly to the cable modem, and reboot the modem, I can get online no problem. It's only when I connect the AEBS(through the WAN port; the circle of dots icon) to the modem do I have problems.
I have no idea how to solve this. I've tried resetting the AEBS to factory defaults countless times. I've tried rebooting the modem countless times, and rebooting the Mac Pro countless times. Another interesting fact is that If I swich the AEBS to bridge mode, the Mac Pro can get online, but not the wireless computers.
I've tinkered with this for many hours. Hopefully it's something simple that I've overlooked. Please help!

Here's an interesting follow-up...I borrowed an AEBS (the one that looks like a UFO). I set it up exactly the same way as the AEBS 802.11n...It works perfectly. The Mac Pro connects, and both wireless laptops connect.
Any guess what could be wrong with the 802.11n AEBS?

Valid Serial Number, but Wrong Product?

After an hour long chat with a technical support person yesterday I am still not any closer to fixing this problem. Can someone here please point me in the right direction?
I have a valid serial number for Design and Web Premium Pro CS6. Because of a hard drive problem I had to download and reinstall, which I did without any problem, but when I was prompted for my serial number I got this error:
The pull down menu you see here does not include Design and Web Premium Pro, so the activation stalls at that point. I double checked my account page to make sure I had the right product name and serial number, and I do.
The technical support person told me to download CS6 again, and I did that -- I downloaded the Design and Web Premium Pro package, and then the same problem popped up. Any thoughts on how to resolve this would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Bought PSE13, the box has activation code but it says enter a valid serial number

I bought PSE 13 in box with a CD. It has an activation code but it says to get a serial number on www.adobe. When I open my account, it says add a new product then enter code, I enter the 24 digit code (alpha and numbers) i have on a card in the package but it says the number is not valid. Thanks, unfortunately, I already followed that procedure as it was written on the box containing the disk.
A card inside the box said : obtaining the serial number : 1) go to ... www.adobe.com/go/getserial (OK done) 2) use the code joined (a code included is written "ACTIVATION CODE") 3) note the serial number that will appear 4) use the serial number.
The procedure shows : Register your product at Adobe (OK I clic) then it opens my account, it says (plus) + Register new product : (OK, I clic) then appears : "Enter your product serial number, since I dont have the SERIAL number, that I'm supposed to receive, I enter the Activation code : 55Y3- C4A2 etc maybe the problem is this, but I doubt : there is a 4 digit like this : 78O(O with a cross bar)D and next - 6F80 (look like zero, without the cross bar)- then 4 other digits. then it shows in blue color : Please enter a valid SERIAL number. I have tried 0 (zero) and o (letter O) nothing works. What I dont understand is that it is supposed to give me the serial number and why is it asking me ? I tried different manners

View data in client B from client A in the same SID without a valid logon?

Hi Folks
We are planning on upgrading our 4.6C system to ERP 6.0, and are initialy considering having two clients in the same sandbox SID. One would be for the developers to perform code remediation checks (client A), and one would contain a copy of production data for performing testing of functionality over live data (client B).
Would it be possible to view data in client B from client A in the same system without a valid logon to client B or RFC connection to client B from client A? For example via the use on an ABAP program to SQL the database?
I know one can use transactions like SM30/SM31 to view, compare, and adjust data between clients, but this requires an RFC connection and valid logon to the target client.

Short answer: yes.
If someone has the right to write and execute ABAP reports on the system he is able to access the data of all clients. So I don't think that this setup is advisable. Don't mix development and production data in one system.

HT1689 Can I set up an ITunes account without a credit card number?

We are using IPads in a school setting and having trouble setting up the ITunes account without a credit card number. We are only allowed to download free apps, the school is not paying for any, therefore we do not need to have a credit card for purchases. Is there a way to get around this so that we can still download the free apps onto the IPads?

Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is critical. Note that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.
You will of course not be able to get anything other than the free apps without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)

I need to reinstall my Acrobat 9. Have a disc and serial number, but when I enter the number I am told it is not a valid serial number. Checked my registration for CS 5 and that is the number. Now what?

If it's a CS5 number you need to install with your Creative Suite disks, NOT an Acrobat download.

If you had it on a laptop that crashed and you threw away, it is still considered as activated on that machine. YOu should contact Adobe by chat or by phone and have them deactivate for you.

You want to generate Alphanumeric Serial Number that is possible by following Enhancement for Serial Numbers:
Pls find here some details about generating alphanumeric serial numbers as below :
You can generate alphanumeric serial number with the following BADI / Customer Exit:
Name of Enhancement : IQSM0001
Name of Function Module Exit: EXIT_SAPLIPW1_001
Name of Include : ZXQSMU01
ZXQSMU01:
This user exit can be used to create the serial numbers automatically for material of a production order. Number of serial numbers generated will be equal to the total number of quantity. The purpose behind development of this user exit was to attach prefix in each serial number generated.
so as per your requirement you can generate serial number like ABC0001 etc.
Process Steps:
For exit: EXIT_SAPLIPW1_001
1. Get serial number profile for a material in respective plant.
2. Check if the profile is u2018XYZu2019.
3. If profile is u2018XYZu2019 generate the serial numbers for the given quantity of material in production order.
General Program Structure
For exit: EXIT_SAPLIPW1_001
1. Get the serial number profile using function module 'MARC_SINGLE_READ' for a material.
2. Check if the profile is u2018XYZu2019.
3. If the serial number profile is u2018XYZu2019 then generate the serial numbers for the given production order quantity of a material.
4. Concatenate ABC as a prefix to the all generated serial numbers
Provide above details reg. implementation BADI / Enhancement to your ABAPer and go ahead.
You can implement above Enhancement in CMOD.

Why does Acrobat installation on new PC not accept valid product number?

I bought Acrobat 8 in 2011 and have a valid product number. I just bought a new PC with Windows 8. I downloaded Acrobat 5 from the Adobe website. When it asked for the product ID, I put in the number, and got a response that the number is invalid. I copied the number directly from the purchase record on Adobe.
What is the problem? How can I correct it?

Flex Builder 3 forgets valid serial number, constant prompt

Hi all,
I installed Flex Builder 3 on a Windows XP 32 bit machine under one user account. It came up and worked great for several days. Later on, I made another user account and tried to use Flex Builder 3. Each time it starts up it says my trial period is expired and I need to enter a serial number. At that point I re-enter my serial and it accepts it as valid. However, as soon as I move to build a project or do practically anything, the program re-prompts that my trial period is expired and I need to re-enter a valid serial.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Flex Builder a number of times, but that does not help this issue. I have deleted the file c:\Documents and Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Flex\license.properties, but that does not fix the issue. Deleting this file gives me a new trial period and the same behavior of accepting and "forgetting"/"ignoring" my valid serial number. One note, this file does contain my serial number and the date and time that the program most recently accepted it as a valid serial number.
Are there registry keys that perhaps did not get unset or other "magic files" that I need to delete to completely reset the serialization process? It is very frustrating that it is not accepting and "remembering" the valid license key.
