AEGP Plugin Media IO Plugin error 400e0004
I get this error when I try to
render a FLV file. Comp size is 720x1280 (portrait) square pixels and 24 fps.
Using Windows 7 64-bit and Adobe AE CS4 (32-bit)
What is odd is that if I open Adobe media Encoder and drop in the same comp with the same settings, it works. I just should not have to do the extra steps in my opinion.
I remember talk of a bug, where FLV output would not work beyond 1080 pixels in either dimension. This should have been fixed in the 9.0.2 update, but then again it may not or be only half fixed (in one dimension, that is). If so, your current workflow would be the only way to circumvent the issue...

AE GP Plugin Media IO Plugin Error - CS4
Certain codec choices in render are giving me this error - MPEG 2 being one of them. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Penny
64 Bit Vista
NVidia GeForce 9600 GT
8 Gigs RamPenny: The most likely reason why you would get this error is: You pick a distribution format for export (H264, MPEG-2, Flash Video, etc) that takes you to the Adobe Media Encoder window. There, you set up things from a preset that requires a certain frame size for export... but that frame size doesn't match the frame size in AE's own Output Module (in the Render Queue). I personally hope that could be automated someday, because it is cumbersome and confusing. But meanwhile here's what you should do - when you pick settings in AME, you'll see a comment field (see attached picture). That comment instructs you how you should change yourself the frame size or stretch settings in AE's Output Module when you return to it from the AME window, so they match the required settings.

How to reinstall plugin Media Core CFHD AVI importer 32 and MOV importer 32.pm?
I instralled the After Effects trial program and it was running okay for a few days, then I was hit with a warning to reinstall plugins. How to reinstall plugin Media Core CFHD AVI importer 32 and MOV importer 32.pm?
Has anyone figure this out?
I started getting this after installing GoPro Studio 2.
Uninstalling it and even deleting the plugins manually didn't work, and neither did reinstalling AE.
All I could get was stop getting the error message at start-up but the problem is that any .AVI file that I import only plays audio, no video.
Please, any help appreciated. -

MY FRIEND SUGGESTED THIS TO ME
I HAVE TRIED THIS
BUT ITS WASTE
I CANT EVEN FIND ANYTHING AS
WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER
I have had the same problem since I installed Firefox 4.0.
Thank you for letting us know that The RealPlayer plugin conflict, was the source of this problem.
Another way to fix this (for good) is doing the following:
1) Click on "Tools">Options"
2) Click on the "Applications" tab
3) Search in the "Content Type" column, all the applications that start with the words "Windows Media." Click on the content that is listed to the right of each application's name and choose "Use Windows Media Player (default)."
By doing this, Firefox will avoid using the Windows Media Player plugin and will open the corresponding application directly with Windows Media Player.
I just did this and is working perfectly. Try it and let me know how it works for you.I just saw this posted to the mozilla.support.firefox newsgroup in the topic,<br>

widevine media transformer plugin
I have been on several forums and the consensus seems to be that it take 2-6 months for the widevine developers to put an update to their plugin that will be compatible with firefox, This update allows customers of Dish Network, and Amazon Prime, to view online video of movies and Television shows they offer. Dish Network is a major provider, and has nation wide coverage areas so the plugin for mozilla firefox users is vital. I would rather not have to go to Internet Explorer for even this one site. I have been a faithful Mozilla user since 2007.Self-hosted add-ons have to be fixed for every new version of Firefox. Two to 6 months for updating an add-on is ridiculous for a program which has a new version release every '''6 weeks'''. If that extension was hosted at the official Add-ons website, Mozilla would take take care of "bumping" that extension, as long as it keeps working, for every new version of Firefox, as the new version is released.
See this thread from yesterday, I posted instructions about how to "bump" that extension for Firefox 7.<br />
https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/884484
You can also use this extension to "bump" an already installed extension for compatibility with the currently installed version of Firefox. <br />

I have a macbook from early 2008, and when I sign onto safari I get an error message for fast browser search plugin. After that error comes up my computer freezes and I have to force it to shut down. Does anyone know what that means and how I can fix it?
Means you have an incompatible Safari extension installed. Look in the /Home/Library/Safari/Extensions/ folder for the offending plug-in and delete it.

I am sick and tired of going to 3rd party websites and install plugin that have malware and virus. Need to have this Windows Media player plugin from Firefox directly.
Thanks, but again, I'm either missing something or Firefox is being finicky. I play videos on Apple.com just fine thru Firefox, so the QuickTime plugin is apparently working. Of course, I didn't try every video on Apple.com so it's possible I picked the few that worked. And with some serious massaging I've actually been able to get Firefox to play low resolution .mp4 videos. Videos rendered at 256x144 display in the HTML5 video player in Firefox. Videos rendered at resolutions greater than 256x144 do not display in Firefox. At least, these are the results I'm getting....I suspect others may be getting different results.
This isn't a file size thing because a 512x288 .mp4 video is actually less than 1/2 the size of the lower resolution 256x144 .mp4 video, and yet Firefox does not display a 512x288 .mp4 video.....again, for me anyway. This is beyond confusing, but thanks for the suggestions. You are correct - Firefox does NOT support .mp4 videos (most resolutions) in the HTML5 video player....for some unknown reason! -
Windows Media Player plugin doesn't work with the beta version of Mozilla.
Make it easier. C:/Program/Mozilla Firefox (the old installation) and copy the entire folder "plugins". Now go to the path of the Firefox beta installation and paste the folder. All the old add ons will work. Bye

I have tried the suggestions on the help and troubleshooting pages including uninstalling and reinstalling plugins and Firefox 4. disabling the pop up blocker did not help either.

Firefox 21 does notrecognize Windows Media Player plugin

I am a regular watcher of the Israeli TV at http://www.iba.org.il/. This was working fine until a couple of weeks ago, when I started getting prompts that a plugin is missing. When I click on the prompt to get the plugin, I am told it is unavailable and I am asked to get Windows Media Player 11 plugin manually. I downloaded and installed it a couple of times, but it does not appear in the FF plugin list.
There have been no changes on my laptop.

Another problem seems to be that each first search I do on Google, I am getting some page that is trying to sell me something; the following searches are OK. I figured some malware/hijack but several security programs have not found anything.
Please advise. Thanks. There has been a change in where Firefox searches for plugins and the plugins folder in the Firefox program folder is no longer scanned for plugins, so Firefox won't find them anymore if they are installed in the plugins folder instead of the "browser\plugins" folder that Firefox now scans.
You can set the plugins.load_appdir_plugins pref to true on the about:config page to make Firefox scan the "<install>/plugins/" directory for plugins like the WMP plugin (np-mswmp.dll).
You can alternatively move plugins from "<install directory>\plugins\" to "<install directory>\browser\plugins\" to make Firefox find them again.

Need Windows Media Player Plugin for Windows 8
When I go thru the directions to install the plugin it only shows up to Windows 7. I have Windows 8. The media player works fine thru Internet Explorer, but I'd rather use Firefox.
Problem - I have an important viewing of my daughter's 3d/4d ultrasound this Saturday and I don't want to mess up my laptop by installing the wrong version and not being able to view it at all.
Thanks. Those instructions should work for Windows 8 as well.
Did you try to install the plugin, assuming that you've already installed the WMP?

hey I'm getting an error when I'm using an AU plugin its saying"Host Error: illegal midi databyte2 an my logic crashes any tips? thanks
There is a minor issue with Logic where Logic sends corrupt midi data
to plugins when recording in loopmode (looptool),
we've released a hotfix for ElectraX 1.2 as well as fixed this in
ElectraX 1.3 (currently in beta).
ElectraX 1.3 is set for release in early July and if I remember
correct the current ElectraX demo also has the fix included,
so redownloading/reinstalling the demo should take care of it.
In the meanwhile another possible workaround is to switch off
loopmode when recording.
