  • SAP CRM AET- Tool - NAV_OBJECT( Application Reference)  error

I am trying to create a new DB Table using  AET tool , while creating  Prodcut ID(GUID)   Field with NAV_OBJECT( Application Refernce) I am getting length always as 1 byte instead of 16 bytes (RAW 16)  and this is causing problem . Any  suggestion please.  Same issue in while enhancing BP_head.
Please suggest me OS notes or how to get around this.

    Hi Senthil,
If you want to create the product guid field for only navigation purpose then there is no need to create that field.
if you have the Product id then you can easily get the Guid then you can navigate.
And in my knowledge RAW16 and BYTE16 are different also as product Guid field is a standard field there is no need to create another Zfield to replicate the value.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • What is the main difference between eewb and aet tool ?

    Dear all,
What is the main difference between eewb and aet? Both ways we can create fields and coming to aet is in crm 7.0 and eewb is in 6.0.when we are creating fields through eewb we should have technical knowledge but aet tool is a simple tool as a function people also can easily add the fields. I want to know is there any main difference between both these tools.
    Regards,
    Jemmi.

EEWB works from SAP GUI whereas AET works from WEB UI. AET is developed on top of the EEWB. Most the Objects are supported barring a few through AET. It's a very usefull tool for SAP CRM.
Since in CRM SAP GUI will be phased out soon, AET will be prominent. One will see lot more features in upcoming relase in AET tool.

  • Welcome to the Performance Tools Discussion!

Come here to ask questions and discuss the performance collector and analyzer tools in Sun Studio. See also http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/cc/analyzer_index.html for information on these program performance tools.

Is there a capability in collector to display statistics for only those stack traces that include a particular symbol that I specify?

  • How to add new fields in Web UI where AET is not applicable

    Hi,
We tried to add new fields using AET, but surprisingly 'Create Field' is in disabled mode in AET Configuration.
We are trying to add custom fields to the view GSTEXT/notes. But we could not do that.
what are the other possible ways to add custom fields and the required configuration for that.

  • CRM/AET Help

    Hi,
I need to add few zfields to the Sales Quotation, Service Quotation, Service Order  in SAP CRM ,
I am new to CRM and i found that AET tool in CRM can be used to enhance these tcodes.
I need the below information , can some one help me with this
    1. what are the tcodes to display Sales Quotation, Service Quotation, Service Order  in SAP CRM
    2. some documents replated to AET tool
    3. I also need to add those zfields to tables CRMD_ORDERADM_H and CRMD_ORDERADM_I , how can i do that.. is it the same way we do in ECC
    Thanks

    1. If you are using SAPGUI, all of these can be displayed with the transaction crmd_order. you need to just enter the transaction no:.
in case you are using WebUI, you need to login using the appropriate role to be able to view the resp. orders. For eg: you need SALESPRO role to view a sales order and other sales related objects.
you need SERVICEPRO to display service related objects
    and so on.
    2. For AET/Enhancements, a good place to start would be the CRM Wiki on WebClient UI.
    CRM Web Client UI Framework
    CRM/HowToEnhanceaWebUIComponentinSAP+CRM
There is also video demo of AET
    Hope the above info helps.

  • AET for CRM 7 not defaulting in the Package...[RESOLVED]

We introduced a new config/development client several weeks back and now all development/config takes place in client 010 rather than client 100. However, today is the first time that I have needed to use the AET tool to create a new field. When doing this I get to select the object that is affacted (ACCOUNT), but notice that the Package is NOT automatically populated, and, as the field is grayed out does not allow me to populate one. However, I obviously can't continue any further without a Package having been defined.
As a test, within client 010 I created a new package, thinking that maybe it was because our default package was originally created in client 100, but this did not work and still the no package was defaulted in. Plus, we have developed components and views in clilent 010 without any trouble.
Has anyone seen this particular issue before and know of a solution. I have had a quick look for an OSS note, but to no avail.
    Jason
It would seem that we needed to allow the package to be extended.
SPRO ->CRM->UI framework-> UI framework definiton->Application Enhancement Tool ->Define system settings

    See post for resolution...

  • AET for component GS_CM

    HI,
Can anybody please help with the following?
Does SAP allow to create a new field through AET for the component GS_CM, View DocList, Context Node CMDocList in EHP1?
If yes, then which is the Enhanced BO which is used for this?
If we can create our own Enhanced BO, please help with the steps.
    Thanks in advance.
Points will be awarded for appropriate answers.

    Hi Chandan,
To answer your question please check this Knowledge Base Article 1789771 - AET (Application Enhancement Tool) - missing create field button
    In this KBA says:
The observed system situation is not an error if no enhanced BO is available per default for the object type. That means that the object type is currently not supported by AET tool.
    Resolution
Check with transaction SM30 the view BSPDLCV_OBJ_TYPE
Search for the object type you want to enhance (for example BT126_APPT)
If the field Extensible BO is filled (for example with APPOINTMENT) then this field can be enhanced by AET and the button should be available
If the field Extensible BO is empty, it means AET cannot be used and does not support the object type.
Transaction AXTREG shows all Extensible BOs
    I hope that helps you.
    Best regards.

  • Can the AET be used to create a new Z table?.

I understand that new user tables can be created/changed via EEWB, but, I keep reading that in CRM 7 we should now be using the AET tool. Can I create a new user table in AET, and if so, how?.
I only know of one way to launch the AET via the WebUI, and that's via the screen configuration tool. Of course this method would only allow us to ammend an existing structure/table and not create a new one, hence my question.
    Anyone.
    Jason

As far as I know EEWB never supported Z-tables except for those related to the SAP Business Partner.  It's always been next to impossible to use the EEWB to add Z-tables for the business transaction model.
Jason can you please back your rant with some examples what the EEWB did with Z-tables that is not supported by the AET, for specific business object types.  EEWB was never used to create stand alone z-tables.  Also technically the EEWB was a big failure because it never supported currency and quantity type fields, so you could never automate your work.
I'm just little concerned that if you don't clarify your statement about the EEWB you are going to confuse people who read this thread in the future.
On another note the new tools available in EHP1 for enhancements are great and not hard to figure out.  They definitely fill some needed gaps.  Now just don't get me started about EHP1 not being in GA.
    Take care,
    Stephen

  • AET and EEWB

    Hi,
I'm new to CRM. In CRM i came to know that EEWB and AET is used to add custom fields to web UI.  Who does this - the functional team or the technical team?
    Sujatha

    Hi there,
Till CRM2007, EEWB was the only available tool to add custom fields to the Business Object.
EEWB was more on technical side as it needed the knowledge of BOL and veruify the structures etc after the addition of fields and also to execute the dependable steps for further enhancements. However, till that point also Functional Consultants were used to use EEWB and in case of a difficulty, the technical consultants was supposed to help. the BO extension was not a specific technical consultant's work but more of Functional consultant's Job but due to the technical knowledge involved in EEWB, its often redirected to a Technical Consultant.
Now, even after the field is added thought BO extension via EEWB, there were technical developments needed to make this newly added field available on UI ( Webclient/ BSP/ PCUI any sort of UI before CRM2007 web ui ) and this was definitely Technical consultant's Job.
So before CRM2007, functionals often used EEWB and give the newly added field's details to technical along with details as where to make the field available and the technical guy used to do the screeen/UI programming to make field available to the users.
With CRM2007, AET is introduced. The biggest advantage of AET is no need of technical knowledge . AET is run directly on the new WEB UI in configuration mode and you can add a new filed to the existing BOL just like a drag and drop through runing an AET wizard on the view in which you want the additional field that is not available in the present BOL.
Thus, AET completely removed the functional consultant's dependency on technical guys to add a field by BO extension . So earlier, the same work that used to take 1 to 2 days now got reduced to merely half an hour job with AET.
With CRM2007 and onwards, now functionals themselves add the fields to the UI view without any help of technical consultants. However its always recommended that a technical consultant should also be familiar with AET tool and its use.
The only advantage of EEWB over AET is that fields added through EEWB are also available for SAP GUI enhancements( Custom Fields Tab on SAP GUI ), however fields added thought AET are available only on WEB UI. You can not have them on SAP GUI screens. I will not see it as a drawback but this is merely due to the fact that SAP now recommends SAP GUI to be used only for administrative purpose and not more than that. WEB UI should be used for every thing else and thus now onwards AET will be dominant over EEWB.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Suchita

  • Mapping Z-fields of BP in CRM to ECC and vice versa

    Hi Gurus,
Z-fields for BP were created in CRM using EEWB and AET tool. These z-fields need to be transferred from CRM to ECC, standard fields like KNB1-ALTKN, KNKK-REVDB,KNKA-KLIME... etc.
Now, that these z-fields are added in the BDoc. I believe no enhancement is required on CRM.
Please guide me on how to map these z-fields from CRM to standard feilds of ECC.
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi,
Thats right! C03 best practices would be certainly helpful to you.
Few important steps for BP repllication from CRM to ECC would be
In CRM , First define your Logical destination in BD54 .
    1) SU01 Transaction to create users : create user in CRM & R/3
    2) Transaction code SM59 : Create RFC DESTINATION .. here u use the users created for reaching into R/3 from CRM
    3) transaction code: SMOEAC: ADMINISTRATION CONSOLE:-
here define Publication, subscription and site ( OLTP) , and define replication objects ( like BUPA_MAIN, BUPA_REL)
    4) define Queue: SMQR and SMQS - inbound and outbound queue /
    Que registration .
    5) check entry in R/3 side tables:- Make the proper entry into R/3 side tables in SM30
    a)CRMRFCPAR
    b)CRMPAROLTP
    c)CRMSUBTAB
    d) CRMCONSUM
These are important steps for Middleware settings between CRM & R/3
In addition to this , you need to correctly define your
    1) in CRM ,BP GROUPINGS with Internal Number range
    2) in R/3 define "Account Group" with "External Number Range" for BUSINESS PARTNER
    3) In R/3 , Mapping of CRM CLASSIFICATION with R/3 account group...e.g. Classification B for customer with ACCOUNT group of R/3
You need to also map in CRM  correctly the partner functions and R/3 Partner functions.
