.aex plugins in AE CS5 on Mac?

Hi,
I've downloaded some trial-plugins from cycore. They're in aex format.
When I drag 'n drop the plugins in the plugins-folder and I open After Effects, I get a error that AE doesn't support the plugins.
Any advice?

Waves plugins in Premiere CS5 (Mac) not loading.

I have the Waves "Masters" plugins and would like to use them in Premiere CS5 for Mac. Problem is that they do not load.
Here's what the "Plugin Loading.log" file says about it:
Scanning /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST and sub-directories
Loading /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/WaveShell-VST 8.0.vst
The registry tells us to cache so the plugin will be loaded from the cache.
The plugin is marked as Ignore, so it will not be loaded.
What does this means?

I don't know anything about Waves "Masters" plugins,
but if they're not 64bit versions they won't work.

Aperture 3, Photoshop CS5 and OnOne Plugin Suite 5.1 for Mac

Hi yall,
I mostly use Aperture 3.1.3 to manage my photos.
I got a new iMac and installed this software and recovered my Aperture Library. All is fine.
But I also installed my Adobe Creative Suite 5 Master Collection for Mac, and y OnOne Plugin Suite 5.1 for Mac and ... it doesn't work.
Aperture doesn't find either Photoshop nor OnOne as external modules.
Can anyone tell me how to force Aperture to find those modules?

Agree 100%. I have a long simmering discussion going on with Nik support about this (and the fact that the current workflow is destructive and, though it is reproducible, is not consistent from a UI POV). I'm sorry that I didn't just start w. PS and Nik's PS Suite (which I still don't own).

Hi, I have a fairly simple question. Can anyone verify that the wipe transition "sliding boxes" is available in Premiere CS5 for Mac? It wasn't in Premiere CS4 for Mac, it only featured in the Windows version....

Buying Photoshop CS5 for mac and being able to use it?

I'm a Photography student and I need to get Photoshop, though I can only just about afford around £300. I don't want to rent it through Creative Cloud because not only will it cost me far too much after the amount of time I need it for is up, but I will no longer have it when my course is finished, which seems a shame since I'll not be able to use my education there after. Anyway, I've been looking into buying CS5 for mac as a Student/Teacher version, which is in my price range and has all of the ideal tools I need and then some.
My main worry is, I don't know how it works. Will Adobe still accept the license number for an old version, or will they turn it down in the hope that I'll turn to take on their Creative Cloud malarkey? I've found a seemingly good deal on Amazon, though the occasional review describes that Adobe aren't accepting their serial numbers. Saying that, the majority of reviews say that it installs fine with little hassle, so I'm not too sure on how it would treat me. I'm in England, incase that would affect anything. Any clues anyone?

You can do almost anything in Photoshop Elements that you can do in Photoshop. There are many third party plugins, some free, that will add functionality both to Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. I use both Photoshop CS5.5 and Photoshop Elements 5, 9, and 11 on various computers. Expert Mode in Photoshop Elements is most like Photoshop.

How to upload Pixel Bender Filter to Photoshop CS5 on Mac? It installs to Utility Folder and I cant understand install from there? Haven't installed a plug in for a while!

Outbound plugin not gets loaded on mac

I am using adobe photoshop sdk CS5 on mac 10.6 snow leopard, I've build the outbound sample and copied the plugin to the import-export plugin folder. But when i am launching the photoshop application outbound menu is not showing under File->Export neither its about box.
What may be reason for this behaviour?

I would double check the PiPL property for the entrypoint. I think I had a bunch of them wrong in the early drops of the SDK and I might still have that one wrong. Double check against a plug-in that is working for you. Here is the one from Dissolve:

remove your caps database. this shows the location for cs3. make the obvious changes for cs5.

Raw support is version specific. There is no way to simply force install a new version of ACR into an older Photoshop. You need to consider upgrading or use the DNG converter.

The D610 didn't get out-of-the-box RAW support until Photoshop CC.
You can either upgrade to CC or use the DNG Converter to convert and open your DNGs in CS5.

I've downloaded the CS5 optional plugins, dragged the ContactSheetII icon into plugins folder in CS5 app folder - restarted Photoshop and still do not find the ContactSheetII plugin anywhere. Seems like it should be so easy - not today. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

Many Photoshop plug-ins have an automated installer which adds necessary data into the registry or places the files into the folder of the software. In case you have plug-ins which are standalone (.8rb, .Plugin, etc) then you should copy those files (please note that Photoshop should be closed at that moment) into the following folder: \Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\Plug-ins. The next time when you will open the main software, these plug-ins (if are compatible) will be loaded into the application and then you will be able to access them from the main window of the software. The plug-ins will be accessible from the Filter menu.
