AFAR - Recalculate Deprec. Auto run in user exist ???
Dear all,
I change the Book Deprec. then I used the T.code : AW01N.
SAP will tell me the message : manually run AFAB to adjust diff. data.
So. have any user exist .
I can insert ABAP code to AUTO. run the AFAB. before AW01n, or after Asset create (AS91) ?

We implemented Fixed Assets in SAP March 1, 2009. We set our transfer
date to 2/28/09. Our tax department has a need to make changes to the
depreciation lives and methods of assets that were capitalized in
2008. We have used the Mass Change functionality to make the changes
but can't get the depreciation to recalculate based on these new lives
and methods. Transaction code AFAR (program RAAFAR00) does not allow
us to recalculate depreciation for 2008. We found OSS Note 646691 and
applied it to our DEV system. This note allowed us to change the year
in table T093B to 2007 thus allowing the recalculation of depreciation
to take place. We then applied the note to our TST system working our
way up to PRD but the recalculation program does not do anything in
TST. We don't get an error message or anything it just does not
recalculate the depreciation at all. Is there another note that I need
to apply in order to get this Note working correctly.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

According to your description, you have a report with parameters. Now you want you report not to run automatically with your parameters default values. Right?
In Reporting Service, if you have parameters with default values in your report, your report will always auto run with these default values. We can say these default values are used for report running initially. So for your requirement, if you really need
to see your default value before the report running, the best workaround is set one more parameter to break the auto run like you have done. If you just want your report not to auto run, your can achieve it by removing those default values.

Autologin as user, auto run application as admin
Hello, I am just trying to figure our if there is a solution for my problem. I do not want to give the user full admin rights.
Every time when Windows Server 2012 reboots, I need a user to login automatically and one of the applications should run.
I am able to login after server reboots, the problem is with application. It has to run with full admin rights. If I try to configure to always run it as administrator, it asks for the admin's password. It should run automatically, so I cannot
enter the password after reboot.
Any ideas? Or should I give the user full admin rights? I do not want to do this.

How to set Lion built-in FTP Server auto run off
Hello all.
I set FTP Server by using Rumpus Server application.
But Lion's built-in FTP Server is running on the front.
So if I try to connect my FTP Server out of my LAN, I can only connect to the built-in FTP Server despite I wanted to connect Rumpus FTP Server.
It can be solved by unload the built-in FTP Server(using sudo -s launchctl unload...) but every after rebooting I should set it because it is set to run automatically in every booting.
How can I set the auto run off?well, the ftp server (=ftpd) takes account info from the user list for your mac. so, go to the system settings on your mac, then to users, and then just add another user with a password of your choice (tap on the little plus-sign to add a user!). this will then be a valid user for your ftp server after you restart your ftp server.
the other thing you want to do, about the home directory, is called chroot. you can set the home directory of a specific ftp-user to be another directory then the standard. for this, there are configuration directives in the configuration file in /private/etc/ftpd.conf which you have to edit by hand. so make sure what you do there.

Checking to see whether a user exists in a Windows Active Directory
I have a little java applet that has to run through a large list of users, and for one of its tasks, it has to check to see whether that user exists. Mostly this is the same as running with local users, with the one exception that I can't just check to see if a home directory exists.
Right now I am checking the return code from "net user <username>", but executing this program for every potential user is extremely slow.
Are any java facilities to deal with users on the local system? If not, does anyone else have any suggestions?
Also, a note for any responses- I'm using java to get around the lack of any easy way to set up a good scripting environment on Windows. I have a completed tool, and I don't want to rewrite it.<sarcasm>

After designating a user account to run the task, we select “Run whether user is logged on or not” option, and “The Do not store password…”
check box is automatically grayed out (See Figure 1).

After finishing configuring the task item, on a client, we run command
gpupdate/force to forcefully update group policy. However, on the client, when we check if the task is listed in Task Scheduler snap-in, the task is not displayed, and when we run
gpresult/h report.html to collect group policy result for troubleshooting, we see an error as similar as shown in the following figure (Figure 2).

Cause:
To make the scheduled task run whether the user is logged on or not, we need to store the password of the designated user account. However, for the content of the scheduled
task item is stored in Sysvol where it’s not safe to store passwords, this function has been deprecated.
Workaround:
We can run the task with system account
NT Authority\System, or we can use specific user accounts to run the task when the given user is logged on. (See Figure 3)

Even i was struggling with this same Problem to execute a batch via Window scheduler and set the setting to "Run whether the user is logged in or not".
I tried many time but the batch runs with " Run
whether user is logged on" and not with "Run
whether user is logged on or not".
what i discovered is that there was one mapped drive
path in my batch file which was not the complete path like y:/AR.qvw actually what i did i changed that map path to the complete path like \\servnamename\d$\AR.qvw and the batch executed successfully with the setting "Run
whether user is logged on or not"
The
conclusion is that check the dependency of the script on external resources because when you check this option "Run
whether user is logged on or not" It actually conflicts. This my discovery.

Slideshow auto run issue?
I notice that when you create an auto run slideshow, if you include thumbnails or back and forward arrows, once the thumbnails or arrows are used - thus interrupting the auto run - the show does not restart to auto run afterwards and there is no play button to re start it?

It is the expected behaviour of Slideshow. When an autoplay is interrupted then it cannot be started again.
The only options in that case for user is to either use the back and forward arrows or refresh the page to start the slideshow again from the beginning.

User Exists In Sales Order Creation Program for adding "Reason For Reject"
Hi gurus
I have following requriement
As New Sales Order created (VA01) by default or at the time of saving the sale order, perticular "Reason for Rejection" should be set to each line item.
This is then can be removed in change (VA02) with Mass change.
We need this to review the sales order / block sales order from MRP run.
Please let me know how to manage this or is there any user exist for the same.

As per my knowledge the automatic creation of rejection order is not possible, still will check out and know.
but for urgent use you will have to follow the manual way of changing the line items from OK to blocked for apporoval so you can achieve their not passing on to MRP.
manual way is what is described below:
You can either reject the whole sales document or individual items.
Reject all items:
If you want to reject all the items, choose Reject document in the change modus for the sales document.
The system automatically selects all the items and you can enter a reason for rejection in the following dialog box.
Enter the appropriate reason for rejection and choose Copy.
The system assigns the same reason for rejection to all the selected items.
Reject individual items:
If you only want to reject some of the items, select those items in the item overview screen and choose Edit - Fast change of... - Reason for rejection.
A dialog box appears in which you can enter the appropriate reason for rejection.
Enter the appropriate reason for rejection and choose Copy.
The system assigns the same reason for rejection to all the selected items.
Reject individual items with different reasons of rejection:
If you want to enter different reasons for rejection for the items, choose the Reason for rejection tab page from the overview screen when changing the sales document.
You can enter a different reason for rejection for each item in the Reason for rejection field.

I installed SLiM so that I could auto login my user and have used it before but for some reason on this machine it won't auto login my user.
I have made the adjustments to the /etc/slim.conf for the default_user and change the auto_login to yes.
I've been unable to find a reason why it won't login so am hoping someone might be able to assist me to sort this out.here is the file:

I've been messing around with JMF quite a bit lately and am really liking, there are a few things I am stumpped on and can't find much on the subject.
I don't like how I have to run the jregistry to find new capture devices, is there anyway that you can auto run it when you start your app, so the user won't have to manually open it and run it?

I have a HP Officejet 8500 Pro A909g. I downloaded the new Windows 8.1 64 bit driver as 8.1 would not allow the scanner to operate on the existing driver. Printing was fine. When i went to install the wizard, auto run file for the wizard is missing and so the installation can not run and instal the new driver.

Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you're having an issue getting your Officejet 8500 scanning on Windows 8.1. I will do my best to help you with this issue.
Did you upgrade to 8.1 from an older version of Windows?
If so, with it not scanning correctly. You can try just removing the HP Solution Center from programs and features.
Go to the bottom left corner of your screen right click on the Windows icon> go to Control Panel> Go to Programs> uninstall Solution Center if it's listed.
Next, instead of using the printer install wizard. Download the software from this link: HP Officejet Pro Full Feature Software and Driver. Let it run through, it should prompt to " add more software". This should allow you to reinstall Solution Center.
If you run into issues, there is something you may have to do. If you get a file missing error here, or the install hangs check your computer for the following.
McAfee Live Safe - Disable the "Realtime Scanning".
Check for and remove HPOINS*.dat or HPWINS*.dat. Here is a link to a post by JonW on how to do this: Re: installer setup hangs under Windows 8.1.
