AFDKO 2.0 build 26 is now released

AFDKO 2.0 build 26 is now available at:

This is a bug fix release. Many bugs are fixed, but there is little new function. This release fixes the problems with installation under Mac OSX and Wiindows, and allows the FDK to co-exist with an installed Python used by FontLab. It supports both Python2.3 and 2.4 for FontLab. Several significant makeOTF bugs are fixed: see the file "DKReleaseNotes.txt".
Note that some of the older links to files in the AFDKO web site s have not yet been re-directed. These will be fixed soon.

Hi Magnus,
I've logged a job through the TAC this morning for a bug (cosmetic) with TC7.2.0. Bug reference is CSCuq62469.
On the web interface of an EX90 or MX200 upgraded to TC7.2.0 we're getting a warning message that the OSD is set to a video output that doesn't have a display connected. And it doesn't matter which output the device is configured to, the same error keeps displaying.

You are probably correct about the IOS version. Yes, I use iTunes. My phone gave me a choice of several networks, neighbors I assume, and asked me to create a new network. I could not join neighbor's networks because I do not have a password and for other obvious reasons and do not have wifi in my home - so I was stuck at the "Other Network" screen. I know I am not a heavy weight when it comes to software, etc, but it does not have to be this difficult. Where is Steve when you need him?

New features in this release:
You can create schedule workspaces, which are sets of view settings that you can reuse across schedules. These settings include:
Column width
Column sequence
Column visibility—whether a column is hidden or visible
Strip colors
While comparing schedules, in addition to viewing set and character conflicts, you can also view set group conflicts.
You can export visible or all columns in a schedule as a CSV (comma-separated values) file. You can then use a spreadsheet application, such as Microsoft Excel, to open the CSV file.
Instead of creating the Studio Recording Order from schedules, you can now create this report using the Shooting Order Script report

Flash Builder 4.7 AIR Release Build certificate problem

I can´t export a Release Build of an AIR application in Flash Builder 4.7. In the Packaging Settings screen forms and buttons to browse for and create certificate are missing. There is just the notification that No certificate selected and Back and Cancel buttons. In Flash Builder 4.6 everything iworks allright. Can somebody help me?

Flash Builder 4.5 Pre-Release Release Build Not Working

Hello,
I am doing a release build of a project, getting no errors, and the AIR app works just fine on my machine. Others have no success trying to run the app. 1 is on XP, the other Windows 7. Both have the most recent version of AIR. Any suggestions?

The flash builder 4.5 export released webapp file is too large

now i am starting a web project of realizing live webcast. i developed a videoplayer based on OSMF.
the problem is when i deploy my web app on BlazeDS, the released file is too large.
below is the file list in my BlazeDS server.
then what shall i do to futher reduce the total size of the webapp released file or what is the unnecessary swf file for my webapp?

OK. Then it's not an Android sim but just an AIR sim...
I wish it's possible to debug on the Android emulator. Flash Develop can do that.

PAL to NTSC, when to convert? Can't Build or Burn now.

I shot on a Pal camera and built the project as a NTSC project in FCP 5 (Studio). Converted all the PAL video into NTSC when compressing using Compression out of FCP. All seemed to work fine. Built the DVD as a NTSC project, no problems until... I can't get it to Burn, build or format. Right now, it is freezing up on build, but I've actually burned a few CDs but none of them have worked. Always crashed the DVD player in my Computer.
Anybody have any experience with this?
Would I be better off going back and finishing the project as a PAL project in FCP and then convert the whole project into NTSC? How to do that??
I've been dealing with thise issues for days now. One small step forwards, 2 big steps backwards.
Especially frustrating because I've been working on this project for years and now it is ALMOST finished, but I can't quite do it......
Any help, suggestions would be appreciated.

this is my workflow for shooting in PAL for NTSC DVD discs - it has worked well for a contract to USA clients for over 6 years:
shoot in PAL
edit in Final Cut in PAL sequence
export QT file - self contained, current settings
standards convert to NTSC using Nattress:

Hotfix 3 is now released, but no source for the rpc package?

HotFix 2 included the rpc source, but HotFix 3 omits it even
though apparently the focus of the patch was WebService
improvements. Can we get it back so we can find the new entry
points for application-level functions?
The builds of the 2.0.1 SDK on Adobe Labs also leaves this
package out.

We are not releasing the Flex SDK with the source for the rpc
classes at this time.

release? It looks great so far, even though I have just used it a little
bit, but it would be nice to be able to see what 'official' changes were

REQUEST: VMware Workstation 6.5 build 118166 non-beta release

Linux newbie here. Can anyone whip up a nice pgkbuild for the recent official release of vmware workstation 6.5? The current build is 118166. The 6.5 beta expires at the end of the month.
No, I can't use virtualbox, since ESX doesn't run in it. Yes, I need to run a couple ESX VMs.

To install Workstation on a Linux host using a bundle
1 Download VMware-Workstation-6.5.0-118166.xxxxxx.bundle. Replace xxxxx for whichever architecture.
2 In a terminal cd to the directory where you downloaded the file.
3 Become root to perform the initial installation steps:
$ su
# mkdir -p /etc/rc.d/vmware.d/rc{0,1,2,3,4,5,6}.d
# sh VMware-Workstation-6.5.0-118166.xxxxxx.bundle --console --custom
4 Accept the EULA to continue.
5 Accept the default settings until it prompts for System service runlevels then set to:
/etc/rc.d/vmware.d/
6 For System service scripts set to:
/etc/rc.d
7 (Optional) Enter the directory path to the Integrated Virtual Debugger for Eclipse
if Eclipse is installed.
Click Install.
8 Open Workstation to launch the kernel module updater to install and configure the
kernel.

Updated app metadata, now release date has changed to Aug. 12 :(

This morning I updated the metadata of the paid version of my app (which was on the front page of the utilities category as an update just appeared a couple of days ago). Now I see that its release date is marked as Aug. 12 (the original release date) and as a result the app is pushed way to the back of the utilities category apps listing. Anyone had this happen to them and can suggest anything to do about it?

BB10 Updates - What's the latest version now released?

Connectivity Problems Forms 10g Builder with 11g Database Release 1

Hello All,
I am trying to connect 11g Database (Version 11.1.0.7.0 mounted on Linux) from my Oracle Forms 10g Builder 10.1.2.0.2 in my client PC Windodws XP. But its just hanging and doesnt connects at all.
Strange is that from the same Oracle home i am able to connect to same 11g user through the reports builder 10g and
, sqlplusw and sqlplus from 10g home.
But i am not able to connect to 11g R1 database from my Forms Builder alone. Why is this? Can the PROs get me out of this problem please.
