  • Mediator 11.1.1.5 faults Java Handler not getting called fault-policies

    Hi,
    I have a Oracle SOA 11.1.1.5 Mediator and am handling the faults using fault policies but somehow custom java handler is not invoked when an error occurs and this is what I see in the log but somehow my custom java handler class is not getting called.

    and updated oracle.soa.mediator.jar manifest by putting the path of the jar file. Restarted the servers but still when an exception occurs in Mediator custom java handler is not invoked. Any ideas what I am missing or are there any special steps
    Thanks

    There is no point in retry on binding fault, rather you can raise it as exception and catch it in sepcific catch block or catch all will handle it.
    Ideally this particular instance will be faulted and if required you can customize to send a mail with fault string to developer or support person or dba
    This type of fault need human intervension to fix this code or it could be data issue.
    - It is considered good etiquette to reward answerers with points (as "helpful" - 5 pts - or "correct" - 10pts).
    Thanks,
    Vijay

    Command below does not get file list.
    import java.io.;*..
    File file = new File("\\\\10.242.22.28\\SapMII");
    File[] files = file.listFiles();
    SapMII folder is Everyone full Control permission.
    How can i solve this problem?
    Thanks.

    Could you please post replies in a more helpful way? Just informing me that it was an NPE doesn't really tell me anything. Post the stacktrace (Exception#printStackTrace()). And the listFile() methods API has this to say:
    Returns null if this abstract pathname does not denote a directory, or if an I/O error occurs.I'm able to run this sample code easily:
    import java.io.File;
    public class TestFileList {
         public static void main(String[] args) {
              File file = new File("\\\\10.40.55.33\\shared");
              File [] files = file.listFiles();
              for(File currentFile: files )
                   System.out.println(currentFile.getName());
    }

  • Java Dynpro - Consumed Java WebService - Not getting executed

    I have consumed a Java Web Service ( EJB ) in my Java Web dynpro code ( using Import Web service Model ( Not adaptive ))
    Successfully consumed.
    But the Web Service Model is not getting executed by this code -
    Request_CreatePortalUsrWebServiceViDocument_createUsr createPrtUsr = new Request_CreatePortalUsrWebServiceViDocument_createUsr();
         wdContext.nodeREQUEST_CREATEPORTALUSRWEBSERVICEVIDOCUMENT_CREATEUSR().bind( createPrtUsr );
    try {
         wdContext.currentREQUEST_CREATEPORTALUSRWEBSERVICEVIDOCUMENT_CREATEUSRElement().modelObject().execute();
              wdContext.nodeResponse().invalidate();
         } catch (Exception e) {
              // TODO Auto-generated catch block
              e.printStackTrace();
    This Web Service resides on the local portal server.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    First, have you tested that the web service works if you run it directly in the WS Navigator?
    Here is a snippet of how I usually call web services:
    public void getUserControlTable( )
        //@@begin getUserControlTable()
              //     Clear down existing context
              wdContext.nodeGetUserControlTable().invalidate();
              // Create model object
              DBMaint_ConfigServicesFactoryWS model = new DBMaint_ConfigServicesFactoryWS();
              // Create context elements
              Request_GetUserControlTable request = new Request_GetUserControlTable(model);
              GetUserControlTable method = new GetUserControlTable(model);
              request.setGetUserControlTable(method);
              // Bind to context
              wdContext.nodeGetUserControlTable().bind(request);
              // Call service
              try {
                   wdContext.nodeGetUserControlTable().currentGetUserControlTableElement().modelObject().execute();
              } catch (Exception ex) {
                   wdThis.wdFireEventDisplayDebugMessage(
                        "Error calling CanUserConfigureApp service - " + ex.getCause().toString());
                   wdThis.wdFireEventDisplayErrorMessage(
                        "Unable to read User Control table - configuration not currently possible",
                        null,
                        null);
                   return;
        //@@end
    I'm not sure why you aren't creating a model object as I cannot instantiate my objects without it - maybe it is because you are using a non-adaptive WS model.  Why aren't you using the adaptive WS Model?
    Also, I don't see where you are creating a method/operation object, you only seem to create the top level Request object.  I'd expect you to need to create the operation level object too and add that into the request, as I do above.
    There is little point in outputting the stack trace like that - I always use the message manager object to display errors and debug message on screen.  I think you should at least add some debug messages to try and pinpoint what is going wrong.
    Gareth.

  • Use of MPSS on Solaris 9 and Java 141_03 - not getting 4M pagesizes

    Hi all,
    Anyone know how to get MPSS actually using large page sizes in 1.4 / SunOS 5.9 ??
    I have a 1.4.1_03-b02 JVM that is using the -XX:+UseMPSS option and using the LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/mpss.so.1 and MPSSHEAP=4M but when I use pmap -Fxs <PID> I always see 8k pages. My system is 5.9 Generic_122300-03 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-480R and pagesize -a give me:
    8192
    65536
    524288
    4194304
    so 4M should be OK to use...
    The full JVM options are:
    -XX:+TraceClassUnloading -XX:+UseParallelGC -XX:+UseMPSS -XX:-UseAdaptiveSizePolicy -XX:SurvivorRatio=2 -XX:MaxTenuringThreshold=3 -XX:+DisableExplicitGC -Dsun.rmi.server.exceptionTrace=true -Xloggc:gc.log -verbose:gc -XX:+PrintGCTimeStamps -XX:+PrintGCDetails -server -ms2560m -mx2560m -Xmn1024m -Dsun.rmi.dgc.client.gcInterval=14400000 -Dsun.rmi.dgc.server.gcInterval=14400000
    I have also tried using LD_PRELOAD_32 and LD_PRELOAD_64 but still only see 8k pages in pmap for the heap...
    Thanks for any ideas, if I read the doc I should not need to do anything to use the MPSS option on SunOS 5.9...so maybe one of my other JVM options is preventing MPSS from being used?

    OK, bug 4845026 is giving me a clue:
    Bug ID:      4845026
    Votes      1
    Synopsis      MPSS broken on JDK 1.4.1_02
    Category      hotspot:jvm_interface
    Reported Against      1.4.1_02
    Release Fixed
    State      Closed, will not be fixed
    Related Bugs
    Submit Date      08-APR-2003
    Description
    I am running SPECjAppServer2002 with WebLogic Server 8.1 and JDK 1.4.1_02.
    Here is the version of JDK 1.4.1_02 that I am using:
    <gar07.4> /export/VMs/j2sdk1.4.1_02/bin/java -version
    java version "1.4.1_02"
    Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.1_02-b06)
    Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.1_02-b06, mixed mode)
    The system is a V240 with solaris S9U3:
    <gar07.5> more /etc/release
    Solaris 9 4/03 s9s_u3wos_04 SPARC
    Copyright 2003 Sun Microsystems, Inc. All Rights Reserved.
    Use is subject to license terms.
    Assembled 16 December 2002
    After rebooting the system I use the following command line to start the appserver:
    + /export/VMs/j2sdk1.4.1_02/bin/java -server -verbose:gc -XX:+PrintGCTimeStamps
    -XX:+UseMPSS -XX:+AggressiveHeap -Xms3500m -Xmx3500m -Xmn600m -Dweblogic.oci.sel
    ectBlobChunkSize=1600 -classpath ...
    The process should have some annon segments mapped to 4M, but it doesn't:
    <gar07.7> ps -ef | grep java
    ecuser 541 533 12 10:30:33 ? 0:50 /export/VMs/j2sdk1.4.1_02/bin/java -server -verbose:gc -XX:+PrintGCTimeStamps -
    ecuser 566 343 0 10:31:24 pts/1 0:00 grep java
    <gar07.8> pmap -s 541 | grep 4M
    <gar07.9>
    If I do exactly the same using JDK 1.4.2 instead of JDK1.4.1_02 I am able to get
    4M pages. Here is the command line for 1.4.2:
    + /export/VMs/j2sdk1.4.2/bin/java -server -verbose:gc -XX:+PrintGCTimeStamps -XX
    :+PrintGCDetails -XX:+AggressiveHeap -Xms3500m -Xmx3500m -Dweblogic.oci.selectBl
    obChunkSize=1600 -classpath ...
    And here are my 4M pages:
    <gar07.20> pmap -s `pgrep java` | grep 4M
    1AC00000 282624K 4M rwx-- [ anon ]
    F5800000 16384K 4M rwx-- [ anon ]
    F6800000 4096K 4M rwx-- [ anon ]
    F6C00000 4096K 4M rwx-- [ anon ]
    F7000000 4096K 4M rwx-- [ anon ]
    F9C00000 4096K 4M rwx-- [ anon ]
    Without large pages the time spent in TLB misses for this benchmark is 25% (!)
    Using 4M pages that time is reduce to 3%. WLS8.1 was certified with 1.4.1_02 so
    we cannot use 1.4.2 for the benchmark.
    thanks for your help,
    Fernando Castano

    Mukesh,
    Can you get someone to look into back porting this fix. Please see below
    attachment for additional info. 4845026 : (P1/S1) New Hotbug Created
    Is a new bug that only exists in JDk 1.4.1_x release. Its fixed in 1.4.2
    release from code related to bug 4737603.
    Thanks Jane & James for the heads up.
    Thanks
    Gary Collins
    Gary,
    I think the bug James referred to is
    4737603 Using MPSS with Parallel Garbage Collection doesn't yield 4mb
    pages
    which was fixed in mantis (according to the bug report).
    Looks like a simple fix to back-port.
    Jane
    xxxxx@xxxxx 2003-04-10
    This problem is partially because of bug 4737603, mainly because there is code cache mapping to large page in 1.4.1(4772288: New MPSS in mantis). This part of code will be ported into 1.4.1 from mantis.
    xxxxx@xxxxx 2003-04-18
    There's 2 things. MPSS wasn't used in the parallel GC collector AND not
    used for the code cache. Both need to be addressed.

  • I just installed win 7 using bootcamp only after windows booted I see nothing pertaining to bootcamp and on restart I do not get a choice to boot on OSx. It is like OSx isn't there any more. I don't have the drivers either. Any ideas?

    It seems as if Windows is the only operating system, but the disk shows only the space that I gave for Windows not the entire 500 GB.

    Reboot, hold the option key down at the chime, release it when the boot manager appears, select OSX
    You really need to read the Boot Camp Documentation, and do you have a backup (in case you can't recover?)

    PLZZ DO HELP OUT!!!

    The message in simple English just means that "You are doing something really bad" !!! It is absolutely not the communication problem, but understanding problem.
    Though you may be executing the same function using SE37 or in the webshop application through JCo, the runtime context is different and without knowing what exactly your Z rfc is doing, it is very difficult to help. To start with, the userid - that is who is running the RFC is different in both situations. In SE37, it is the logon user and in the web, depending upon whether the connection is stateless or stateful, it could be the anonymous ICSS user or the logged in user. Here again, if you have used UME, it is the user id and if you have used ALIAS user, then it is the alias user id. This is just an example. Your runtime context can be different due to many other reasons too.
    So, to make this simpler - what is that you are trying to do?
    BTW, try not to create multiple threads for the same issue..

    Next time you open the photos application hold down both of the keys suggested and then launch the application in the usual way. If you do this you will be presented with the opportunity to repair your library.

  • Could not get schema Object:java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException ora-904

    All of a sudden I get
    Could not get schema Object:java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-00904: "SYS"."O"."NAME": ongeldige ID
    when doing anything in the tables tree in the connections pane
    The only thing I set recently is pga_aggregate_target
    Environment
    Oracle 11.2.0.1
    OS Windows Vista Ultimate sp2
    Sql developer 2.1.1.64.39 with its own JDK
    As the download links on OTN are broken I can not upgrade, and I'd rather not work in command line sqlplus.
    Help!!!

    My copy of sqldeveloper isn't located in that directory. Would that matter?
    In the mean time I have disabled filtering the tables node. Opening the tables node doesn't result in exceptions anymore.
    Now, when I click on any table in that node I get 4 identical ora-904 error messages for sys.o.name for any table.
    Apparently it is querying either the all_objects view and it thinks it is querying sys.obj$.
    I didn't yet enable sql_trace for the session, I'm more or less giving up on sqldeveloper. I can not use the space bar in any datagrid, sqldeveloper has always been extreemly unresponsive when navigating the schema browser (as opposed to Toad), etc, etc. Too bad I bought Sue Harpers book, but I think I will be de-installing sqldeveloper soon.

  • Images not getting Loaded while running Java Application through jar file

    Hello Friends,
    I have a problem while starting my application.I have written my application using pure java.There is no JSP or anything just pure swings.Mine is a standalone appplication.So i used to run it using a batch file.And when i used to start my application it used to not show me the images.so what i did was i mentioned the starting directory in the properties of the batch file (ie in the start in column field).But that was when i was using weblogic server.And i have lot of people working on the same application.so i used ZAC publisher in weblogic and along with that i used to publish the batch file also.so the users dint have any problem.But now what is my problem is i m trying to use JAVA Webstart instead of weblogic ZAC.Now in webstart what happens is that i have to run the appliaction thru jar file.so where do i mention the class path so that the images get loaded.As of now the imaes are not getting loaded.i feel this is a class path problem.but where do i mention it that is my problem.It would be really helpfule if someone could help me out.
    thanx and regards,

    try out this
    ImageIcon img1=new ImageIcon(this.getClass().getResource(imagename));
    for exmaple
    Imageicon img1=new ImageIcon(this.getClass().getResource("name1.jpg"));
    dont 4get to include the image files in the jar file

  • SSLException : untrusted server cert chain in java client, but not getting that with weblogic.

    Hi,
    I am bit confused about what i am seeing,
    a. i used java client to talk to talk to server, got "untrusted server cert chain"
    , ressolved the exceptio by adding certificate to cacerts file.
    b. tried to connect to server using another weblogic server and not getting "untrusted
    server cert chain", even when the certificates are not installed.
    i dont know why it is throwning the SSLException in (a) and not in (b).
    thanks,
    Nirmala

    Stand alone client takes its trusted certificate from the JDK cacerts keystore
    by default.
    SSL client running on server uses server trust configuration. By default the server
    is configured to trust the CAs with certificates in DemoTrust.jks keystore and
    the JDK cacerts keystore.
