Affect of new Org responsibilities to personalizations of standard OAF Page

Hi,
Let say personalizations are done to Standard OA Pages at the levels (Function, User, Responsibility, Org etc) using a responsibility of the Old GL Setup ( Old Orgs). Now if the New GL setup is added to the system, that is new orgs are added and new responsibilities are added. And let say, the new responsibilities are using the same Standard OA pages that were personalized from old responsibilities.
Will all same set of personalizations of these standard OA Pages will be seen from the new responsibilites by default or do we need to take any extra step to make those personalizations affect take place in New responsibilities too?
Please assist as to what it takes from both the Technical and Administration side?

My requirement is like, there is a source LOV on one of the iProcurment page. And customer wants to populates value say 'Source A' for a random group of persons. Hope you understand my requirement.

If message which needs to be changed is attached to AOL message then try the below
1.modify the message according to your requirement
2. clear fucntional cache to reflect the change in login page
Navigation to clear cache: Functional Administrator Responsibility -> Core Services -> Caching Framework -> Global Configuration -> Click on “Clear All Cache” button then click “Yes” button
How to find out which message is attached with that login page.Is there any way to find out that in about this page or personalization or any other method.If your login page is OAF page then you can check it using about this page. Go to 'about this page' link select "Expand All" radio button then search for your message.

Personalization on standard approval page

I would like to add some verbiage to the Oracle workflow approval page via personalization. The document is /oracle/apps/fnd/wf/worklist/webui/NotifDetailsPG. All approvals seem to use this page. The catch is that I only want this verbiage to appear for Effort Reporting approvals and no others. For example, it should not appear for timecard approvals, purchasing approvals, etc. I am wondering if this is possible to do without going deep into OA customizations. I have only had experience with OA Framework personalizations. We are on Oracle EBS 11.5.10.2. Thanks. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes on this page create button is not there.
I forgot the exact the reason but I think if at page level "Add Indexed Child Property" is set then we can't create the items using personalization.
If you want to create items then you can extend the controller and then create required item.

Is it possible to launch a form from an OAF page using OAF Personalization

In R11, the Customer Standard form ARXCUDCI was customized to call a custom block from the Address screen. In R12 the customer standard form has become an OAF page. We have decided to create a custom form for the custom block using Oracle Developer. However we need a mechanism to call this custom form from the Customer Standard OAF page.
My query is if it is possible to call a custom form from an OAF page using OAF personalization only (i.e. without directly customizing the code of the OAF page)

Dear Apurba,
I have made some progress.
I have open the Customers OAF Page, queried a customer, selected a site and opened it.
Then chose Personalize "Account Site Address"
There I added a Button on the Header Address level
ID=XXTVL_LASSY_BUTTON
Populated the Additional Text and Prompt properties.
Also set Destination URI=form:SYSADMIN:SYSTEM_ADMINISTRATOR:STANDARD:FND_FNDMNMNU.
The button is now showing in the address page, and when I click on it it opens the seeded Menu form.
I now have to create the custom form and set Destination URI to the Custom Form.
I am also aware how to add parameters to Destination URI.
But could you let me know how to read the value from a OAF page form field and reference it in Destination URI.
I need the value of PARTY_SITE_ID of the Address OAF page.
Alternatively, the Site Number is displayed on the OAF page. If I can read it that will also do. I can use the Site Number in the custom form rather than PARTY_SITE_ID

Adding a new of style Flex in a OAF Page

Hi,
I am facing an issue while creating a new item of style flex in a OAF page.I am able to add the flex by extending the controller but its displaying twice in the page means at the region level as well as in Page level
If i comment the line-->oawebbean.addIndexedChild(GivBean); then its not displaying anywhere in the page

Yes..adding twice in the page
But if we comment msgCompLayout.addIndexedChild(GivBean); and uncomment oawebbean.addIndexedChild(GivBean);-->then its adding at the end of the page this is fine
and if i comment oawebbean.addIndexedChild(GivBean); and uncomment msgCompLayout.addIndexedChild(GivBean); -->then its not displaying any flex in the region level as well as in the page level
Is any statement i have missed out here please suggest.

Duplicate period appearing in German when creating new Org Unit in PPOME

Hi Guys,
My users are encountering a problem when they create an Org. Unit/Position in PPOME.
Whenever a new Org. Unit is being created (lets assume with the validity date of 01.11.2006), an earlier period would automatically be created, thus making the object having 2 periods.
Upon clicking on the "Select Period" icon for the object in the Detail area of the screen, 2 lines of periods are being displayed.
When i view the second period, i would see the correct details of the Org. Unit that was keyed in by the user.
However, when i view the first period, the details are all on German language (this record was not created by the user at all).
Therefore, i checked the tables T528B and T528T, i found duplicate records for certain Object IDs. It seems the Org Unit that was created by the user is being appended after the Org Unit that is in German.
Any ideas on how to clean up those lines of data that is appearing in German and prevent such an occurance from happening in future?

I followed your instructions but i am unable to detect anything out of the ordinary.
I'm compared the configuration in Development again Production and they are the same.
However, the problem i described in this thread is not appearing in Development. It is just happening in Production.
Any other ideas?

If you want to copy the entire org structure leave the Evaluation Path field. If you want to copy certain relationships only, then mention the relationship or evaluation path.
An evaluation path allows you to focus inquiries/reports on objects which are affected by certain relationships.
Organizational Management allows you to manage scenarios in parallel in various plan versions.

Reassignment to new Org.Unit & Position

Hello Everyone,
I have a requirement to reassign a Business Partner (Associated with Central Person) to a new org.unit & a new position in the organizational Model. This should be done using a FM. I would like to know if there are any FM's which can be used to reassign a BP from one Org.Unit to Different Org.Unit and a differént position.
I am able to create the relationship using FM *OM_CREATE_RELATION_WITH_DIALOG*. But relationship has to be reassigned to different org.unit & position. Let me know if any one you can help me with.

Hi,
You can generate the required report from reporting tool HIS. select the org structure for which you want the report to be generated.
In the graphical view select the org unit and in the reporting window select organizational plan and select staff assignment as task function.

Adding New Org Units to Existing Organization Structure

There is a change in the Org Structure, i.e we are adding new Org Units(Personnel Sub areas) to the existing Structure and creating postions to the newly created Org Units using PP01. Now my question is what are all things need to be configured with respect to Payroll, for the newly created PSA.

Please be more clearer. PSAs are not org units. PSA belong to enterprise structure, whereas Org Unit belong to Org Structure. When you create new positions under the Org Units tht have been assigned to a PSA, PA, Company Code, Cost Center and Controlling area combination, you would have to set the following.
Group your PSA for,
Primary Wage Types
Premium
Work Schedule
Time Recording
Absence Attendence Type.
Assign Tax Area to a PSA(If it is US Payroll).

How to create new org.level and further actions?

Hi experts!
I need help on the follwing situation.
For better separation of industries for the marketing staff we do use the branch (e.g. food, energy, ...).
For that we want to adjust the authorizations to branch specific.
The questions are:
1) Is it possible to create a new organisational level "branch"?
2) If I have a new org.level I think I have to adjust existing authorization objects. Do I only have to extend the belonging auth.objects with the new org.level?
3) What else do I have to do if a new org.level branch is created to check authorizations on that?

If I read your question correctly I think you want to create a new authorization field. To get that to work you'd need to adapt a lot of software. Definately not a path to follow.
All authorization cheecks need to hard-coded into the software. Changing SAP standard software is something one wants to stay away from as long as possible. It'll keep haunting you when patching, upgrading etcetera.
If you want to 'upgrade' an existing field to become organizational a forum serach on PFCG_ORGFIELD_CREATE should give you pointers.

New ECC system with new org structure into existing CRM 7 system

Hi,
We have a situation where we have a current ECC 6 system which distributes organisation structure to a CRM 7 system using ALE (org units, positions, personnel numbers).
We are implementing a new ECC 6 instance as a result of a merger which will have a new org structure, the CRM 7 system remains.
My question is has anyone dealt with a similar situation where a new org structure is distributed into an existing CRM or SRM system? Any lessons you could share? Or tips for how to approach this?
