Affter importing some pics to Trial, I am now running Full Aperture 2

After installing Upgrade to Aperture 2, all my pics from Aperture 1 were converted and show up OK. How do I get the pics that I imported into the Trial Aperture 2? I can't specify (it is greyed) that library as default library under preferences for some reason. When I try to open that Trial Library from Finder and specify to open with Aperture 2, Aperture 2 opens and runs the huge library of pics that was converted from Aperture 1. Aperture Trial was running fine before I ran the installation of the upgrade.
Thanks!!
Michael

right click on the trial library -> show package contents ...
drag out the projects that you created in there ...
open aperture and file -> import -> projects (locate the ones form the trial lib) ...

I am trying to import some jpg pics off my camera to iphoto.  (Version 9).  I am doing nothing different than I did the last time I imported them to iphoto. I only have about 250 pictures on my computer, so I know it's not full.  The only thing that was done different was that my child imported them to another account on the computer.  I have since moved them to my account with the sharing feature.  I formatted my camera's memory card, and took about 3 pictures.  Even those pictures I still get the error:  The following files are in an unrecognizable format.  Can someone please help??

    As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

  • HT4101 I have photos on an SD card.  when I plug iCard reader into ipd3 it says no photos found.  I was able to import some photos at first but not now.  What gives?

I have photos on a 4g SD card.  When I plug iCard reader int iPad it says : No photos found.  I had used this method to a few pics on iPad when I first got it, but it doesn't  work now.  What gives?

How did the photos get onto the card ? If you copied them onto it from your computer then you need to create a DCIM directory off the root of the card, with the photos underneath it, and the photo filenames need to be exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension i.e. in a similar format as if a camera had created/written them

  • My RAW files suddenly says "Unsupported Image Format" and can't import new pics

    Hi all,
A week ago I imported the latest bunch of RAW-images from my Canon EOS 30D (.CR2-files) and all was working great. I did take some of the pics and exported them to an e-mail and sent them off to a friend. Then after rearranging my home office I was trying to import some pics from my iPhone 4 - won't work!
And the RAW-images are not supported any longer!...??
    Facts:
    - iMac 2,66MHz Core 2 Duo/4GB/OS 10.8.1
    - Aperture 3.3.2
    - Aperture Library located on a Netgear ReadyNAS NV+
Have searched for a solution without finding anything that works...
    Have tried to:
    - repair permissions
    - examine database
    - tossed com.apple.Aperture.plist to the trash
    - am right now trying to rebuilding database as a last resort
Anyone have a good idea as I'm very reluctant to belive that rebuildning will work?
    BR,
    Pete

    Thanks for your reply!
I've looked into it a bit.
The ReadyNAS uses Linux Ext3/Ext4 file system.
Found that my rights to Aperture Library has been downgraded to "Read only" even though I'm the admin...
Won't take changes either... Get a message stating that I don't have the privilage to change file rights...!!
I've just started a copy session of the 125 GB large Library to the internal HDD... It seems like a good idea to have it there - even though it's eating massive amounts of disk surface! Almost 20%...
I'm calling Netgear tomorrow - how the heck can may rights be changed, just like that???
Funny thing it's been working fine for a pretty long time, it's after Mointain Lion it has started to acting up.
I did have similar problems the day after upgrading to ML but after a firmware upgrade of the ReadyNAS it worked like a charm again - until yesterday...
Hope that I'm allowed to change the rights when it's been copied to the internal disk... Been typing and researching file system type etc for at least 15 mins now and it's still "preparing to copy"
Here's what I found in Console, the line called "2012-09-13 01:13:16,238" gave it away for sure (while trying to import new pictures).

Imported slide show into PE11 and some pics rotated unexpectedly, How can get back to horizontal?

    winkhi
Just what are the pixel dimensions of these photos that are automatically rotating on you in Premiere Elements 11 workspace after being transferred there from the Elements Organizer Slideshow Editor? Do I have that correct? If so, how are you making the transfer....Edit with Premiere Elements Editor, Burn to Disc, or other as Elements Organizer 11 Slideshow Editor output?
What is the scenario...from the camera to the computer hard drive, landscape; from the computer hard drive to the Elements Organizer 11 Slideshow Editor, landscape; from the Elements Organizer 11 Slideshow Editor to Premiere Elements 11 Project Assets/Timeline, rotated to Portrait?
Do you find that the frequency of the problem is related to pixel dimensions, number of photos used? What is the format of these photos, jpg or other?
Are you using the Rotation option in the Applied Effects Tab/Applied Effects Palette/Motion Panel expanded to correct the photo rotation?
    Just some thoughts for now.

I have an iMac 27" and am trying to import some videos of a friends wedding into iMovie however one of the movies won't import. It doesn't say why or give any error message or codes.
All of the other movies on the card download with out a problem. The movie in question is not 'corrupt' as you can watch it in iMovie direct from the SD card but as soon as you try to import it, it  just says 'error'. iIve tried moving the file to an external drive ( and other variations on this theme) then importing but have had no luck.
    Can anyone please help me.

    The mystery remains....
Thanks for the pointers. The file type is .mts (a proprietry sony one).
I have now found some video converter software (Wondershare and iSkysoft) at a cost. Either will convert this file for me into .mp4. This I can then import into iMovie without any problems. I've checked this on the trial versions and it worked well but without paying am left with a giant watermark in the video
The mystery (which I still havent solved) is why did 20 other .mts files import fine and then this one not?
If you could point me in the direction of some free .mts converter software that would be the cherry on the cake.
    Thanks

  • Importing nikon pics

my friend has some pics on cd that came from nikon camera (forgot nikon extension) - when i tried to import the whole cd into iPhoto 09 - it worked for a minute - then said that x pic could not be found - when i told it each one at a time - it did import them - but way to much work...
I believe it may be converting each one to .jpg from nikon format....
Q: is there a way to import the whole cd at once - without manual interaction?
gear imac late model w 10.6.x

This sometimes occurs if you’re importing a file into iPhoto and there’s already a file there with the same name. Digital cameras can produce many, many files with the same name over their lifetime, so it’s not uncommon to have several files called IMG_00543.JPG, for instance. Now you want to import one also called this.
What happens is that iPhoto compares the two files to check for duplicates. However, if iPhoto cannot find the file already in the database for comparison, then you get this message. It suggests that your database is damaged because iPhoto has lost track of this (or these) similarly named files.
A simple test is to rename the file you are importing - just add a character - IMG_00543a.JPG for instance. If this then imports with no issue then you might consider rebuilding your library:
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
I believe it may be converting each one to .jpg from nikon format....
If these are NEF files, i.e. Nikon Raw files then iPhoto is creating a jpeg preview on import. Read the help. Working with Raw is very different from working with jpegs.

  • FIles not importing fully on PrPro Trial

We are giving PrPRO a try, and so far we like what we are seeing.  However we have run into a challenge.  We have a series of HD (720p, 1080i) files in AVI that we are trying to import.  Some are MPEG2 and others are DV.  We can import and process smaller files just fine, but larger ones are getting truncated on import.  If we try to import a clip over 3 or 4 minutes, we only see 3 or 4 minutes in the source monitor.  The slider and video stops on the source.  There appears to be no rhyme or reason as to why only a portion of the clip is being loaded.  I am not sure if it is a limitation imposed by file size (the larger files are between 50 and 90GB), or a time limit imposed by the trial version.  We are nowhere near capacity on system memory (RAM), perhaps it is a caching issue?
Does anybody have any idea? Is there some setting that is preventing the entire clip from importing, some cache setting or other that needs adjusting.  Thanks!

I had read those limitations, however I am not sure how they apply?
    You originally posted:
    Some are MPEG2
The trial version does not import MPEG files, hence my response.

How can I save some pics from my Mac to my Ipod Touch ?

Syncing photos with iTunes is explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236
You'll have to choose the photos you want to sync in the photo pane in iTunes with your phone connected, then apply sync.

  • I recently imported some CDs, the songs loaded fine, they play on the computer and all, but when I go to put them on my iPhone, they don't show up.  Yes I have tried manually selecting them, that too has failed.  This is infuriating, please help!!!!

I have imported some Cds, they play fine on the computer.  When i sleect them to go on my iphone they never show up, this whole icloud set up for music is really annoying.  i wish itunes woudl go back to the way things were, a simple click on a song/album/artist and boom, theyre on your ipod. now you have to finish a maze, get a masters degree, and then solve three riddles before you even can import something from a recently imported CD.

Have you tried deleting the songs from Settings?
Settings -> General -> Usage -> Manage Storage (not the iCloud link!) -> Music and then click Edit to enable you to be able to delete.

I imported some 24P HD videos from my DSLR to Aperture but these videos do not show up in iMovie '09 for editing purposes. Although my previous 24P HD Videos from iPhoto '09 show up. Why can't I access these videos stored in Aperture library? I assumed that like  the videos in iPhoto, I would be able to access the videos in Aperture through iMovie. Come on Apple! I am starting to get frustrated with your products here. And this is saying a lot when I have been using and loving apple products for the last 4 years.

Hi. My camera is a Canon 600D. And yes my videos are stored in the Aperture library and they are not referenced. Even then I tried to select all the videos in Aperture and clicked 'consolidate masters' and there was a messge that said all 'none of the files are referenced',... so they didn't need consolidating.
I also tried preferences> export> external video editor > choose > iMovie. And then right click on the video to edit with imovie. Even then the video didn't show up in iMovie. It seems like the only option for me is to import the videos directly to iMovie which means there will be two versions of the same file stored in my computer eating up space.

Please check that the connection to the network is active and try again."  The network appears to be fine .  I can import other songs from his library.  The same songs cause me a problem each time I try.  My husband had no trouble importing the same songs I have trouble with. I get the same error message if I try to import the same songs from my husbands computer as well.  "Command I" appears to show the same protections on both the songs I can import & the ones I cannot.  My husband and son are both running OS 10.6, while I am running 10.7.  I think I had this problem even before I upgraded, but I am not certain.

    Welcome to Apple Discussions..
My first suggestion is to Repair Disk. Here's how:
Insert Installer disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key.
Go to Installer menu (Panther and earlier) or Utilities menu (Tiger) and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
(Check S.M.A.R.T Status of HDD at the bottom of right panel, and report)
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
If DU reports errors it cannot repair you will need to use a utility like Tech Tool Pro or Disk Warrior
Please post back and let me know how that goes.
Here are a few links that may help you to identify the issues:

Please don't hesitate to post back should you have further questions or comments, or with update.
    Good luck.

  • Import some data from one oracle to another...

    Hi Guys,
we have 2 oracle database servers on 2 different machines with schema.
I want to import some data from a specific table from one oracle into another oracle.
what is the way to do that.
    Please help in details
    Imran Baig

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply.
Tables are already created in both of the oralce databases only the data varies. I just have to import only few records from one oracle to another with the same user name and table already existing.
I have tried using database link. I can view records from the other oracle database but as soon as i write an insert command oracle gets held. I cant do anything.
    Is there any other way?

The voicemail system used for the iPhone is different from the voicemail system used on the rest of the Verizon Wireless network. When you activate the iPhone, you lose your saved voicemails from the other system. When you activate a non-iphone, you lose any saved voicemails from the iPhone voicemail system too.
