After 3.0 email messages don't delete they just reappear

I'm trying to delete groups of emails from my TWC Roadrunner account and they just automatically go to Move and then keep reappearing in my box. The only way I can get rid of them is by moving a few at a time and then deleting them or deleting them one at a time.

Windows still has a command processor.
So no need for bash.
type CMD into the search box to locate it
If you can use bash I assume your familiar with CD to change folders.
One little thing I use to save typing is I locate the folder in Explorer, click beside the path so it changes to a C:\ based item and use Ctrl + C to copy it and paste it into my CMD session. CTRL+V does not work, but edit on the windows system menu does.
To rename the files, navigate to the folder they are in and Copy *.wdseml *.eml
once you do the import return and del *.eml to clear out the duplicates from the first step.

  • Messages Don't Delete - the just get "dimmed"

I am now trying to use Mac Mail after like 15 years of Eudora in Windows. I have also switched my primary e-mail account from POP to IMAP in order to make it work better with my iPhone.
The transition is going reasonably smoothly, though it appears I have a l lot to learn, either about how IMAP works or about how MacMail works. For example, MacMail seems to keep creating e-mail boxes like "sent" and "deleted messages" and "drafts" in a way that I have yet to fully comprehend.
But the issue I'm writing about now is the weird way that MacMail deletes -- or doesn't delete messages.
For example: I'm done looking at a message that lives only in my "inbox." I delete the message. For a moment, it has disappeared. But then a moment later it reappears in the inbox, only the message header is dimmed. And then the next time I look, I see that the headers and messages are fully restored, like I had never deleted them at all.
This is getting a tad infuriating, my inbox is now filling up with messages that I have deleted. *** is going on here?
Why can't I just click "delete" on a message, and have it go away?
    Thanks,
    --PS

I think I just answered my own question.
I had changed one of the settings under the "general" preferences tab to "move deleted messages to the trash mailbox." I unchecked that selection and now when I delete a message, it's gone.
But, suppose I WANT to keep deleted messages in a "trash" folder, at least until the next time I close/reopen the mail program (that's how it worked with Eudora). Why does a message that I've relegated to the "trash" folder still show up in my inbox??

  • Composing a new email message, can't delete attachment

While composing an email message, I attached a file. Realizing I attached the wrong file, I couldn't find any way to delete it, and attach the correct file instead. I had to create a brand new message in order to attach the correct file.

I played around with it some more, and have discovered what is really going on. After you add one or more attachments to a composing email, there are two different ways to select an attachement. One way is to click on the icon (the cursor will show as an arrow pointer). You can then do edit - cut, and remove the attachement. Another way is to click on the name of the file below the icon (the cursor will show as a link pointer). This will open the file and move focus to the program that the file is opened under (for instance MS Word). That was what was confusing me. However, if you move focus back to Mail (by clicking on the email you are composing) the attachement will be selected, and you can either use the delete key, or use edit/cut to delete it.

  • After installing Yosemite email messages duplicate themselves and I cannot erase them

Email messages duplicate themselves in my inbox and  in trash. When I move  a message to trash it reappears in the inbox.

You could simply delete the Gmail Account and re-add it. Try that. The only reason you wouldn't want to do that is if there are emails you have downloaded to your computer that you've deleted off Gmail's server that you want to keep. If all the emails you want to keep are already on Gmail, then deleting and re-adding the account shouldn't be aproblem

  • Messages don't delete

I use Mac Mail with Snow Leopard and I have Cox as ISP provider.  I have set Mac mail preferences in my Macmail to delete messages from server after two weeks.  This never happens.  I have to go to Webmail and delete messages page after page.  i have called Cox and they say they do not support Apple and it is a problem that Apple needs to solve.  Does anyone else have this problem?  I have tried for a long time to find an answer to this.

  • Email messages don't display in thunderbird message pane but wdseml file is good.

There are some email messages that don't display correctly in the Thunderbird message pane.
Either the pane is completely empty or chunks of html show up in the pane.
I checked the actual email file stored in:
    C:\Users\Dave\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\d976yxfm.default\Mail\pop-server\Inbox.mozmsgs
and it looks good, as the Windows 7 explorer window is able to show the email message cleanly in the preview window.
When I click on "View Source", it shows the wrong source file, I think.
The text in the "view source" window doesn't match the text in the ".wdseml" file at all.
Note: I recently migrated my C drive from a spinning hard disk to an SSD, perhaps this caused the weirdness? But, most of my email messages do display correctly, just some of them are hosed.
    Any ideas how to fix?
Currently running Windows 7, 64 bit, latest update from Microsoft (as of 3/13/2014).
    Thunderbird version 24.3.0.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

You need to configure the mail client to use IMAP instead of POP3 protocol.

  • Edits to To Dos associated with email messages don't persist

Here are the steps to replicate this problem within Apple Mail (the latest version - 4.3 on OS X 10.6.4):
    1) Select some text in an email message, and click the to do button in the toolbar to turn it into a to do. This to do now appears in the list of to dos visible when you click 'To Do' under 'Reminders' in Mail's left hand sidebar.
    2) Return to the email message, and edit the to do visible at its top. The to do text has changed when you view it via the email message, but if you again look at the list of to dos via Mail's left hand sidebar it has not - only the original to do text is visible. And if you then return to the email message, the do has returned to its original text.
Any help/pointers for investigation much appreciated

Sorry no help just noting that I have excately the same problem. However I am still on Leopard with Mail V3.6. I suspect one of the recent "security" updates screwed the way how Todo notes are shared with Mail and Ical...
I can also edit the Todo message with Ical and the changed text appears instantly in Mail. Just editing within a mail-message with the little yellow box above is not working. However I can change priority and due-dates but not the text....
weird stuff.... anyone has an idea? Thanks. Emilia

  • Email messages don't appear in the inbox

    Hello,
This morning, I sent 2 messages from my tablet and they didn't appear in the message inbox after I sent them.
I never had this problem since I purchased my new tablet a few weeks ago and suddenly this problem decided to occur.  So, I'm using my laptop to post this message here.  I already checked my WiFi and it's good and  receive emails all right. I checked my emal account in my laptop, and the 2 messages did get sent  and  appears  in the Sent Inbox(in my laptop email account).
Thank you for any tips you have to offer.   I'll check in my tablet later on to see if the problem  got worked out.

I called the support service and she told me to delete my email address and re-enter it. I have no problem since then on receiving and sending emails.

  • Old Email Messages Won't Delete

Here's an interesting situation (and a first for me): I have about 6-8 emails that I received at various times this week (ironically, at the time that my network was down from the 7.4.1 Airport Update). When I highlight each message individually, the body of the message does not appear in the preview pane, like all other messages I received before these messages, and have received since. Then, when I try to delete them, the message grays out, but will not delete from the Mail window. Any idea what causes this, and how I can delete them for good? (I like neat and tidy Mail windows...!) Thanks.

Try rebuilding the mailbox. (Select it, then choose Mailbox -> Rebuild.)

  • Email messages will not delete

I have 7 emails in my inbox that will not delete..  They keep coming back regardless of what I do to them..  I try moving them to spam, deleting...etc.  When I delete them, they do temporarily go, but come back within seconds/minutes..  I am not able to open these messages..  It just sits there and spins..  I have tried all the cache clearing multiple times.  I have even removed the app from my phone in case there a sync issue between webmail and the android app.  To me it looks like a corrupt database on the VZ/Yahoo side..  These emails are all of trustworthy origins..  What is even more frustrating than the problem, is not being able to find a contact for Verizon/Yahoo..  Kind of sucks when  you can't even email someone your issue..  I refuse to sit on hold and tell my story to 15 different people over and over..  Hopefully someone on here may know what to do.. I was hoping this would have cleared itself up over the weekend, but it is still an issue as of 2/10/14..  Problem started on Thursday 2/6/14..  It is only these 7 emails..  other emails will delete and stay deleted..  One more reason I am thinking a corrupt database on the VZ/Yahoo side.

Not familiar with your mail app.  In many the app may have a delete local and an option on whether to also delete from server option.
Are you sure the mails are really the same, and not a spammer that keeps sending them.

  • Email messages don't come in unless I

My messages won't come in unless I turn my phone off and on again.  They all come in at once then quit again.  I have to do this every time I check for messages.  Help!  It is costing me work since this is how i get my work orders.  I have a blackberry curve 8330.  My carrier is Sprint.

Yep, there is no reason for that. It sounds like you are losing your network connection or something.
Do this first:  Reboot your device in this way: With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
Then, if after a few days if the issue continues, do this:
    1. Options > Advanced > Host Routing Table > Menu > Register.
    2. Resend your service books from your carrier BIS site.
    From your handheld device: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402
    From your desktop PC: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
    3. With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot

  • Messages don't delete immediately

When I select a message in the list view and click Delete, the message info turns gray but it can take several seconds for it to be removed from the list. This started happening recently. I use Gmail and have a very large account (multi-GB). I have re-created the indexes. I have tried to pare down my account be permanently deleting lots of messages.

  • After iOS7 update, emails randomly don't send.  Any help?

iPhone 5 - This is beyond frustrating, but since I updated to iOS7 (and each susequent update, I now have 7.0.3), I'll hit send on an email, and it doesn't get sent.  It's not sitting in my Sent box, Drafts or an Outbox.  It's just gone, and the message is not sent or received.
I've talked with others that have this issue, too.
I then have to restart my phone, I can then send emails, but then it randomly happens again.
    Any help?
    Thanks,
    Kevin

    ChaseBC127,
This would frustrate me as well. I am sorry that you are having these group messages. I have heard of a few other people having these issues as well. One thing that I was told by Samsung is that the person sending the message would need to ensure that you are the first recipient in order to receive the message, but this isn't the case with all phones. We are working close with Samsung to get all issues resolved ASAP.  As soon as this issues are fully addressed it will be released to all users. I do apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.
