After 5.1 install my video out cable will not work. Message says it is not supported! Any fixes?
After installing OS5.1 my video out cable stopped working. Message says it iis not supported! Any fixes. I re booted but didn't help.
Tried cleaning the connector with electronics spray and then spray air but didn't help. I get no audio or video, just the message that the accessory is not supported.

Anybody else have this problem?Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

I have the video out cables for the iPod which, due to the recessed hole in the iPhone, wont fit. I dont mind buying a new one for my home, the only trouble is that I have one installed into my car entertainment system. The plug goes into the back of my pioneer headunits "brain" which is located behind the dashboard. Not easy at all to replace, I would truly like to avoid it.
As an alternative, does anyone know of, or have a good idea of, an extension cable that can be used to carry the video signal? This way I dont have to replace the cable, I can just use something similiar to the belkin adapter that Apple sells.
Hmm. Wonder if that belkin adapter was made knowing that the video out was going to be enabled eventually... Any ideas?You need to purchase the new apple component AV cables. The old av cables that go into the headphone jack no longer work for the new ipods and iphone. The new apple component av cables are now connected through dock connector.
I went to the apple store today and got the new Apple AV component cables, went home and plugged my phone. The cables are huge, 5 connections (component), a doc, and usb plug. You can not separate the cables at all. You also get a second charger.
All the videos that i have on my phone are my own encoded videos. They are 640x480 at 700kbps-900Kbps with 2 pass encoding. Audio at 140-160kbps.
So quality, I had my phone plugged into a standard TV. 750kbps and below is not bad but you can see some pixelation around objects from time to time. Everything above 800kbps looks as if the movie was being played from dvd. Aspect ratio is retained and everything looks pretty awesome. Controls for the movie are from the iphone. Audio is pretty good as well.
I will try connecting to my GF's HD tv and see what happens. -
Hello,i have a 6220c and i have downloaded the nokia dvb-h mobile tv,i also have the su-33w tv receiver,i have subscribed and i am able to view 10 channels on my phone but any time i connect it to my 21inch tv set via video out cable all i see on my tv is a slashed key in a blue background but the audio works well on tv,i can hear the programmes, i have updated my firmware,formated my phone,used factory default settings and hard formatted my phone and still same problem but i can view all video i have on my memory card. Yes, it says that there is an 2.5'' A/V port, however it is only for Audio. It is either a typing error or nokia changed its mind during the production and dropped the Video capability out.

How do you get the video out to TV to work on the iPhone 3GS
I cannot get the video out to TV to work on my iPhone 3GS with iOS 5.1.1.
I am using the $40.00 apple composite AV cables and nothing seems to work. With the cables connected to tv input nothing shows up in general settings for video out. Or anywhere else for that matter. I have tried many different TV's, sometimes I get audio but never never ever video . And after doing a little head scratching of their own they decided to try another set of cables, and low and behold the darn thing worked like a charm.I was very impressed by the service at the apple store even though i didnt buy either product from them. I wonder if there is a bad batch of cables floating around out there because it looks like other people out there are having the same problem, which is why i didnt really suspect the cables. A small update to this issue....
I have been trawling the forums to find an answer but to no avail...
And... I've tried exporting and bouncing individual stems and the full session, either by muting all bar the stem or soloing the stem.....and still nothing.
Same problems.....everything is audible in audition but nothing plays on playback.
Since the 'prelisten' channel strip is Solo safe this would indicate that you have a track or channel strip soloed somewhere else, out of sight. Are the Mute buttons on your channel strips blinking?
To view all objects in your mixer, click the button. You may have to scroll sideways to check the whole mixer. -
After updating my MacBook Pro to yeosemite I want my old desktop picture back. I did a full back up before the install. I found the "Settings" folder in Time machine but when I try to open it I get an error message saying "You can not open this folder. It is in TimeMachine".
Can you browse the Time Machine drive from Finder?
If you can and you know where the picture was stored ie on your desktop you can browse through the folder structure to the picture copy it and paste it somewhere on your new install before right clicking it and 'set as desktop background' -

in iTunes 11.1 (I26) , I cannot find how to delete podcast listings showing undownloaded podcasts. Delete does not work. Option Delete does not work. Dragging to the trash does not work. Under Edit, Delete is greyed out. Mac OS 10.6.8.
Tom at the Genius Bar told me that Option Delete would work. It does not.
I had to upgrade to iTunes 11.1.(I26) because it is required with OS7 on my iPod Touch (5th Gen). I have tried shutting down iTunes, then shutting down the entire system. This is the first in many visits that the Genius Bar gave me a solution that did not work.
This is a big awkward computer locked to my desk. I would rather not unlock it and then carry it through a shopping center to the Genius Bar if i can avoid oit.

Incidentally, I do not agree that the printer problem is best solved by reinstalling OS X. I have had HP printers for sometime and, on one occasion, had difficulty after an upgrade. HP technical support walked me through uninstalling all traces of the HP driver and then reinstalling.
