After 9.0.2 Update on PS-CS2 Can't Save as PSD or jpeg

After startup of my Photoshop CS2 (WinXP), I got a notice of an update of 9.0.2, so I installed it. Now when I try to save files as PSDs or JPEGs, they end up becoming 5CM files, which I can't open. I was very content with CS2 before the update. Is there a way to uninstall the 9.0.2 update, or do I have to uninstall the whole CS2 and reinstall it? Or is there another fix? Help is much appreciated; thanks.

Resolved. After updating to 9.0.2, I edited an image and saved it as a PSD, but when naming the file I put in a "3.5x4.5cm" in the file name, and it saved it as an unopenable 5CM file. I just now took the same inage and saved it as a PSD, but omitted the "3.5x4.5cm" in the file name and it saved it just fine as a PSD. The same also for the JPEG. The problem had to be in the ".5cm" ending of the file name. Doing the 9.0.2 update just happened to be the timing of the file name problem.

Illustrator CS2 Can't Save EPS Files

I'm running Illustrator CS2 on a PC with Windows XP, and while I can save Illustrator files in AI and PDF formats with no problems, and export files also without problem, when I try to save an EPS file it brings up an alert box that says "Can't save the illustration". For obvious reasons this message is not helpful in determining the problem or going about a solution. I would greatly appreciate any help as this is a problem at my workplace and I have some time sensitive projects I need to finish. Thanks in advance.

Most likely some color separation or transparency flattening thing. Could also be the order of your groups/ shapes. Just hard to tell. For testing, I would save a PDF and do a preflight check in Acrobat or other such tool. This usually reveals any problematic stuff...

CS2 - Can't "Save" or "Save As"

Illustrator CS2 operating in 10.4.11 with 3.5gb of RAM. Opened a simple bar chart to make modifications BUT when I tried to save I received error messages.
- If I try to save as an Illustrator file: "An unknown error has occured."
- If I try to save as an EPS file: "Can't save the illustration, there isn't enough memory. ID=108"
Restarted and tried again, same exact thing. Restarted again from system 10.4 disc, ran repair permissions 3 times, verified disc. Launched Illustrator and exact same thing. Created a new document and drew a key lined box, tried to save and the same error messages.
InDesign, Photoshop and Safari work no problem.
Any thoughts on what might be causing this problem and how to solve??

I did delete the program and the its preferences and re-installed Illustrator CS2 from the original discs. Restarted the computer and launched the program only to have the exact same error messages!! I would assume that the re-install and subsequent launching of the new CS2 would have created its own preferences, settings, etc BUT receiving the exact same error messages leads me to believe that the newly installed program is utilizing some files from the deleted Illustrator.
I was reluctant to delete any file that contained "Illustrator" as I have read that the CS2 Suite share some files. Could not find in depth documentation as to specific files to delete.

After updating my iphone I can't save photos anymore.

After updating my iPhone to the iOS 5 , it does not save any photos I take. If I go to my camera roll a black screen appears.Or it simply says no photos have been saved.

I am beyond frustrated. I have 1700 contacts on my treo 680 and no one can tell me how to get those contacts into my iphone.
You need to sync or transfer your Palm contact information from the Palm Desktop software on your Mac to the Address Book application. This can be done with the iSync application on your Mac located in your Applications folder.
Also, when I sync my iphone to my Imac, not all the contacts from the Imac appear on the iphone.
Resetting the sync history on your Mac may resolve this, with instructions for doing so included with my previous post in this thread.
I used MobilMe because it was supposed to sync my email, calendar and contacts. All it did was to wipe out many of the contacts I had already put into the iphone.
Which is normal when first turning on over the air syncing for contact information with your MobileMe account on your iPhone.
You need to first sync contact information available in the Address Book on your Mac with your MobileMe online address book before turning on over the air syncing for contact information with your MobileMe account on your iPhone.
After doing so, contact information will be kept synchronized between your iPhone's address book, your MobileMe online address book, and the Address Book on your Mac - as long as you enable automatic syncing for contact information via your MobileMe account settings on your Mac.

IPhone is stuck in recovery mode after I tried to update it. What can I do?

This reply isn't to shorty2006, that post was awhile ago. This is for everyone that updates itunes and gets an error that their phone is now in Recovery mode.
I've been researching all night and even thought about downloading several different things that were suppose to get my phone out of "Recovery" mode. Then I thought about taking my phone to the Apple store after work tomorrow. I then found this blog and read coltonkj's entry and tada! I took a big breath and hit "restore". It worked, it put me back to the page where you can select to restore the last back-up. Shooooo!!!!

HT6065 I installed this update. I have never had problems with "multiple prompts to unlock "Local items" keychain" until after I installed this update. Now, I can't get it to STOP prompting me.

So how do I fix this? How do I get this to go away? It's prompting me for a password that I haven't ever set up!

I have the same problem with three pop-up prompts:
(1) com.apple.iCloudHelper wants to use the "login" keychain. Please enter the keychain password.
(2) CalendarAgent wants to use the "login" keychain. Please enter the keychain password.
(3) AddressBookSourceSync wants to use the "login" keychain. Please enter the keychain password.
I can enter my login password and the prompt goes away for a little while, but eventually returns. Or I can click on "Cancel" many multiple times and it goes away for a little while, but returns again.
I want a solution too and hope this additional information will help.

Hi, I had the same problem and I found that you don't need a serial number anymore. Here is what I did:
(1)I went to Applications fodder on my Mac. (You can navigate to the Application folder from 'New Finder Window.')
(2) Deleted Pages (installed as part of the free free trial version) from the Applications Folder. Also deleted 'IWorks' from the Applications folder.
(3) Started AppStore.
(4) Clicked on Purchases.
(5) Clicked on Pages.
(6) Clicked Install.
(4) repeated (5) and (6) for Numbers and Keynote

Surprisingly,i am able to do so on my system without any adobe plug ins disabled or any registry editing.

A book is a lot of work and in the end needs to not only be openable, printable, but also be laid out with facing pages amongst other numerous desirable features.
None of which suggest Pages 5 to me.
If you want to persist in Pages 5.5 you will have to laboriously cut and paste the content into one file and hope that will still be usable when you are finished.
Or you could export to Pages '09 or pdf format and assemble it there.

Premiere Pro CS3 capture error after Aug 09 vista update

im using premiere pro cs3 on two PC's running vista. after the last vista update last week, i can no longer import HDV or DV from my HV30. both PC's detect the camera and ask to import into windows movie maker or other programs, but when i open premiere pro cs3 and click on capture, both PC's refuse to acknowledge that a camerat attached. is anyone else having this error? if so, have anyone found a soultion to this error?

Strange as it might sound, I'd also install the latest audio and video drivers. OS updates can kill these in a heartbeat. Test afterwards.
It sounds like Vista is seeing the camera OK, but I'd check just a bit deeper. Go to Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager (or whatever Vista might call it?), and with your camera attached and turned on, navigate to it. Open up the window for that device and check every panel. Any warnings, or errors anywhere?
In PrPro, check all of the Capture Preferences. Anything amiss there? Anything changed, since the update?
As a test, create a current Restore Point (do not trust that Vista has done this for you - do it manually to be sure), and then choose a Restore Point from before the Update (I'd actually go back several, if possilbe). Use that and test again. Does PrPro now see the camera and does it Capture as before? If the earlier examinations do not point up something, and this test shows that PrPro CAN Capture, you have at least narrowed it down to the Vista update.

Photoshop CS2 issue after 0.4.6 update

I used software update to install the 10.4.6 update. was running 10.4.5 before that.
Photoshop now crashes after I save tifs/psds/dcs's. If i use save for web, it does not crash. The files that are saving when it crashes seem okay (good thing!) but it is annoying to have to keep opening, besides what internal damage this process is doing.
Anyone have a fix?

I am saving to a Appletalk-mounted volume.
When opening a file from said server, and saving to the desktop, it crashes, too.
When opening from the desktop and saving to the desktop, it does not crash. I guess I am being further forced from working off of the server : (
(I know that Adobe officially does NOT support saving over a network).

What you need to do is start up in window 7 and insert the snow leopard dvd and install boot camp 3.0 and after that you can install 3.1 update.
