After a network hijacking, I removed the link to the non-existant proxy server, but all sites are now missing components, ie buttons, thumbnails, backgrounds, etc.

A site downloaded a program which warned of corruption; spyware,
viruses, etc., on my system and that an attack was going on now.
I located the program file, deleted it and stopped the process.
Afterwards, HTTP connections (in Firefox and IE) could not
complete. After disabling the use of the Proxy Server in both,
IE now works correctly, but Firefox loses many components of a
page, and generates many Warnings in the Error Log with
"Declaration Dropped". Some other setting was changed, but I
can't locate what. (It would be great if there was a wizzard
which compared all the settings to "recommended" values, and
warned if different and the effect.)
(Also, a log of which settings have been changed and when.)

According to your description, it seems like 3rd app process startup with Windows caused this problem.
In my opinion, it would be better to use Autoruns to check Window Startup items if there is any IE activX start with IE.

When I merged my iPhone and iPad contact info., I lost all of the names that my messages were posted under. All conversations are now posted under phone numbers.

When setting up some iCloud info., agreed to merge iPhone and iPad contact info., and now most of my iPhone messages are listed by phone numbers, rather than by the person's name. I'm not sure what you mean about downloading photos with iPhoto being double handling, but you can download direct to a folder with Image Capture. Image Capture can also be used to delete photos from the Camera Roll on the iPhone or iPad (preferrably after they are downloaded).
You can remove the photos you synced from your phone with iTunes by syncing again with an empty folder, That will delete all the photos that were previously synced that way, replacing them with the contents of the empty folder (that is, nothing). This will not effect photos takes with the camera on your iPhone.

I've been restoring my iTunes folder from a backup hard drive to a new computer on which I've downloaded the latest iTunes (10.7). If this is a newer version than the one I backed up with could this be the problem? (I had the latest (to my knowledge) iTunes when I backed up the folder about 3 weeks ago, was this version 10.7?)
Or is the version of iTunes (within recent updates) not an issue when restoring a library?

The general method of use is to download the script to a folder of your choice, e.g. your Desktop, Downloads folder or create a folder at ...\iTunes\Scripts. Select a playlist or highlight some tracks in iTunes and then double-click on the script to execute it. If no specific tracks are selected the script will try to work with all tracks in the current playlist. Some scripts offer a choice of track by track confirmation of changes or fully automatic processing of the selection. Many of the scripts can optionally display a progress bar while running.
You are strongly advised to backup your entire library, or at the very least the iTunes Library.itl file, before use. Test the behaviour of your chosen script on a small group of files first to make sure it does what you want before applying it to large numbers of files.
Most builds of Windows will execute *.vbs scripts when you double-click them. If that doesn't happen then you might need to visit the Add/Remove Programs or Programs & Features control panel to enable the Windows Scripting Host. I can track down details if you have issues.
Backing up and restoring data is an area that is often glossed over. Most people don't try to learn much about it until they've lost something important. (Me too )
If your iTunes library was in the usual layout then normally copying the whole iTunes folder from the User's Music folder in the old computer to the User's Music folder in the new one will usually work fine. Ideally this is done before iTunes is installed so that there is no empty library to replace, and all settings are picked up from the old library. This post contains more details.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

gman... if it's the navigation menu you're talking about. You deselect them by going to the inspector window found in the VIEW menu in iWeb.
Wen you get the inspector window, click on the page you want to edit in the SITE ORGANIZER on the left of the screen. Then, in the INSPECTOR WINDOW click on the page organizer, it looks like a page at the top of the window. There will be a box there that says "include page in navigation menu"... if you don't want this page to appear at the top of the pages in iWeb, make sure it's not checked.
Save your changes and republish.

Is it possible to change the link to the WMP of the Play/Pause and Stop Button?
Because by software only the Network and Media Buttons are changable.
And I don't prefer WMP to be my favorite media player.

I used to have this problem too. When pressing +play/pause+ button on my +Satellite+ always wmp start. I used RM-X media to configure media keys, or Global Hotkeys in Winamp to solve this problem, but in case of +play/pause+ it was still the same. I found simple solution how to use this key in Winamp - assaying Winamp as default media player in Control panel/Add remove programs. And then in specific application edit file associations.

I would like to edit and change the links in the top nav bar on my enterprise wiki.
Currently the links are "About this wiki" and "Recent" a drop down menu with links.
I would like to change "About this wiki" to a "Home" page link and remove the "Recent" drop down menu and links. I also would like to be able to add more links to the to the top nav bar.
I there anyway I can do this one an enterprise wiki site?

I try to reproduce the issue, however, my enterprise wiki site don’t have the drop down menu.
How did you add the Recent link?
How did you create the drop down menu?
Did you use the seattle master page or olso master page?
It will be better if you can descript more detail and provide some screenshots.
You can use JavaScript to add and remove the items in the drop down menu.

Re Create the task:
1. Open Safari
2. Go to the desired website/address
3. Click the send icon at the bottom (Square with arrow pointed up)
4. Click Message
5. Add contact in "To:" line
6. Hit send
It locks up and lags here on me and the message never shows up at the contacts phone/imessage/etc.

Getting exception while clicking any of the link in the .xhtml page

I have an issue while clicking any of the link from the .xhtml page. The page have three <h:selectOneMenu> selection box and some hyperlinks. First time screen loading properly with values populated in these <h:selectOneMenu> selection box. After that if i click any of the link i will get below exception. This is working fine if my backing bean is in session. I changed the backing bean from session to request scope i got this exception.

So the f:selectItems list is empty in the next request. Rewrite your bean code so that it prefills the list in the constructor or initialization block or even by lazy loading in the getter of the f:selectItems.

When I select one of the advertised links in a google search, the tab flashes and looks likes it's loading but nothing happens. If I copy/paste the link into the address bar it works OK. It also works correctly using IE.

I have created a menu structure according to the requirements
and it is as followed:
Responsibility Menu

Home Page (attached to Responsibility Menu)
|
HTML Tab (attached to Home Page, with prompt)
|
HTML Sub Tab (attached to HTML Tab, with prompt)
|
HTML SideBar(attached to HTML Sub Tab)
|
Function (attached to HTML SideBar, prompt given for function Test Sidebar)
After creating the above menu structure the link in the sidebar is not shown.
(the sidebar is not shown at all)
(the tab with the horizontal navigation is shown and the test side is shown)
(I have also bounced apache, but it does not help)
Does anyone have any ideas of how I can get this working?
(we use 11.5.10)
