Hi,
After a Server OS Rebuild I have tried to the best of my ability to recreate everything as it was.
I have a few Remote computers that are having ERROR ID 5513 (IE Reestablish trust)
I have usually simple deleted the account on client workstation and rejoin a domain.
But this user's PC is setup alot more advanced than the standard workstations and I would perfer to keep the desktop and other parts of this account as is..
Is there a way I can allow this 1 PC to rejoin the domain? and thus stop the server generating the 5513 Error ID when she tries to connect to her account.

Hi, did you lost the AD ? If yes it's more complex, as the user SID no longer fit. I would maybe try to rejoin the computer to the domain and then use the newly created account, after you copy the old profile to the new profile's location. Under Vista and
+ coping a profile that way is no longer supported, but it usually work.
Keep the user a local admin in case the profile copy kept link to the old profile.

Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried, until the problem is resolved.
Step 1
Restart the router. Many problems are solved that way.
Step 2
Change the name of the wireless network, if applicable, to eliminate any characters other than letters and digits. You do that on your router via its web page, if it's not an Apple device, or via AirPort Utility, if it is an Apple device.
Step 3
Run the Network Diagnostics assistant.
Step 4
Back up all data.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Enter the name of your wireless network in the search box. You should have one or more "AirPort network password" items with that name. Make a note of the name and password, then delete all the items. Quit Keychain Access. Turn Wi-Fi off and then back on. Reconnect to the network.

Step 6
Make a note of all your settings for Wi-Fi in the Network preference pane, then delete the connection from the connection list and recreate it with the same settings. You do this by clicking the plus-sign icon below the connection list, and selecting Wi-Fi as the interface in the sheet that opens. Select Join other network from the Network Name menu, then select your network. Enter the password when prompted and save it in the keychain.
Step 7
Reset the System Management Controller (SMC).

MacBook Pro failing to start up after fairly recent 10.8.4 update. Just grey screen with Apple logo displayed and then hangs.

After having to do a forced shut down (holding down power button) due to freezing I cannot again progress past the grey screen with the apple logo. The spinning cog comes on at first then disappears leaving just the apple logo (in case that is sognificant).
I have tried to find a solution through the support pages but have unfortunately been unsuccessful in my endeavours so do apologise I have overlooked the obvious and would really appreciate some help. I've just started the second year of my Uni and the timing couldn't be worse.
I have tried the following:
1) held down option and started in "recovery 10.8.4" from which I used disk utility to "repair disk", which at first needed some repairs and then I ran it again for the second time to confirm it had a clean bill of health.
2) I then ran "repair disk permissions" and repeated a second time to confirm it was all working well (however one error remained "warning: SUID file "system/library/CoreS... has been modified and will not be repaired" but have read that this should not be a big problem) After which I tried to start up again and it hung with the apple logo on the grey screen.
3) tried resetting the PRAM by holding down cmd+option+P+R before powering up, but it only chimes once and then restarts the mac, then chimes once and repeats the process again in and endless cycle.
4) I then tried 1 and 2 again and then tried to reinstall OSX 10.8.4 from the recovery mode, but this came up with the message "could not find installation information for this machine".
5) I tried starting up in safe mode by holding down shift after the chime at startup but safe mode did not start after leaving it 3 hours.
6) I tried starting in verbose mode with cmd+V but after running the script it reverts back to the grey screen.
I hope I have explained it in enough detail and appreciate any direction or thoughts as to it being salvageable and what to try next.

In relation to the first article entitled "Resolve startup issues and perform disk maintenance with Disk Utility and fsck"
I can confirm that i was not able to start in safe mode but was able to boot up in recovery mode and run disk utility. The only one i hadn't tried is fsck. Please correct me if I am wrong, but if from what I understand by the article, this is to be used if I could not run disk utility, with which I have been able to do and to repair both the disk and permissions. But again, if I've missed the obvious from that article please correct me.
Te second article entitled "Troubleshooting Startup and Login Items" identifies troubleshooting that should be carried out in safe mode. However I am unfortunately unable to start in safe mode and have not been able to progress past the apple logo since this problem started.
Thank you for both links and for taking the time to share. If though I have missed something more significant in this regard I would appreciate your feedback.

You two can share an Apple ID for iTunes and App Store, but you need to set up different iCloud IDs (well only one person needs a different iCloud ID).
On one of the phones go to
Settings > iCloud
scroll down and delete that account.
Now go back to those settings and set up a new ID.
The advantage is that you can still purchase music and apps with the original Apple ID account so both phones can share that information. Only the iCloud information will be separate. However, this also means that calendars, notes, and photos in photostream will not be shared because those are specific to one iCloud account.

In the process of setting up the new Apple ID, select the option to create a free @me account. That way, you can also sync your notes.

Every single app including iTunes, safari forces close after ten minutes of activity? I have closed all apps with minus button and still closes

Every app on my iPad force closes including safari, and iTunes, it seems ir forces close after fifteen minutes of opening the app or iPad apps. I have tried using the double click start button to close all running apps but it still force closes and I've noticed that when I reopen an app after it foreclosed I will get a black screen and will have to close open and close and open in order to get any app running again. I know you can't get a virus but I am wondering. I am hoping I won't have to reset and lose everything I have. My memory is too low for backup. But if I have to reset can someone tell me what the reset does and if backup would restore on the reset. Ive tried everything clearing cashe cookies, history. Please help this is very frustrating especially when your in the middle of writing a paper and it force closes on me. I have never hooked it to a pc so not sure i would get a virus and I haven't used iCloud. If you have any suggestions can you tell me exactly what I need to do to fix this. I can no longer view my Army Enterprise Email, after some recent updates. I am using Ubuntu 12.10, with firefox 25.0(?) any ideas? My email is [removed]

I used to be able to access my Army Email with my CAC card. Recently I lost that ability. Are there any known issues regarding this with your recent updates? Would that reset button be the solution? I haven't tried it because I don't know what I would lose if I clicked on it.

I have a few errors with Firefox Home that have recently began to appear.

Firefox Sync always tells me the password is wrong on my account and it cannot sync. I then have to uninstall everything, install Firefox Home and syn with a new password etc. Secondly, when I open some of my bookmarks on my Iphone 4s a the web page appears for about 2 seconds then a blank page loads with the google + in the top left hand corner and I cannot reload the bookmark?I am running Windows 7, ios 5.0.1 Firefox 10.0 and the latest Firefox Home app 1.1.1.

I have an Ipad 2 with battery issues.

I recently got this Ipad 2 with know battery issues. It works only when plugged into the a/c outlet. When I first plug it into the a/c charge the Dead battery icon appears on the screen. A short while later the battery indicator show the battery at 100%. If I unplug it from the a/c charger it shuts off. I've already try a restore as well as reconditioning the battery. My question is how do I know if the charging port is the problem, or is it the battery or something else? Again, Ipad was purchased with "know battery" problem. I'm trying to fix it myself. I've already opened the ipad and I'm looking for someone's expertise.

Connecting through email is extremely important these days donhinson. Let's get this fixed today. I first recommend removing the email account and readding it back to your device.This will help reset the settings. Listed below are steps to check the email settings, outgoing, and incoming servings.
1.From a home screen, select Apps (located in the lower-right).

Time machine issues after installing lion server

I have a macbook pro and an imac in my home network, both running lion 10.7.3.
For some time, I used time machine to back up the macbook over ethernet to an external usb drive attached to the imac, which worked fine.
A couple of days ago, I installed the server.app on the imac, but disabled all services after a couple of days.
But now, all of a sudden, I can't complete my time machine backups anymore, I get this error message:
"Time Machine could not complete the backup. The network backup disk does not support the required AFP features."
I am not sure what to do here,

I am having a similar issue, but in my situation, my users cannot log in. All of my users are network users on Mini's. I am running 10.6.8 on my server. I have created users before with no issues, but have not done so in months. When I try to log the new user in, I get the following error:

There is no bluetooth connectivity issue after the recent OS update. There may be a problem with your phone, which may or may not be related to the update. A "common problem" looks like this in the forums:
I haven't seen any threads on BlueTooth with over 1.4 million views and over 12,000 replies, or even any vaguely close. For any problem that someone has there is bound to be someone else amoung 150 million users who have it. That doesn't make it a "common problem."
If you tell us what the problem is specifically and what you have done so far to try to resolve it someone can probably help you.

Serious log in issues after installing Lion Server

Hi all,
I am relatively inexperienced with software involving essentially anything technical, so you will have to pardon my ignorance.
I am currently trying to set-up a wireless network at home using Lion Server, and it would appear I have bitten off more than I can chew. I installed Lion Server on Tuesday, and have been battling with it ever since - attempting to use a 'We Got Served' guide to walk me through.
I installed the Server app on my iMac as I figured the 3 computers on the network would not require very much space, and so there would be little point in buying a whole new machine to run it from. Whilst I was having little luck in making it work as I had hoped - I have now managed to completely lock the iMac. Since it's installation I have had no issue logging in and out of my actual account on OSX, however earlier the computer froze following an Adobe update and I was forced to do a hard restart. However, when I attempted to log back in I now get the following error:
"You are unable to log in to the user account "xxxx" at this time.
Logging in to the account failed because an error occurred."
I have tried everything in my limited knowledge to rectify this, and nothing works it would seem. I've read examples of this happening when trying to log into the actual server app, or where the hard drive is corrupt on the machine itself - this seems to be a hybrid of the two.
I can no longer open the computer in Safe Mode, however when I go into Disk Utility all disks when verified appear to be absolutely fine with disc repair making no difference. The only available drive is now listed as a Server drive so I cannot even re-install Lion on there.
This is causing me much distress as I can as far as I can tell not only log into my computer, but can do nothing to repair the issue bar erasing everthing from it. There is a lot of important data on there and I am confident that it is not actually corrupt, however Server seems to have just locked it completely.
Help would be much appreciated!
