After a reset my ipad keeps freezing

Please help!  I tried to reset my daughter's ipad2 after having problems with it repeatingly freezing trying to delete apps.  During the reset the ipad seemed to proceed through the normal process but is now switching itself on and off.  It remains on a home page which you cannot do anything with.  We've tried charging and connecting to iTunes but as she hasn't an up-to-date version of iTunes we're stuck!  Any thoughts?

Try reset all settings
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings for Wi-Fi, FaceTime, Message, Home Sharing, Wall Paper, Sound etc will be reset

Ipad keep freezing up ?? Even after all the resets . .  Etc.  am I toast ?

"so I did a hard reset, tried to restore it. But not I cannot not even open my iPad"
Just to reiterate what Tedfixit said - I would book an appointment at the Genius Bar as well. If you restored it and it is still acting up, the device should be evaluated.

  • HT5137 My ipad keeps freezing

My ipad keeps freezing. The home button doesnt work and there is space left on the ipad. Turning it off and on again only works in so far as I can access 1 app before it freezes again. Can anyone help please?

Hope this helps, I have narrowed down my iPad freezing issue to downloading movies at least in my case a rental movie. 60 seconds after turning on my download my iPad freezes. initially did not notice this because I thought it was already downloaded in the background. But when I tried to watch the download I couldn't. So that she had tried pausing the download, and guess what no more freezing. Restart the download and 60 seconds later it freezes again. Not sure why this is happening but that seems to be the solution for my ipad. I will try to update after contacting Apple and figuring out a solution.
out to do this I reset my iPad using the technique of holding the off button and home button for 10 seconds. Then when it rebooted I immediately went into the iTunes store and purchased tab and then pause the download of the movie. In my case it was the movie loan survivor.

My iPad keeps freezing up every time I try to play games. Any suggestions?

Do you get freezes with non-game apps? How much free/available space do you have?

My iPad keeps freezing then it plinks andi lose all of my ( sites that I have open ) please help

If it's happening on all the apps that you've downloaded from the App Store, but not the Apple built-in ones, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.

    1. Close all inactive apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
    2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple Logo.

  • My iPad keeps freezing!  Any idea why?  iCloud storage is completely 100% available.

My iPad keeps freezing.  iCloud storage is completely empty.  I have 2.3 GB available of the total 13.6.  Please help!!  This is starting to become a pain in my butt.

With iOS 7 it is recommended that you have 15-20% of the storage space on the device free.  For a 16 GB device that is 2.4-3.2 GB free. I suggest that you delete some stuff to allow for more free space on your iPad. It will run better.

  • IPad keeps freezing and flashing and jumping to other apps

My Iliad mini is one year old. About 3 months ago it started acting up. It flashes on and off within an app. Sometimes in a game it makes moves for me. I tried updating but I keep getting an error because the update never completes.

What iOS version are you using? iOS 7.1 supposedly corrected this.
Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

  • It seems that since I have downloaded the update that my ipad keeps freezing up

It seems as though every since I download the new update my ipad 7.0.6 keep freezing anyone having this problem

Try taking a "fresh start" approach. Close all of your apps and reset the iPad.
To close an app, drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
