After a restore, can we get the software back ?
iTunes store is still not available in my country, however I managed to buy the jan software upgrade using my daughter's iTunes account. I have been asked by my friend, who bought a new version of iTouch with this softwares pre-installed. Would he get the softwares back if he does a Restore, bear in mind he does not have an account with iTunes Store.

Well, you can do that, but your iPad will be totally erased and you will have to start from scratch. You need to backup your iPad and sync with iTunes before you install the update, because the updating process will erase the iPad completely. The reason that you should use your own computer is so that you can restore from the back and then sync all of your content back to the iPad.
You might want to think about the bigger picture and do something to move some of your files off of your home computer because if the hard drive is full, you are going to have computers problems as well, down the road. There are many inexpensive external hard drives available and you might want to take a look at one. -

Can't get the software to work with Audigy 2
Hi, I have had my Audigy 2 ZS going on a year now and haven't had any problems. I recently made a clean install of Windows XP and upgraded to SP2 and all that. Now, I can get sound out of the card but can't get the software to work at all; cannot get the volume slider bar to appear when I click the icon (it appears in the task bar though and I get a small gray square where the slider should appear), the surround mixer does not show when I double click the volume icon, EAX conxole is a no go, get an empty error box when I try to start the Equaliser.
I have tried everything from simple re-install to clean sweep to praying to the pagan gods. I have alsoo tried updating the drivers of course.
I run XP on an Intel MoBo (on-boeard sound deactivated), 52RAM, ATI 9700 ALL-IN-WONDER.
DOES THE CREATIVE SOFTWARE DEPEND ON ANY WEIRD LITTLE WINDOWS SERVICE OR SETTING THAT I MIGHT HAVE CHANGED DURING SETUP?
This is quite infuriating as any idea I come up with takes up a lot of time in installation, uninstallation and clean up. It worked before, why not now?
Thanks in advance. dentoreOk I got it to work. This is the reply I got from Creative but I didn't remove the program from the add/remove option on the PC b/c that didn't work at first. I inserted the installation CD and remove it from that wizard. Rebooted and the PC found new hardware. I then installed the driver and software from the CD and now it works.
For Mediasource. It appears something was corrupted in Mediasource or there is a conflict within the system.Please uninstall all software and drivers for the soundcard, from add/remove programs. Once this is done, shut down the system and changePCI slots for the soundcard, then turn the system back on, cancel the found new hardware wizard, disable all background applications (especially virus scanner, firewall, and any other background applications running in the bottom right hand corner of the system), andthen perform a full reinstallation of the drivers and software from the soundcard installation cd.

I accidentaly put my iPod in recovery mode. I have tried to get the software back on it but when I try to download it to my computer, right before it finishes downloading it says "Connection Timed Out". It always happens. I have tried it over many times. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
You can kick it out of Recovery Mode by using RecBoot,

If you are able to you should sign out using the Cloud manager program before you reset. YOu will be able to download again after the rest if you need to.

This is a silly question, but I cannot fix it! The icons that appear on my photos after I edit them, have gone away. The only way I can see them is in the Grid view.
How can I get the icons back on the thumbnail photos of the full gallery that is loaded? TIA =)You have likely dragged the size of the filmstrip thumbnails to a small size that prevents Lightroom from displaying the badges. Using your mouse, mouse over the top line of the filmstrip and then drag it supports to increase the size.

I have Windows XP and downloaded Firefox 4.0.1. After it was installed 5/7/11, I noticed all my Yahoo search bar apps were missing. Rebooting did not help. Neither did the "gear" on the toolbar next to the yellow Yahoo search box. Internet Explorer browser still shows them. How can I get the apps back in Firefox?

If you don't have a backup then the only possible solution is to go back to the store and see if they can get your old phone and create a backup of that. I know very often that Apple employees will wipe the returned iPhones clean before shipping them back to wherever they ship them.
When you say your old phone was "broken" does this mean it is dead and won't turn on?
Do you have a Time Machine backup of your computer, or a clone that might have this info on it?
Other than that I hate to say you may be out of luck. Time Machine and/or a cloning program performed regularily will inevitably save your a** in situations like this.

If you want help you’ll need to give us more information. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.
