After Adobe Flash Player downloaded, there was no installer dialogue showed up

I was trying to download the Adobe Flash Player into my Mac (with OS 10.6.8) via Safari. After pressed the download button, it seemed the Adobe flash player was downloading - I could see the green strip was moving, and the time was changing. After the strip was filled by the green, the box was frozen. The box was blank, with "downloads" on the top. No installer dialogue showed up. Did any one have this issue before? How to fix it? Once it is saved, close all your browser windows and double click on it.

Don't DL Flash from web sites. If you have Adobe Flash installed it should be in System Preferences and you can find the latest version and download from there.
If you are installing for the first time,this is where to DL it.

Thanks for your help, but that didn't do any good either. I have been double clicking from the download files, double clicking on the "install adobe flash player", closing the anti virus, closing Safari, watching the install progress and clicking finish. It indicates that "flash player" is installed, but every time I try to view something requiring flash player, it tells me I must download it. It shows up in the "system preference" and from there I can make some changes, but it still won't let me view anything requiring "flash player". It does not show up in my apps like Adobe Reader does. It shows up in the "downloaded files" section of "Finder". I'm getting really perplexed over my inability to get this right.

Adobe Flash Player 11.4 quits working, won't show videos even after reinstalling.

Had Adobe Flash Player 11.3 r300 and it stopped showing videos, etc. in Firefox a few days ago. Now I've installed v 11.4 r402 and it still gives error message "Adobe Flash Player ... has stopped working." I uninstalled, downloaded again and reinstalled -- with the same result. No videos. The instructions in the 11.3 crash article on installing the 10.3 don't tell you that the Active X Flash version must also be installed because the Adobe Uninstaller uninstalls ALL installed Flash and certain programs require that to work properly. I reported this two months ago and although I was thanked for it it was ignored by Staff and only corrected in the viewing videos problem article, which links to the crash article. If I have to do the job of Staff I'm happy to oblige, since there is no excuse for this. I actually corrected this same error by a Mozilla QA engineer who left out this same step in her testing on a bug report, and I got the expected result, she didn't.
jscher2000's recommendations are good, I'm only supplementing the crash article instructions for anyone who needs that.

Go to the App Store and download a browser app like Puffin, which will give you some Flash ability. Check the App store to see if the site you are trying to watch the video from has an App.

You haven't actually asked a question, but as stated you should only download Flash Player directy from Adobe.
Nor have you said what version of OS X and Safari you are running.
You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version,10.3 or later, is for Intel Macs only, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Version 11.0.1.152 is for Lion.

You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

firefox will not load up adobe flash player download page.
Will load the site, but not the download links.
This was a previous problem in firefox 4 so I had to fall back to 3.6,
that eventually got fixed so I came back to 4, updated with version 5.... and here it is again, same problem.
Any fixes or recommendations would be helpful.

Your MacBook Air running Yosemite will need an updated version of the Flash Player plugin to play web content that is in the Flash format (not all video content is Flash; there is also HTML5 video, amongst others). Send a stiff email to Weight Watchers to suggest they need to remove their software videos from the FAT and BLOATED Flash container and trim down to HTML5 in the future if they want to stay on program.
In the mean time you are going to have to employ work arrounds with your iPad.
Try the Skyfire browser app, This can convert some flash content remotely into a viewable format playable by Quicktime on your iPad.
Its not however guaranteed to work on DRM protected material and its very likely these Weight Watchers videos are so protected I am afraid to say.
Other apps such as iSwiffer attempt streaming of flash but are slowed due to band width.
You could also use a VNC type app such a Splashtop to stream direct from your PC to your IPad however sound is not guarranted to work with these apps.
Finally the most satisfactory solution at the moment plunk yourself down in front of a PC/Mac or Linux box and watch the flash their.
