After an iPad update yesterday I sent a video and it is not viewable just black screen but sound is there. I sent it to my windows 7 laptop and there it is not viewable at all the start button appears crossed through.only works on apple PC

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

Hello folks!!!. I found out a solution. I simply take the start button off with a screwdriver and now the trackpad works properly. Since it initializes automatically when the computer turns on, the magic trackpad works without the need of using the start button. The only drawback is that there is a loss of aesthetic because the trackpad has now a gap, which was occupied by the button, but it is not easy to notice. It seems to be a better solution than that given by the apple customer service, which was to pay a new one.

Is your phone jailbroken?
If it is then try plugging it back into the computer and opening up redsnow again and doing a reboot. You can do this by clicking on extras then click just boot and proceed to dfu mode. Once you've done that process try plugging it back into a wall outlet and see if it charges normally.
If your phone is NOT jailbroken try letting your phone charge overnight. I've had this problem before and it was working fine the next morning after rebooting the phone.

After updating to 8.1.2 my iPad continues to restart. I tried resetting all the settings and this didn't work. I tried rebooting by holding the start button & power button and it didnt work either. The problem has actually worsened. I can no longer use my iPad.
You need to restore the iPad.
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support
If that will not work, you will need to use Recovery Mode to restore.

I just got an Iphone 5, and it requested an update. I plugged it in and connected it to my home wifi and now I can not use it at all. The only thing that shows on the screen is the itunes symbol. I tried to hold the start button and the enter button, but that does nothing. I have pictures and videos on the phone, is there any way to retrieve them?
Plug it into your computer and restore it. It is in recovery mode. Anything that was on the phone is already gone. If the pictures and videos were not backed up, then there is no way to retrieve them.

This isn't a Firefox issue, it sounds more like a Windows problem. It's possible you set your taskbar to auto-hide, so try mousing down to the bottom of the screen, does your taskbar with the start button show? If so, right click it, click properties, then un-check "Auto-hide taskbar".

Why do all the unused icons appear in a box on the navigation bar after I download a file?
Since the last Firefox upgrade last week a large box of all the unused icons appears on the navigation bar after I download a file. If I click on this box, the previous download information appears. The icons in the box aren't useable. This box doesn't appear when I first open Firefox. The box is so big it crowds out the other items in the navigation bar. Any ideas?
This issue is caused by a broken extension that isn't working properly and that doesn't support the current Firefox release.

I got a PDF file that has multiple links/buttons and I'm placing into an InDesign CS2 document with other items and then exporting out as another PDF for a digital edition magazine. I want to retain all the links/button once I export?

I cannot find information to help me change the orientation of a video filmed in portrait format but it can only able to be played back lying on its side (landscape) instead of upright. All the rotation buttons for iPhoto are not 'engaged' when it is in video .

I tried the Export function but it would not allow me to choose the option of exporting to iMovie. I think you are right about needing Quicktime Pro. I opened iMovie and imported the clip from iPhoto and with some searching found the 'cropping, rotation' mechanism. So I now have a copy in the correct orientation. I plan to import/export it back to iPhoto because I want to have a copy on my iPhone to show people and I wanted to have it available as part of a slideshow I am making in iPhoto of my recent overseas trip. It is a pain that there is no simple orientating tool for the movie clips downloaded to iPhoto with the photos from the one camera. -
Not having ALL the sub links appearing on top of page? Please help...
Is there any way to set up a "main" page for the photo gallery on iWeb, and have that particular page link to various sub pages, without having all the sub galleries appear in the link section at the top of the page?
To be more clear, I am a graphic designer and when I am in "Design" and you click on "Identities" it takes you to a new page with a logo, then you click next, see the next one...ect...but all these sub pages appear.... I just want "Design" to be up there, not all the sub pages.

My iMac will not always start after pressing the start button in the rear, sometimes I need to push 3 or 4 times for the pc to engage and start then will work fine up until next day when it may start properly or will need 3 or 4 pushes at the rear start button. Why is this happening? pls help!
I have the same issue since long time now..it started since was new and i took it to one Apple repair service among other issues i had and they couldn't repair it. i finally im in progress now to find by my self what is happening..AC is never stable and power supplies have a tolerance to work inside this tolerance. And this is is their work too..to stable and convert ac to dc to make a pc work.so i dont think is something at your wall outlet..
unless you are using some kind of UPS..and dont fuctioning properly.. Start up button works for a moment giving a power commant to logic board to open the power supply..in generally
If something not meet that never start up.. Among other issues that maybe from hard drive and many more if the power button is fail you will need a new housing.. Apple say that.
