After installing an itunes update I found my playlists were missing. I contacted support and they couldn't help. Can I use my classic ipod to resore my playlists?

OK, so a couple of things:
Did you delete the iCloud account and re-add it with the updated AppleID? If not, then do so.
Also, try resetting the iPad - hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them until the Silver Apple appears. Then recheck your photostream.

My drummer tack regions are missing and I dont know how to get them back.
I set up my drummer track for a song I was working on and when I opened the project today the drummer track is there but there are no regions. Nothing to edit. and no drums playing. I really need to get these back. I spend a load of time editing every part of this song. I cant do it over.
I have never had regions disappear on me without my own action - it is surprisingly easy to loose lots of regions due to just one hit on the delete button. Especially if you have the default "select regions on track selection" preference still enabled. I would advise to disable that.
Logic Pro>Preferences>General>Editing
If that is what happened (and I'm 99 % sure it is), then all that can save you(r work) is either revert to an earlier backup and copy the regions from there, close it, open the current version, paste the regions on the drummer track,
or go into the undo list and find the spot where you deleted your regions and go back to that point and copy the regions from there to paste 'm in your most current state of the project.

Are only playlists missing or also the songs and movies?
Or is simply the sidebar with the paylists not showing? To reveal it, use the command "View > Show Sidebar ⌥⌘S" from the main menu bar.

It isn't 'grayed' out, just ineffective. No new playlists can be set up.

I have an iPhone 6 with 64 GB of memory. I have iTunes Match turned on my account and on the phone. Suddenly, the Music app is only displaying music purchased directly from iTunes and no playlists are displayed. This occurred after updating iTunes Match on my PC; when new music did not appear, I turned off iTunes Match off/on the PC then did the same on iPhone 6. It looks like iTunes Match is trying to do a full download to the phone but it never completes. Ideas?

If you imported them and still have the CD try importing them again and see if they work the delete the others.
Or if you purchased from itunes re-dowwnload and see if they work. Maybe they are corrupted files and this should resove it. -

The desktop was rebuild too, not the same anymore and all aliases gone.I suspect you didn't back up your data before the update - that would have been your first insurance. At the least, you could have saved your most important documents. I realize you probably don't want to hear that, but it's a good way to avoid problems.
It would be great to get a few answers:
1. What did you update? Was it a software update, a firmware update, or something else?
2. Do you use external drives? Or is it just the HD on your MBP?
3. Why did you "rebuild" the desktop?
Provide as much detail as you can. -

Thanks for your prompt response, however I have first seen it now. I have placed an active SIM card in the iPhone turned it off and on. It now says SIM locked, please write access code. The problem is I don't remember the password. When I connect it to iTunes it tell me that I have to write the password before it can be used with iTunes...... Do you have any good ideas? iphone 4 not recognized and will not sync after latest itunes update. I have done recommendedl trouble shooting and uninstalled and reinstalled itunes to no avail. Can I go back to earlier version of itunes or restore computer to fix?

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?
