After an Update it doesn't let me use it...
A friend of mine bought an iPhone a couple of weeks ago and this morning he told me it didn't start up.
Actually, it starts up but shows just a message where's written "iTunes" (He remembered only that of the whole message) and a picture, he figured, was to stand by connecting the device to the pc.
Would anyone imagine what had been wrong with it?
Then, since I don't own such a mobile phone, would you tell me how to reset it and import all his addresses from his Nokia?
Finally, what's the way for transferring files between to mobiles? It doesn't have the option to use the bluetooth connection for that purpose...

My macbook air doesn't let me use the internal microphone while my headphones are plugged in. The reason I want to use the internal mic is that the person I talk to can hear me louder if I used the internal mic. Can someone help please ASAP? Thanks.
I assume you're using the 3 slot mini jack of the Apple earbuds/ mic. Use a 2 slot headphone jack that doesn't make contact with the the microphone contact in the headset jack on the AIr.
The Air has a HEADSET jack, in which either headphones or headsets can be used.

Apple tv doesn't let us use AirPlay after update.
After the update, apple tv does not let us use AirPlay from other devices such as iPad, iPhone etc.
I'm having the same problem, just upgraded ATV2 to 5.0 and now I can't use Airplay from my iPad2. When I try I just get the spining clock timer.
However the strange thing is that mirroring does still work. -
Have a 64GB flash drive that used to work and after an update, now doesn't show up in finder
I have a 64GB flash drive that worked just fine and Finder would show it when I would insert it, well it seems that after I updated my mac it now doesn't recognize or show the flash drive. I am unsure if the update did something but like I said it worked previously to update and it works on other windows based computers. So is there a way I can fix this?

I would check to see if it shows up in Disk Utility. If it does, run a Repair Disk on it and also mount the flash drive as well. If it does not show up, check other ports as well.

I updated to Mavericks and Aperture 3.5. All my images are referenced on a stand-alone drive. After the update, Aperture displays thumbnails, but I can't edit because Aperture doesn't see the referenced file ("image offline") and when choose all of my images and I run locate referenced files ... I get "No Referenced Files." I don't get the screen to "look" for the files.
Did you make a clean install and restore the library from a backup? No.
Or did you install the new system amd new version on top of the old system? Yes.
What version did you upgrade from? 3.4
Is your Aperture library onyour internal drive or also on an external drive? External
During the update, has your Aperture library been moved in any way? No, its still where it was on the external drive.

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

After System Update keyboard doesn't work -MacBook
Here is what happened and I was able to fix, someway... but not definetly.
I updated to Snow Leopard and everything was fine. After I launched System Update to finish the update, I installed a few ones then I rebooted.
At the login I realized that some of the keys didn't work anymore. Namely
0 = P ] ; \ / ENTER
those what I found.
With the help of the virtual keyboard I was able to take a look at the log and I noticed that the /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHIDKeyboard.kext was updated just before the last working configuration...
Luckily I had a bootable backup of the system before Snow Leopard, so I boot from the external USB drive and copied the old AppleHIDKeyboard.kext in place of the new one, that I saved with .bak extension.
I rebooted and the keyboard was properly working again.
I think my fix is "dirty". I experienced some slowdowns here and there and I found a log message stating:
com.apple.kextcache[271] AppleHIDKeyboard.kext does not declare a kernel dependency; using com.apple.kernel.6.0.
I'm wondering why the keyboard stopped working and if there is a better way to fix it.
Any comment? (Please)

<END OF LOGS>It is never a good idea to mix system components like kext's from different OS X versions. If you right-click on for instance the AppleHIDKeyboard.kext & choose "Show contents" you will see that it is a bundle composed of many individual files. Many of these files contain information about files in other OS bundles. Similarly, other OS bundles may contain info about the files in this bundle. This tells the OS what +set of files+ it can & can't use for various functions.
IOW, kext's are not self-contained, functionally independent items. When you replace one with one from a different OS version, its info about other files usually won't be right. This can & very often does cause problems. Some are minor but others can cause progressively greater problems, eventually damaging the OS enough that it becomes inoperative.
So, your fix is almost certainly "dirty."
It's also not addressing the source of the problem. There is nothing wrong with Snow Leopard's AppleHIDKeyboard.kext file (version 1.2.0). Snow Leopard works perfectly well with my & thousands of other users' MacBooks. The cause of your problem could be many things, but this is not one of them. If you can accept that, there are several things you can do to find the cause, starting with running the Apple Hardware Test to see if it finds up any problems with your MacBook. -
I also face this problem in previous Firefox version but after updated to newer release, the problem disappeared until new Java console updates again.
The Pop up does not come out at all.
I have tried restart Firefox but when restarting, a message pop up and tell me that another Firefox is running and after I check into my Task Manager, the Task Manager shows that there is another Firefox is still running.You can uninstall (remove) the Java Console extensions and disable the Java Quick Starter extension, you do not need them to run Java applets.

Satellite Pro A300 (PSAG9E) - After BIOS update Windows doesn't boot
Reboot went fine after BIOS upgrade and Windows XP logo appears loads for few seconds then beep and reboot - last known good or start Windows normally same effect.
Rebooting back to start again - this is a brand new laptop - using BIOS from Toshibas official download site.
Pretty annoyed as trying to figure out how to refresh or downgrade BIOS.
Have taken battery and RAM out to see if I can clear it?

Hmm this is very strange usually if something would went wrong during the BIOS update procedure then your notebook would not boot up.
It would be dead.
But in your case the notebook boots up but just the OS does not start properly
Maybe you should try to reinstall the OS again?
I see you are using the Win XP I think the Vista was preinstalled. Am I right?
Hmm. in my opinion you should try to boot from the Toshiba recovery disk and should try to reinstall the OS in order to check if this issue could be solved. -

If you can't find it in the Applications folder, just type "App Store Application" in the Spotlight box. Just click on the magnifying glass symbol, at the far right end of the menu bar, to open the Spotlight box.

Satellite L300 (PSLB8E) - After BIOS update it doesn't boot again

Please help me to overcome this issue.
I have downloaded the latest BIOS for my Satellite L300 PSLB8E. The previous BIOS was 1.90 but I was facing some nework related error so I thought upgrading BIOS may help to solve it. I have download a new BIOS which is exe file 2.10, its installed successfully and then shut down but never booted again. I have tried to boot it many time. I have tried all the keys. I can only see one power led and two battery light.
I dont know what to do now. I have a recovery disk but it also not working. I'm stuck.Ii had a bunch of emails to reply I'm lost now.

Unfortunately I think the case is clear: Something went wrong due BIOS update and now your notebook cant start anymore :(
The Toshiba recovery disk will not help you because it doesnt contain any BIOS reflashing programs it contains only a recover image of Windows with all drivers and tools.
In my opinion you have to contact an authorized service provider in your country to get rid of this because the guys have to reflash the ROM module.
Im sure you can clarify this problem with the technicians and then you can use your notebook again :) -

I agree with Akuma and I think in this case you can do nothing. If the notebook froze during BIOS update I think the ROM module is now destroyed and must be reflashed or exchanged. In this case only an ASP can help you.
On the Toshiba website you can find a list of ASPs and you should contact the nearest one. Speak with the technicians and they will try to help you.
