Is it wise to remove Lightroom 6 and reinstall?

Could you try to logout- and in again via the CC-app and start LrD 6.0 afterwards.

If you want to boot from your SSD, then you should put the SSD where your HDD currently is, and put the HDD into the optical bay. (That setup will also get you the best performance.) At the moment, you’re still booting from your HDD. Note that you will need to format your SSD in Disk Utility [with the “Mac OS X Extended (Journaled)” format] so that you can install OS X onto it.
Since you have an Early 2011 model, it might or might not have originally come with grey installation DVDs. You will be able to find out whether it did or not by trying to use OS X Internet Recovery to install OS X onto your SSD. If it does not work, or if the installed OS turns out to be Snow Leopard, then it will have originally come with the DVDs, and you should purchase a replacement pair of DVDs from Apple or iFixit; those discs will have your MacBook Pro’s Apple Hardware Test and its iLife apps. If the installed OS turns out to be Lion, then it will not originally have come with the grey installation DVDs, and your Apple Hardware Test will be installed along with Lion, and your iLife apps will be downloadable from the Mac App Store. -

If 10.7.0 or later...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partitirion & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
If that doesn't help Reinstall the OS. -

I restart my computer and the AppStore still says I need to restart to install. I've tried many times with failure. I have restarted manually, through the appstore, and on the Apple Menu.
If your computer is looking for a server, it sounds like you might have a problem with your Internet connection.
Chrome is probably trying to warn because .exe files can contain viruses. Chances are, if you're connected to mozilla.com and have https: (a secure connection), you don't have to worry about getting software with viruses or other malware.
Is your account on your computer an administrator account? Are you able to install other programs without limitation? If not, you might not have administrative privileges, which will make it hard to install things. You can download things, that doesn't require admin privileges, but altering the computer's operation by changing programs requires such privileges. If you do have admin privileges, I don't know what could be causing your problem.

my ipod touch accidentally disconnected during sync, after that it wont sync at all. although it appears to be syncing on both the computer and ipod, it rushes through "determining which tracks to sync' step and no changes are actually made.i restarted both and reset the ipod. i checked to see that the computer recognizes the ipod (yes) and tried to sync over wifi with the same result...(i am afraid to retore to factory original beacuse the problem is about transferring from th computer itunes to the ipod)
There is no good way for yur problem since iTunes sees the iPOd. Yu can ry removing and reinstalling all the Apple software using:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
However, I suspect a restor, first try from backup, is required. -

After I installed 10.7 (nw 10.7.1) my apple menu has shrunk, my Finder menu keeps asking me if I want to "Run Full Finder" and my Mac will not power down or reboot. Is there any way to fix the installation.

This would probably work great for a new Mac though, but mine is a MacBook Pro (17" 2010) and I just read: "Some computers that did not ship with OS X Lion installed may have a software update available that allows them to use Lion Internet Recovery." Had I known about the firm update I would have installed it long ago, only now is a tad too late.

I bought the student version of adobe suite 6 production premium a few months ago and my computer just recently crash. After I rebooted my computer I try to re-install the program but the student version won't let me install it because it only allows me to use the serial number 2 times. OK, so generally my entire problem started because i am constantly facingan irritating "bad request" or something like that with xbox forums, like if I chose to restore my session for example, on FireFox version 3.6.20, which I only use because I don't like/understand the tab addtions and this appears to be the most updated version prior to it. So, I continued to uninstall it, I did a reboot of my computer, and proceeded to the site from which I downloaded this version, filhippo.com. Norton anvtivuris confirms nothing wrong with the set-up file, so i proc3eed to install, only to get hit with "Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous uninstall of Firefox. Do you want to reboot now?" WHY?! I've ALREADY completed this step! I tried a system restore in attempt to fix/set back this operation, and didn't make any difference. I'm on Windows 7, Ultimate, 64 bit, and because of this I now can't install ANY version of Firefox! What am I supposed to do about this so I can reinstall the browser?? if anyone has any possible info, please e-mail me/leave a reply back as soon as possible! Thank you.

After I downloaded Maverick, I noticed that my photobooth images were out of chronological order. I've since downloaded OS X Yosemite (10.10) and they are still out of order. My version of Photobooth is 7.0 (719). Is there a fix for this? Many thanks in advance.

I was able to get a copy of OS X 10.9, but it wasn't the one straight from the App Store (which is free and I wish I knew before I got this other copy, but oh well). There is nothing wrong with the copy, it just simply doesn't initiate the install when you double click on it.
I installed one of the packages (essentials) off file, but not all the rest of them. For some reason the other packages weren't opening because it wasn't accepting my password, so I restarted the computer to see if that would make anything better.
It didn't. It now boots to the grey apple screen and stays stuck loading. I assume because only some of the install disk was installed, it doesn't really know what to do. But how do I fix this? How do I unistall the essentials package so that it goes back to normal?
I tried booting it whilst holding down "Command+Option+P+R" and it takes me to a limbo area where you can access disk utility. Within disk utility I can see that everything is still there.
What is the process to get it back to normal (I previously had 10.8.5).

Problem solved.
In the docs that came with my Powerlogix accelerator card, I found this sentence buried:
"If you reset the PRAM, the NVRAM code for OS9 compatibility is cleared, so you will have to boot from the Firmawre Update CD and perform this process again in order to boot in OS9."
The "process" it's referring to is the process of setting up the NVRAM for booting into OS9 from the CD.
Fortunately, I was able to find the disk, and it worked as expected. I can now, once again boot into OS9.
Conclusion: My (unadvised) attempt to load Leopard on this old machine apparently reset the PRAM on the accelerator card and cleared the NVRAM code for OS9 boot. Although I did attempt to reset the NVRAM via Open Firmware, it did not reset it on the accelerator card.
So, thank you BDAQua, for your "Ah yes" . . . that's all I needed to steer me in the right direction.
