After BI Stats installation: Why is this query not reporting on my query?

Hi,
ok, so I thought I was done with BI Stats installation and I run a query:
Detailed Query Runtime Statistics: Analysis 0TCT_MC02_Q0200 0TCT_MC02
which came with the installation.
I see query QueryColleague in this query with the information:
Time       = 21.992
Time:Ste =29.480
Counter  = 0
1.
What is the significance of these 3 figures (Time, Time:Ste, Counter)? Does it in any way give a sense of the performance of the query?
2.
Under the “Settings for BI Statistics” I verified and QueryColleague was set as:
Statistics = D
OLAP detail level = (blank)
I have a query QueryMyOwn which following the installation guidelines, I set up as:
Statistics = X
OLAP detail level = 2
I have since run QueryMyOwn a and run the delta process chains again but this query still not does appear in this “Detailed Query Runtime Statistics”. Any idea what may be going on?
3.
Am I misinterpreting this report? I thought it was going to show a list of queries which BS Stats has collected data and reporting on them.
4.
Which of the many queries which come with the BI Stats have you found useful so far? I will appreciate the reason. Any particular one standing out if you need to track why a particular report may not be performing well?
Thanks

Hi,
I think you are viewing the queries from Admin cockpit 0TCT_MC02_Q0200 which has filter to display the query that had been executed in last 24 hours.
Most of the queries from Admin Cockpit will be help you to monitor the data load stats, which load taken long time to complete including the process chains, DTP etc. There are some other queries with have conditional / Expection which filter the data based on top 10 process etc.
Few Queries that was useful to me are
0TCT_MC22_Q0104 - Long term trends in total runtime
0TCT_MC12_Q0110 - Process status
0TCT_MC01_Q0122 - Deviation in runtime of BI Application Object
Hope it helps,
Cheers,
Balaji

I've purchased an app and it shows up in my iTunes. But when I download it to my phone, it disappears after its installed. Why is this?

Is the app checked in the Apps tab of iTunes? That's how you tell iTunes whether you want the app on your phone or not.
Otherwise, check the very last screen on the phone.

It's likely that one of your login items is causing the problem. Select the Login Items tab in the Users & Groups pane of System Preferences. Delete any items that you don't recognize. If you're not sure which ones to delete, double-click each to test it.

Hello René, Thank you very much for your email. I am happy to work with you. I have been working on this all day. I still have not figured out why this is not working. I am Mark Sullivan and Cheri White's Crew Chief/Technical Support for the USA.
The following products are being used:
MacBook Pro,Mac OS X Version 10.7.4, Processor 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Mac iPad, Version 5.1.1 (9B206)
Non of these prodects will upload your site http://www.gordonbennett2012.ch/
I have tried the following browsers:
Opera: Could not connect to remote server,
Safari: no responce
Firefox: The connection has timed out The server at gordonbennett2012.ch is taking too long to respond.
Google Chrome: Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to www.gordonbennett2012.ch
I have had all our crew do the same. They are in different parts of the USA.
And the response has been the following:
North Carolina on PC and Android: Site uploaded
New Mexico on PC and iPhone: Site did not upload on either
New Mexico on PC and iPhone: Site did upload
I have also contacted Mac. Please let me know your thoughts so we can sort this out. In the past I have been able to get your site. Just in the past month I have not been able to. I am getting a timed out error from ALL the above browsers.

Dear Letitia Thank you very much for your message about our website.
I am also working with a Mac and could not find any problems. I would be very interested to know which products you are using and what is not working so I could have a detailed look at it.
Thank you very much.

There seems to be a block with the Internet server in the United States as other Internet and cell servers i.e. Verizon and Century-Link DSL work with Mac, Andriod and PC. It just seems to be Mac on Comcast that is not...
Without more data I'm inclined to say it's more likely to be Comcast itself, rather than 'Macs on Comcast'.
For example, do other devices (PCs, Android, iOS) on that Comcast network also have problems connecting? or do they connect fine?
I'd expect that any device at that network has a problem, which indicates a problem with Comcast. It might be their DNS not resolving properly, or them not routing data correctly, but that should be your focus.
Perform a DNS lookup on the www.gordonbennett2012.ch hostname. What result do you get? Is it the expected address?
If that returns the right address, what do you get with a traceroute?
That will test the routing befween your system and the server, and may indicate other problems on the network.

• WHY DOES THIS SQL NOT WORK

I have 4 statements.
echo off
plus80 / @z:\nesp1483_batch
plus80 / @z:\nesp1484a_batch
exit
The first statement plus80 / @z:\nesp1484_batch inserts records into a table and creates a report and deletes the table.
However the second statement plus80 / @z:\nesp1484a_batch is not working properly. I want it to insert records into a table, create a report and then delete the table but it is not working properly. It is hanging up on this statement.
I need to say plus80 to get the program to execute properly.
I have also tried sqlplus /@z:\nesp1484a_batch but this does not work either.
What do I need to do to make the third statement to execute properly?

I know that it is not working
because the response time is slow and I have over 15 minutes
and nothing is happening. How do you know it is not working as opposed to just working slow?
Do you have any logging routines in your code? If you have, switch on them on and see what's happening. If not, now is a good time to think about including them...
Cheers, APC

• Why is this session not connecting to the preferred Instance ?

Grid Infrastructure/DB Version : 11.2.0.3
Platform : RHEL 5.8
We have a 3-node cluster and I've configured the RAC service PKDS_UAT_01 with its preferred instance as JDSCFS3
$ srvctl config service -s PKDS_UAT_01 -d JDSCFS
Service name: PKDS_UAT_01
Service is enabled
Server pool: JDSCFS_PKDS_UAT_01
Cardinality: 1
Disconnect: false
Service role: PRIMARY
Management policy: AUTOMATIC
DTP transaction: false
AQ HA notifications: false

Failover method: NONE
TAF failover retries: 0
TAF failover delay: 0
Connection Load Balancing Goal: LONG
Runtime Load Balancing Goal: NONE
TAF policy specification: NONE
Edition:
Preferred instances: JDSCFS3
Available instances: JDSCFS1
Then I start a remote session through SQL*Plus like
sqlplus scott/tiger@rtfms-scan:1624/PKDS_UAT_01.acproot.net
When I check in the DB, it shows that the session is actually connected to instance 1 despite the preferred instance set as Instance3 (JDSCFS3) for the service PKDS_UAT_01
SQL> select inst_id, sid from gv$session where username='SCOTT';
INST_ID        SID
1       3839
Why is this happening ?

1. check that all services are running on all nodes. Actually, you service should run only on preffered node
srvctl status service -d db_name
2. restart services
3. try again

• HT1175 Time machine backups are extremely slow after Mavericks upgrade. Why is this happening?

How can I speed up time capsule backup in mavericks?

I can suggest a few things to try but I am yet to see a solution.. I am not prepared to move to Mavericks until a couple of revisions fix the beta standard of some of these things. TM in particular seems to have badly suffered.
Are you using wireless? Especially double hop wireless with the TC as the extend.. don't!!
Use ethernet direct to the TC and turn off wireless.. see if that helps.
Otherwise I reckon until Apple get an update use a local usb disk plugged into the computer and don't try and use TM to network drive. Or if you still want to use the network drive use something like CCC which should be fine under Mavericks since it is a much more robust software. (without lots of bells and whistles.. but functional).

• Why is this blend not working?

I'm working in CS4 on a Mac. I want to make a color wheel from 10 pastel colors. I planned to use ten spokes - each one stroked with one color - and then blend them. I've done this before successfully with other colors, I got the idea from this website: http://colorburned.com/create-a-color-picker-icon-in-illustrator/
However, it isn't working this time. Here are my before and after pictures.
Any ideas on why that one segment is so ragged? I've tried increasing the width of each spoke from 1 pt to 4pt but it didn't help.

You must duplicate the top object and place it below the entire stack.
In this example the strokes start with the yellow (at the bottom of the stack) and end with the green (at the top of the stack).
Select the green stroked path, Edit > Copy, Edit > Paste in Front, Object > Arrange > Send to Back.... then create the blend.
You need to start and stop with the same color in the same location for the entire circle to blend correctly.

Sure you can read and write at the same time. But normally you would be reading from one place and writing to another place.
I rather regret avoiding the OP's earlier post asking how to combine two classes. I looked at the two classes posted and realized the best thing to do was actually to break them into more classes. But I also realized it was going to be a big job explaining why and how, and I just don't have the patience for that sort of thing.
So now we have a Big Ball Of Tar™ and I feel partly responsible.

• Why does this code not work?

String answer = new String("");
in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader( connection.getInputStream ()));
String test = new String("");
for (int i = 0 ; i < 1000 ; i++)
answer = in.readLine();
if (answer == null)
System.out.println ("null");
break;
else
test += answer;
System.out.println ("answer: " + answer);
System.out.println ("test: " + test);
Many times, the loop will go through 2 iterations but each time, test is only equal to the first answer. The second, third, fourth etc.time it goes through the loop, it should concatenate the value of answer to the end of the string variable test. So why is it that whenever i run the program that has this code, the loop might lloop many times (let's say 2 time) but the value of test is only the first answer, and not the first answer concatenated with the second answer.

It worked for me...my code looks like this...i used FileInputStream instead of connection..
import java.io.*;
class Forum {
public static void main(String a[]) throws IOException{
String answer = new String("");
BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader( new FileInputStream("hi.txt")));
String test = new String("");
for (int i = 0 ; i < 1000 ; i++)
answer = in.readLine();
if (answer == null)
System.out.println ("null");
break;
else
test += answer;
System.out.println ("answer: " + answer);
System.out.println ("test: " + test);
my hi.txt is like this:
fasd rea reks krie
fsdfasd
asdfasd
sfasdf
asdfasd
The output is
answer: fasd rea reks krie
answer: fsdfasd
answer: asdfasd
answer: sfasdf
answer: asdfasd
null
test: fasd rea reks kriefsdfasdasdfasdsfasdfasdfasd
Is this not the way u want???
