After BIOS 1.56 update AMD - not working ThinkPad S440

Hello, today early morning I got BIOS system update called "Thinkpad BIOS update [32,64]" for my Lenovo ThinkPad S400 via "Lenovo System update" program. After reboot, AMD Radeon HD 8670M is not working, shows yellow tick. I can't use programs that uses much of graphical memory. I have tried install later versions of AMD Catalyst, but it is not working too. Before this update, everything was running OK.
My computer needs another system update for AMD.
AMD version: 13.152.1.1400
Intel: 10.18.10.3316
ThinkPad BIOS: 1.56

I have an S440 and have had all sorts of problems with this BIOS update including the HDMI socket not working, machine not restarting from sleep mode when on battery. I can't say categorically that it's the AMD graphics adapter but it certainly seems to be linked. The behaviour changes with updates to the driver and re-installing it. Unfortunately it only changes the behaviour and doesn't fix it.
In the end I've downgraded the BIOS and it seems to be a lot better now.

After 10.4.5 Update, Spotlight NOT WORKING...

I have practised the "strict protocol" of before/after OS Update: Unplug all extra accessories, repair permission, restart, update, repair permission and restart etc.
After the Software Update, everything seems fine, except Spotlight, when click on the icon on the Top Menu Bar, nothing happens; When using the keyboard command, the icon gets highlighted, but no 'field entry' to enter the text, the icon just get highlighted until pressing the hot keys again, it gets deselected.

Ok, I had a problem similar to yours and have finally found my problem - and it could explain others as well. If the "show bluetooth in the menu bar" preference is set to yes and there are a number of items being loaded at startup, SystemUIServer will not function correctly. I simply disabled the bluetooth icon in the menu bar and all works well. To give credit where credit is due, I figured this out from the change file included with a free app called Menu Master available here: http://www.unsanity.com/products/free

My iPhone 5 is not being recognized by my Onkyo TX-8050 reciever when plugging into the USB. Is there a setting on my phone i need to set? Also, it has worked prior with this receiver however after the new software update will not work.

I do have a questiion. I started the most recent iOS update on my iPhone last night and before it was ever completed a message appeared on my screen. It is a pic of the docking/charging cord with an arrow pointing to an iTunes logo...HELP!!!!! Hi,
Based on your description and this error message, this issue may be caused by:
The Default Web Site is not running and/or has a site binding for SSL (HTTPS).
The Selfupdate virtual directory has the "Require SSL" checked under the SSL settings.
For more details, please refer to the following KB and check if can help you to solve this issue.

I have the same problem. After the upgrade, my wifi is greyed out, and the battery won't hold a charge long. I reset all the settings, tried all the things suggested by Apple, but it didn't work. I took the phone to Verizon, but they said they can't fix it, go to Apple
I made an appointment at the Genius bar, where the staff was incredibly rude and dismissive. A representative told me that the wi-fi is broken and I would need to buy a new phone for $200, because mine is out of warranty. Windows update does not work after using System recovery disk

I have a Toshiba Satellite c655 with WIndows 7 64 bit Home premium. The hard drive died on it, so I purchased a new hard drive and purchased the appropriate Recovery media from Toshiba. I followed the directions and installed the 3 disks on to the new hard drive. But Windows update does not work I get the following error: Windows update can not currently check for updates, because the service is not running. You may need to restart your PC    No matter what I try, I can not get it to work. And it will not let me install Windows Defender either. Any ideas or help would be appreciated. Java(TM) Update Registration not working anymore

I updated my java 7.u10 to 7.u11 couple days ago.
It's working on IE, but not on Google Chrome and the other browsers.
I re-installed Google Chrome, re-installed java, but neither worked.
I'm clueless.
Everytime after I re-installed java I get this message:

... neither jre7u10 nor jre7u11 are working ... and they are BOTH broken with the same problem ... "Java(TM) Platform" pliugin is missing from the plug-in list. It cannot be enabled, because it simply is NOT there. A suggestion was made the jre7u12 will be the "fix" for this issue ... so I installed the Update 12 Preview and it sis ALSO broken, no "Java(TM) Platform" in the plug-in list.
The ONLY Java version that actually works for me is jre7u9.
As far as installing Firefox 64bit ... I see no future in installing a browser that has been discontinued.

Just type in NAS for example and you get many threads on the subject (marked with a green checkmark if it solved the question) another example would be Airport Exterme and sound system. Once you formulate your ideas better then specific questions can be addressed one at a time. You may find that a less expensive choice for a server might be a mac mini. Good luck with your project, ask more specific questions and update you systems profile.

Have you run it in a debugger? That will show you exactly what is happening and why.
