After commit current row is no longer highlighted

JDeveloper 11.1.1.20.
Scenario: a master detail page where master and detail are both ordinary ADF table ( NOT read-only).
If I place the cursor on a master row and do a click the row is highlighted.
If I do a createInsert operation (with a button) a new row is created above the previous mentioned row.
Problem:
If I do a commit after the new row is filled with data sometimes the newly made row is now longer highlighted after the commit.
The newly created row is stil active. This is seen by the fact that if I subsequently creates a new deatil row it is correctly connected to the newly created master row.
And - after the newly created detail row is created the master row is again highligted.
Any ideas?
Best regards
Erik

Hi,
To keep highlight the selected row do some operation in bean ,Get selected row and set that row again after commit

  • After installing Maverick I can no longer highlight multiple emails the same way in orden out my mailbox I highlight a message,hold down my mouse and drag my cursor to highlight more messages. I click "delete" & they go to trash. How do I do this again?

    After installing Maverick on my 2011 MacBookPro I can no longer highlight multiple emails in the same manner.  To clean out my Inbox I highlighted a message, held my mouse down & dragged my cursor down through all the messages I wanted to delete (or move to another mailbox, or other functions) highlighting as many messages as I wanted. I then clicked "delete" & they went to trash.  Such a great way to clean out a lot of messages at once.  Can I and/or how do I do this again?  Or is this something Maverick has eliminated?  I also hate that "Notes" is no longer on the Mail page, but this is not as important.  Help!!

    Put differenltly, if I can drag select multiple items and objects on my desktop, which I can, using my Kensington Track Ball (which has an enabled updated software driver in place, so I don't think there's a problem there), why can't I click-drag-multipleselect emails in mail like I have *always* been able to? Really, what is the problem here? Why is that no longer possibler? I'm not a coder, but I can't believe this isn't fixable. Here, Apple should be ashamed of itself, regardless of the fact that there's an easy work around. When I have to alter the way I have been doing something for years and have to waste time learning something new and complaining about it -- like right now! -- and there's no good technical reason, and I bet there isn't, then Apple has simply failed.

  • Reset of current row after commit in ADF-UIX

    Dear experts,
    I have developed an application with Oracle JDeveloper 10g and ADF-UIX using BC4J. The problem is that wherenever a commit is performed the current row for the master table is reset which causes confusion for the end user.
    Do you know how can I solve that problem?
    Thank you in advance,
    Constantine

    ... I forgot to mention that I use JDeveloper 3.1 on Windows NT4.
    About my problem, it seems that a "key" does not exist in the record (Row object) i'm using for.
    So, what really is a "key"? Is this an internal complicated number or just the values of some data fields, indicated as "Primary Key" in the table?
    If the answer is the second one, I have to say that at the really before commit of the record, the value of my primary key fields is NULL, because they are filled up by a "sequence object" created in the database (triggered by a "TRIGGER BEFORE INSERT", which calls the "sequence.nextval" SQL command).
    So, I really have the value of my primary key fields just after committing the record in the database, and would explain everything.
    But is really this the "key"?
    Thanks

  • Refresh only current row after commit, when ChangeEventPolicy set to none

    Hi,
    I'm using jdeveloper 11.1.2.3.0
    I'm editing a table with a popup, I set the ChangeEventPolicy to none because it made some problems.
    Now I would like to know, when i'm closing the popup and doing commit,
    how could I refresh only the current row, and not whole the table?
    I would like it to work as with ChangeEventPolicy set to ppr.
    Thanks!

    could you please explain a little bit more?
    When I used the ChangeEventPolicy with ppr it looks like only the selected row was changed after commit.
    but with PartialTrigger i see that it's refreshing all the table.
    are you sure they are working the same?
    what about row.refresh(..), is it only used for rollback?

  • Highlight current row on Interactive Report

    What is the best way to highlight (or identify) the current row in an Interactive Report?
    I’ve created an interactive report, based on a custom SQL query, with a link (on the primary key (id)) to give the user the possibility to select a certain record (that will show some additional regions with detail information). How can I identify (highlight, indicator) the selected row in an Interactive Report?
    Many thanks for your help,
    John

    I wanted the same without using jQuery. Roel's example set me on the right track. To ensure keeping my current row highligthing after using the pagination links I've managed to dynamicly modify the pagination link in the IR using javascript, but I have a little (I hope) problem left.
    I've managed to change the pagination link when rendering the page from
    <a h ref="javascript:gReport.navigate.paginate('pgR_min_row=16max_rows=15rows_fetched=15')"></a>to
    <a h ref=javascript:gReport.navigate.paginate('pgR_min_row=16max_rows=15rows_fetched=15');highLight(this)></a>Unfortunatly my added code does not notice the changes made by the gReport.navigate.paginate code. It does only work when I add an alert (); in my highLight code. This alert will force showing the changes made in the DOM-model by gReport, allowing the highLight function to re-exame the DOM-model and change the pagination link.
    Anyone an idea how to overcome this problem ?
    Kind regards,
    Ralph

  • Maintain the current row position of a table after refresh.

    Hi,
    I use a poll to refresh tables continuously. when a table is refreshed, the current referring row is reset.
    To maintain the current row position after a refresh I use the following poll method.
    public void refreshTableT1(PollEvent pollEvent) {
    FacesContext fctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    ValueBinding dcb = fctx.getApplication().createValueBinding("#{bindings}");
    DCBindingContainer bindings1 = (DCBindingContainer) dcb.getValue(fctx);
    DCIteratorBinding dciter = bindings1.findIteratorBinding("<VOIterator>");
    if(dciter!=null){
    if(dciter.getCurrentRow()!=null){
    Key current_row_key = dciter.getCurrentRow().getKey();
    dciter.executeQuery();
    if(current_row_key!=null){
    try{
    dciter.setCurrentRowWithKey(current_row_key.toStringFormat(true));
    }catch(Exception ex) {
    System.out.println("Exception in current_row_key");
    }This works for normal tables well. But when I use it to master-detail tables (pair of tables) it does not.
    At the master-detail tables, before the first data fetch, it works well. if we go below the first data fetch, it sets the current row into another position.
    how can I overcome this...??
    Thanks,
    Dinuka.

    Hi Mr.Frank,
    I have an association in two VOs.
    for example: There are 2 tables called Emp and Dept. Every Department has Employees. so there is an association (both tables have a common column). Master table is the Dept table. when you click on one record of the Dept table Detail table will show the details of the employees belongs to that selected department. That's what I referred as master-detail tables. first one is master table; second one is detail table.
    When the web page loads all the table data is not fetched from the db (it will depend on the fetch size). when we scroll down the table data fetch happens again and again.
    think my data fetch size is 25 rows per time.
    Suppose we use mine poll method and think I have clicked on the 20 ^th^ row of table1(master table). then the table2 will display details belongs to selected department. that is OK even after refresh. that works well.
    when I go to 30 ^th^ row data fetch will happen (my fetch size = 25)
    when I click on the 30 ^th^ row of the table1(master table), table2 will display details belongs to selected department. but after the poll method is called the selected row at the table1 disappears and is set to another position. now the 30 ^th^ row is not in the 30 ^th^ position. but it is the selected row and table2 displays correct details.
    I think you have got the problem now. :D
    Thanks a lot.
    Dinuka.

  • How to insert the new row after current row in RowIterator - Steve Muench

    Hi,
    Our client wants the new row to be added after current row on the front end instead of before current row.
    we were using "new JUActionBinding(this,iterBinding,JUActionBinding.ACTION_CREATE_INSERT_ROW);" this code inserts the new row after current row.
    I tried a lot to insert the new row after current row. Used new JUActionBinding(this,iterBinding,JUActionBinding.ACTION_LAST to move the cursor to last row in rowiterator and the used .ACTION_CREATE_INSERT_ROW but this thing inserts the new row as the second last row.
    Could somebody plesae help ?

  • Data lost/Rows deleted after commit

    Dear all,
    I am struggling with a very critical issue in oracle 10g express.
    I have done following steps...
    01. Create table Sawan
    02. insert into Sawan
    03. select count(*) from Sawan; (This returns 1)
    04. commit;
    05. select count(*) from Sawan; (This returns 0)
    The problem here is after commitng, rows has been deleted.
    Please suggest for any possible reason as soon as possible.
    Thanks
    Sawan

    As soon as possible,hmmm!
    Well this is only possible if you have created a temp table.See this,
    SQL> create global temporary table temptab
      2  on commit delete rows
      3  as select * from dept;
    SP2-0640: Not connected
    SQL> conn scott/tiger
    Connected.
    SQL> create global temporary table temptab
      2  on commit delete rows
      3  as select * from dept;
    Table created.
    SQL> select * from temptab;
    no rows selected
    SQL> insert into temptab select * from dept;
    4 rows created.
    SQL> select * from temptab;
        DEPTNO DNAME          LOC
            10 ACCOUNTING     NEW YORK
            20 RESEARCH       DALLAS
            30 SALES          CHICAGO
            40 OPERATIONS     BOSTON
    SQL> commit;
    Commit complete.
    SQL> select * from temptab;
    no rows selected

  • Highlight Current Row

    Apex 4.2

    How do I highlight the current row of a tabular form or updateable report.
    I have tried using DA with
    JQuery Selector tr[headers="FEE"] (column in my report)
    Execute Javascript
    $x_RowHighlight(this.triggeringElement,'yellow');
    Any help appreciated

    Gus ,
    you can look at my demo ... ( the one you aked for in my other discussion)
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=53793
    demo / demo
    when i click on on row of the IR , the text of selected row is set to red .
    i m sure that you can use it to highlight your row .
    Just remember that when you set for example background-color of a cell, the style of the region may hide what you try to change. I m not sure why but if you disable the region class
    your modifications will appears.

  • How to set current row in table after use tab key on inputText

    Hello all,
    My first post .., I'm newbie in ADF and I will try to explain my problem.
    For the moment we use ADF 11g (11.1.1.4), in a jsff page I have a table with an inputText column.
    On the valueChangeListener of the inputText, I invoke a method in a viewScope bean which call an EJB method, make some services in the EJB on the line modified. After that I refresh the VO and the table (because others values on the line have been modified) and reset the focus on the same inputText modified by the user with javaScript because focus was lost after refresh.
    So far, everything works fine.
    When I use the arrow keys to change the selected row in the table, it's work fine (focus is still in the next or previous inputText), but if user try to use tab key to change the current line, the inputText on the next line have the focus but the current row of the table is not changed (I think it's normal).
    My question : how can I change the current row after tab key pressed in this case ?
    I don't know if it's really clear, not easy to explain, don't hesitate to ask more details.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    Use a client event to listen for the keyboard entry and intercept the tab. The use af:serverListener to call the server to set the rowKey on the table and issue a PPR for the table to re-paint
    See sample 11 on http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/index-101235.html#CodeCornerSamples
    to learn about how to use the client listener and server listener
    FrankHi,
    Thanks a lot for your advices, I used the client and server listener
    I used this code on the method call in order to change the selection after key tab pressed, I don't know if it can be easier, but it works.
              if (LOGGER.isDebugEnabled()) {
              LOGGER.debug("START changeSelectedRow");
              RowKeySet oldRowKeySet = myTable.getSelectedRowKeys(); // get oldRowKeySet
              if (oldRowKeySet == null) {
                   if (LOGGER.isDebugEnabled()) {
                        LOGGER.debug("oldRowKeySet is null");
                   return;
              RowKeySetImpl newRowKeySet = new RowKeySetImpl(); // The new RowKeySet use to change the selectedRow
              DCIteratorBinding bindingIterator = ADFUtils.findIterator(MY_ITERATOR);
              bindingIterator.setRangeSize(-1);
              // set the new index of the current row.
              int index = bindingIterator.getCurrentRowIndexInRange();
              if (index < bindingIterator.getAllRowsInRange().length - 1) {
                   index++;
              bindingIterator.setCurrentRowIndexInRange(index);
              // get the current row after changed the index
              Row currentRow = bindingIterator.getCurrentRow();
              if (currentRow != null) {
                   ArrayList nextLst = new ArrayList(1);
                   nextLst.add(currentRow.getKey());
                   newRowKeySet.add(nextLst);
                   // set the new selectedRow
                   myTable.setSelectedRowKeys(newRowKeySet);
                   SelectionEvent selectionEvent = new SelectionEvent(oldRowKeySet, newRowKeySet, myTable);
                   selectionEvent.queue();
                   AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(myTable);
              if (LOGGER.isDebugEnabled()) {
                   LOGGER.debug("END changeSelectedRow");

  • Row selection in adf table issue after commit or rollback

    Using jdev 11g (11.1.1.62)
    I have a adf table with multi select enabled. There is a child table bounded at BC4J level via a VL
    On the rowSelectionListener I attached a bean method. This bean method bascially finds the selected row from UI and then based on it query the child vo again and then finally refreshes the child table.
    This works fine as expected.
    However, what happens is when the Cancel button is called on UI which is bound to a rollback action in the AMImpl then the UI refreshes. And the master table still shows the previously selected row but the child VO shows the rows of the first master VO row rather the selected one.
    How to fix this? Further as old row is already selected in the master table so reclicking on the same row does nothing,

    just to update after the rollback is called in the cancel button i wrote following code which does not change the row focus to the first row
    DCBindingContainer bc =
    (DCBindingContainer)BindingUtils.getBindingContext().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
    DCIteratorBinding profItr =
    bc.findIteratorBinding("ProfileSearchInstIterator");
    Row cRow = profItr.getRowAtRangeIndex(0);
    if(cRow != null){
    System.out.println("Current row is not null so fixed ");
    profItr.setCurrentRowIndexInRange(0);
    RowKeySetImpl rks = new RowKeySetImpl();
    ArrayList keyList = new ArrayList();
    keyList.add(cRow.getKey());
    rks.add(keyList);
    profileTable.setSelectedRowKeys(rks);
    AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(profileTable);
    }

  • ViewObject Row doesn't change it's state from Row.STATUS_NEW after commit ?

    Hi All,
    i have the following problem:
    In my Application i have a logic which is based on View Object Row state .
    I have the following common problem scenario:
    I'm creating a new Row and putting it into state Row.STATUS_INITIALIZED.
    After modifying the Row attributes it goes in Row.STATUS_NEW (which is correct).
    After executing transaction COMMIT i'm expecting the Row state to be changed to status
    UNMODIFIED (similar as an entities). However this not happens , the Row is still in state
    Row.STATUS_NEW. The entities on which are based the View Object change their statuses
    correctly (they go from NEW to UNMODIFIED state).
    I doesn't find any details about switching View Object Row state (except from INITIALIZED to NEW and vice versa)
    in the documentation, so i'm wondering is this framework behaviour correct ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Krasimir

    You're mixing up the newRow state and the row state (which does not exist for a view row in that way).
    The newRow state can only have values STATUS_INITIALIZED and STATUS_NEW.
    The row state that you want is basically the row state of the updateable entities contained in the row.
    If you want to expose that entity state as row state then follow instructions (example 46) here:

  • Found Text No Longer Highlighted after Latest Acrobat 9 Update

    Since installing the latest Acrobat update (to version 9.4.5) whenever I do Edit, Find or Ctrl+F and search for text Acrobat goes to the page with the text I'm looking for, but the text is no longer highlighted with blue highlighting.  Since there's nothing about this in the help, I guess the problem may be local to my computer.  Can you suggest how I can get the highlighting back (without upgrading to Acrobat X)?
    Has anyone else seen this problem?
    Should I do a reinstall?  If I do a reinstall, are there any special issues?
    Thanks for your help.

    I seem to be getting prompts to update Adobe all the time, but nothing seems to be new-same version number.
    Thanks HKA, I did not know about the "super" search, which looks like a great thing.

  • Highligh current row not working for classic report in 4.1

    Hello experts,
    One of our customers is migrating applications from APEX 3.0 to 4.1.
    All their applications use classic reports because interactive reports didn't exist in 3.0.
    The end users of the applications like the row color changing when they hover there mouse over the rows (highlight current row) and they insist on keeping this "functionality" in the applications.
    For some reason, this "functionality" doesn't work anymore after the migration to APEX 4.1.
    I thought it was something theme related so I created a new application with a classic report, tried some APEX built-in themes, and with none of them, I manage to get the highlight current row working.
    For interactive reports it is not an issue.
    Is this an undocumented no-longer-available feature of APEX 4.x or has there changed something which caused this functionality to stop working??
    Regards,
    Bart

    Hi,
    I created a service request for this issue, and the support analyst that helped me confirmed that this is a bug:
    "I have created the bug :
    Bug 13584762 - ROW HIGHLIGHTING NO MORE WORKS IN CLASSIC REPORT IN APEX 4.1
    While working on the problem , I have found the following solution in order to make the Row HighLightng work in APEX 4.1
    In the apex_4_1.min.js (file located in images\javascript ) , Search for :
    function setRowHighlight(a){apex.jQuery("#report_"+a+" .highlight-row").live("hover",function(b)
    and replace "hover" by "mouseover mouseout" :
    After the modification :
    function setRowHighlight(a){apex.jQuery("#report_"+a+" .highlight-row").live("mouseover mouseout",function(b)
    A refresh in the browser may be necessary in order to "reload" the file apex_4_1.min.js"
    I implemented the suggested workaround and this solved the problem!

  • How can I implement the equivilent of a temporary table with "on commit delete rows"?

    hi,
    I have triggers on several tables. During a transaction, I need to gather information from all of them, and once one of the triggers has all the information, it creates some data. I Can't rely on the order of the triggers.
    In Oracle and DB2, I'm using temporary tables with "ON COMMIT DELETE ROWS" to gather the information - They fit perfectly to the situation since I don't want any information to be passed between different transactions.
    In SQL Server, there are local temporary tables and global.  Local temp tables don't work for me since apparently they get deleted at the end of the trigger. Global tables keep the data between transactions.
    I could use global tables and add some field that identifies the transaction, and in each access to these tables join by this field, but didn't find how to get some unique identifier for the transaction. @@SPID is the session, and sys.dm_tran_current_transaction
    is not accessible by the user I'm supposed to work with.
    Also with global tables, I can't just wipe data when "operation is done" since at the triggers level I cannot identify when the operation was done, transaction was committed and no other triggers are expected to fire.
    Any idea which construct I could use to acheive the above - passing information between different triggers in the same transaction, while keeping the data visible to the current transaction?
    (I saw similar questions but didn't see an adequate answer, sorry if posting something that was already asked).
    Thanks!

    This is the scenario: If changes (CRUD) happen to both TableA and TableB, then log some info to TableC. Logic looks something like this:
    Create Trigger TableA_C After Insert on TableA {
      If info in temp tables available from TableB
            Write info to TableC
       else
           Write to temp tables info from TableA
    Create Trigger TableB_C After Insert on TableB {
      If info in temp tables available from TableA
            Write info to TableC
       else
           Write to temp tables info from TableB
    So each trigger needs info from the other table, and once everything is available, info to TableC is written. Info is only from the current transaction.
    Order of the triggers is not defined. Also there's no gurantee that both triggers would fire - changes can happen only to TableA / B and in that case I don't want to write anything to TableC.
    The part that gets and sets info to temp table is implemented as temp tables with "on commit delete rows" in DB2 / Oracle.
    What do you think? As I've mentioned, I could use global temp tables with a field that would identify the transaction, but didn't find something like that in SQL Server. And, the lifespan of local temp tables is too short.
