After connecting 3gs to itunes, there is a message which says"There is a problem with your phone"
My iphone 3gs when is turned on displays iphone in center and a arrow pointing right and it says slide to confired. I go thru by selecting English and country USA. After it says "connect to itunes". I connect the phone to my computer (windows7) and itunes recognizes the phone. After just a few seconds, I get this message in itunes " There is a problem with your IPhone. I have reinstalled the software twice but still does not pass the message in iTunes.
When I disconect it and reconect it again the same message show up in iTunes.
What's is going on with this phone? PLEASE HELP.
It's probably broken. Is there an error number displayed by iTunes?

I am trying to log onto my wireless connection but it keeps telling me I'm unable to locate any wireless network. I know there are several networks nearby. Is this a problem with my phone or my router?
I found a solution that has worked on both iPhone 4's I have that have had the same issues, and also including not being able to download updates in the App store.
Go to Settings > WiFi and turn it OFF.
Next go to General > Cellular > Cellular Data and turn it OFF
Next go back to Settings > WiFi and turn it ON, (wait a few seconds for it to sync with your network)
Finally go back to General > Cellular > Cellular Data and turn it ON.
I had the same issues on both my wife's phone, and my own, and it fixed it immediately without changing any proxy settings or reboots, (which I did try on my phone and did not work, but did not try on my wife's phone)

hey my iphone was working perfectly and then i sent it to check up and it came back with the itunes icon and data cable on it. so i tried plugging it in the computer and a message on itunes came up saying theres a problem with your phone and it may be damaged and cannot be activated. HELP PLEASE!!

Did you try to use iTunes and the computer to download and install the update?
I did get this error trying to update using Wi-Fi only. After I connected to my computer and let iTunes download the firmware, the update went without problems. -
When I connect my I pod shuffle to USB it shows an error message - " I Tunes has deducted a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly" due to this problem whenever i connect earphone each and every earphone gets un usable. Already made a factory reset. please arrange for a rectification.. :'(

You have to put iPhone into Recovery Mode and Restore. Open iTunes on your computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB Cable. Hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. Click the Restore button of iTunes.

Reset it by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release.

Hi. I would really appreciate if someone could help me find a way to solve my problem. I bought a second hand iphone4 from my friend's friend. I fully trust my friend coz she said this iphone is working but it was handed to her lowbat so i get home i recharge it immediately and after charging it, i open and it shows to select language and country and i did select. After this it shows on the screen "Connect to itunes". Then i plug it in to my laptop and connect to itunes. It shows in my itunes " There is a problem with your iphone". My iPhne is 4S, after I downloading the latest OS 5.1 and extracting and verifying, it came to a point on iTunes where it could not at all, activate my iPhone. A message popped up on iTunes saying - "There is a problem with your iPhone"; We're sorry, the iPhone you connected may be damaged and cannot be activated for service. We recommend that you visit your nearest Apple Store for more information. Please kindly suggest me how to do.
Not surprised that you took a paragraph from my post to repost the same issue.
It is a hardware/software fault which you'll have to get the iPhone replaced if you're under warranty. -
my iphone 4 wont connect to my laptop (windows 8) via usb but it will however register that it is there via 'photos' im not using the cable that came with my phone, does that affect the connection?
