After converting from fla to html 5    "413" warnings!

Hi
We have a fla file for a homepage, where we build in Flash 4 and then convert to Flash 5.  After we convert with Wallaby we was a little confused about so many warnings.  Here the start of the big logfile:

I think, there are so many problems that we start to build the webpage from the beginning in html 5.  Regards Marlise

It looks like you have a variety of issues here:
1) Missing fonts. Just like with anything else, you need to have the fonts you use in a file available on the machine where you are trying to utilize that file. I'm guessing the FLA was created on a different machine than where you ran Wallaby. Wallaby is just trying to make you aware that it is changing the fonts since it couldn't access the original font on the system where it was run.
2) Complaints about filters. At this time CSS3 doesn't support filters so these will be dropped in the FLA to HTML5 conversion. Starting with HTML5 will not help you here. You'd have to create your content in a different way in HTML5, change the content in Flash to not have filters, or just ignore the warnings in Wallaby and accept the visual differences. However, sometimes the visual differences w/o filters are too dramatic.
3) Complaints about compiled clips. Likely because of the use of components within the FLA. Wallaby doesn't support actionscript at this time and compiled clips use actionscript. Depending on what components you are using, trying to recreate similar content in HTML5 from scratch may be difficult.
4) Complaints about tween color transforms. These are effectively filters and fall in the same bucket as #2 above.
5) Complaints about dynamic masks. This first release of Wallaby only works with static non-moving content in masks.
6) Complaints about audio. This first release of Wallaby doesn't support sound.
We are actively working on a new release of Wallaby and will continue to add more features to make the transition from FLA to HTML5 easier.

Please proivde advise on how to sucessfully convert the Adobe PDF file to a word document.

    Hi Buster,
The error message you were receiving occurs when you try to convert a dynamic PDF file created with Adobe LiveCycle Designer.  This file is usually already a fillable form.  Unfortunately there is no workaround available for converting documents like this within the ExportPDF service.
    I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can be of further assistance.

  • Unnecessary text behind listbox after converting from a web-page

When I make convertation from htm-page containing listbox to pdf, there also appear text on the back of Listbox object. The strings are equal to Listbox values. If I create listbox manually, these strings not appear. How to fix this bug?

OK, I see now what you mean. It's been a while since I've web-captured an HTML form and I've never noticed that before. I don't think there's anything you can do to prevent it from happening though. You can change the color of the text so it's not visible, or remove it through redaction or other editing tools.

  • Runtime Error 1009 After Converting from Flex 3.6 to 4.5.1

I am in the process of converting my application from SDK 3.6 to 4.5.1.  The process is going smoothly thanks to the many resources out there including Greg Lafrance's series http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flex/articles/migrating-flex-apps-part1.html
I am now getting an error while the application is loading in the browser.  The error text is:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
              at main/initApp()...
The error occurs in the AS code where I am attempting to get the URL from the player using the mx.utils.URLUtil library.  In particular, I am setting a global variable in my app to the URL of the visitor.  The specific code for this is:
    this.stServerName=URLUtil.getServerName(mainApp.url);
Is URLUtil still in use in Flex 4.5.1?  If not, is there another way to get the server name from the host?
    Thanks!
    Lee

URLUtil still exists.  I would verify what is null.

  • Poor jpeg quality after converting from pdf.

I am trying to make a book video out of a collection of pdf files in Premiere Elements 11. Apparently Premiere does not take pdfs so I converted the pdfs to jpegs via Photoshop CS5. When I try to run the video the quality of the images is horrible - very pixalated and some of the text is unreadable. Even though Photoshop psd files are said to be useable I get the same results. Rendering did nothing. Help?

    ksreid
What are the pixel dimensions of your jpegs?
    For now, I will assume 1920 x 1080 pixels.
In Premiere Elements 11 Expert workspace, go to File Menu/New/Project and Change Settings.
In the Change Settings area, change the project preset to:
    NTSC
    DSLR
    1080p
    DSLR [email protected]
After OK'ing the above, you will see the New Project dialog displaying your project preset.
Make sure that there is a check mark next to the option "Force Selected Project Setting on This Project" in the New Project dialog, and
    then OK out of there.
Back in the Premiere Elements 11 Expert workspace, use Add Media/Files and Folders/ to get your source files
into Project Assets from where you drag the source files to the Timeline. Render the Timeline content and
determine if the quality of that content playback in the Edit area monitor is improved in comparison to your prior projects.
You might also explore applying fx Effects/Blur & Sharpen/Sharpen (just a little) to the Timeline content.
What is your intended export for your Timeline content?
Please review and consider and then let us know the outcome.
    Thank you.

  • Kernel panic after converting from ext3 to ext4?

I'm running Arch 64 on a Lenovo ThinkPad R61.  I did a pacman -Syu this morning and upgraded to 2.6.28-ARCH, among other things.  I rebooted to verify that nothing went amiss with the kernel upgrade.  Indeed, there appeared to be no problems.  I then followed some directions on converting my partition from ext3 to ext4.  (I did a tune2fs and then a fsck.)  After finishing the fsck, I rebooted to find the following error message:
kinit: Cannot open root device sda2(8,2)
    kinit: init not found
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
I rebooted twice and got the same result.
    What should I do?

  • Appointments disappear in iCal after converting from MobileMe to iCloud

We recently converted to iCloud from Mobileme after upgrading to 10.7.2 and we have lost all of our appointments, both past and future in all calendars, both on the Macs and in iCloud.
When I first converted my machine, I had duplicate and triplicate entries, then after opening iCal for the third or fourth time, all entries dispapeared.  My wife experienced the same thing this morning.
Checked the "Hide" boxes and all are unticked.  If we add a new appointment, it will duplicate and/or disappear.
I have an iPhone and the calendar is empty on that also.  My wife's Mac does not sync with an iPhone or any other device, just iCloud.
Any clues as to what is going on?

It took over an hour and three people, including second level support, but we have an answer.
Basically there is some confusion between the meta data being held on an external server (iCloud and/or Mobile Me) and the local machine.  Here's the SBS for the solution:
In System Preferences, uncheck all syncing in iCloud (pay attention to messages)
    Logout of iCloud
    Logout of Mobile Me
Sever the Internet connection, killing the connection to the external servers
Restore the Calendar data stored in user/library/calendar via Time Machine or other backup source
Open iCal and export all calendars to a backup location (user/documents will do)
    Reconnect the Internet connection
Open System Preferences > iCloud, log back in to iCloud and re-establish syncing for all desired options, including Calendar
Open iCal and import backed up data
Check calendar for accuracy in iCal and iCloud

  • Converting from .doc to .html

    Hi,
I am utilizing Word 2003 to type my policies and procedures.
I am then using RoboInfo Publisher to convert them to html files.
However when I do this, all of the formatting, bullet points,
tabs, etc. goes out the window and the documents look the same and
are not usable for my nurses. There must be something that I am not
doing either in WORD or in ROBO that will allow the document to
look the same on both ends. Can anyone lend some assistance with
    this.

This all depends on how you have your cascading style sheets
(.css) setup. If, for instance, you have a heading in your word
document formatted as Heading 1 whatever formatting associated with
it in Word (bullet points, font size, font type, color, etc.) will
carry through to Robo unless you apply a certain style sheet to it
after you import it into Robo. Style sheets in Word are typically
visible next to the font type in the standard toolbar. If not
present, they can be located under Format > Styles and
Formatting. You can set up a style sheet that formats Heading 1 (or
whatever you choose to call it) a certain way, Normal a certain
way, etc., apply this style sheet to each of your procedures, and
all of the formatting associated with that style sheet will present
itself. This saves tons of time as well as keeps everything
    consistent. I hope this helps.

  • How to remove the automatically recognized hyperlinks in PDF after converting from Word?

    Hi everyone!
When converting Word to PDF, texts with "http", "www", or email addresses with "@" are automatically hyperlinked.
The way Adobe Acrobat recognizes URLs is not by the text's underlying hyperlinks rather it is by the actual characters in the text.  If the text contains "http" or "www" it recognizes it as a URL address, if it contains "@", it recognizes it as an email address.
I am aware that you could choose to disable the hyperlinks by going to Edit - Preferences - General - untick Create links from URLs. However, other users who have this ticked will still be able to click on the hyperlinks.
In Word, you can specify whether to add a hyperlink or not, or to direct the hyperlink to a different path.  But in Adobe Acrobat, it automatically recognizes the hyperlink by its text.  I know it is possible to manually add a hyperlink to a PDF, but is it possible to remove the automatically recognized hyperlinks?
Is there also some sort of ADM administrative template for this purpose?
    Thanks.
    .m.u.r.d.o.c.h.

I was thinking it could be possible with a document-level script that
removes all links, but then I saw that the link Acrobat adds are not real
link objects, so a script can't remove them. Therefore I think the answer is
no, you can't do it. The only way might be to use shorter addresses in order
to confuse Acrobat into thinking they're just plain text. For example, use "
google.com" instead of "http://www.google.com/". In my tests it remained as
    plain text.

  • Using Word doc after converting from PDF

I have just purchased Adobe Export PDF purely to complete a Job Aaplication form in Word rather than PDF but the Word document does not allow me to edit it properly - i.e. I cannot expand the text boxes to make them bigger and when I try to add in information like my name and the post I'm applying for, it moves existing text from the original PDF doc onto different lines. I assumed once I'd converted it I could use it like a normal Word doc but it seems not. Please advise what I'm doing wrong, thank you.

    Hi Disc9,
In order to help you. Let me know which application of Adobe you are using including the version.
Also let me know the complete workflow how you convert the PDF to docx/doc.
    Regards.

  • WLS 8.1 username/password on startup after converting from WLS 5.1

I have just converted weblogic.properties from a good installation under WLS 5.1
    using WLS 8.1 tools.
The convertion appears to be successful but on startup WLS 8.1 requests a username
and password and none of the combinations I have tried so far worked. They all
lead to a message similar to:
The WebLogic Server did not start up properly
    Reason: weblogic.security.SecurityInitializationException: Authentication for
    user XXXX denied
The original weblogic.properties contained the following entry:
    weblogic.password.system=weblogic
So, on startup I have tried username=system and password=weblogic but that didn't
    work.
    Any sound suggestions most welcome.
    Thank you
    Juan

    Juan:
If you can't get it to boot, I am afraid you may have to "start" over. What
    you can do is.
    1) cd to a new directory
    2) set your environment for 8.1
    3) run "java weblogic.Server" answer prompts for user/pass
    4) kill server
    5) cp config.xml config.bak
    6) copy in your 5.1 converted config.xml, make sure you remove/replace any
encrypted text password portions from your config.xml, putting inplain text
password values. When you boot the server it will reencrypt those sections.
*In general the conversion utility should just provide a guide, I really
think your better off starting a new domain and reconfiguring it "by hand"
with the console, jmx or by hand editing.
    cheers
