After creating successor to a custom IDOC?

Hello
We have a custom IDOC type (for sales orders) in the system. Now business want to pass additional data, as per this requirement am trying to add a new custom segment to this custom IDOC, but am getting the below error,
ZORDR03 has already been released, only display possible
Message no. E0639
Diagnosis
ZORDR03 has already been released. This means that the basic type or extension is locked
against changes and can only be displayed.
Procedure
You can create a successor based on ZORDR03.
I guess, i can not do CANCEL RELEASE from Memu-->Edit! because this custom IDOC is created in older versions, like 46C, currently we are on ECC6.0, hence i need to create a successor, but pls. let me now
1) Do I need to change all the config settings like in WE72, WE82, WE20 O/B Prtaner profiles of EDP13?
2) In what/where else i need to change or replace old ZORDR03  with newley creating ZORDR04?
Thank you

You need to be patient - this is not a Helpdesk where you've raised a high priority ticket...
I'll just say that when we upgraded to ERP6.0, I did not agree with the fact that we could not cancel release on our custom IDOCs and we did not want to create a new version (it's been too long - I don't remember the technical reason for the issue with the new version).  We reset the release in the definition table and made the required changes.  There were no issues with the change.  If you want o go with the 'standard' appraoch, create a new version...

    Hi
    Data Creation in Idoc
IDocs are text encoded documents with a rigid structure that are used to exchange data between R/3 and a foreign system. Instead of calling a program in the destination system directly, the data is first packed into an IDoc and then sent to the receiving system, where it is analyzed and properly processed. Therefore an IDoc data exchange is always an
asynchronous process. The significant difference between simple RFC-calls and IDoc data exchange is the fact, that every action performed on IDocs are protocolled by R/3 and IDocs can be reprocessed if an error occurred in one of the message steps.
While IDocs have to be understood as a data exchange protocol, EDI and ALE are typical use cases for IDocs. R/3 uses IDocs for both EDI and ALE to deliver data to the receiving system. ALE is basically the scheduling mechanism that defines when and between which partners and what kind of data will be exchanged on a regular or event triggered basis. Such a set-up is called an ALE-scenario.
IDoc is a intermediate document to exchange data between two SAP Systems.
*IDocs are structured ASCII files (or a virtual equivalent).
    *Electronic Interchange Document
*They are the file format used by SAP R/3 to exchange data with foreign systems.
*Data Is transmitted in ASCII format, i.e. human readable form
    *IDocs exchange messages
*IDocs are used like classical interface files
IDOC types are templates for specific message types depending on what is the business document, you want to exchange.
WE30 - you can create a IDOC type.
An IDOC with data, will have to be triggered by the application that is trying to send out the data.
FOr testing you can use WE19.
    How to create idoc?
*WE30 - you can create a IDOC type

An IDoc is simply a data container that is used to exchange information between any two processes that can understand the syntax and semantics of the data...
1.IDOCs are stored in the database. In the SAP system, IDOCs are stored in database tables.
2.IDOCs are independent of the sending and receiving systems.
3.IDOCs are independent of the direction of data exchange.
The two available process for IDOCs are
    Outbound Process
    Inbound Process
AND There are basically two types of IDOCs.
    Basic IDOCs
Basic IDOC type defines the structure and format of the business document that is to be exchanged between two systems.
    Extended IDOCs
Extending the functionality by adding more segments to existing Basic IDOCs.
To Create Idoc we need to follow these steps:
    Create Segment ( WE31)
    Create Idoc Type ( WE30)
    Create Message Type ( WE81)

  • How to transfer Customers to GTS immedeately after creating Customer master

    Hi Folks,
Is there a possibility to transfer Customers to GTS immediately after creating Customer master.
I know /SAPSLL/DEBMAS_DISTRIBUTE_R3, but this report should run only at night,
    becaus performance...
So the question is, right after creating the customer you can enter a sales order
and in this situation the customer is not in GTS.
We want to transfer the customer automatically right after(or while) creating the customer to GTS.
Is there any way to obtain this?
    Thanks
    Regards
    Dieter

    Hello Dieter,
unfortunately it not possible to have it done immediately when you create/change a partner.
These data changes are transferred to GTS via change pointers.
You can schedule the change pointers report every 10 minutes but still it has to be done as bgr. job.
At first Activate Change Pointers for Message Types (BD50)
    /SAPSLL/DEBMAS_SLL
and Activate Change Pointers for Reduced Messages - Press create icon to create it. (BD53)
    /SAPSLL/DEBMAS_SLL
Then schedule  RBDMIDOC for /SAPSLL/DEBMAS_SLL which send changes via IDoc.
    Cheers,
    Gabriel.

  • Custom IDOC to create XML file

    Hi,
    We are on 4.7 release.
A custom outbound IDOC type is developed to creates a text file at the location entered in FILE type port.
Now we want to create XML file intead of text file. Is it possible by simply changing the port to XML FILE port? Or do we need to do any modifications inside the FMs for the IDOC?
Similarly for Inbound scenario (using custom IDOC type), do we need any chagnes in FMs to handle IDOCS in XML file format?
    Thanks.

You can even do that conversion of idoc to xml by simple method
create a xml port and use the standard fm there
    and it wud handle that.

  • Track changes in customer material info (VD52) and create custom IDocs

    Dear experts,
we want to track changes, which are made in VD52 (Customer matertial info record) and create custom IDocs (Z-format) based on these changes. What is the best way to do this?
    Best regards,
    David

    Hi,
There are a dedicated BTEs (Business Tranaction Event) for this purpose (transaction FIBF).
    - created customer material infos OUTBOUND_CALL_00504001_E
    - changed customer material infos OUTBOUND_CALL_00504002_E
    - deleted customer material infos OUTBOUND_CALL_00504003_E
You can assign your own FM to the BTE and send custom IDoc whenever there is a new/updated/deletd customer-material info record.

  • How to invoke a Java Custom Code after creating a resource in OIM Console

    Greetings.
I want to invoke a custom code after creating the resource "OID User" on the OIM Administration Console. For example invoke a custom code that creates The Form's resource access descriptor (RAD) on the OID.
I have read the Developer's Guide for Oracle Identity Manager book but I don't get how to solve my requirement.
Should I use a "Java Task" on the design Console?
Could Anybody provide me the detailed steps to do that?
    Thanks

  • Extending an IDoc Type or Creating Custom IDoc type

    Hi Experts,
We need to modify IDoc Type "DESADV01" for adding extra fields. Should I extend this IDoc Type or Create a new Custom IDoc type with the extra fields? Which is the best practice? This is my first time with IDoc functionality. Please let me know.
    Thanks for the help.

    Hi Dev,
    Simple solution man.
Try to create an extension for the Idoc you wanted to extend.
Steps would be as follows: -
    1) Go to WE31, create the z-segments and make them ready
    2) Go to WE30, give some name for the extension and select the radio button extension and click on create button
    3) It will ask you necessary details like which idoc you wanted to extend...Give the details and add the z-segments and save it.
    4) Release it
    Thats it.
    Hope this solves your problem.
    Thanks,

  • Missing field info. after created by copy Customer

    Dear Experts,
Found a problem relevant to creating by copy Customer using XD01. After extending Co. Code & Sales Area Data for the same Customer with ref. to another Co. Code & Sales Area, found that info. of a field "Prev.acct no. (Previous Master Record Number)" under "Co. Code Data - Account Mgt - Reference data", and Partners under "Partner Functions" of Sales Area Data could NOT be copied. Is it a standard SAP logic ? Could you advise reason for this ? Besides these, any other field(s) also CANNOT be copied after creating by copy Customer ?
    Many Thanks,
    KH Fong

    Hello KH Fong,
    "Prev.acct no." issue:
The "copy with reference" is a SAP functionality that allows you to quickly create customers master data. Anyway not all the fields will be copied into the new target master data. Even if You create a customer with reference and all the information will be reported into the new master data.
    EXAMPLE:
    - In Accounting info screen: ALTKN (Previous Master Record Number) or PERNR (Personnel number) are not saved.
    - In Payment transaction accounting screen: LNRZB (Account number of the alternative payee) or ZAHLS (Block key for payment) are not saved.
    - In Correspondence accounting screen: ZSABE (Clerk at vendor), TLFNS (Accounting clerk's telephone number at business partner), TLFXS (Accounting clerk's fax number at the customer/vendor), INTAD (Internet address of partner company clerk) or KVERM (Account memo) neither are saved.
Other fields as Reconciliation account, interest calculation indicator, terms of payment and so on should be reported into the new master data.
    "partner function" issue:
Usually the partner functions, that are mandantory in a partner determination procedure are copied for the customer into the new sales area.
You need to check if the relevant partner functions are set as mandantory partner function in the partner customising:
    - Transaction VOPAN
    - Select 'Cust.Master' -> Button 'Display'
    - Mark the relevant partner determeination procedure, that is
assigned to the account group used, and double-click 'Partner
Functions in Procdure' in the navigation on the left side
    - Check which partner functions are marked as 'MandFunction'
These are the partner functions, that are copied.
    Hope above information is helpful.
    Best regards,
    Crystal Lin
