After deleting last Stickies note and exiting, that note comes back

In Mac OS X 10.8.5, in Stickies, if I delete all my notes, then exit the application, the next time I open it, the last deleted note comes back. This could have privacy implications; don't necessarily want a personal note coming back at work. Am I remembering wrong that previously, in this case, opening Stickies would just open a blank note? Delete should equal delete, in my book.

OK, I'm replying to myself here, just for the record.
The issue has been resolved after I upgraded to a recent system update. Not sure what the update number is, but my Mail version now reads 3.4, and my Mac OS version is now 10.6.4.

  • Tecra M7 - after standby Screen will not come back

On occasion, the screen will turn off as per the power options but will not come back on when the keys are pressed or the mouse is moved. The only way I can get the screen to wake-up is to turn the laptop to tablet mode and back again.
This always wakes the screen up but is annoying to do. This problem is only intermittent and if it occurs at all it is the first time the screen turns off after coming out of hibernate or otherwise turning on.
Is there a fix for this problem?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Not easy to say why it happens.
Does the display turn off automatically or did you set the notebook into standby mode.
Does this happen if the notebook is in the PC mode or tablet PC mode?
If we spoke about standby so as far as I know the notebook will not wake up from standby by moving the mouse. You have to press the power button.
Furthermore you can wake up the display with mouse moves only if the screensaver was on.
However you said that this happens sometimes.
I dont know if it helps but check the Toshiba driver page.
Check the available versions and compare it. Try to upgrade the graphic driver

  • My iPhone would just randomly give me a blue screen and then restart--did that a bunch of times between Tuesday and last night. As of last night, it WILL NOT come back on. iTunes says it's in recovery mode....what does all of this mean???

Tuesday night I was texting a friend and when I went to open her message, my screen went blue and restarted. I just wrote it off as weird and went on about my business. Later that night, I tried to turn on my phone and it would not turn on. I plugged it up, held down the power button, and pressed the home button all numerous times. I looked online and it said to do a "hard reset" by holding down the power and home button at the same time--my phone then came on. Throughout Wednesday, it would give me a blue screen and restart--nothing major just really annoying. I took it to the local Verizon store where I bought the phone from and he said that it was some type of hardware defect and I was still under my year warranty so I could get a new one for free--the free phone won't be here until tomorrow, Saturday. I took it home and it didn't give me any trouble for a couple of hours. The next day it was cooperating and then I left town for a little while and it acted up (blue screen and then restarting) a few times. When I got home, it acted up again and so I restarted the phone and it was working fine. A few minutes later, I tried to check my messages and the phone was off again. No matter what I do, my phone will not come back to life. It had at least 45% battery last time I looked at it. I decided to plug the phone up to my computer and see what it did--my computer recognizes that there is a phone hooked to it and it says that it's in "recovery mode". It also said that if I'm having issues with my phone, that I need to reset the phone via iTunes. I guess the questions that arise are
    1. Why is my phone doing this?
    2. If I reset my phone, will it go back to working again? I ask that because I don't want Verizon to charge me $300 when they send me the replacement phone and I won't need it (assuming that the phone decides to work once it's been reset).
    3. What type of hardware defect is this that is causing this issue, not only with my iPhone 5S but others as well?
    4. Shouldn't people be notifying Apple and letting them know that they need to fix this issue?
    5. Should I report this issue to Apple even though I didn't buy the phone directly from them, but through Verizon?
Any help that anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated! This whole situation has me stressed out and seriously confused.

  • CQ62-215DX hybernates upon closing notebook and does not come back on after opening screen again

My CQ62-125DX  Product WQ5856UA#ABA   shut down when book was closed in the on position.  The screen remains black athough Cap lock light s intermitent. I shut down to reboot, and system sounds and acts as if t was coing o, but screen never lights up.
This happened only after the laptop screen was closed and reopened.  after giving up I decided to press the power button three week later, and it came on, but thinking all was Ok after a couple of days, again I closed the laptop and screen will not come back on upon opening.  It seems to gointo hybernate mode, but will not wake up again.   If it happens to come on again I will go in and shut off the energy saving featues, so it does not go into hybernatiion,   but mean while......  What fix do you have for this issue.   I'm not doing anythingut of the ordinary, I look online, and see that many people experience these symptoms.   Have you looked into this and figured how to solve this glitch??      Thanks in advance for you help  ALbert

Same thing here!! I was calling my wife and it happened 3 times in a row in a matter of minutes. I rebooted the phone and it went away. Hasn't crept up on me again, yet (knock on wood).
I don't know whether it makes a difference and whether they are technically the same, but I upgraded the firmware that was released 07/10/2008 that is from Apple's Servers from version 5A345 to 5A347 just to see if this fixed any last minute glitches.
I hope this problem never surfaces again. We all paid a lot for these and spent a lot of time waiting for activation.

  • Deleting a Stickie Note

I want to delete a Stickie note but the Delete Option in Edit is greyed out.  If I put my cursor on the note and press delete or option delete, some of the text is deleted from the note but the note and the remaining text is still there.  The note will not let me drag it to the trash. Any help would be appreciated.

The wish list only works on apps you have to pay for. To get it tap the icon of the app you want to save. After it opens at the upper right corner is a box with a arrow. Tap that then tap add to wish list list in the box that opens.

  • How can I delete apps in iTunes and have that sync to my iPhone and iPad?

How can I delete apps in iTunes and have that sync to my iPhone and iPad? I don't want to delete 3 separate times for each item. I just carefully chose 30-35 apps to get rid of via iTunes, hoping it would sync to my devices, only to find I have to repeat the process on my iPad, take notes, then repeat it on my iPhone. It wasn't always so tedious was it?
Here's the "Help" I got from Apple. They even quoted my question back to me then proceeded to answer with something very different and completely missing the point.
I understand that you would like to delete the Apps. I know how eager you are to get the required information and I will be happy to assist you.
You can remove individual songs, audiobooks, and videos from your iPod, iPhone, or iPad. Removing an item from your device doesn't delete it from your iTunes library.
To remove items from a device other than an iPod shuffle, first make sure that iTunes is set up to manually manage items.
    1. Connect your iPod, iPhone, or iPad to your computer.
    2. When the iPod, iPhone, or iPad icon appears in iTunes, select it.
    3. Unless your device is an iPod shuffle, click the Summary tab and make sure "Manually manage music and videos" or "Manually manage music" is selected.
    4. If the disclosure triangle to the left of your iPod, iPhone, or iPad (below Devices) is closed, click the triangle so that you can see the device's contents.
    5. Select the item you want to delete and press the Delete key.
This was not helpful in any way and I am still unable to delete apps on my devices in a global, iTunes based way. Each device still requires its own independent process.

Match was off.  I made all of the changes and then went through the "Turn on iTunes Match" option.  I now have deleted some tracks, edited the Metadata in CDDA, and then added it back.  This worked fine, but it is not a good solution.
I just tried making some edits and use the "Update iTunes Match" and that seemed to work.  It looks like the real answer is that Match must be up and operational, then you can make changes and run the Update to incorporate the changes.  However, if Match has a problem then Signing Out and back in to your store account and going through the process of Turning On Match (were you get the questions, "Add this Computer to Match" will overwrite any changes.
Since this relies on the stability of iTunes, I won't be making a lot of changes between updates.

my iphone came up with that timing circle and just turned off and did not come back on ? even when i charge it now it still wont turn on ,do you know the problem?

If the battery was empty (and it may then take 10 to 15 minutes of charging before it will respond), then have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.

my iphone went black and it will not come back on even after i held the botons down for a min

    Hey dodie67,
Thanks for the question. Sounds like your iPhone stopped responding to buttons, switches, or touchscreen input, so you'd want to go through the troubleshooting steps in the following article and see if that resolves the issue:

  • I have my AIR plugged into another monitor and after it goes to sleep sometimes it sounds like the system is running and it will not come back up..  I have to restart it.   What is this..  Please help

I have a macbook air and i have it hooked to another monitor and I love it but lately it has after it goes to sleep for a while it sounds like it is trying to run the drive or fan really hard and when I try to bring it alive it does not come back to life so I have to hard boot it and then restart it.   What is this...

Go into Sys. Pref , and power settings and UNcheck "put hard disks to sleep" on both power tab and battery tab.
When on projector use with your Air and a presentation, dont close the monitor or sleep your Air.
Verify any coincident applications running that can/could conflict with projector / sleep occurrence by running Etrecheck:
