After dn/load 5, Google mail scroll dn arrow hidden behind alter page size triangular icon making scroll inoperative

I am running Windows 7.
I downloaded the update to Firefox (now 5) with the result that the scroll arrow in the bottom right hand corner is now sharing that space with the small triangular icon that alters the size of the viewed page. Scrolling down can be achieved in the normal manner, by clicking on top right hand arrow but to scroll up I have to click on the right hand bar etc.. To click on the bottom arrow only results in the page reducer taking over with the scroll arrow obsolete. Any ideas without telling me to reinstate Firefox 4 ??? I mourn the loss of Google toolbar!!! • ARE YOU AWARE, THAT PROBABLY GOOGLE MAIL, GMAIL, HAS INTERFERED IN LIGHTBEAM'S PAGE SIZE ? I AM NOT ABLE TO SEE ALL THE GRAPH SIGN'S DOWN UNDER. CAN YOU RESET?

Are you aware that probably Google mail, has interfered in Lightbeam's page size ?
I am no longer able to see all the Graph Sign's in the centre of the page because they are now in majority, so almost completely, vertical down the horizontal line. ( although, Reset Zoom level is adjusted to 100% )
Can you reset the page size for me, and also the Graph Logo's back to the centre of the page again. Please.
    At the same time:
My touch screen now, from my laptop, is extremely more Sensitive for Static load of my hands, resulting in trouble during the writing process, ... because, now the writing cursor, jumps away unexpected if my hand comes near to the Touch Screen.
It triggers my temper, ... Please, can You help me out here ???
    Small history:
After I used the possibilities of blocking several Direct and In-directs followers of my personal Internet activities, it is Google Mail, who is in War with me now, and inside Gmail I am no longer able to sign out.
Because Gmail lay out is partly out of service.
Thank You all for your cooperation.

It is possible to reset the zoom size.Have you tried [[Font size and zoom - increase the size of web pages|Firefox's zoom feature]]? This will help increase the size of web pages.
    * To make things bigger, press '''Ctrl''' and '''&#43''' at the same time.
    * To make things smaller, press '''Ctrl''' and '''-''' at the same time.
    * To reset the size back to normal, press '''Ctrl''' and '''0''' at the same time.
You can also use the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2592/ NoSquint]. add-on to change the default zoom level for all websites at once. After setting your global zoom level, you can still fine-tune the zoom on individual sites.
    '''Using NoSquint:'''
#After installing NoSquint, make sure you have the Add-on Bar displayed:
#*Right-click the new tab button ("+") or a blank area of the tab bar to the right of it and choose Add-on Bar from the shortcut menu.
#Click the % on the Add-on Bar to call up site preferences, then click the Global Settings button, then the Zooming tab.
#*You can experiment with sizes larger than 125%, but it's not recommended that you go higher than 150% unless you have a large high-resolution monitor.
If there are particular sites that still present a problem, feel free to post their URLs.
Please let us know if this helped you!
    Thank you.

  • Latest version of Firefox is having problems loading sites, it tries to load to Google Analytics. No error messages, just a page that won't load. How do I stop this?

Latest version of Firefox is having problems loading some sites, it tries to load and then gets taken over trying to load Google Analytics. No error messages, just a page that won't load. How do I get rid of this, it is a "pain in the neck"
== URL of affected sites ==
    http://

I just spent 3 days with this issue as well. I finally fixed it by reluctantly adding yet another add-on called ADBLOCK
I was able to selectively block google-analytics. Now pages that weren't loading before are now loading.
    eg vimeo.com starbucks.com & other random sites.
This was a tough one to fix because there is NO ERROR MESSAGE..page just shows it's loading...forever..& the bottom of my browser says 'waiting for google analytics'. I finally figured out google analytics is the culprit. Ironically, some help pages in trying to find a fix wouldn't load for me due to google analytics arghhh!
Im on a macbookpro & Safari worked fine for these same sites. It was just Firefox. I nearly switched back to Safari because of this stupid issue.
I'm wondering if this was caused by recent firefox 'updates'...

  • YouTube will not work on safari for me on the ipad. Is there anyway to fix this? I can go anywhere else on the internet fine and it works on google chrome, but on safari it shows a blank screen with the bar on top after it loads.

YouTube will not work on safari for me on the ipad. Is there anyway to fix this? I can go anywhere else on the internet fine and it works on google chrome, but on safari it shows a blank screen with the bar on top after it loads, if it's even loading at all.
I do not know if it's relevant or not, but I got a message on my ipad while on safari saying that my iPhone has a virus. I looked it up and it seems it might have just been an ad from the website I was on, but it happened around the same time YouTube stopped working.

You will find that using the YouTube app will provide a better viewing experience for YouTube videos.

  • Google mail will only load as HTML, Chrome works OK.

Using Firefox 21 on Windows 7 Home. Ever since last update of Firefox my Google mail will not load as standard version. Load starts but never completes. If I use the HTML version of Gmail it works OK, but the HTML version is very limited. I thought it was a problem with the new Google mail but I tried using Google Chrome to browse and the standard version works OK.
Is this a Firefox problem or a Google plot to get folks to use Chrome?

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    (1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
    (2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site:
    * right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove your Google cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

  • My Firefox won't quit and gives a "not responding" message after I use Google Mail. I have tried starting in "safe" mode and the problem still occurs.

I have an issue where Firefox wont' quit and gives a "not responding" message after I have been using Google Mail. It works fine when I am not using that program. I have tried Safe Mode and the problem still happens when I go to Google Mail, so it is not connected with add-ons, extensions, etc.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.<BR><BR>

  • Google mail, calendar and contacts won't load but salesforce, facebook will - Help

When I hit mail, calendar or contacts words begin flashing so fast you can hardly read them...loading, google, mail etc. in the space to type in a web address. On the screen itself, the word loading flashes on and off, On the tab there is the same very rapid cycling of words, loading, google etc.
Other on line applications seem fine like salesforce, facebook etc.
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Firefox to no avail. I can get to my mail through Safari but not through Firefox.
    Can you help me?

Never mind... It was indeed something simple that I missed (my icloud account was attached to an apple ID I didn't even know existed -- created for me?? ... fixed it - settings, icloud, sign out, signed back in as my actual apple ID).

  • Why [Google mail] folder still appears after updating to Mavericks in Mail

    Hello,
I have updated to Mavericks. After configuring Mail to sync with my Google account, the folder [Google Mail] is still present in Mail and the Important and Starred labes are in it. However, both subfolders, Improtant and Starred, are not syncronizing.
I have checked in Goolge and Important and Starred are set to work with IMAP. The strangest thing is that those folders should not be inside [Google Mail], but they are in my case. Does someone could help me to remove [Google Mail] folder and make Important and Starred work?
    Thanks !

Several times I've re-entered my passwords under Preferences/Internet Accounts/iCloud and it won't save since I've installed Mavericks.  Also, the iCloud icon in the left column in Preferences/Internet Accounts/iCloud is greyed out but allows me to click on it to set-up.  When I click on iCloud the password is filled out but the "Enable this account" check-box is not checked.  I check it, and all seems correct.  The icon is no longer grey, the password is correct, the "activate this account" check-box is checked.  Then, when I launch mail, notes etc. I'm still prompted to re-enter my apple ID.  The log-in loop continues.  For years my keychain has worked perfectly.  What has changed in Mavericks?

  • Loading speed for mail slow after iOS6 download

After I updated to iOS6 my loading time for mail is up to one minute, when it was 10 seconds under iOS5.x. Any similar experience or even a solution.
    Greetings from Germany

Okay, I searched other support communities and found this.  It seemed to work for me.
Oh and also try changing the DNS to 8.8.8.8. That isn't in the article, but it can work like a charm sometimes.
You can do that but tapping in to settings>wi-fi. Where you see the name of your network, tap on the blue arrow. It will take you to your wi-fi settings and you should see DNS. Tap on where the DNS numbers are and change it to 8.8.8.8.

  • After firefox loads, the first web pulled in takes 4-5 minutes, then all the rest of the webs work normally. It doesn't matter what web i pull in first. I have norton360.

After Firefox loads the home page (google), the first web site I click in my bookmarks takes 4-6 minutes to come in. Clicking on screen makes it go half-tone until it loads. From then on, all other bookmarks come in fast. It doesn't matter what bookmark I load first, it always takes major minutes. I am using Norton 360 and have even disabled the security and web checking and it made no difference.

Okay, here's what I found out. Followed the above instructions...no joy. I think this maybe needs to be posted in a general OS forum, as I'm thinking this is more about that vs just being about iPhoto/iTunes. Here's what I tried and learned.
A new account allowed iPhoto to open up immediately. However, iTunes seemed a touch slow...not sure if that is just due to it being a new account. So, I deleted that account and moved on to the preferences instructions above.
I removed all preferences and placed them in a "preferences A" folder on the desktop. Launched iPhoto and got the exact same results. Super slow...took forever to open. Took forever to close. Same with iTunes.
So I placed all of the removed preferences back into the folder and decided to start launching and closing apps to see what's affected, what's not. Here are the findings.
iPhoto - The worst of all. Takes 4 minutes to open.
Mail - Opens fine, closes very slowly...apprx 1 minute
Calculator - This now opens incredibly slowly. Also noticed that the blue light below a launching app in the dock that seems to radiate was not radiating immediately....just sort of sat there. About a minutes passes, then it radiates for a second and calculator opens. Quitting is instant
Garageband - Launching is slooooow, quitting is instant.
Lightroom 3 - quitting is slow....quit results in upper-left menu items flashing once, then beach ball for about 30 seconds.
These apps check out perfectly fine with no problems launching or quitting: iCal, Safari, Firefox, Aperture, Photoshop (CS3), Illustrator (CS3), InDesign (CS3), Acrobat, Suitcase, Image Capture, Disk Utility, Text Edit, Photo booth, Final Cut Pro.
So I'm at a loss. This may be more of an OS issue, but figured I'd post here to follow up on the suggestions given. I think I'll pose a question in the OS forums. I'm thinking this might mean boxing up the iMac and making a trip to the genius bar. It's incredibly frustrating.

  • My google mail is opened in the sidebar by mistake...how do I remove or close

I had my google mail open and in error clicked on the side bar and the page opened also in there too.
a Warning comes up telling me that changing anything on the page may void the waranty, stability etc.
I need this removed before I really mess up. I have not been able to find a way to close this message etc.

Usually pages don't open in the sidebar. One way they can is if you click a bookmark created by a web page (e.g., if there's a link in the page to bookmark the page). If the sidebar opened after you clicked a bookmark, you can turn off that option by editing the bookmark's properties. In short, right-click the bookmark, choose Properties, then uncheck the box for "Load in the sidebar".
As for where you are at the moment, it sounds as though you may be viewing the about:config preferences editor. You can just close that tab, or if it's in the sidebar, just close the whole window. You shouldn't need to make any changes there.
    Does that help?
